A 19-year-old sprinter said reaching the semi-finals of the European Athletics Championships was "a dream come true".
Ebuka Nwokeji, from Northampton, competed in the men's 200m race during his first tournament as a senior British international in August.
He was the youngest male athlete selected for Great Britain's team in Birmingham and clocked 20.83 seconds, finishing sixth in his semi-final heat.
"I feel blessed to have even been able to compete; To make a senior team and to make the semi-finals is a dream come true," Nwokeji told BBC Radio Northampton presenter Jake Sharpe.
Italy beat Great Britain by one gold to finish top of the medal table during August's tournament.

JASPER, Ind. — John Hurley didn't believe the process was being followed.
That was the Memorial High School coach during summer workouts. His buzzword to open the official practice slate in August? Complacency. Alarm bells rang throughout the facility on Lincoln Avenue hearing those remarks following back-to-back Southern Indiana Athletic Conference championships. Or preparing for a rival on the road with high aspirations to open the season.
Flash forward to Week 1. **** ody on the Memorial sideline was talking in those terms. Far from it.
More: Scores from week 1 Southwestern Indiana football games
The No. 3 Tigers delivered a major statement with a 48-14 victory over Jasper on Friday at Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium. Not only was it a positive start to the 2026 season – it was a historic showing. The most points ever from the Tigers against the Wildcats. The defending SIAC champions were one point from a running clock.

Bryce Young had much more success in his second game of the preseason, going 5 of 6 for 49 yards passing and setting up a touchdown in the Carolina Panthers' 34-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday night.
The game was suspended because of lightning in the area with 2 minutes left on the clock, but both coaches agreed to end it instead of waiting the mandatory 30 minutes before resuming play.
It was essentially over long before then.
Young directed a 58-yard scoring drive on the team's second possession, picking up five first downs — five more than he had in three series at Buffalo last week. Jonathon Brooks capped the drive with 1-yard touchdown run.
It was a clear step forward for Young and Carolina's first-team offense, which were no-shows against the Bills. The Panthers (2-1) managed 11 yards in three drives in Buffalo, with Young misfiring twice and getting sacked on three third-down plays.

The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped Friday's preseason game to the Carolina Panthers by a score of 34-17. However, this time of the year, individual performances often take priority, with playing time, roles, and roster spots up for grabs.
With the clock having just hit zero, let's dive into our instant takeaways from the Jaguars' performance.
- Not surprisingly, the Jaguars chose not to play their starters in this game.
- Rookies CJ Williams and Josh Cameron continue to stand out. The Jaguars have no shortage of talent at the top of the wide receiver depth chart, but finding some opportunities to get Cameron and Williams on the field this season may have to happen.
- With a potential roster spot up for grabs at linebacker, Yasir Abdullah may be the favorite for that role. Also, at tight end, Quintin Morris and Hunter Long may be battling for one roster spot.

The Green Bay Packers' starting offense marched 66 yards in 12 plays against the Denver Broncos' first-team defense to open Friday night's preseason opener, and MarShawn Lloyd capped off the scoring drive with an 11-yard touchdown catch on third down in the red zone.
Jordan Love completed 5-of-7 passes on the opening drive, including the touchdown pass to Lloyd, who turned five touches into 19 total yards. On the scoring play, Lloyd ran a Texas route from the backfield, beat the man in coverage and burst into the end zone for six. Trey Smack added the extra point for a 7-0 lead.
Watch Lloyd score below:
The touchdown was the first of Lloyd's pro career during the preseason or regular season.
Christian Watson caught a pair of passes for 19 yards on the opening drive, which took up almost seven minutes on the first quarter clock, and Matthew Golden had a 19-yard catch converting a fourth down while also drawing a pass interference penalty. Love's passer rating on the opening drive was 134.5. Lloyd converted a 3rd-and-2 with a 2-yard run, and his touchdown catch came on 3rd-and-3 from the 11-yard line.

Switzerland's Audrey Werro clocked a meet best to win the 800m on home soil at the Lausanne Diamond League on Friday, but fell well short of the world record.
The newly-crowned European champion, the third fastest ever in the women's two-lap race, is aiming to break the 1min 53.28sec run by Jarmila Kratochvilova of then-Czechoslovakia in 1983.
It remains the oldest world record in track and field, albeit one that is highly contested having come during a period when systemic doping of athletes was prevalent. Kratochvilova, however, never failed a doping test.
Unlike the European champs, the Diamond League features wavelight technology, trackside lighting that enables runners to see at what pace they are running.
Werro also had Myrte van der Schoot as her pacemaker, but depite the Dutchwoman clocking an electric 54.64sec for the opening 400m, the 22-year-old Swiss could not maintain the pace, ultimately winning in a meet record of 1:55.33.

A distinct operational evolution has arrived for the Pittsburgh Steelers under head coach Mike McCarthy. Beyond installing his West Coast offensive framework, McCarthy is systematically restoring veteran command, empowering his quarterback with pre-snap freedom that recent Pittsburgh offenses largely lacked.
On a recent episode of "The Snap Count" podcast, former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch and offensive lineman Trai Essex examined how this philosophical shift directly elevates signal-callers on gameday.
"When you look at Mike McCarthy's history, he's always given his veteran quarterbacks the keys to the drive," Batch explained. "In Pittsburgh, we've seen periods where the pre-snap process was overly rigid. Giving an experienced quarterback full autonomy to audit protection, check out of bad looks, and manage the clock changes the entire defense's approach."
Rather than forcing the offense to execute fixed calls regardless of defensive alignments, McCarthy's system relies on dynamic line-of-scrimmage reads. The quarterback retains full authority to flip plays, adjust protection schemes, or call audibles based on safety rotations and front-seven looks.
Essex highlighted how this veteran command instills confidence across the entire offensive line.

ESPN Founder Bill Rasmussen died Aug. 18 at 93 from the effects of Parkinson's disease. (Photo by Marc Serota)
In August 1978, Bill Rasmussen was stuck in traffic on Interstate 84 with his son, Scott, trying to solve a problem: They had plans for a sports cable network and enough satellite capacity to cover 8,760 hours a year. What could possibly fill all that time?
Scott offered an answer that sounded almost absurd: play sports all day.
From that traffic jam emerged the blueprint for what became the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, soon known by its initialism, ESPN.
That brainstorm established Rasmussen, who died Aug. 18 at 93 from the effects of Parkinson's disease, as a founding father of around-the-clock sports television and helped change how generations of fans consumed sports.

Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers gave fans a moment they won't stop replaying, and it had nothing to do with the final score.
Late in the second quarter of Thursday's Fever-Wings game, Clark was dribbling out the clock with Dallas holding a foul to give. Bueckers grabbed her arm to draw the whistle, and Clark clearly didn't appreciate it. She yanked away, fired the ball down the court near Bueckers, and stayed visibly frustrated as the two headed toward the tunnel.
Bueckers wasn't rattled. Cameras caught her looking at Clark and mouthing two words that instantly took over WNBA social media: "Calm down."
The line landed everywhere within minutes. Fans, podcasters and outlets all weighed in on who came out looking better in the exchange, and the reactions ranged from amused to pointed.
"Paige says 'calm down,' and she's absolutely right. Caitlin Clark has been weird as [expletive] lately with all the shenanigans and flailing and shouting at refs," one fan wrote on X.

The U.S. government's debt has surpassed $40 trillion, according to the latest data from the Treasury. It's a staggering, hard-to-process number, totaling over $359,000 in federal debt for every American taxpayer.
Bank of America's chief equity strategist, Michael Hartnett, projects the number will swell to $50 trillion in less than three years.
"The problem with $40 trillion is not the number," Stephen Innes, financial markets **** yst and former investment bank trader, wrote in an **** ysis. "Markets have been watching the US debt clock spin higher for years and, for most of that time, the response has been little more than a shrug. Washington spends, Treasury issues, investors absorb it, and the machine keeps moving."
The largest federal budget items are Medicare/Medicaid combined (nearly $2 trillion), Social Security (over $1.6 trillion), national defense ($946 billion) — and interest on the debt (over $1 trillion).

Cincinnati Bengals center Ted Karras felt a little better about his own battles in practice with defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence after watching him wreck an opposing team's offensive line.
The Bengals had their ups and downs during a joint practice with the Chicago Bears on Thursday, Aug. 20 but Lawrence was in quarterback Caleb Williams' face all day.
Everyone got to see that at the end of practice as both teams gathered on one field for a period of 11-on-11s that started with 3:30 on the clock. It was the only time in practice when the Bengals offense got to watch the Bengals defense, and Lawrence had a sack and an interception in the first of two series, before Jalen Davis' interception ended the practice on the final drive.
"It was f---ing great," Karras said. "It validated a lot of my insecurities. I'm 1-on-1 with the best player in the league every single day 15 to 20 times."
The Bengals have been seeing Lawrence's impact all training camp, but Thursday was a chance to witness it against another team for the first significant amount of time. He played just three snaps in the preseason opener.

Scorebug mafia, rise up.
ESPN has soft launched a new scorebug and graphics package during this evening's preseason game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans that will largely resemble what NFL fans will see during February's Super Bowl, the first to ever air on ESPN.
"As part of our ongoing commitment to elevate our fan experience, we are excited to soft launch a brand new graphics and animation package that will culminate with our first-ever Super Bowl," an ESPN spokesperson told Awful Announcing regarding the new bug.
The restyling is largely in line with ESPN's rebrand ahead of the launch of its direct-to-consumer product a year ago. There is emphasis on the network's black and red color scheme. The bug's font features the seven-degree angle by which the "E" in the ESPN logo is oriented. And the curvature of the "N" is featured in the top-right portion of the bug.
Overall, the new scorebug is inoffensive. ESPN goes with using the team logos over any abbreviations. Down and distance are centered with the game clock and play clock. Timeouts are displayed prominently under each team's score. There's nothing revolutionary going on, but there was no need to reinvent the wheel in the first place.

To end Thursday's joint practice, the Indianapolis Colts' first and second team offenses took part in a two-minute drill against the Atlanta Falcons' defenses.
Of course, Daniel Jones led the Colts starters, and taking the second-team snaps was Anthony Richardson, after Riley Leonard took the bulk of the snaps on Wednesday.
According to Jake Arthur of Roundtable Sports, there was 1:05 on the clock with the Colts starting at their own 25-yard line down by a point.
Richardson would complete 4-of-5 passes on that drive, per Arthur. Richardson also prevented a negative play by corraling a wild snap from Dalton Tucker and throwing the ball away.
With three seconds left after moving the ball down the field, Richardson spiked the ball to stop the clock, and Spencer Shrader knocked through a 52-yarder for the win.

Walmart (WMT) raised its full-year financial outlook after beating Wall Street estimates on both the top and bottom lines, but the stock fell 9% after US same-store sales slowed.
America's biggest retailer, often considered a bellwether for the industry, posted revenue growth of nearly 6% to $187.9 billion, above the roughly $186 billion expected, per Bloomberg consensus data. Adjusted earnings per share clocked in at $0.81, also higher than the $0.74 expected.
However, US same-store sales grew 2.6%, below Wall Street's forecast of 3.7%. This was the slowest pace of US same-store sales growth since Q4 of 2020.
Lower drug prices dragged down sales growth. Excluding health & wellness, which was negatively impacted by maximum fair price legislation that allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices, Walmart reported 3.4% same-store sales growth in core merchandise.
The company also noted it was lapping strong growth in GLP-1 adoption over the past two years.

In 1980, ACC basketball was a very different scene. There was no three-point shot, no shot clock, Duke's best defense was a 2-3 zone, and Maryland was still in the conference.
Duke and Maryland didn't much like each other, but it wasn't like later, when Maryland hated Duke, while Duke, or at least the fans, were indifferent to Maryland.
It was pretty heated on both sides in 1980, and both teams were really good.
Maryland had Albert King, Ernest Graham, Greg Manning, and Buck Williams, while Duke featured Mike Gminski, Kenny Dennard, and Gene Banks up front, AKA the Duke Power Company.
The guards were Bob Bender and Vince Taylor.

The United Arab Emirates suspended all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Iran after accusing Tehran of firing ballistic missiles toward maritime traffic.
The action severs one of the Islamic Republic's most important commercial and financial links and threatens to close off an economic route President Donald Trump's sanctions have struggled to reach. It also further deepens Iran's isolation amid its standoff with the U.S.
The UAE supplied 31% of Iran's imports, valued at roughly $21 billion, in 2024, and was the destination for 13% of its exports, according to World Trade Organization trade data.

A mega Liverpool deal is still on according to Fabrizio Romano.
The clock is ticking. Tick. Tack. Tick. Tack.
Richard Hughes does not have long left now to make this a successful transfer window for Liverpool.
He's already fumbled a couple of deals. Yan Diomande being the most prominent one, who ended up at Real Madrid and who was clearly the replacement lined up for Mo Salah.
Pre-season has been successful but also informative for Andoni Iraola. It has exposed the lack of squad depth he has at his disposal and the need for Liverpool to invest more in the market.

Shares of Micron Technology and Sandisk have clocked phenomenal returns over the past year, primarily due to the mission-critical role of the memory chips produced by them for running artificial intelligence (AI) workloads in data centers.
Faster memory chips and larger storage help solve a key bottleneck in AI data centers by enabling the rapid transport of large volumes of data to data center accelerators. As a result, accelerator chips, such as graphics cards and custom processors, don't have to sit idle and waste energy. However, a closer look at the AI infrastructure ecosystem makes it clear that memory isn't the only bottleneck impeding accelerator performance.

The rapid transport of data has created an incredible demand for optical networking components, which use light to quickly transmit massive amounts of data over long distances via fiber-optic cables. Investment banking and brokerage firm Rosenblatt Securities estimates that optical component companies could increase production capacity by 12x between 2025 and 2030.
However, even that won't be enough to meet the booming demand for optical components. Rosenblatt predicts that supply will trail demand by 50% in 2030 despite the massive increase in production through the end of the decade. This explains why optical and photonics components supplier Lumentum Holdings (NASDAQ: LITE) has been experiencing incredible growth in revenue and earnings.

TORONTO — The standard 5 o'clock pedestrian traffic of financiers in suits featured pops of red and No. 22 jerseys in the Entertainment District on Tuesday night. The promenade at Scotiabank Arena was populated with even more two hours before tip-off.
The Indiana Fever show touched down across the border for the first time and hit all of its typical beats. The game moved to a larger NBA-sized arena filled to the brim at an announced sellout of 19,300. Fans waited in line longer than even Caitlin Clark herself thinks she would consider. And attention honed in on the visitors, with fans giddy at the arrival of the league's most talked-about team.
"It is a spectacle sometimes," Fever head coach Stephanie White said. "But when it's time to play, it's time to play."
No steam was lost in this trip up north, despite the Fever reaching for another beat they'd rather not. The final minutes were made more scintillating than needed after Indiana allowed a 17-point lead to fade, and Tempo guard Marina Mabrey drained back-to-back 3s to pull within four. It was as close as the game had been since the start of the third quarter.
But the Fever held on, and are now riding a five-game win streak with their magic number to clinch a playoff spot at two. They are playing their best basketball in the recent stretch, led again by their big 3 of Clark (24 points, 7 ******* ists), Kelsey Mitchell (29 points) and Aliyah Boston (16). Mitchell extended her streak of 20-plus point games to 20, tying the league record, but missed the fourth quarter. White said all indications are she "got overheated" in their second straight game played in an arena set closer to the temperature of an actual fever.

Trading stocks through Schwab no longer necessarily requires buying a company's shares outright, opening a new way with significantly less cash up front.
The product is called a single stock future, and it comes with a track record that the marketing materials skip over entirely.
Charles Schwab Futures & Forex launched the contracts on more than 50 U.S. equities on August 12, 2026, covering the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and Russell 1000.
Schwab describes it as a simpler, cheaper alternative to options for traders who want leveraged exposure to popular S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 names like Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, and Amazon.
Lower margin requirements, no borrow fees for short positions, and nearly round-the-clock trading access sit at the top of the pitch.

Miami running back Jordan Lyle was estimated to be driving 130 mph while attempting to flee a traffic stop in South Florida last month, according to a probable cause affidavit released on Tuesday, via the Miami Herald.
Lyle was arrested last week on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding law enforcement, each of which are felony complaints in Florida. He is also facing a misdemeanor complaint of reckless driving.
He turned himself into the Sunrise Police Department on Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued. He was then released on bond that same day.
According to the report, Lyle was spotted driving north on the Sawgrass Expressway shortly after 7 p.m. on July 10 and was clocked by an officer driving 92 mph. The speed limit in the area is just 65 mph. When the officer tried to pull Lyle over, Lyle allegedly sped up and got to as fast as 130 mph while making "rapid, abrupt and unsafe lane changes to maneuver between vehicles." At one point, Lyle allegedly made a U-turn from a through lane after exiting the expressway.
Eventually, the officer turned off his lights and sirens and let him go to avoid further danger. An investigation later determined that the car was registered to Lyle, and it was linked to him via his parents' home surveillance system. Police spoke to Lyle via FaceTime on July 15, and he arrived at the police department with a lawyer to give a sworn statement later that day.

LAND O' LAKES, Fla. (AP) — Bill Rasmussen, who co-founded ESPN in 1979 after being fired from a public relations job in the World Hockey ******* ociation, died Tuesday. He was 93.
ESPN historian Mike Soltys said Rasmussen died at his Florida home from the effects of Parkinson's disease. Rasmussen announced in 2019 that he had been diagnosed with the degenerative disease in 2014.
"Bill was a remarkable man — a visionary and an innovator who conceived the idea of a network entirely devoted to sports," ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro said in a statement. "Quite simply, none of us would be here today if it wasn't for Bill's passion and all the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit he put into building ESPN in the late 1970s — key aspects of our company culture that still carry on to this day."
Rasmussen and his son Scott came up with the idea of a network carrying sports around the clock, and it would revolutionize Americans' TV-watching habits. But the pair didn't stick around long. They were forced out after only a year by ESPN majority owner Getty Oil.
Bill Rasmussen's original idea was a cable channel covering only Connecticut sports. Many cable operators in the state were skeptical, but someone suggested buying satellite time to reach a national audience.

A little over a month ago, Georgia Tech defensive lineman Tawfiq Thomas' made a viral social media post about his former team.
On Monday, the former Colorado Buffaloes transfer justified his remarks. Thomas is dressed in Georgia Tech game day gear from head to toe. Hat, jersey, uniform pants and cleats. However, there were additional elements that take this from a reasonable post to regrettable trolling.
The most noticeable is that Thomas is standing in front of a framed poster that shows the final score and stats from Georgia Tech's 27-20 victory over Colorado last season. This included is a countdown clock to the Week 1 match-up between the Buffs and Yellow Jackets. He tagged CU Football's official account and even made it Shedeur Sanders specific by including audio of Sanders' "Perfect Timing" song as well as corresponding lyrics.
The ploy by Thomas likely did not have the result he was hoping for. It might have been a friendly jab, but it was anything but effective. Perhaps during his time in Boulder, Thomas failed to grasp the built-in Sanders fanbase. Established Buffaloes fans might be less likely to engage a player who is no longer with the program. Sanders fans, on the other hand, are all too happy to check receipts and push back.
Following Thomas' original tweet from July 20, the critics showed up in droves. Some of the comments were of the 'act like a professional' variety, while others were much more direct and insulting. Many of the keyboard warriors that patrol social media in an effort to protect Deion Sanders and the Buffs wasted no time responding. Colorado alum Matt McChesney also addressed the post on his Zero2Sixty podcast.

On the dividend front, the energy sector certainly isn't suffering from the summertime blues, as a plethora of pipeline stocks have delivered higher payouts in recent weeks.
Count Delek Logistics Partners (NYSE: DKL), which operates in some of the most coveted domestic shale regions, is among the recent dividend boosters. On July 22, this midcap midstream company upped its quarterly distribution by half a cent to $1.135 a share.

That doesn't sound like much, but it's worth noting that the July increase marked the third time this year Delek Logistics raised its dividend and the 54th consecutive quarter in which the pipeline stock has done so.
Slight quarterly payout boosts are seen elsewhere in the midstream segment, and smart investors enjoy the like-clockwork dependability of those increases because they know that, over time, all those small increases add up to something substantial. That's certainly the case with Delek Logistics, whose annual dividend in dollar terms is a stout $4.54 per share. To be sure, that's tempting, but there are some other factors to consider.

The Buffalo Bills are only about a week into their new $2.1 billion stadium era and it's safe to say things have not gone over as they hoped.
First, fans quickly noticed that there were unexpected obstructed-view seats at an early August practice. The obstructed views went viral on social media, with the Bills eventually responding that they're addressing the feedback and that less than 1 percent of personal seat license holders had raised concerns about the sightlines.
Then, when players took the field at new Highmark Stadium over the weekend when the Bills took on the Carolina Panthers, an anonymous Bills player called out the new grass. While Bills linebacker Dorian Williams thought the grass field was cool and was better than turf, it "kind of chunked up a little bit."
It's still early for new Highmark Stadium, but Bills president Pete Guelli spoke on Monday to the ******* ociated Press about the concerns related to the grass. During the preseason game over the weekend, an official had to stop the play clock to replace a divot in the grass while certain parts of the field looked noticeably brown during play. After the game, the grounds crew re-seeded parts of the field as well.
"From a playability and safety perspective, everybody's very happy," Guelli said, via the ******* ociated Press. "It's Year 1. So it's a brand new field and it's going to take time for the foundation to build up. So some of the things people saw in the game, those will dissipate over time."

There were a lot of positive developments for the Denver Broncos in their 27-7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in the first game of the preseason. The defense forced some turnovers, Jarrett Stidham played well starting at quarterback, and Offensive Coordinator Davis Webb dialed up a lot of creative plays.
However, one of the best aspects was how well their rushing attack performed. The Broncos rushed for 162 yards against the Falcons in their preseason opener. As a group, they averaged a respectable 4.2 yards per carry and moved the chains with nine first downs on the ground. By doing so, they controlled the pace of the game and the clock, earning themselves a decisive victory in the process.
Head Coach Sean Payton was pleased with the stable of back's efforts. Last season, the Broncos struggled in the latter portion of the season when J.K. Dobbins went down with injury. In order to keep their ground game strong for the upcoming season, Denver drafted Washington standout Jonah Coleman with one of their fourth-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
In his NFL debut, Coleman had just four carries. He racked up 24 yards on the ground, including an impressive 13-yard scamper that showcased his vision, contact balance, and ability to break tackles and create extra yards after contact. All key reasons why the Broncos believe highly in his future with the franchise. When asked why Coleman's carry total and playing time in the preseason opener was limited, Payton had a short and sweet answer.
"I didn't need to see additional evidence of what I've been seeing for three weeks," Payton stated.

The clock is ticking loudly at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp at St. Vincent College, and second-year running back Kaleb Johnson may already be running out of time.
Selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Iowa, Johnson was once viewed as a potential future fixture in Pittsburgh's backfield. However, as training camp practice number 13 wrapped up on Sunday, the 23-year-old found himself buried on the depth chart, not just behind proven starters Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle, but behind journeymen and practice-squad regulars.
In Pittsburgh's preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers, Johnson saw minimal work, logging just two carries for three yards. Instead, backup snaps went to NFL veteran Travis Homer and second-year back Lew Nichols.
Steelers reporter Christopher Carter shared his hopes that the low volume was merely part of an early-preseason rotation on his "Locked on Steelers" podcast. However, he added that his hopes had quickly faded during team periods in Latrobe.
"Kaleb Johnson really didn't see any action. He saw I think what two, five snaps overall. He get two carries for three yards. He was out there after Travis Homer and after Lew Nichols," noted Carter.

The Chicago Bears had the most dominant victory of any team across the first week of the preseason with their 34-10 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Chicago started out slow in the first quarter, trailing 10-0, and partway through the second quarter including allowing quarterback Deshaun Watson to lead the Browns on a 10-play, 81-yard drive that took over six minutes off the clock. However, that was the last time Cleveland would score as Chicago's defense stiffened and the Bears offense got things going, scoring 34 unanswered points en route to a dominating win.
Here is a look at the good, bad and ugly from the Bears' preseason opening victory against the Browns:
Depth performances: Chicago has a lot of talented depth pieces on both sides of the ball that have a real chance of making an impact on the Bears this season. Rookie cornerback Malik Muhammad, who has been having a really good training camp, showed his physicality throughout the game. Wide receiver Kaden Davis had 88 receiving yards, which was the most of anyone in this game. Multiple players on the defensive line had a strong performance including Jamree Kromah and James Lynch. There has been concern that the Bears do not have enough depth on defense, but this game seemed to prove that Chicago has a lot more untapped talent than originally thought.
Case Keenum shines in third quarter: Keenum may be the third-string quarterback, but it is still important to see how he operates in the offense in the event Chicago ever needs him. He finished the day with a perfect quarterback rating, 90 percent completion percentage and two touchdowns. The veteran quarterback was in rhythm the entire time he was in the game and showed that if he ever needed to, he would have no problem operating this offense.
