Lane Thomas was a late scratch in the Braves lineup today. We have heard why from Walt Weiss.
I'm not a doctor, but as I understand it an intercostal strain is slightly different from an oblique strain. An intercostal strain affects the muscles under the ribs. An oblique strain affects the sides of the abdomen. In any case, it's an Injured List visit for Thomas. He will join Bryce Elder as the second Braves player placed there this week.
In case you missed it, Mauricio Dubon pulled away from the plate with an oblique issue in today's game. According to reports, Walt said postgame that he felt something in his back and it wasn't a big deal. We might see DaShawn Keirsey Jr. on the active roster for the Philadelphia series tomorrow, but we don't know at this point. I'm not sure what the Braves will do if that Dubon goes down. We will see more of Ha-Seong Kim, I'm sure. But I'll take two hits a game like today while he's gone.
Oblique injuries are going around. Y'all be safe out there.

Baidu announced on September 4 that its Hong Kong Class A shares are now included in both the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs, effective September 7.. The change gives eligible mainland investors direct access to the Hong Kong listing, potentially widening liquidity and the shareholder base. It does not alter the operating competition between Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) and Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA), which are pursuing AI through different mixes of models, cloud infrastructure, chips, and consumer distribution.
Baidu's bull case combines search traffic, its Ernie ecosystem, cloud services, and Kunlunxin chips. Stock Connect can make that story easier for mainland investors to own, while its dual-primary Hong Kong listing broadens access. The bear case is that improved trading access does not repair weak advertising, guarantee cloud share, or remove geopolitical and regulatory risk. The catalyst affects liquidity more directly than earnings.
Insider Monkey counted 49 hedge funds holding Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) at June 30, down from 50 at March 31. David Tepper's Appaloosa Management disclosed 1,295,000 shares, 87% more than in Q1. That increase shows one manager's conviction, not a broad rise in fund participation.
Alibaba's June-quarter AI Cloud and Compute Services revenue reached $7.1 billion, up 45% year over year, while segment adjusted EBITA rose 133% to $830 million. Its bull case is a full stack spanning Qwen models, cloud, proprietary chips, and commerce distribution. The bear case is capital intensity, fierce domestic competition, exposure to consumer spending, and the possibility that fast AI growth remains too small to transform the larger group's valuation.
Ninety-seven hedge funds held Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) in Q2, down from 102 in Q1. Ken Fisher's Fisher **** et Management disclosed 5,096,418 shares after trimming the position by 0.5%.

Tight end George Kittle traveled with the 49ers to Australia, which was a sign he would play in Thursday night's season opener. It sounds like Kittle will play, but how much remains to be seen.
"It's been pretty cool to see Kittle out there looking like himself, looking fresh," offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak said, via David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com. "How that affects him on game day and what the workload is, that will be determined. But he looks good to me.
"He's practicing full speed. He's getting a ton of reps. So I feel like we're in good shape."
Kittle tore his right Achilles in a Jan. 11 playoff game against the Eagles. He underwent surgery three days later, with Rams team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache repairing Kittle's Achilles.
Kittle made his seventh career Pro Bowl last season despite playing only 11 regular-season games due to hamstring and ankle injuries. He recorded 57 receptions for 628 yards and seven touchdowns.

Back when Pamela Anderson was diagnosed with hepatitis C in the '90s, her doctor said she had about 10 years to live. "The Last Showgirl" star opened up about her diagnosis Sept. 6, as she received an award at the amfAR Gala in Venice. "Back in the late '90s, when I was diagnosed with hepatitis C, there was no cure," Anderson said. "I'm sure that colored and corrupted my decisions. It was not fear of death but fear of what might happen to my young children. It turned my life inside out."
The "Baywatch" actress disclosed her diagnosis in 2002, and said she got hepatitis C by sharing a needle with ex-husband rock drummer Tommy Lee. Lee has denied this. Hepatitis C, a viral infection that primarily affects the liver, can exist quietly in the body and is easy to overlook. The infection is spread from blood-to-blood contact. Sharing needles or syringes is the most common cause of new infections, according to Dr. William Carey, a senior hepatologist at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

On August 24, ePlus (NASDAQ:PLUS) announced it had completed the acquisition of the **** ets of Daymark Solutions, a Massachusetts-based IT services provider, with the deal having closed three days earlier on August 21. The announcement landed three weeks after the company posted first-quarter fiscal 2027 results on August 4, showing sales climbing even as profit slipped. Together, the two headlines capture where ePlus stands right now: reaching for new growth in cloud and security while working through pressure on its existing business.
Daymark, founded in 2001, built its business serving highly regulated, data-intensive industries including energy and utilities, healthcare, life sciences, defense, and financial services. Its core capabilities span modern data center infrastructure, cloud, Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and cybersecurity, and its status as a Microsoft Tier 1 Cloud Solution Provider slots directly alongside ePlus' existing Azure and Microsoft 365 professional and managed services work. The acquisition also gives ePlus a deeper foothold in the New England region, particularly metropolitan Boston. CEO Mark Marron framed it as a way to gain a specialized Microsoft team that could serve as a catalyst for growth across Azure, Microsoft 365, security, and Copilot.
The timing lines up with what was already ePlus' fastest-growing segment. Managed services revenue rose 15.1% to $51.3 million in the first quarter, the segment's first quarter above $50 million, with gross profit up 11.3% on that growth. The balance sheet backs further moves like this one: cash and equivalents reached $448.9 million as of June 30, up from $410.8 million three months earlier, giving ePlus room for additional acquisitions, dividends, and buybacks. Management also pointed to record sales and a significant rise in booked and open orders, positioning the company for what it called a stronger second half.
The first quarter numbers show a company growing on top but shrinking underneath. Net earnings from continuing operations fell 5.4% to $30.3 million, adjusted EBITDA dropped 9.2% to $47.8 million, and operating income declined 9.6% to $38.8 million. Gross margin slipped to 23.3% from 23.9% a year earlier, with margin compression showing up across all three business segments rather than just one.
The professional services segment, the part of the business closest to the consulting and implementation work Daymark specializes in, fell 5.1% to $68.1 million, and its margin dropped to 36.9% from 39.2%. The product segment saw its own margin decline, to 21.0% from 21.3%, as an ongoing memory chip shortage extended lead times and delayed shipments. Terms of the Daymark transaction were not disclosed, leaving no visibility into what ePlus paid or how the deal affects near-term results.

LSU Tigers football printable 2026 schedule with dates, times and TV lineup originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
LSU already is at the center of controversy in its first season under former Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin. The Tigers are fighting for the right to have players who participated in NFL training camps join the program.
Whether or not those players join the team, how the ordeal affects team chemistry will be worth watching. At LSU and most SEC schools, players who fought for their starting jobs through camp likely consider themselves NFL prospects and may not appreciate players parachuting in and taking their playing time at the last minute.

Either way, LSU has plenty of talent. Sam Leavitt, a transfer quarterback from Arizona State, is potentially one of the nation's best. He'll be throwing to tight end Trey'Dez Green, who enters the season with 46 career receptions for 534 yards and 11 touchdowns. Safety Ty Benefeld, a transfer from Boise State, is expected to anchor the defense.

Justin Rose turned a difficult stretch into a highlight reel moment during the final round of the Tour Championship. At East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, the veteran golfer conquered the par-3 ninth hole. He launched a tee shot from 208 yards that found the cup for an ace. This was the fourth hole-in-one of his Tour career. The shot happened on Sunday, August 30, 2026, during the final round. It was a massive relief for Rose, who had started the day with two early bogeys. The ace brought him back to even par for the round. According to ESPN Golf, the hole has been the second-most difficult one played at East Lake this week. The feat was so rare that it hadn't been seen on this specific hole since Xander Schauffele did it in 2019.
The statistics surrounding the ninth hole show just how hard it is to score well there. Per ESPN Golf reporting, the hole produced a scoring average of 0.077 above par for the week. That figure trailed only the opening hole in terms of difficulty. Before Rose's moment, there were only three birdies recorded on the hole all week. The rest of the field managed 88 pars, 11 bogeys, and one double-bogey. Rose, who is 46 years old, celebrated the shot by throwing both arms in the air and mimicking a basketball slam dunk. He then high-fived his playing partner, Si Woo Kim, and Kim's caddie, Manny Villegas. This shot was crucial for his standing. An intimidating uphill tee shot over a lake characterizes the hole, accounting for the severe struggles players face.
The difficulty of East Lake creates a unique challenge for the leaders and chasers alike. While Rose found a miracle, Scottie Scheffler has expressed concerns about how the course setup affects the leaderboard. The Rome News-Tribune reported that Scheffler noted the congestion on the board due to the course design. This tight grouping makes it hard to separate the field. Scheffler mentioned that the old course used to spread the field out more before it was redone.

WASHINGTON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken to Apple about changing ‌the name of "Lake Ontario" to "Lake America" and ‌the company may soon alter its maps, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said on Monday.
Trump announced on Thursday that he was changing the name of the smallest of the five Great Lakes, part of an ‌escalating trade feud with Canada that has prompted the two countries to impose reciprocal tariffs on billions of dollars in goods.
"The president reached out to Apple directly, so I'm sure that we may be seeing that change coming up soon ‌to Lake America," Burgum said in an interview on Fox Business' "Mornings with Maria" program.
Apple could not be immediately reached for comment.
The president's executive order on the name change affects the U.S. ‌Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), which sets the standards for official U.S. maps. It does not have any impact ‌on Canadian naming conventions or how the rest of the world refers to the lake.

Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud has finally discussed Enes Kanter's appearance at a home game against the Indiana Fever and his subsequent ejection and ban.
Kanter's appearance at the August 23 game between the Fever and Sky led to him being removed from the arena in the third quarter and then banned from future Sky games.
Cloud exchanged words with Kanter, who was sitting courtside, prompting Kanter to stand up and spread his arms out after successfully provoking a reaction. Now, Cloud has addressed what went down.
Cloud spoke to reporters on Saturday, August 29, sharing her first public comments on the Kanter incident since it happened.
"I won't be talking about anything that happened with an irrelevant person. What I will focus on is what actually affects women and children."

Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) shares climbed 7.9% to close at $125.08 on August 19 as gold gained more than 2% and traded near $4,516 per ounce. The gold rally coincided with Treasury bond buybacks, lower yields and a weaker dollar. Whether historically elevated bullion prices can continue outrunning higher mining costs is now the central question.
Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) realized an average gold price of $4,414 per ounce in the second quarter. However, attributable gold production declined to 1.29 million ounces from 1.48 million ounces a year earlier. That combination leaves the company with exceptional commodity-price leverage but less support from production growth.
Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) generated $2.2 billion of free cash flow, a non-GAAP measure, and ended June with $9.0 billion of cash, $13.0 billion of liquidity and $3.4 billion of non-GAAP net cash. The balance sheet gives management substantial flexibility to return capital without sacrificing investment in its mines.
Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) also had $4.3 billion remaining under its $6.0 billion share-repurchase authorization. Continued buybacks at a time of strong cash generation could amplify the per-share benefit of elevated gold prices.
Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) has considerable sensitivity to further bullion gains. Newmont's 2026 sensitivity ******* ysis estimates that every $100-per-ounce change in gold prices affects pretax revenue and costs by approximately $505 million. Second-quarter realized pricing exceeded Newmont's non-GAAP gold by-product all-in sustaining costs of $1,621 per ounce by approximately $2,793 per ounce.

Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:RARE) was up 7.5% in after-hours trading as of approximately 5:33 p.m. ET Wednesday after the FDA approved Genglycos for glycogen storage disease type Ia, or GSDIa. The one-time gene therapy is the first approved treatment designed to address the disorder's underlying cause. It will carry a U.S. list price of approximately $2.7 million per patient and is expected to become available through qualified treatment centers within 30 to 60 days.
The approval gives Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:RARE) first-mover status in a disease the company estimates affects only 1,500 to 2,500 Americans. The commercial question is whether a high-priced treatment for an ultra-rare population can produce meaningful revenue after diagnosis, reimbursement, and treatment-center constraints.
GSDIa prevents the liver from releasing glucose properly, leaving patients dependent on frequent raw-cornstarch doses to avoid potentially life-threatening hypoglycemia. In the Phase 3 GlucoGene trial, Genglycos reduced mean daily cornstarch intake by 41% at Week 48, compared with 10% for placebo, while maintaining glucose control. For Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:RARE), reducing that daily burden creates a clear argument for premium pricing.
Longer-term data also support the treatment's potential durability. At Week 96, the original-treatment group reported a 61% mean reduction from baseline, while the crossover group reported a 61% reduction from Week 48, when it began treatment. Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:RARE) will manufacture the therapy at its Bedford, Massachusetts, facility, giving the company direct control over an important part of the supply chain.
The launch will also test infrastructure that could support future gene therapies. Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:RARE) already sells rare-disease products including Crysvita, Dojolvi, Evkeeza and Mepsevii. Second-quarter revenue reached $214 million, while cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities totaled $436 million as of June 30. Genglycos therefore enters a functioning commercial organization rather than a first-time launch platform.

A new study from researchers at Mass General Brigham, Boston University, and the Concussion & CTE Foundation found that at least one in four former NFL players who died between 2016 and 2021 had chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain disease linked to repeated head trauma.
The findings, published Tuesday in The British Medical Journal, examined former NFL players from the hard-shell helmet era and suggest the prevalence of CTE among professional football players is significantly higher than in the general population.
Researchers identified 878 former NFL players who died between 2016 and 2021. Of those, 235 donated their brains for study, and 215 of the donated brains, or 91.4%, showed evidence of CTE.
Because CTE can only be diagnosed after death through brain tissue examination, researchers estimated a range for how widespread the disease may have been among all deceased former players. Their most conservative estimate found at least 24.5% of former NFL players who died during that period had CTE. The upper estimate reached 97.7%, though researchers said both extremes are unlikely and the true prevalence is likely somewhere in between.
"Community brain bank studies have shown that CTE affects less than 1% of the general population," said Dr. Daniel Daneshvar, lead author of the study and chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mass General Brigham. "To find that somewhere between 24.5% and 97.7% of NFL players from that time period had this progressive brain disease is a wake-up call for the NFL and scientific communities."

Sandra Bullock is opening up about a side of grief that many people experience but rarely discuss: mourning someone before they are gone.
Bryan Randall, her longtime partner, died on August 5, 2023, at age 57 after a private three-year battle with ALS, a progressive disease that affects the nerve cells responsible for muscle movement.
But according to Bullock, the hardest goodbye did not happen on the day he died. It began years earlier, when she was still sharing life with him while slowly losing pieces of the person she knew.
Randall was a photographer and former model who began dating Bullock in 2015. His family later confirmed that he chose to keep his ALS diagnosis private, and Bullock honored that decision.
What she has chosen to share now is not about revealing details of his illness. It is about explaining what it feels like to lose someone in stages.

On Wednesday, WDRB's Eric Crawford reported that many power conference commissioners voiced their opinions on the court rulings allowing the class of 2022 athletes another year of eligibility and the opportunity to transfer.
Among the commissioners, the SEC's Greg Sankey was firm in his stance on the matter. The commissioners of the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, and Pac-12 also all joined together against the court case in Kentucky.
"Their joint declaration was among documents filed Tuesday in Jefferson Circuit Court, where Judge Brian Edwards is considering a request from 13 athletes seeking another season of NCAA eligibility," Crawford wrote.
The biggest concern among the commissioners is that the return of the athletes would create "significant roster instability" for the schools and across the sports. This stance by these conference leaders greatly affects Kentucky because Kentucky's 5-for-5target, Mark Mitchell, is in this group of athletes fighting for another year and the ability to transfer.
In a nutshell, Sankey is doing his best to prevent Mitchell from transferring to Kentucky.

Lowe's (LOW) stock rose 2% on Wednesday after the company reported an earnings beat but gave a more cautious outlook, citing "pressure" in do-it-yourself (DIY) consumer spending.
In the second quarter, Lowe's revenue came in at $26 billion, just below the $26.1 billion the Street expected. Adjusted earnings per share, which included a $0.11 benefit from IEEPA tariff refunds, came in at $4.27, above the $4.22 the Street predicted based on Bloomberg estimates.
"Our total home strategy is working," Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison told Yahoo Finance. "This strategic framework has enabled us to drive five consecutive quarters of positive comps. … With the DIY under pressure, we still have been able to deliver."
Poor weather during the Memorial Day weekend weighed on weather-sensitive outdoor and seasonal categories, as did competitors' use of tariff refunds to put up promotions on items like grills, patio, and live goods.
Amid a tough housing backdrop that disproportionately affects DIY customers, Lowe's same-store sales grew 0.2%, below the 0.7% expected.

Several members of the Federal Reserve favored raising interest rates at the central bank's policy meeting last month, even as most supported holding rates steady, according to minutes from the meeting released Wednesday.
Those who favored raising rates noted that price pressures appeared broad-based and thought rates should be higher to restrict the economy and bring down inflation.
Three voting members of the Fed — Cleveland Fed president Beth Hammack, Dallas Fed president Lorie Logan, and Minneapolis Fed president Neel Kashkari — dissented, preferring to raise rates by a quarter percentage point. Since the meeting, other officials have spoken, including Kansas City Fed president Jeff Schmid, who also suggested that rates should be higher to rein in inflation.
Read more: How the Fed rate decision affects your bank accounts, loans, credit cards, and investments
Most participants supported holding rates steady and believed forthcoming data before the next policy meeting would offer more clarity and reduce uncertainty about the inflation outlook.

The Colts just picked up an NFL legend.
It could be a great addition or it could be a bad omen for the franchise.
Indianapolis signed Keenan Allen to a 1-year deal worth up to $8.32 million. The 6-time Pro Bowler played for the Bears last year, racking up 70 catches for 744 yards and 7 TD's.
Not bad for an NFL elder.

On August 5, 2026, AppLovin Corporation (NASDAQ:APP) announced its second-quarter results, highlighting revenue that grew by 53% to $1.92 billion. The adjusted EBITDA rose 58% to $1.61 billion at an 84% margin, while the net income reached $1.27 billion. AppLovin also confirmed that the SEC had ended its inquiry, which was initiated in October 2025, with no action. But the stock fell anyway. APP is now down about 53% year-to-date and approximately 31% in the past month. Bank of America, on August 11, cut its rating on the stock from Buy to Neutral. Beyond the federal probe clearance and the 53% growth in revenue, something has happened; something that upsets the market.
Though the revenue was positive, it came in below consensus by under 1%. This is the first guidance-midpoint miss since AppLovin's 2021 IPO – a rounding error erased almost $40 billion in market value after CEO Adam Foroughi explained it. He noted that model improvements were lighter than normal during the quarter, with the next step-up landing right after it ended. The stock's downgrade to a Neutral rating at BofA, a week past the quarterly results, came with a related angle. The firm began by noting that the risks surrounding the company's 30% year-over-year long-term revenue growth forecast have increased. BofA's ***** yst further argued that engineer-led tuning of gaming models now appears to be the main driver of quarterly growth and remains unsure whether the company can continue producing another 3–5% improvement every quarter purely by self-learning. So, the question arises – is AXON, the company's AI-driven advertising engine, really a compounding flywheel?
The answer is much of the valuation. A self-improving engine earns a premium multiple because growth arrives on its own and compounds. When such sequential growth stops, it affects the stock's premium narrative. Foroughi's explanation raises questions about how consistently AppLovin can deliver sequential growth when some gains depend on the timing of engineer-led model upgrades. It shows how heavily a quarter relies on when a discrete upgrade lands — the sensitivity of the tiny less-than-1% miss. Repricing is based on the durability of the growth, rather than on the quarter's performance.
AppLovin has grown 53% at an 84% margin and bought back $551 million of stock in the quarter. The company has also guided third-quarter revenue to $2.06–$2.09 billion and is pushing AXON into e-commerce. After the collapse it trades near 22 to 26 times forward earnings. Compared to its former multiple, this is only a fraction. Short interest remains moderately low at 4.13%. The number of hedge funds holding the stock has declined from 108 in Q4 2025 to 91 in Q1 2026, according to the Insider Monkey database. Despite the fall, the number indicates a significant institutional interest in the stock.

Cleveland Federal Reserve president Beth Hammack said Monday she anticipates more than one interest rate hike will be required to rein in what she calls broadening inflation.
"I would say in general, one 25 basis point move probably doesn't do a whole lot for the economy," Hammack told Yahoo Finance in an interview. "So it's probably some number of [movements]. But I don't want to prejudge what that number is going to be."
She added, "I don't know exactly where we will end."
Hammack dissented at the Fed's July policy meeting when the Federal Open Market Committee held interest rates steady, preferring to have raised rates by a quarter percentage point.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea on Wednesday performed its second ballistic missile test in less than a week, its neighbors said, a likely protest of the upcoming South Korea-U.S. military drills that North Korea views as an invasion rehearsal.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said a ballistic missile fired from the North's eastern coastal Wonsan area around 6 a.m. flew more than 700 kilometers (435 miles). The **** anese Defense Ministry also detected the launch, saying the weapon landed in waters outside its exclusive economic zone, between the Korean Peninsula and **** an.
The launches, within days of each other, were seen as part of North Korea's extended run of weapons tests as the country has refused to return to talks with the U.S. and South Korea for years. Experts say North Korea often uses its rivals' military training as a pretext to boost its own testing activities.
South Korea's military said it remains ready to repel any provocation by Pyongyang in cooperation with the United States. South Korea's national security council called North Korean ballistic missile launches "acts of provocation" and urged the North to halt them immediately.
Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi told reporters that **** an strongly protested the North Korean launch through their embassies in Beijing. "It's a serious problem that affects the safety of the **** anese people," he said.

Emily Martinez was so disappointed in her last match.
The Holland boxer wasn't close to her best and lost a fight in town that all of her family and friends saw.
"I felt like my world fell apart," Martinez said.
The Michigan Golden Gloves champion vowed never to let that happen again.
Not the losing part, but putting so much weight on winning and losing that it affects other aspects of her life.

Sands Capital, an investment management company, released its "Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund" Q2 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, global equities rebounded sharply, with the MSCI ACWI posting its strongest quarterly gain since 2020, supported by broad market strength, easing geopolitical tensions, and continued enthusiasm for AI infrastructure. Information technology led the advance, with semiconductor and hardware companies accounting for most of the index's rise. The fund returned 26.9% (net) in the second quarter of 2026. The portfolio benefited from strong gains across memory, software infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other AI-related holdings, although its concentrated exposure to mega-cap chip designers and manufacturers weighed on relative performance as leadership broadened into CPUs, networking, and memory. Vertical software, internet, and financial holdings were modest detractors amid macro concerns and uncertainty over AI disruption. The fund remains focused on critical AI bottlenecks, including compute, memory, manufacturing, networking, and power, while retaining selected businesses that may use AI to strengthen their competitive positions. You can check the fund's top five holdings to learn more about its leading investment ideas for the year.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund highlighted Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU). Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) is a leading digital banking platform, which detracted from the fund's performance this quarter. On August 7, 2026, Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) closed at $13.84 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $66.85 billion. Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) posted a one-month return of 1.24%, while its shares gained 16.11% over the past 52 weeks.
Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund stated the following regarding Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) operates Nubank, a digital financial services platform serving more than 100 million customers in Latin America. First-quarter 2026 revenue growth was in line with expectations, but higher-than-expected provisions weighed on gross profit and raised investor concerns about household debt and credit quality. We are less concerned, as Brazil's low unemployment and real wage growth are more relevant, in our view, to future credit losses than household debt service ratios. We also believe Brazilian Central Bank data may overstate loan delinquencies because of an accounting change that affects how long banks can keep nonperforming loans on their books before recognizing a write-off. Importantly, after a detailed inspection of the bank's balance sheet and interaction with the management, we feel comfortable about Nu's prospects of generating healthy risk-adjusted net interest income in the coming quarters. ****** et quality concerns may take time to resolve, but Nu continues to execute against

The Minnesota Vikings' most pressing question of 2026 training camp has a front-runner: Kyler Murray. On the latest episode of The Real Forno Show — a Vikings 1st & SKOL production on the Bleav Network — host Tyler Forness and producer Dave Stefano break down the quarterback competition between Murray and J.J. McCarthy, roster bubble battles, offensive line questions, and some rising stars worth watching before the preseason opener against the New York Giants.
The central argument from Forness is not about flashy stats — it's about processing. "The processing of both quarterbacks is going to be the differentiator in this quarterback competition," Forness said. While McCarthy has had flashes, Forness sees a fundamental inconsistency: "McCarthy is not doing enough to show that he has improved significantly from, quite frankly, a really poor overall 2025 season." ESPN's Dan Graziano reportedly confirmed Murray is the "clubhouse leader," and Forness agrees — but he frames the ceiling realistically: "If whoever starts is QB 16, this team could be a Super Bowl threat."
QB Competition: Murray leads, per ESPN's Dan Graziano. Forness argues McCarthy's processing remains at a sub-starter level despite some better moments in recent practices.
Kevin O'Connell's telling quote: "There have been some new layers to our offense… it might be a small detail, but it's important and it affects the visual outcome of the play." Forness believes this context explains many of Murray's surface-level miscues.
Tai Felton & Ivan Pace Jr.: Forness admits he was wrong on Felton: "He deserves a lot of credit for that." Pace's improved lateral coverage and multiple PBUs have also turned heads.
