Sunday's 18-16 home loss to the Cardinals dropped the Rams to 2-4 and continued a start that has many people scratching their heads given how high the hopes were for the team heading into the season.
Everyone ******* ociated with the team is fielding questions about why things have gone so poorly, including running back Kyren Williams. Williams was asked about why he thinks the offense has been inconsistent from drive to drive over the first six weeks and he pointed to his role in his answer.
"I can't tell you, bro," Williams said, via Adam Grosbard of the Orange County Register. "Probably because I'm not out there."
Williams played 70 percent of the snaps in the first five games and he outsnapped Blake Corum 42-16 on Sunday while fielding 13 touches to 11 for Corum. Williams' workload is in line with last season, but down from its peak in 2024 and he's seeing fewer carries than at any point since he became a starter. He was asked if he'd like to see that change in the coming weeks.
"I can't really call that. It's not on me," Williams said. "But I just think no matter what, we gotta continue to have the energy. You gotta continue to, when plays are made, be excited, be happy so we uplift not only the offense but the defense and the special teams and just being able to have that camaraderie to where we're playing off of each other and I think that's what is going to allow us to be where we want to be."

Travis Hunter made himself known on both ends of the field during the Jacksonville Jaguars' game against the Houston Texans.
Although the Jaguars suffered a 34-31 loss against the Texans, Hunter showed why he is capable of playing on offence and defence in the NFL, as he had a receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter and on the very next defensive possession, the 23-year-old intercepted a pass by C.J. Stroud.
Hunter finished the game with four receptions for 59 yards and 1 TD, while on the defensive end, he had three tackles and the crucial interception that gave the Jaguars hope to win the game.
They entered the fourth quarter down by 10, but with Hunter's two big plays, the Jags managed to tie the score. In the end, the Texans took the victory with the help of a 49-yard field-goal from Ka'imi Fairbairn on the final possession.
This was the Jaguars' second loss of the season, but fans were excited to see the two-way star Travis Hunter shine for the team.

Gilberto Mora may have fuelled transfer speculation over a prospective move to Liverpool with his reaction to one supporter over the weekend.
Earlier this month, one Latin American reporter claimed that the Reds have already made an offer for the Mexican wonderkid, understood to be in the region of £38m.
The playmaker – who turned 18 last week – was a breakthrough star at the World Cup over the summer and has already made 75 senior appearances between club (Tijuana) and country.
Mora is currently sidelined with injury but was seen making his way back to the dressing room along with his teammates after their 0-0 draw against Puebla on Saturday.
When one spectator brandishing an LFC shirt excitedly shouted 'Liverpool' at the teenage playmaker, he replied with a thumbs-up gesture, sending the supporter into hysterics.

The Green Bay Packers' defense hasn't had Micah Parsons on the field this season. However, it found another way to shut the door on Sunday night. The Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 23-13 at Lambeau Field, holding Dak Prescott to 34-of-54 passing for 258 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Notably, it was the third straight game Green Bay has held an opponent to 14 points or fewer, a feat that prompted former Packers QB Kurt Benkert to highlight Green Bay's defense on X.
Benkert focused on how the Packers were doing great teamwork on defense.
He wrote that seeing the defense "schematically causing problems for high-powered offenses" has him "really excited for what December and January football can look like for them."
The Packers' defense streak started with a 17-14 win at Tampa Bay on Oct. 4 against Jalon Daniels. Next came a 31-7 win over Chicago and quarterbacks Case Keenum and Tyson Bagent on Oct. 11, when Green Bay forced five turnovers and Xavier McKinney picked off two passes. On Sunday, Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens came to town.

Panthers' Bryce Young joins list of Hall of Famers with feat not seen since Peyton Manning, Drew Brees appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has joined elite company by reaching a milestone last matched by Peyton Manning and Drew Brees in 2013. Panthers fans are excited by this achievement.
Pro Football Focus (PFF) shared that Young has thrown for at least 280 yards and one touchdown in each of the Panthers' first five games. That is a remarkable feat for a young quarterback. Only three future Hall of Famers have done this in the past 15 years.
PFF shared the news on X, listing Young with Aaron Rodgers, Brees, and Manning as the only quarterbacks to reach this mark since 2011. This underscores how rare the accomplishment is.

The stock market has its dips, but historically, Apple (APPL) stock has done well for investors. As of Oct. 1, it traded for $330.32 — a nearly 30% yearly increase, according to Yahoo Finance. Take it back further to 2016, and the stock has gone up by a little over 1,063%.
As a new investor, you might be thinking Apple stock is the perfect buy. However, as with any other investment, it's not without risk. These are some of the most common mistakes investors make when buying stocks, according to financial advisors Ed Peagler and Xintian **** .
As per J.P. Morgan, the general advice when it comes to stocks is to put no more than 10% to 20% of your total portfolio in one stock. Of course, when you see the numbers rising on a particular stock, it's easy to get excited and make investment choices based on that.
This can be a mistake, though.
"Apple is a spectacular company that most people already know and love. It's no surprise, then, that many individuals end up with too large a position in their overall portfolio. And they don't feel like they have a high concentration stock because it's Apple. They trust it," said Xintian **** , CPA, senior tax manager at Alexander Accountants, CPAs. "But high concentration is high concentration. And it amplifies the risk of an unsafe, underestimated stock."

Jessica Biel revealed that her 11-year-old son, Silas, is interested in both acting and music, just like his mom and dad, Justin Timberlake. The actress opened up about her family while attending the "Matchbox: The Movie" premiere in New York City on October 5.
Jessica Biel shares Silas has a small part in 'Matchbox' and is also a DJ. While speaking with E! News, Biel explained that Silas appears briefly at the very end of the Apple TV film, which premieres October 9. She called the cameo "really cute."
The interviewer asked whether her sons are following in her footsteps or are more musically inclined like Timberlake. Biel said Silas is "a little bit of both." "He's a DJ, so he's kind of interested in both lanes," she added. She shared that she and her husband are "letting him take his time and see what happens and what he really gets interested in."
Biel shares Silas and his younger brother, Phineas, with Timberlake. She said her sons visited the set and were excited to meet Cena, whom they consider a hero. Describing them as "so funny," Biel said their "brains implode" whenever they visit a set with "cool action sequences" and fight scenes.
Biel recalled that Phineas seemed to wonder, "Is this real? Is this not real?" after co-actor John Cena was punched and fell to the ground. She admitted she does not know what they are thinking, calling it "just a lot of confusion." Silas is more like, "I know what this is," she said, while Phineas is still wondering what is happening.

It's easy for investors to get excited about the opportunity, but many might not be aware of the potential market size or growth prospects. The global robotaxi market is projected to reach about $415 billion by 2035, with the U.S. accounting for a roughly $48 billion slice of that pie. The fleet of U.S. commercial autonomous vehicles (AVs) is projected to expand from only about 4,000 vehicles currently to around 35,000 by 2030 -- or about 8% of the ride-sharing market.
A year ago this month, Bank of America projected that the long-term U.S. total addressable market (TAM) for AV ride-hailing is a trillion-dollar opportunity as companies such as May Mobility aim to replace the drivers that take roughly 70% of every fare. It's also important for investors to realize how early in the game this is: Alphabet's Waymo, with an estimated $350 million in annualized revenue, would represent only about 0.5% of U.S. ride-hailing bookings.

Texas took a massive victory over Ohio State on Saturday. They were down 20 points heading into the fourth quarter, but Arch Manning led Texas to the comeback, putting up 21 points in the fourth quarter. After the game, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian was too excited to celebrate to even talk to Holly Rowe in the postgame interview.
The internet had its way with the interaction between Rowe and Sarkisian after the game. The initial interaction between Rowe and Sarkisian was very brief, with Sark throwing up the hook 'em horns sign and leaving quickly.
Then AI had its way, making a video of Sark slapping Rowe instead of just walking away. Now, Arch Manning is talking about the AI edits, per Evan Vieth of Inside Texas.
"I've seen a few AI edits of stuff, but that's about it. I saw the AI edit of Sark's interview. You all seen that one? That's a good one. Of him slapping Holly Rowe? Yeah, it's hilarious," Manning said.
