On September 9, 2026, Reuters reported that Stellantis N.V. (NYSE:STLA) is recalling 201,976 Jeep vehicles in the U.S., including certain Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models. It happened after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found a software error that can prevent the tire-pressure monitoring system from detecting low tire pressure or alerting the driver, raising crash risk.
Dealers will update the affected radio-frequency hub software free of charge. The recall is the latest in a year that has already included a 1.5-million-vehicle Ram seat-belt recall, a 955,000-vehicle camera-glitch recall in August, and more than 1 million Wranglers and Gladiators recalled in June for fire risk.
The recall should carry a relatively limited direct financial burden because Stellantis N.V. (NYSE:STLA) can fix the defect with a software update. The recall covers 201,976 Jeep vehicles, but Stellantis does not need to replace a physical component. A software-based remedy should reduce parts and labor costs and allow dealers to complete the repair relatively quickly, limiting the recall's immediate impact on earnings and cash flow.
Stellantis has already begun rebuilding its financial performance, giving investors a stronger foundation to absorb another recall. Second-quarter net profit reached €293 million compared with a €1.87 billion loss a year earlier. Revenue surged 13% to €43.5 billion. The business also generated €1 billion in industrial free cash flow during the quarter, showing real improvement as CEO Antonio Filosa executes his turnaround plan.
Strong North American demand shows the recall has not yet undermined demand for Stellantis' key Jeep and Ram products. Second-quarter North American shipments increased 38% to 445,000 vehicles. It was backed up by refreshed models, including the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee and the Ram 1500. So the company enters this recall with improving volumes and strong demand for several of the brands that matter most to its North American turnaround.

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A shooting at a high school in the southern Philippines on Friday left two 14-year-old students and the teenage gunman dead and wounded at least eight people, local government and police officials said.
The shooting at Banga National High School in the South Cotabato town of Banga is under investigation, the Philippine National Police said in a statement. Police officers secured the campus and coordinated with school officials and medical responders, the statement said.
South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo said the two students killed were a boy and a girl, both 14. He said the gunman also shot himself and died.
Banga Mayor Albert Palencia told DZBB radio that the gunman hit 10 students in the classroom next to his, two of whom died while eight were wounded. A person who was hyperventilating was also brought to a hospital, according to the governor.
Tamayo said the gunman's best friend told officials that the teenager was a member of an online "true crimes community." Authorities were investigating the account and whether it had any connection to the shooting, he said.

“For a decade, I have specialized in translating complex, fast-evolving medical information on various media platforms into content that millions of Americans can understand and use, including during the uncertainty of the global pandemic,” Saphier, a radiologist and Fox News contributor, said in Wednesday’s hearing.
“I realized then how badly this country needs public health communication that is straightforward and grounded in the best evidence available,” she said. “My years of communicating directly with the public have prepared me to explain complex topics in a way that they can understand.”
But experts say that social media has changed how people receive health information, with increasingly blurred lines as to who is considered to have authority and expertise – and that bringing an influencer into the role of surgeon general presents both opportunities and challenges.

In an interview on Philadelphia's 94 WIP radio, which took place very shortly after the IR news landed, ******* erson offered a blunt ******* sment of his play in the Eagles' narrow 24-22 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
"Honestly, (to) address the elephant in the room, I played like sh** yesterday," ******* erson said. "I was a complete liability yesterday and, again, that was my fault … I shouldn't be out there until I feel healthy."
Dickerson said that he got "rolled up on" in practice last month during training camp, but continued to push through the injury. Imaging on Monday confirmed that he had a bone bruise in his right knee.

Zane Smith escaped with no serious injuries following a violent crash in Sunday's Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway. The driver of the No. 38 suffered a brake failure in the closing laps of Stage 2, causing him to spin out and slam driver's side first into the outside retaining wall in turn 1.
As Smith climbed from his car, it was evident he was in pain. The 27-year-old was slow to get out of his battered Front Row Motorsports Ford and was leaning on two NASCAR safety workers as they helped him into the ambulance to take him to the infield care center.
Thankfully, Smith took to social media on Monday with a positive update on his condition.
Immediately after Smith careened with the outside wall following the brake failure, his spotter, Ryan Blanchard, tried to summon his driver over the radio to check on his condition.
"We lost brakes here. Let me know if you're OK. Really big hit. Talk to me when you can, please. Let me know if you're OK," he said.

The Seattle Seahawks are 1-0, so it's time to start scouting their next opponent.
The Arizona Cardinals shocked the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 with a 26-14 win in which Mike LaFleur became the franchise's first non-interim head coach to win their first game in charge. The matchup was projected as one of the opening week's most lopsided in favor of Jim Harbaugh and Los Angeles, who were coming off an 11-6 record in 2025. Los Angeles made the playoffs and lost to the eventual AFC champion New England Patriots in the Wild Card round, albeit without either of their starting offensive tackles—Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt—who were both expected to boost the offense upon their return this season. Arizona's defense had other ideas, and became one of the biggest surprises of any unit across Week 1's Sunday slate, while their offense simply looked more talented and outplayed LA with complementary football. That's what the Seahawks will be looking for in Week 2.
The Cardinals defense played with an energy that stifled Justin Herbert and new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, who only held the ball for 51 plays and 22:29. Arizona ran 21 more plays and had the ball for 15:02 more of the game (more than an entire quarter?!) When watching this game, the attitude from Arizona's defense seemed to disregard the stature of its opponent. LaFleur retained defensive coordinator Nick Rallis, who Phoenix-based sports radio host John Gambadoro credits for helping set the temperature.
It's easy to see Rallis' results. The intensity of the defense that showed up on tape is just as evident on paper. His Cardinals defense ranks second to last in blitz rate so far this season, yet they held McDaniel and Herbert to a measly 2-for-8 on third downs and 0-for-3 on fourth downs. Their front seven was far more formidable than the Chargers on the day, producing 17 pressures on 55 snaps while LA could only muster 12 on 75 opportunities. On the flipside, the Cardinals' offensive line has been projected as their downfall this season. The Seahawks have a clear opportunity to establish their presence as a physically dominant team if they kill the Cardinals momentum. This will be the game for elite run blockers like AJ Barner and run stoppers like Uchenna Nwosu to put the new age film community on watch.
Offensive talent is far from the problem in Arizona. Trey McBride is the best tight end in football. They've got two running backs in Jeremiyah Love and Tyler Allgeier who can both be a problem for any team. Marvin Harrison Jr. was a matchup nightmare against the Seahawks last season. In Week 3, he had one of the best battles against Devon Witherspoon and Riq Woolen of any wide receiver all year. When partnered with a seasoned veteran quarterback with a quick release, they were able to make life easy on their OL. LeBron James has spent more than two decades setting records that once looked out of reach. Yet former NBA center Olden Polynice believes one of the game's rare statistical feats should have belonged to James long before Russell Westbrook made it his own.
Polynice is not questioning James' greatness. His argument is almost the opposite. He believes James had so much size and all-around ability that failing to post a full-season triple-double stands out as a strange omission from an otherwise historic career.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Polynice said James should have reached the milestone before Westbrook ever did. He pointed to James' unusual combination of strength, skill and playmaking as the reason.

"I love LeBron. I really do. I think he's one of the greatest ever. Ever," Polynice said. "What he's doing right now we've never seen before. And I won't even get into the off the court. He's by himself over there."

On the latest episode of BBC Radio Leeds' Don't Go To Bed Just Yet, reporter and commentator Adam Pope was alongside Jonny Buchan and Kaiser Chiefs' bassist Simon Rix to discuss his recent chat with the Whites managing director Robbie Evans.
Pope said: "He [Evans] spoke for the best part of an hour to the local press. The mood was really good, as you'd expect because they'd instigated this sit-down on the back of the window, so I think it's fair to say the mood was 'look, we're on the back of a really good window'.
"It was a good window and a good deadline day. That was the context in which this was done."
Pope said one of the key headlines was the discussion around Daniel Farke's contract situation, on which Rix added: "I think it'd be naive to think there have never been any negotiations.
"I've said that I didn't think it was a worry that it hasn't been signed, even with the year left. I don't think that's a problem."

LeBron James has faced criticism throughout his basketball career. On Friday, former NBA lottery pick Olden Polynice took aim at LBJ for falling short of a certain statistical feat.
Appearing on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Polynice (who was drafted eighth overall by the Chicago Bulls in 1987) gave James his props but proceeded to chastise the 22-time NBA All-Star.
"I love LeBron. I really do. I think he's one of the greatest ever… But, at the same time, I can still be critical of him on some things. One in particular: I thought LeBron should have averaged a triple-double way before Russell Westbrook. That's my personal opinion."
Polynice, who transitioned to coaching after playing 15 seasons in the NBA, went on to make an explosive claim about LBJ's career.
"Believe it or not, this is going to be the weirdest thing ever uttered. I believe LeBron James underachieved."
