A fan favorite (as most backup QBs are), with the Dallas Cowboys, will be back in the building this season after being waived by the team earlier this week.
Quarterback Joe Milton was waived by the team when they decided to claim running back Emari Demercado and named Sam Howell as the backup to Dak Prescott. Since then, Dallas decided to bring Milton back and sign him to the practice squad. This means Cowboys fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that he wasn't lost. According to reports, Milton may have requested the release to test the waters of teams needing a QB2.
Adam Schefter broke the news yesterday afternoon on (X).
Cowboys are re-signing QB Joe Milton to their practice squad.
While testing the waters of free agency, Milton drew interest from other teams but ultimately wanted to return to the Cowboys.
