Wide receiver Hollywood Brown was active for Sunday's game, but the veteran never got on the field during the Eagles' 24-22 win over the Commanders.
DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks started for the Eagles with first-round pick Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper also seeing time on offense. At a Monday press conference, head coach Nick Sirianni was asked about how Brown fits into the team's plans.
"So, with yesterday, you know, we have our rotations that we're doing, you know, Hollywood could obviously help us," Sirianni said, via Brooks Kubena of TheAthletic.com. "We obviously want to get him into the football game because his speed is real. It just didn't work out that way yesterday. There are games like that. There are games where you get shut out on catches. Unfortunately, there are games, they get shut out on reps. But we know that Hollywood can help us win football games, and his speed is real, and, quite frankly, just from my end, we want to get him into the football game, right? And so, you know, we'll make a better effort to do that next time, 'cause I know the playmaking ability that he can bring with his speed. But was pleased with how the wideouts played as a whole. Of course, there were things that you want back. They made a lot of plays down the field — and with different things with their job description. But, you know, I do want to see him in that football game and getting reps and contributing to this football team."
The Eagles' offense looked like a work in progress for considerable portions of Sunday's game, which was their first with offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Quarterback Jalen Hurts engineered enough big plays to overcome the rough spots and we'll see if Brown fits into the Week 2 plan to create more of them.

Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) recently issued its second guidance cut of the year, and investors responded immediately by sending shares down roughly 18%. That selloff came despite an EPS beat, but the headline result was heavily supported by a tariff refund rather than underlying business strength. Brand sentiment, traffic, and leggings sales are all weakening across the company's two largest markets. The key issue for investors is no longer whether the quarter was weak, but whether the stock's low valuation and new CEO can provide the catalyst for a meaningful recovery.

First-half operating cash flow climbed to $589 million, more than double the prior year. Inventory per unit also declined roughly 7% year over year, reducing the risk of a margin-damaging clearance event. Meanwhile, shares have fallen over 50% year-to-date and now trade at a historically depressed valuation, potentially creating an out-of-favor-setup for investors. At the same time, management continued its buyback program, repurchasing $330 million worth of shares during the quarter.
The weakness in traffic and leggings sales cannot be ignored, and both remain serious concerns. However, the company has a debt-free balance sheet, stronger cash generation, and a valuation that already reflects much of the recent bad news. That gives Lululemon room to prove that its current struggles are mainly execution-related rather than signs of a structural decline.

Britain Covey will be available to handle punt-return duties when the Philadelphia Eagles open their season against the Washington Commanders. Philadelphia elevated Covey from the practice squad Saturday after placing rookie tight end Eli Stowers on injured reserve. The standard elevation allows Covey to play Sunday before reverting to the practice squad after the game.

Being a fantasy manager often means having to make difficult roster decisions, but I aim to take some of the guesswork out of it with my Start 'Em and Sit 'Em column for every position. It goes without saying that I won't include obvious calls like "start Trey McBride" or "sit Tommy DeVito." Instead, I search for players that could be perceived as fringe that could propel your lineups for weekly wins.

Kyle Pitts Sr. @ PIT (Projected FPTS - 9.4): Despite the news of Cooper Rush likely being named the Week One starter, I am still high on Pitts. He finished last season as one of the top fantasy tight ends with Kirk Cousins under center. Besides, Atlanta doesn't really have many options for pass catchers after Bijan Robinson and Drake London, and new head coach Kevin Stefanski typically uses his tight ends. Pittsburgh is also a favorable matchup, allowing 11 touchdowns and the third-most points to the position last season.
Dallas Goedert vs. WSH (Projected FPTS - 8.5): Goedert finished last season with a career-high 11 touchdowns. While it's easy to ****** ume some regression, the Eagles traded A.J. Brown, and rookie wideout Makai Lemon is coming off a hamstring injury. Philly's passing attack will likely feature DeVonta Smith and Goedert for at least the early part of the season. He will take on a Commanders team that allowed 12 touchdowns the season before (tied for the second-most). Goedert should expect to see a fair share of targets, making him worth putting in your lineup.

For the quarter ending 2 August 2026, the company reported lower than expected revenue at $2.4bn, down 4% from $2.53bn in the previous year.
This was driven by an 8% decline in the Americas and China mainland, where revenue grew 4%. International net revenue increased 4%.
Comparable sales declined by 9% overall during the quarter. In the Americas, comparable sales fell by 12%, while international comparable sales recorded a 3% decrease.

US stocks edged lower on Friday morning as Treasury yields rose and investors ramped up bets of a Federal Reserve rate hike following a surprisingly strong August jobs report.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) fell 0.3%, and the S&P 500 (^GSPC) declined by 0.1% after the two benchmark indexes posted their best day in nearly a month. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) traded near the flat line.
All eyes were on the August payrolls report, which showed 162,000 jobs added in the previous month, blowing past economists' expectations of 55,000 jobs added. That offered a strong countersignal to the economic data released this week, which suggested the labor market remained stuck in a pattern of sluggish but stable growth.
The question on Wall Street was whether August's strong jobs number would be enough to tilt the Fed toward hiking interest rates. Following the hot jobs report, traders increased their bets of a Fed rate hike in September to roughly 60% odds, according to CME Group.

For another year, there is a lot of excitement surrounding another Lincoln Riley offense. USC has some returning players who should be in for big seasons, including starting quarterback Jayden Maiava. However, Maiava will also have to bring young playmakers up to speed to help this offense be even more explosive.
Here are my X-factors for the Trojans this season on offense:
All eyes will be on Jayden Maiava. How successful can he make this offense this season? Maiava does not have Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane anymore, two guys he could just throw the football to in any coverage. This season, it will be more on Maiava to get the most out of a younger supporting cast. With all the buzz surrounding Maiava, it appears he is more than ready to take on that challenge. While his supporting cast may not be as experienced, it is still a deep and super talented group. Many different, versatile skill sets are on this year's offense. He has an exceptional running back tandem, coupled with an experienced offensive line. It is only going to get better for Maiava. I believe last season was just the start, and he will be in for a big year.
Waymond Jordan is returning from injury, but it looks like he hasn't lost a step. He has had a great camp, and he is fully healthy. Jordan will be sharing the workload with King Miller, but I believe when it comes down to finishing drives, Jordan will be the back they look to. Jordan is a bruising and physical back, so when it is time to put the ball in the end zone, that is where Jordan will specialize. I think Jordan will post double-digit touchdowns and become a very pivotal ****** et for the Trojans offense.
The Trojans do not have Makai Lemon anymore, but that does not mean they do not have a good replacement for Lemon's impact. Tanook Hines showed shades of being that type of weapon last season in the bowl game vs TCU. 6 catches for 163 yards gave great confidence that he can step up and be the number 1 target for Jayden Maiava. Maiava and Hines already have a connection, and that will be seen all season long. I think Hines will be a big reason for Jayden Maiava having a big year and the Trojans' offense to be explosive again.

On paper, before the 2026 college football season kicks off, the Oregon Ducks have the best offense in the Big Ten, better than USC, and maybe the whole sport. Dante Moore is primed to be the first quarterback taken in the upcoming NFL draft, and he has an embarrassment of riches to throw the ball to. The Oregon Ducks' receiver room is completely stacked with versatile weapons in Dakorien Moore, Evan Stewart, and Jeremiah McClellan. The Ducks also have two tight ends who can be better than last year's first-round draft pick, Kenyon Sadiq.
To complement that, Oregon has an elite run game once again. That sounds promising, and Oregon will be headed for offensive dominance. However, the USC Trojans have both a potential elite passing attack and run game.

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles' offense provided an accurate summary of their summer during Tuesday night's open practice at Lincoln Financial Field. There were explosive plays, creative formations and impressive touchdown throws. There were also protection problems, missed opportunities and two interceptions returned toward the end zone by Riq Woolen.
The overall performance was uneven. The encouraging part was that the offense showed how difficult it could become to defend when its top skill players are healthy.
Hurts connected with Smith on a deep out route during the opening move-the-ball period. He found Smith again while rolling outside the pocket on a play-action concept. Smith later made one of the night's best catches, securing a deep crossing route in tight coverage against Quinyon Mitchell before accelerating toward the end zone. The chemistry was not perfect. Hurts underthrew Smith on a deep post that could have become a touchdown. Mitchell recovered to break up the pass. Smith also dropped a shallow crossing route on third-and-6 despite having enough **** e to extend the possession.
Their strongest connection may have come later when Smith caught a dig route against Woolen. The cornerback attempted to undercut the route, but Smith adjusted his angle, secured the pass and turned upfield for what could have become a touchdown in a live game.
