Usman Nurmagomedov isn't getting big-fight feels from Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje.
Lightweight champion Topuria (17-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) unifies his belt with interim champ Gaethje (27-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) in the UFC Freedom 250 main event on June 14 from the White House in Washington D.C.
PFL lightweight champion Nurmagomedov (21-0) recalls how his cousin Khabib Nurmagomedov sold the most pay-per-views in UFC history when he fought Conor McGregor, and how Topuria isn't generating nearly as much hype for his fight against Gaethje.
"Can you imagine brother? I didn't even know when they were going to fight," Nurmagomedov told MMA Junkie. "I swear, I don't know. I remember when Khabib was fighting with McGregor, every kid knew about that fight. Every even grandmother, grandfather, even kings from some countries, everybody knew.
"But they do some big tournament, White House, but **** ody knows about it. I don't know why. Maybe because of this short guy, he's not so famous. I don't know why the people now don't like the lightweight division in the UFC. But if I will come there, I'm going to fix it."

Earlier this week, I was fortunate enough to participate in a panel to create the composite rankings of the top 10 most important Buffalo Bills for the future of the franchise. This activity is led annually by Joe Marino of Locked On Bills, and it always leads to some fantastic discussion.
You can find the episode that unveils the top 10 selections here, with commentary from the panel justifying some of their selections. The panel included 16 beat reporters and content creators, including fellow Buffalo Rumblings staffers Chris Trapasso and Bruce Nolan. It is an enjoyable exercise, and I would encourage everyone to submit their own lists in the comments section below.
Every year this is a difficult process, as the Bills have a talented roster that includes a bit of a logjam after the obvious choice in the top spot (spoiler alert: he wears #17 ). My top 10 list is included below, with some brief commentary that led to the pick. I will also share my brief list for honorable mention that included three players I regrettably had to omit.
Josh Allen – There is no other option that I could seriously consider to take the top spot. Someday Allen’s time with the Bills will come to an end, but for now he is the obvious pick.
James Cook – The most dynamic weapon on the Bills offense made things click last season. It is no small feat to lead the NFL in rushing, and expectations remain high for Cook this year.

Arkansas basketball will have three representatives at the 2026 NBA Draft.
Darius Acuff Jr., Meleek Thomas and Trevon Brazile will hear their names called at some point from June 23-24, officially beginning their NBA careers. Acuff and Brazile were always draft-bound, but Thomas was a candidate to return to the Razorbacks for the 2026-27 season.
In the end, Thomas kept his name in the draft, while Billy Richmond III decided to come back to school for his junior year. Richmond will try to become a first-round pick for the 2027 draft.
John Calipari had a 17-year streak with a first-round draft pick end in 2025, but Acuff and Thomas will likely start another streak for the Hall of Fame coach in a few weeks.
Here are the latest mock draft predictions for the three Arkansas players.

American businessman and social media personality Dave Portnoy is well-known for his honest takes on the crypto market and he doesn't hesitate to share his views even when he is sitting on a multimillion-dollar loss.
The Barstool Sports founder posted a confessional video on X on June 4 in which he admitted that as far as crypto is concerned, ***** ody has ever had as bad timing as him.
Related: Jim Cramer has blunt response to Bitcoin 'murder'
Calling the past week a "freaking disaster" for crypto, Portnoy said he was panicking like everyone else. He revealed that he holds Bitcoin (BTC) and XRP, which were trading at roughly $63,000 and $1.17, respectively, when he recorded the video. The decline, he said, has left him down millions of dollars.
Portnoy also said he bought the shares of Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR) a week ago while it was already crashing.

“I am humbled when I reflect on what we have built together and where our company stands today,” said Knight in a Thursday news release. … “As I have been approaching this transition in recent years, I knew this bridge would have to be crossed at some point.
“For me, our merger with Knight and Swift was our greatest collective achievement. The reunification of the Swift and Knight families, combined with timing, diligence, operational improvements, and significant financial returns, enabled us to achieve everything that followed.”

The Spurs knew an adjustment had to be made on Jalen Brunson, who torched San Antonio in the second half of a loss in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
And they did make that adjustment. But, they didn’t have an answer early for Karl-Anthony Towns, the Knicks’ best player on the floor for beginning of Friday’s 105-104 Game 2 win in Frost Bank Center.
What was missing? A moment in the fourth for Towns to steady his sputtering team as the Spurs went on a 14-0 run in hopes of tying the series, 1-1.
In fact, Towns didn’t touch the ball for six consecutive possessions late in the fourth quarter as the Spurs sparked a comeback attempt.
It was a tale of two halves. After scoring 17 points by halftime, Towns logged just four the rest of the way.

The ACC/SEC Challenge will continue for the fourth time next season. The SEC holds a 2-0-1 lead over the ACC in both men’s and women’s play. The two leagues revealed the full slate for next season on Friday.
The Virginia Tech Hokies will host the Ole Miss Rebels in the challenge, with the game scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
The Hokies defeated South Carolina in the ACC/SEC Challenge last season, 86-83. Virginia Tech and Ole Miss have met five times over the years, with the Hokies holding a 3-2 advantage. VT won the last matchup in 2017, 83-80 in overtime, as Kerry Blackshear led five Hokies in double figures with 17 points. The two teams also met in 2016, with Tech winning that one as well. Buzz Williams was Virginia Tech’s coach in both of those games.
The Lady Hokies will face one of college basketball’s most prestigious programs, the Tennessee Lady Volunteers, on Thursday, December 3, 2026. Virginia Tech will also host the women’s game. The two schools have met a total of 12 times, with Tennessee holding an 8-4 edge. The most interesting part of this series is that VT has won four of the previous five meetings between the schools, including a 73-64 victory in the 2023 Sweet Sixteen.
The men’s team missed the NCAA Tournament in each of the last four seasons, while the women’s team has made the tournament in five of the last six seasons. The Lady Hokies were defeated in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament by the Oregon Ducks.

The Knicks proved that Wednesday's 105-95 Game 1 win at the San Antonio Spurs was no fluke, doubling down in Friday's 105-104 Game 2 victory and taking a commanding 2-0 lead as the NBA Finals heads to New York.
Karl-Anthony Towns was the best player on the floor, continuing his dominance of Victor Wembanyama. Whether New York pushed ahead against San Antonio or ended the Spurs' momentum -- the Knicks faced a largest deficit of 12 points, 37-25, after Stephon Castle's triple at the second quarter's 11:32 mark -- Towns was a common denominator on both ends. Towns scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half, including a corner trey with 10 seconds before halftime to give New York a 56-52 lead at the break. He was the X factor, bringing physicality and energy from the jump while Wembanyama struggled to get going until the second half.
Alongside Towns, Mikal Bridges stepped up in a development that especially mattered while Towns hit foul trouble and Jalen Brunson struggled shooting. Bridges blossomed after nine points two days ago, scoring 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and a 4-for-6 clip from deep. Among other moments, Bridges' jumper at the third quarter's 1:15 mark pushed the Knicks ahead 82-73 and ******* isted an alley-oop dunk to Mitchell Robinson on the ensuing New York possession to create an 8-1 run into the 35-second point. Wembanyama ended the spurt on a field goal with 19 seconds left to keep the Knicks' lead at single digits, 84-75, entering the fourth quarter but not before New York's momentum was apparent.
As mentioned, Brunson was not himself from the field, posting a 7-of-25 mark. He found his spots for timely buckets, but the Spurs were physical with him early and kept the Knicks' leader out of sorts. For Brunson to have that type of game and New York still dominate San Antonio on the road speaks volumes about where the team is at entering Games 3 and 4. Brunson's five points in the final two minutes of the game, including the decisive free throw on a 1-of-2 trip to the line, should also not be discounted.
Landry Shamet's return to the Knicks for the 2025-26 season is perhaps the move of the past offseason. Shamet, as he has been in spots throughout his second year with the franchise, was nails for New York off the bench. Shamet scored 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting in 30 minutes, including two triples to start the fourth quarter and maintain the Knicks' 12- and eight-point leads, 87-75 and 90-82.

Titans wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson wore No. 17 in his four seasons with the Giants. When he signed with the ******* ans, Robinson could have tried to buy the No. 17 from Chimere Dike, who earned All-Pro honors as a returner last season as a rookie, or pick another number.
He chose another number in honor of a friend.
"I didn't want [No. 17]," Robinson told Kay Adams of FanDuel TV. "I was going in wanting a single digit, and then also my late friend, Rondale Moore, he wore No. 4. So that was kind of the reasoning behind me getting that number. Just kind of to honor him, and the time that he was here. That's where I was going in. I wanted No. 4. I don't know about Carnell [Tate] and exactly what went on with him and Chim. But, yeah, I was good with leaving 17 in the past."
Tate wore No. 17 at Ohio State. The first-round wide receiver will wear No. 14 with the ******* ans.
Moore died in February from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Italy's Matteo Arnaldi says withdrawing from his first Grand Slam semi-final through illness is an experience he would "not wish on anybody".
Arnaldi, 25, was due to play his close friend Flavio Cobolli in the French Open last four on Friday, but pulled out shortly before the match because of a virus.
The announcement was made at about 17:35 BST, 25 minutes before the Italian pair were due to walk out on court in Paris.
"I tried to see if I could get on court but every time I get up I feel dizzy. It was the right decision to take," said 104th-ranked Arnaldi, who had never previously gone past the fourth round of a major.
"I just know I can't move, I can't eat and I can't drink - there was no way I was able to play."

PARIS (AP) — Former American supermodel Carré Otis filed a complaint Friday at a Paris court alleging she was raped and trafficked by Gérald Marie, the former European head of Elite Model agency, in a move her lawyer said is meant to encourage other potential victims to come forward.
Marie has denied the allegations and cannot be prosecuted over Otis' case because of France's statute of limitations. But the complaint could allow other women, whether their cases are time-barred or not, to join the proceedings, Otis' lawyer, Mathias Darmon, said in a statement to The ******* ociated Press.
The complaint, seen by the AP, alleges rape of a minor and human trafficking.
Sent to Paris in 1986 by Elite Model agency, Otis, who was then 17, was housed in Marie's apartment, "mistakenly believing that he wanted to support her modeling career," according to the complaint. "While living in the apartment, she alleges that she was raped on multiple occasions by the accused, who subsequently arranged for her to be provided to other wealthy men across Europe."
Otis was never paid for her modeling work, the complaint said.

The May jobs report looked strong on the surface. Underneath, it had the market's favorite problem: concentration.
Call it the labor market's "Magnificent Three": The leisure and hospitality, local government, and healthcare sectors drove nearly all of last month's 172,000 payroll gain.
Friday's payroll report smashed expectations, with the unemployment rate holding at 4.3% and prior months revised higher. But the sector breakdown mattered just as much as the headline. Leisure and hospitality added 70,000 jobs, local government added 55,000, and healthcare added 35,200.
Everything else added only 11,800 jobs.
That makes the jobs market look a lot like the stock market. The headline number is holding up, but the leadership is narrow.

Elon Musk is poised to become the world's first trillionaire when ***** eX (SPAX.PVT) stock debuts next week, with the company's target IPO price valuing his stake at a considerable $866.5 billion on paper.
On Wednesday, ***** eX said in a filing that it will seek proceeds of $75 billion from its initial public offering, a record amount for any IPO. In the filing, the company said it would offer 555,555,555 shares at $135 each. It's an unusual move not to implement a price range and offer a set price, perhaps because demand for ***** eX stock is high.
Musk holds approximately 42% of ***** eX's equity through a dual-class share structure that grants him roughly 82% of voting control via Class B stock. At the $135 IPO price, the updated prospectus values that equity stake at $866.5 billion.
While that amount nearly gets him to $1 trillion, there's also his Tesla (TSLA) stake.
Musk holds approximately 717 million Tesla shares, not including vested stock options, according to the most recent regulatory filings — a position that, at the electric carmaker's current price of roughly $420 per share, is worth approximately $301.1 billion.

US stocks fell early Friday, with tech leading the way down after the release of May's jobs report showed 172,000 jobs added in the month.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) fell 0.3%. The benchmark S&P 500 (^GSPC) slid 1%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) sank 1.8%.
The May jobs report blew past expectations for job growth, with US employers adding 172,000 jobs last month, compared with economists’ expectations for around 88,000. The unemployment rate held steady at 4.3%.
But the strong report also fueled bets on a rate hike from the Federal Reserve at some point this year, with the labor market stabilizing as inflation runs high. Traders are now fully pricing in a rate hike from the central bank by the end of the year, even as President Trump continues to call for cuts as Kevin Warsh, his appointee to chair the Fed, takes the helm.
The S&P 500 is at risk of snapping a historic weekly winning streak. The benchmark index is looking for a 10th straight week of gains, which would be the longest such run since 1985. Broadcom (AVGO) earnings sent shockwaves through the AI trade, and shares continued their sell-off on Friday, while chipmakers broadly saw sharp declines.

LAS VEGAS – Belal Muhammad finds Ian Machado Garry tricky, but thinks he needs to clean up one major area if he wants to become UFC champion.
Muhammad's most recent loss came to Machado Garry by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 265 this past November. UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) is eyeing his first **** le defense against Machado Garry (17-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) in August, and Muhammad weighed in on the Irishman's chances.
"Ian is very smart. He understands strategy. He understands how to move and distance," Muhammad told MMA Junkie and other reporters at Wednesday's media day. "I think it'll be a lot of running, but it's just for Islam to catch him and try to grab hold of him."
Muhammad (24-5 MMA, 15-5 UFC), who will look to rebound against Gabriel Bonfim (19-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in Saturday's UFC Fight Night 278 (Paramount+) headliner at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, explains what makes Machado Garry's style so deceptive.
However, former welterweight champion Muhammad wonders if Machado Garry can keep up his style for a championship fight.
