In a new interview, designer Yasmeen Mjalli told Vogue Arabia that her brand Nöl Collective, founded in 2020, almost exclusively imported natural fibers to create their clothes. She recalled the numerous challenges and hardships of creating new pieces in the West Bank.
Mjalli told the magazine she once ordered a shipment of naturally dyed handwoven wool for the brand's autumn collection, only for it to have been held and ultimately destroyed by Israeli customs. She said she made an attempt to source replacement fabric in Jerusalem, but her efforts were thwarted due to the army closing down roads out of Ramallah.
"I was genuinely like, maybe we should stop, maybe this is our last effort. I was just so tired," Mjalli said.

The NFL star, 42, opened up like never before in a two-part episode of the podcast, Not Just Football with Cam Heyward. In the Thursday, September 10 episode, Rodgers revealed actress Shailene Woodley lied about their split back when their engagement ended in 2022.
"I propose and she says yes. Now, she maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no," he said. "But not a couple days after that she tells me, you know, 'Before we get married, I gotta go [expletive] this guy,' and I'm like — because her story is that I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her. Controversial streamer Chud the Builder has reportedly posted bond two months after being arrested in connection with a shooting in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Chud, real name Dalton Eatherly, was released on from the Montgomery County Jail Sunday (August 9), per News Channel 5 Nashville. On May 13, the 29-year-old social media personality got into a verbal altercation with a disabled veteran identified as Joshua Fox, along with his wife, outside a courthouse.
It's alleged that Chud drew a gun on Fox after the man approached him and fired seven shots, five of which struck Fox. One of the bullets impacted Chud, who was treated for a gunshot wound in his arm, while Fox was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he underwent surgery.
Chud, who's known on social media for approaching and heckling Black people with racial slurs, was heard threatening to hit Fox if he said "all that chimp out **** " in a livestream after the shooting.

The news was revealed by royal author Robert Jobson on his Substack page. "Bernie Flannery leaves the King's personal staff this weekend," he wrote. "The loyal butler is the latest of His Majesty's team to leave his side, after more than forty years at his beck and call."
Bernie joined Charles' staff in the early 1990s after serving aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. He clearly made an impression on both Charles and his then-wife, Princess Diana, as when the royal couple split, it was revealed that both wanted him to continue serving them. Bernie chose Charles on the royal's insistence.
Robert concluded his post by saying: "He is the most loyal of the loyal. Happy retirement Bernie. I raise a glass to you."
During his years with the King, Bernie has mostly stayed out of the headlines, although in 1999, he was involved in a car crash after picking up a new car for the Royal Household.

The Kelce family is seemingly gearing up for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's big day.
On Wednesday, June 24, the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end's dad, Ed Kelce, spoke to FOX 29 Philadelphia about the couple's upcoming nuptials, while in Sea City Isle, New Jersey, for his older son Jason Kelce's annual Team 62 Fundraiser.
"I am super excited," he gushed. "She is a sweetheart that is truly the girl next door, just like Kylie Kelce," Ed added, referring to Jason's wife.
As for the retired Philadelphia Eagles player, 38, he told reporters he's "very excited" for Travis, according to a X clip.
"I'm very happy for both of them," he noted. "I'm looking forward to celebrating with them. It's a good year right now."

The housekeeper attacked by a security dog at Chris Brown's Los Angeles mansion wept on the witness stand as she described the mauling.
She claims the attack nearly five years ago left her with severe injuries to her arm and face, extensive and painful scarring, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
"I will never be the same again," Maria Avila told jurors in a California courtroom.
She testified that surgeons harvested so much skin from her abdomen to graft onto her arm, she was unable to bend at the waist during her lengthy recovery.
The lacerations to her face required dozens of sutures, and she had to spend five days in the hospital alone because pandemic restrictions barred visitors, she recalled.
Avila testified that the attack had robbed her of her physical confidence, her livelihood, and her sense of safety. She said she is now afraid of all dogs, and that nerve damage and chronic sensitivity on her left side make it difficult to sleep and perform routine daily tasks.

The Spider-Man stars are notoriously shy about sharing details of their off-screen romance - so fans were thrilled when Zendaya included a sweet snapshot in a promotional post on her social media.
In Rome to promote the upcoming instalment in the franchise, Spider-Man: A Brand New Day, Zendaya posted several photographs of herself wearing a blue and red vintage Versace outfit, in keeping with Spider-Man's iconic superhero suit.
"Just jumping on to say hi from our stop in Rome," the Euphoria actress wrote in a caption accompanying the gallery, alongside a red heart emoji.
At the end of the image carousel Zendaya, 29, slipped in a selfie featuring Tom, 30, kissing the top of her head.
Fans soon went into meltdown over the image.

Kevin Jonas has revealed he threw up during his brother Nick Jonas' first date with now-wife Priyanka Chopra.
The 38-year-old singer made the confession during this week's episode of the siblings' podcast Hey Jonas.
As Nick told listeners he and his actress wife will have been married for eight years in December, Kevin recalled tagging along when his younger brother first stepped out with Priyanka.
"It was pretty great. I wingmanned hard," Kevin joked.
"He did," Nick agreed.
Nick and Priyanka's first date was at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles for a production of Beauty and the Beast.

Yet it will be her taking center stage at Broadway's biggest night as the host of the 79th annual Tony Awards on Sunday night. And surprisingly, it was her 15-year-old daughter, Willow, who paved the path for her.
As Pink tells Yahoo, a move to New York City for her theater-loving teen has turned her into a regular Broadway audience member.
