Falling prices, fluctuating availability and a lack of clarity. With one week to go until the 2026 World Cup kicks off, many questions remain unanswered about match tickets.
Fifa promised the event would be sold out, but there are thousands of tickets available for sale across several platforms.
BBC Sport has found tickets for matches involving the smaller nations are now available well below face value - across Fifa's own resale site and secondary marketplaces.
World football's governing body has itself been accused of dumping inventory it now cannot sell on SeatGeek.
So just how 'sold out' are the matches? Will we see a repeat of last summer's Club World Cup when tickets were sold off at knock-down prices to fill stadiums?

In a somewhat shocking report, Bayern Munich has been linked to Aston Villa attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers — and it is not as if this report came from Don Balon or anything. It is from a legitimate source, The Athletic:
Bayern have been discussed as a possible destination for Morgan Rogers for several months. Vincent Kompany admires the player but nothing concrete has yet developed.
This is odd to say the least. Rogers has been very closely linked to ****** nal, but would Bayern Munich really be ready to pay big for another attacking midfielder?
Right now, the Bavarians has been linked closely to PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder Ismael Saibari, which begs the question — why an attacking midfielder? Bayern Munich already has Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, and Lennart Karl among options at the position.
Is Bayern Munich worried about Musiala’s future or something? Would Rogers or Saibari be able to play another position? Is the club toying with a move to wing for Musiala?

Tuesday was a busy day for Virginia Tech. Things got started on Tuesday morning when three-star cornerback Austin Barrett announced his commitment to the Hokies.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Barrett plays high school football at Paramus Catholic in Paramus, New Jersey. Barrett is considered the No. 36 cornerback in the nation, per 247Sports, and the No. 12 overall player in New Jersey.
Barrett chose the Hokies over Virginia, West Virginia and others.
“I am choosing Virginia Tech because they truly made me understand what the quote ‘this is home’ feels like,” Barrett told Evan Watkins of 247Sports. “I love my relationship with the coaches, and I believe they are going to rebuild this program and do something amazing. I want to be a part and help this program rebuild to where it was years ago.”
The day was just getting started.
