The Banana Ball Championship League will bring its 2027 World Tour to five New York locations, including Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, where the Savannah Bananas will play two games.
The organization announced the schedule for its 2027 tour on Thursday, Oct. 15, during the Banana Ball City Selection Show. The tour will span 23 Major League Baseball stadiums, 10 football stadiums and 33 minor league baseball stadiums.

"Rochester has been clamoring for the opportunity to see the outstanding Banana Ball performers, and we have worked for some time to bring them to ESL Ballpark," Rochester Red Wings President, CEO and COO Naomi Silver said. "We are excited to make this happen and know it will be a huge hit for all."
Here's what to know about the 2027 tour's New York stops, which teams will play at each venue and how to enter the ticket lottery.

Freight fraud risks and carrier vetting are the focus as Highway Chief Commercial Officer Michael Caney joins FreightWaves Today. He breaks down what brokers, carriers and shippers need to watch right now when onboarding and monitoring capacity. If you work fraud prevention, carrier compliance or network procurement, this conversation gets straight to the operational takeaway without the fluff.#FreightFraud #CarrierVetting #SupplyChain
Carrier-vetting platform Highway is putting its balance sheet behind its fraud-detection product: if a broker moves freight using Highway's guarantee standard and loses a load, Highway writes a check for $100,000. The company's chief commercial officer said the program covers the vast majority of carrier capacity in North America — and has paid out only once across roughly one million loads.
Of the approximately 175,000 carriers that move freight for freight brokers, Highway says more than 82% qualify for the guarantee tier. "What I would tell you is the industry keeps trying to solve for the bottom 18% of the market," the CCO said. "And what we're saying is if you will just move your freight to this cohort of carriers, which is the majority of capacity in North America, not only will you be fine, but Highway will stand behind it with a performance guarantee."
"The average cargo theft is not the $100,000, it's $250,000. This idea that a motor carrier can just show up and say, hey man, I'm gonna need this cargo, it's $250 grand, I'm good for it, is bananas."
The single payout to date stemmed from an identity-design flaw tied to California's non-domiciled limited-term licensing rules. A fraudulent carrier obtained a new license through California's process, resubmitted in Highway's system, and the alert dropped off before the bug was caught and fixed — costing Highway $100,000. The CCO described theft events as a "Swiss cheese" of compounding decisions rather than a single failure point, and said Highway continuously monitors for ownership changes, inbox compromises, and cyber anomalies within the guarantee framework.

The Dodgers needed a get-right game, and apparently all they needed to do was come to Coors Field.
After going 5-11 in their last 16 games, being swept by the Red Sox and Cubs, while also dropping series to the Diamondbacks and Brewers, the Dodgers looked their regular selves on Monday, hitting three homers, while Blake Snell held the Rockies to two hits and one run in six innings on the way to a 11-5 blowout.
To summarize the vibe of the night, through eight innings, the Rockies had as many hits — two — as fielding errors and the best part of the broadcast was the footage from the Savannah Bananas takeover of Coors Field over the weekend.
At least the Rockies tried to come back, putting up a three-run rally in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn't nearly enough.
It only took nine pitches for Tomoyuki Sugano (菅野 智之) to retire the mighty top of the Dodgers lineup — Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Andy Pages — on three ground ***** in the first.

CHICAGO (AP) — It started as a limited promotion for a specialty theme night. Then the Chicago White Sox heard from their fans.
Everyone wanted a pope-themed hat.
"When things go bananas ... that's when it gets really fun," said Brooks Boyer, Chicago's chief revenue and marketing officer.
Fun is the overarching theme when it comes to stadium giveaways, and business has been good at major league ballparks this year.
An array of creative promotions — everything from the New York Mets handing out fake glasses and mustaches for a Bobby Valentine Disguise Night to the Texas Rangers giving away a Nolan Ryan ***** lip jersey — has played at least a small role in an MLB-wide average attendance of 29,618 through Tuesday's games, the highest such number for a full season since 2017.

A former grocer is joining the chorus of criticism against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's plan for government-run grocery stores, arguing it would harm hundreds of small businesses forced to compete with them.
"That supermarket will just bleed red the entire time it's open, from the first time you turn the key until it closes," Rep. Mike Rulli, R-Ohio, told Fox News Digital. "And I would bet the farm there's no way these grocery stores last more than five years — they might not even last a year."
Rulli grew up with his family's Ohio-based grocery store chain, Rulli Brothers, which is now run by his brothers.
Experts Scorch Mamdani's Grocery Plan As An 'Illusion' That Will Have Taxpayers Footing The Bill

PHILADELPHIA — While most of the All-Star players spent the evening Monday hanging out at parties, clubs and restaurants after the Home Run Derby, Chicago White Sox rookie center fielder Tristan Peters was stressed out at the local hospital.
Peters, one of the best rags to riches stories to make the All-Star team, even having a 17-game stint with the Savannah Bananas, was enjoying himself at the Derby on Monday, watching teammate Munetaka Murakami, when his phone buzzed.
It was his wife, Erin, who he originally met in Mesa, Arizona at Scootin’ Boots on the Arizona Line Dancing circuit.
She was in bed with their 4-month-old daughter, Elaine.
And couldn’t get up.

PHILADELPHIA – Tristan Peters says he’s unaware of the hand-wringing that will take place in Milwaukee on July 14 when he takes the field in the All-Star Game as a rookie. That’s probably for the best.
Peters’ selection to the midsummer classic at Citizens Bank Park is the latest and greatest development in a long, winding journey for Peters that involved playing for the Savannah Bananas and beginning his professional career with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Peters, a seventh-round pick in the 2021 draft and now with the Chicago White Sox, was a part of the final big-league trade David Stearns made as the head of baseball operations for the Brewers. In the final hour before the 2022 trade deadline, Milwaukee flipped Peters, then at Class High A Wisconsin, for reliever Trevor Rosenthal.
Rosenthal never threw a pitch for the Brewers.
“No, I haven’t heard,” Peters said July 13 of the reaction to the trade. “I haven’t really looked into it.”

The 2026 NBA offseason has officially entered the twilight zone, and a name that went viral for breaking the news of one of the biggest moves in NBA free agency is officially back, sort of. For those who need a quick refresher: back in 2014, Caroline's Cupcakes in Canton, Ohio, set the internet ablaze after posting that LeBron James' return to the Cleveland Cavaliers was a "done deal" days before his official announcement.
No one else had said this as directly and candidly as Caroline's Cupcakes did at the time. As we now know, the popular Canton-based bakery became an immediate hit nationwide for "breaking" the LeBron news. Now, with James facing another big free agency decision ahead of what could be his final NBA season, the "Cupcake Lady" had NBA fans buzzing—at least for a few hours.
As ESPN Cleveland highlights, the then-owner of Caroline's Cupcakes has since opened a POKE Fresh in the same spot, which is why the original post below is from that company. However, the social media post that first went live dropped a bit of new reporting: LeBron is returning to the Cavaliers, and Bronny AND Draymond Green are coming with.
Now, before we all go bananas over this post, the "Cupcake Lady," as they're known on social media, hit a hard pivot just hours later. Instead of leaving Cavaliers fans dreaming of their new core, an admission was made that this was "not reporting new news" and that the infamous "Cupcake Lady" was just "joking," as seen in the "edit" section below.
Considering the history of how the last news scoop played out, it's fair to say that Cavaliers fans would have loved it if that second edit never appeared on the timeline. Unfortunately, it seems that we're all still playing the waiting game on LeBron's future, and not even the old social account of Caroline's Cupcakes, aka POKE Fresh now, can help us get answers.

Banana Ball fans are no strangers to over-the-top antics, but a new video featuring Party Animals star Garett Delano still managed to grab plenty of attention online. The fan-favorite pitcher, better known to many Banana Ball supporters as "777," shared a clip that appeared to show him being escorted away by police officers before a game. While the footage initially sparked confusion, Banana Ball fans quickly turned the moment into a running joke, flooding the comments section with support for one of the league's most recognizable personalities.
The viral clip opens with Delano walking through a crowd while wearing his Party Animals uniform, complete with his iconic No. 777 jersey and black cowboy hat.
On either side of the pitcher are two uniformed police officers, who appear to be escorting him through the venue. Delano's hands are positioned behind his back, creating the appearance that he is being taken into custody as spectators watch the scene unfold.
Adding to the joke, text over the video reads, "When you get arrested for bullying Bananas fans…" The post was set to Akon's hit song "Locked Up."
Although Delano did not provide any additional explanation, many viewers immediately **** umed the scene was part of Banana Ball's trademark entertainment rather than an actual arrest.

QUAD CITIES, Illinois — At 1:16 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, Illinois head coach Brad Underwood started his round in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am.
Illini fans might notice a familiar face on Underwood's bag, as his son, and Illinois basketball ***** istant coach, Tyler Underwood will be caddying for him during the event and helping him maneuver through TPC Deere Run.
There's no shortage of big names playing in the Pro-Am, as he followed in the steps of names like Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and members of the Savannah Bananas, who teed off earlier in the day.
Ahead of the Pro-Am event, Underwood spoke with the local media, and it's safe to say he wasn't the most confident in his abilities.
"I've played so little golf that it's a little concerning… I had hand surgery right after the season was over and literally I played a round on Friday and played a round on Sunday, and I was so bad on Sunday that I almost went fishing," Underwood said.

Ex-Red Sox Fan Favorite Outfielder Turns Back Clock To Rob Savannah Bananas Homer originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Boston Red Sox saw Jackie Bradley Jr. play in 964 games for them, and he was constantly making spectacular catches in center field. He is still doing the same in the Banana Ball Championship League.
Bradley was drafted by the Indianapolis Clowns with the No. 1 overall pick in the inaugural Banana Ball Player Draft last year. On Sunday night, he became the second player in Banana Ball history to rob a home run, per the league's Instagram account.
The Clowns were playing the Bananas at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, and Bradley reminded everyone why he was regarded as one of the best defensive center fielders in the league throughout his career. He won a Gold Glove in 2018, helping the Red Sox win the World Series that season as well.
Bradley left the Red Sox for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2021, but returned for a second stint with the Red Sox in 2022. He played the 2023 season with the Kansas City Royals. He has not returned to the big leagues since, but is still putting on a show in Banana Ball.

Rookie first-round wide receiver is turning heads from the get go in Philly, and his role could be massive for the Eagles after moving on from A.J. Brown.
The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Makai Lemon in the first round for a reason, and based on everything we’ve seen out of OTAs and the new Sean Mannion offense, this rookie wide receiver might be ready to produce far sooner than people think. DeVonta Smith is the clear No. 1 target in the Eagles passing game now that A.J. Brown is gone, but Lemon has the skillset to carve out a massive role from Day 1.

Now, there was a brief scare during OTAs and minicamp when Lemon wasn’t practicing due to a hamstring issue. Reports indicated it was very minor, and the Eagles were holding him out as a precaution. That calmed my nerves a bit, because if you’ve seen what this kid can do when he’s on the field, you understand why Philadelphia can’t afford to have him miss time.
The Eagles released a practice footage video recently, and there’s one play from Lemon that has the entire fan base going bananas. He runs an out-breaking route about five to 10 yards downfield, and the footwork is perfect. The technique is perfect. He blows right past the defender like it’s nothing. The throw from Cole Payton, the Eagles’ fifth-round pick, actually came in way behind him, but Lemon adjusted, went up, and snagged it. Great hands, great timing, great vision.

Look, I know it’s one route in a practice video. I get that. But watching this play had shades of Amon-Ra St. Brown. I saw a little bit of Puka Nacua in the way he ran that route. It just looked natural. And if Lemon can stack reps like this consistently, he’s going to be a target machine from the jump.
That one clip got me thinking about what Lemon’s actual usage is going to look like in Year 1. Everything we’ve heard about the Sean Mannion scheme so far points to creativity: crosser routes, in-breaking routes, pre-snap motion, play-action bootlegs, guys moving around out of the backfield. This is an offense designed to manufacture easy touches for playmakers, and Lemon fits that mold perfectly.

People will say he’s inexperienced, he’s a rookie, he needs time to develop. Ladies and gentlemen, let me remind you of something. This was supposed to be a top-15 pick who slid right into Howie Roseman’s lap. The Eagles went up and got him. You don’t draft a guy that high to redshirt him.

When you think back to the Eagles offense last season, it was missing all of these little things. There was nothing to bridge the gap between bombing the ball down the sideline and running it up the gut for one yard. Lemon can be that bridge. Those five-yard out routes, those catch-and-run opportunities, those rhythm throws that get your quarterback comfortable early in games. That’s his bread and ***** er.
I’m not saying Lemon is going to come out and shatter every Eagles rookie record, but would it really shock you if he hauled in 50 or 55 catches? Think about the history. Keit

It all started when the Savannah Sand Gnats announced in May 2015 that the team was leaving its home at Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia, as the New York Mets Class A affiliate moved to Columbia, South Carolina.
That opened the door for Jesse Cole and his Fans First Entertainment company as the former Wofford College pitcher saw an opportunity to fill the baseball void in Savannah after the Sand Gnats departed.
The meteoric rise of the Savannah Bananas as one of the most successful sports and entertainment franchises in the world started in 2016 and continues to grow.
The Banana Ball League brings two of its teams – the Party Animals and the Loco Beach Coconuts – to American Family Field in Milwaukee for games Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.

Trump cut tariffs on beef, bananas, coffee and more — but that won't curb prices

When the Trump administration announced it was easing tariffs on a slew of agricultural products, the goal was to appease consumers who are sick of dealing with rising grocery prices.
But though the reduced tariffs could help ease the rate of inflation for foods Americans rely on, it’s unlikely that shoppers will see significant price reductions in store aisles.
