Every year, twice a year, New York Fashion Week is a feast for all of the senses. You find yourself craning your neck left and right at whiplash speed just to take in all of the sumptuous looks sauntering down the runway, ID'ing the supermodels, and hoping for a glimpse of the star-studded front row. If you're really lucky, you may find yourself backstage, where you have a chance to inhale the hairspray that holds the looks together and swatch the lipsticks that define them; or you may find yourself in a showroom, tentatively running your fingers across a hand-embroidered beaded gown. And you can't forget the afterparties, where you'll more than likely be treated to a caviar-encrusted chicken nugget and a bespoke designer **** tail.
It shouldn't be surprising, then, that it's difficult to stand out in such a flurry of beauty and creativity. But a handful of celebrities have managed to leave an indelible mark on NYFW history. Teyana Taylor and Julia Fox consistently arrive in some of the most head-turning looks in the crowd, while Lil Nas X's pink feathered headdress extended high into the heavens (and back into the second row) at Christian Cowan in 2013. Famous kids also snag coveted front row seats—North West made her NYFW debut at the tender age of two.

Tommy McMillen and Marwan Rahiki turned in one of the best featherweight fights ever earlier today (Sat., Sept. 12, 2026) at Noche UFC 4 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, as the two prospects stood toe-to-toe and unleashed everything they had.
Both fighters came into this fight with something to prove. For McMillen, it was his chance to prove he's the real deal at 145 pounds and not just an exciting fighter from the Contender Series. For Rahiki, he was out to showcase his own potential in the UFC's talent-rich featherweight division and that he should get a bigger push from matchmakers instead of McMillen. It was a recipe for unfiltered chaos and that's exactly what fight fans witnessed.
The first round was a back-and-forth affair full of combinations and exchanges in close. McMillen showcased some of his wrestling along the way, but Rahiki did well to get back to his feet. The second round was even crazier as Rahiki landed a massive uppercut that sent McMillen crashing to the canvas. Rahiki chased McMillen all over the cage in search of a finish, but "Gun" somehow survived. It was a true testament to McMillen's heart, toughness, and elite cardio.
McMillen returned the favor in the third round when he regained momentum with a huge knockdown in the center of the Octagon. From there, McMillen was on cruise control. He attacked with chokes, combinations in the clinch, knees inside, and all-out pressure. Rahiki was fading for sure, but he somehow hung in long enough to hear the final buzzer sound. It was one of the wildest three-round fights you'll ever see and another reason why McMillen is one of the quickest rising stars in the sport.

Sheffield United have signed former Crystal Palace and Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew on a deal until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old, who has won 124 caps for Ghana, was a free agent after leaving the Foxes at the end of last season following their relegation to League One.
Ayew joined Aston Villa from Lorient in 2015 and has spent the past 11 years in the Premier League and Championship.
"We're talking about someone here with bags of experience from right at the top level of the game," boss Chris Wilder told the club website.
"Only a few months ago he was captaining Ghana in the World Cup, so he's someone with real pedigree.

ESPN'S Jeff Passan made a humorous reference on social media Sept. 2, quoting a Milwaukee Brewers post that showed Christian Yelich's go-ahead home run in his team's 9-4 win over the Cubs one night earlier.
"Can I ask, by the way, how people in Chicago felt about their home game turning into a road game?" Passan wrote. "That can't happen."
Indeed, Brewers fans were pretty loud as Yelich circled the bases in the top of the sixth, though Passan's sentiment has some added history.

When scientists with the National Center for Wildlife in Saudi Arabia were surveying caves in search of wildlife in 2022 and 2023, they came across something unexpected: seven naturally mummified cheetahs in five caves near the northern city of Arar. The remains were largely intact with well-preserved soft tissue and skeletons.
Now, an ******* ysis of three of the mummies' DNA has revealed something that could help reintroduce cheetahs to the Arabian Peninsula wilderness, researchers say.
Cheetahs once inhabited much of Africa and parts of Asia, but now they are found in only 9% of their historic range. It was previously believed that the Asiatic cheetah, called Acinonyx jubatus venaticus, was the only subspecies ever present in Saudi Arabia. The species is now critically endangered, with a small wild population remaining in Iran. Across the peninsula, cheetahs were deemed locally extinct in the 1970s.
But when the researchers ******* yzed three of the mummies, they found that two of the oldest specimens were genetically closer to the subspecies Acinonyx jubatus hecki, known as the Northwest African cheetah.
The findings, published in January in the journal Communications Earth & Environment, reveal that at least two subspecies of cheetah once roamed the Arabian Peninsula. The discovery could help reintroduction efforts as scientists now know which cheetah lineages once lived in the peninsula and have evidence of their success in the area.

Minutes after reports emerged claiming that Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger had decided to retire from international football, the German defender has made it official and announced that he has brought his time with the national team to an end.
The 33-year-old veteran star confirmed the same with an emotional post on his social media, in which he explained the reasoning behind his decision to move on from Die Mannschaft.
Kicking things off, Rudiger mentioned that after much deliberation following the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer, he felt that it was the right time for him to hang up his national team boots to make way for the new generation.
"After giving it some thought, the time has come for me to bring my career with the national team to a close and make way for the younger generation," he wrote.
Looking back at his journey with the national team, Rudiger elaborated: "When I first pulled on the DFB shirt in 2014, I could never have imagined in my wildest dreams that I would end up playing 86 international matches.

Assistant manager Steve Parkin says he understands Chris Wilder's frustrations over the possibility of losing Callum O'Hare to Wrexham after the Sheffield United boss accused the Welsh side of a "blanket bombing" approach to the transfer window.
Speaking ahead of the Blades' Championship contest with Bolton Wanderers at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night (19:45 BST), United boss Wilder confirmed the Red Dragons had submitted a bid for attacking midfielder O'Hare.
During the press briefing, Wilder also said Wrexham were "in for half the division".
And while accepting Wilder's frustrations, Wrexham ****** istant Parkin was keen to stressed his side's transfer dealings are far more methodical than Wilder suggested.

The Cardiff game probably left Sheffield United fans slightly puzzled about what to expect in the coming weeks. Boss Chris Wilder himself admitted he was left scratching his head at such an open and breathless game.
However, some encouragement emerged in the form of a first Championship goal of the new season.
It comes after a measly combined total of just four shots on target from the opening two league games. Questions loomed about where the goals would come from this season.
Some answers were found at Cardiff City Stadium.
Tom Cannon's successful penalty was his second goal in two games, having netted in the EFL Cup in midweek. A goal from open play was even more encouraging, with Callum O'Hare looking like one of Sheffield United's bigger attacking threats.

CLEVELAND — Last summer, the Guardians found themselves embroiled in one of the wildest storylines around baseball, as closer Emmanuel Clase and starter Luis Ortiz were placed on leave for their alleged roles in a gambling scheme.
It's possible the Guardians might end up being involved in one of the oddest stories around the league in 2026 as well.
Major League Baseball reportedly opened an investigation and then suspended a sought-after Dominican prospect for an alleged scheme that included a fake name, age, birth certificate and even gravestone in order to falsify his identity and make him appear to be younger, according to an ESPN report.
David Severino was purportedly a switch-hitting infielder around the age of 14. He reportedly agreed to a $2.8 million deal with the Guardians that would be finalized in 2029, when he'd turn 17 and be eligible to sign.
But, it turns out his real name is Daury David Severino Damaso, and he's actually 16 years old, according to the reported investigation. Allegedly, with the consent of his parents and with the help of a trainer, the identity of David Severino Damaso was created to appear to be Daury's younger brother. A fake, late-filed birth registration was made under that name, along with falsified medical records.

For those who stayed up well into Saturday morning to watch the opener of this Orioles-Athletics series, well, I wouldn't exactly say you witnessed an instant classic. There was a whole lot of silly baseball going on. Baserunning blunders. Defensive butchery. Inexplicable managerial decisions. The Orioles couldn't score more than two runs in regulation against the league's worst pitching staff, and let a late lead slip away.
But in the end, Coby Mayo and Christian Encarnacion-Strand saved the Orioles' bacon with back-to-back RBI singles in the top of the 10th, and Alex Hoppe hung on in the bottom half for his first career save, bringing a happy ending to an often bewildering game. To quote Camden Chat commenter Knightley: "This game was so stupid, but at least we won."
If you were expecting the Orioles to storm into Sacramento and easily put away the third-worst team in baseball, well, you don't know the Orioles. Every game seems to be a struggle for the Birds, no matter the quality of the opponent. You might think that the O's, after scoring 26 runs in three games in St. Louis, could at least keep up their offensive momentum against an awful Athletics pitching staff, whose 5.75 ERA entering the game was the worst in the American League. Again, you'd be wrong.
In the first nine innings against these supposedly atrocious A's pitchers, the Orioles scored two (2) runs. That's it. Both came in a weird top of the second inning against Athletics starter Jacob Lopez. The lefty's first pitch drilled Coby Mayo in the shoulder, and later he walked Leody Taveras on four pitches. With two down, Dylan Beavers — starting against a lefty for only the fifth time this year — delivered a clutch hit, roping an RBI single to right to plate Mayo with the game's first run.
Then things went haywire. Carlos Narváez tapped a 43-mph dribbler down the first base line. It should have been a simple task for Lopez to simply pick the ball up and tag out Narváez on his way to first, but somehow the A's hurler let the ball pop out of his glove, then collided with Narváez in the baseline, leading to visits from both team's trainers (both players stayed in). Taveras scored on the error, extending the O's lead to 2-0.

The adoption of a new college eligibility system — an age-based, five-year model designed to eliminate waivers, redshirts and roster logjams created by a surge of athletes in their mid-20s sticking in school — has been furiously challenged in the courts by members of the 2022 high school class who want a fifth year of eligibility, too.
The new eligibility system, which is replacing one that allowed four seasons of competition over five years with no age restrictions, excludes student-athletes who exhausted their eligibility during the 2025-26 academic year.
That bucket is filled with athletes who first enrolled in 2022, following high school graduation. As of an Aug. 21 report from Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger, more than 150 athletes had filed a total of 18 lawsuits across 15 states. Wins against the NCAA in state courts have allowed athletes to return to college, including football players who were in NFL camps this offseason.
The phenomenon has bewildered NFL coaches, and, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the league is clarifying its eligibility rules on Wednesday.
Here's what Schefter outlined in his report: If a player signed to an NFL contract is cut, they are a free agent, meaning they can sign with another NFL team, a CFL team or return to college. But even if a player cut by an NFL team returns to college this year, they won't be subject to a future NFL Draft because they will still be considered a free agent. Plus, any player who goes back to college this year won't be able to sign with an NFL team this season.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has confirmed the club are interested in signing free agent Adam Webster.
The defender left Brighton after suffering an ACL injury but Wilder has backed the 31-year-old to make an impact in the near future should the deal be completed.
"I've known Adam for a long time and he's coming off the back of a big injury but not a career ending injury, an ACL, at Brighton and out of contract," Wilder said.
"You know the market we're in and were talking about last week, a market of frees and loans, so it's an interesting one for us.
"He came up for a couple of days, so I can't really deny that, can I? He's somebody that is of interest to us."

The Blades take on Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and providing a team news update ahead of the game, Wilder said: "We've got a couple of enforced from the weekend.

Despite the countless hours of rehearsals and practice that go into a pageant, there is no amount of preparation that can stop a wardrobe malfunction from happening when you least expect it.

Luckily for the contestants gearing up to walk the stage in the 2026 Miss USA competition in Miami, Fla., on Aug. 27, years of experience in the pageant world and other competitive arenas (dance, livestock competitions and more) have caused them to develop creative solutions to even the most devastating wardrobe malfunctions on the fly.

Some contestants recall the usual, dreaded dress rip or getting a stain on their garments just before walking on stage, while others open up about the wildest malfunctions that prompted them to start incorporating new preventative methods into their pre-pageant rituals.

Other contestants have been lucky to avoid malfunctions throughout their pageant career, but have experienced moments in other parts of their lives or witnessed their fellow pageant contestants step on stage in outfits held together by safety pins and string.

The Cardinals are in denial, and the kids are suffering. Marvin Harrison Jr. has been miserable since arriving in Arizona. Trey McBride lashed out at Cardinals fans, or the lack thereof, and later retracted his criticism. We'll see what happens with rookie sensation Jeremiyah Love, but he's already hurt. In the daunting NFC West, Arizona will string its marriage of convenience with Jacoby Brissett along for one more season, and we'll see what happens in the 2027 NFL Draft.
The Falcons boast Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts Sr., an extremely talented group of offensive weapons. But with Michael Penix Jr. or Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, it won't matter in the end. It's really sad to watch Penix Jr. and Tagovailoa's bodies betray them. It also really stinks to consider Atlanta wasting another talented roster in the quarterback wilderness and missing the playoffs for a ninth straight season.

Just as everyone thought, the wild, wild west days of college football were behind them, and a new chapter begins. The latest development in player eligibility may be the wildest yet.
This week, a group of former college football players was granted a temporary restraining order after a federal judge in Louisiana ruled in their favor. The ruling allows them to enter the transfer portal, even though some of them are on NFL rosters.
One of those players was Cleveland Browns tight end Dae'Quan Wright.
CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz shared on Thursday that Wright had entered the NCAA transfer portal. Wright's decision comes after the ruling gave players seven days to enter the portal while regaining a year's worth of eligibility.
Wright went undrafted in April's 2026 NFL Draft and initially signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. They released him, and he signed with the Browns on August 11. Wright was on the Browns' roster for their first preseason game of the year last Saturday, but he did not play.

A viral ad campaign by the Kelce brothers' joint company, Garage Beer, in collaboration with energy drink Liquid Death, has sparked amusement and bewilderment online.
A satirical ad campaign by Liquid Death and Garage Beer, co-owned by Travis Kelce and his recently retired brother Jason, asks fans to mail in their urine to AI data centers to cool down their servers instead of wasting fresh water.
In an advert that is fair to put in the 'you don't see that every day' column, Jason Kelce, after urinating, is soon surrounded by members of the public singing extravagantly with their hands aloft, "We want your pee."
Although a humorous look at AI, it is an odd advert, and many in the sports world had their say.
'Rat King' on X wrote, "Temperature check on public AI sentiment: Kelce brother ad focused on mailing [expletive] jars to data centers." X user Eric The Great replied, clearly bewildered, writing simply: "What on earth."

Aug. 17— The Austin Bruins have announced that the club will play four preseason games prior to the 2026 regular-season opener.
The Bruins will face off in a home-and-home series with the Midwest Division's Minnesota Wilderness in a rematch of the 2026 Robertson Cup Semifinal. The Bruins will visit the Wilderness on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. from Wessman Arena on the campus of UW-Superior in Superior, Wis. and host Minnesota on Saturday, September 5 at 6:05 p.m. at Riverside Arena.
Bruins fans will get their first taste of Central Division play the following week with a home-and-home series against in-state rival St. Cloud Norsemen. The Bruins head up to the St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex for a noon puck drop on Wednesday, September 9 before hosting the Norsemen on Saturday, September 12 at 6:05 p.m. at Riverside Arena.

Olivia Wilde has opened up about being bullied over her original surname.
The Booksmart director grew up being teased over her Scottish last name, ******* burn, but explained in a new interview that the taunts had helped her develop a sense of humour.
Olivia, who adopted "Wilde" as a stage name when she entered the entertainment industry, told Dax Shepard, host of the Armchair Expert podcast, exactly how to ******* ounce her real name.
"I'll tell you something - and there's no way you would know this - it's ******* ounced 'Coburn,'" the actress and filmmaker explained. "Which I want you to imagine being a kid, when you're... Because it's spelled 'Cockburn!'"
After explaining her family name's Scottish origins, Olivia, 42, added she had chosen "Wilde" in tribute to the Irish playwright, novelist and poet, Oscar Wilde.
But, she joked, having a name that invited teasing was "character building", and compared her experience to the classic country song, A Boy Named Sue, in which a young man whose struggle with his unusual name left him with a sharp wit.

There has never, in the long and celebrated history of Major League Baseball, been a better debut than the one Cardinals outfielder Joshua Baez authored at Wrigley Field on Saturday afternoon as Baez became the first player to ever go deep in the first three plate appearances of a career.
The 23-year-old slugger got things started with a bang, pulverizing the 0-0 pitch of his first at-bat 449 feet over the batter's eye in dead center. That sent the Cardinals' dugout into a frenzy. Players banged uncontrollably on the dugout railing. Coaches stood shellshocked, mouths agape. Baez couldn't stop smiling as he floated around the bases. Baez went yard again in his second trip to the dish. Savvy veteran Matthew Boyd tried to sneak a full-count changeup past Baez. The hulking slugger turned it into a souvenir, pulling the offering down the left-field line over the ivy and into the seats. But he wasn't done. With a runner on first in the top of the sixth, Baez got the better of Boyd once again, poking an outer-half slider into the front row in right. Three at-bats; three homers, all to different parts of the yard. It was a debut beyond anyone's wildest dreams.

For Baez, the Cardinals' 8-4 victory was the experience of a lifetime and an appropriate introduction to the big league ball fans that might spend the next decade watching him turn hangers into bangers.

A 21-foot boat ran out of fuel while traveling through the waters of southeastern Alaska. Now, Meta's Mark Zuckerberg is under fire as his private yacht was reportedly closer than the vessel that ultimately came to help.
According to the Alaska Beacon, vessel-tracking data showed Zuckerberg's 387-foot superyacht, Launchpad, was near Farragut Bay when the ***** istance request went out.
It seems that Launchpad did not ***** ist, but a 192-foot cruise ship called Wilderness Legacy turned back instead, towed the small boat into Farragut Bay, and provided fuel.
A passenger on the cruise ship claimed the yacht repeatedly refused to respond, while Zuckerberg's spokesperson said its crew did not initially hear the radio request.

And in a conversation with FS1 host Kevin Wildes on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Simmons did just that when he admitted that he doesn't wear a seatbelt when driving.
"As you know from driving with me, I never buckle it, and I just wait the minute until it stops doing the noise," Simmons said.
When asked if he ever buckled his seatbelt by Wildes, he replied, "Eh, not really."

Kalvin Phillips is set to return to Sheffield United as Manchester City will send him out on loan for a fourth time.
The England international midfielder, who still has two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, has not featured in the Premier League for City since 2023.
The 30-year-old joined Sheffield United for the second half of last season but only made three appearances before a red card in a Steel City derby and then a knee injury meant he did not feature again.
But United manager Chris Wilder has moved to bring in Phillips for a second time to give him options in midfield while he faces losing Gustavo Hamer to Coventry City.
Phillips cost City £42.5m when he joined for Leeds in 2022 but has only started two league games for them and has gone on loan to West Ham. Ipswich and United.
