Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly at odds over work, according to a royal insider. One of them has been busy on the charity circuit and engagements in London and New York, while the other has been enjoying a slower pace. Now, a royal insider says the contrast has become a sore point, and money could be the factor.
Since returning to the UK, Prince Harry has been out and about. Meghan Markle's schedule, by comparison, sounds far gentler. New Idea reports that Markle's days are a mix of business calls for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, going to Pilates or yoga with friends, and school runs for Archie and Lilibet.
A royal insider speaking to the outlet claims Harry would like that to change. "Harry wants Meghan to work," the source says. They add that "while he was at that WellChild event and being offered radio gigs for Meghan, she was having a jolly in a pub with Ellen and Portia."
Money appears to be at the heart of it, as the insider says the couple's funds are shrinking. Keeping their Montecito home is estimated to cost about $1 million. Meghan is said to want it as a safety net if life in the UK does not work out.
Meanwhile, her acting plans have hit obstacles too. In August, a rumor spread that she was in talks with Guy Ritchie's team regarding a role in "The Gentlemen," which streams on Netflix. Series star Theo James dismissed these rumors soon after.
