Suki Waterhouse graced the red carpet alongside her fiancé, Robert Pattinson, for the screening of his new film "Primetime" during the 2026 Venice Film Festival on Sept. 5 in Venice. The duo was dressed formally for their red carpet moment.
The "Back in Love" singer's Lavalliere-Cuff mini dress hailed from Saint Laurent and was constructed out of a mossy green lace fabric. The delicate construction consisted of a high neck and long sleeves adorned with mauve silk bows at the wrists. Said bows were worn undone, tapping into Waterhouse's rock star aesthetic that is slightly disheveled but always flattering.

Charlie Theron had a surprising response to fans expecting her to discuss Tom Hardy. The actress reflected on filming Mad Max: Fury Road instead. Theron shared a sweet memory involving her daughter and costars. She then jokingly told the crowd, "Shame on you!"
Theron recently appeared at a screening of Mad Max: Fury Road. She spoke to an audience at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The actress was asked whether she had positive memories from filming.
"I actually do, okay!" Theron replied as the audience laughed. The reaction appeared connected to her widely reported on-set difficulties. Theron and Tom Hardy reportedly struggled to get along during production.
However, Theron chose to share a much sweeter memory. Her oldest daughter was only six weeks old during filming. As a single mother, Theron said she did not bring a nanny.
"All of the girls in this film and Nick Hoult basically raised her," Theron recalled. The cast spent six months filming in Namibia. Her daughter remained close to the production throughout that time.

Hannah Waddingham has developed a red carpet style that is glamorous, confident and unapologetically feminine. Whether she is wearing an extravagant ball gown, sleek tailoring or a playful mini dress, the Ted Lasso star consistently embraces dramatic silhouettes and bold details while making each look feel distinctly her own.
At the 2022 Emmy Awards, Waddingham delivered a memorable princess moment in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown. Its voluminous pink tulle skirt and jeweled bodice brought plenty of drama, while glittering sneakers hidden underneath added an unexpected practical touch. She later changed direction at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, choosing a metallic green Tom Ford dress with a figure hugging silhouette and sheer detailing. For the Ted Lasso season three premiere, she demonstrated her versatility in a flowing Tarik Ediz halter jumpsuit.
Her 2024 appearances pushed the glamour even further. At the BAFTAs, Waddingham wore an Oscar de la Renta creation featuring intricate floral embroidery and an elegant high neckline. She embraced full Hollywood glamour at the Emmys in a shimmering halter gown finished with a dramatic feathered train. At the SAG Awards, a red Tony Ward gown combined off the shoulder styling, elegant draping and a thigh high slit, while her Golden Globes appearance brought a darker mood through sheer fabric, corsetry and black lace.
Waddingham continued experimenting with color and texture in 2025. At the Cannes Film Festival screening of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, she arrived in a striking pink Elie Saab gown with a sweeping, voluminous train. She later offered something completely different at the Los Angeles premiere of Smurfs, wearing a Stella McCartney denim dress accented with delicate white lace and coordinated white pumps.
By 2026, Waddingham was still finding new ways to balance sophistication with playfulness. For the Ted Lasso season four premiere, she chose an Alice + Olivia mini dress decorated with oversized red floral embroidery. It was shorter and more playful than many of her grand red carpet gowns, but carried the same unmistakable confidence.

CNN has apologized for mistakenly airing a photo of a Dolly Parton impersonator while covering the death of the "Queen of Country."
During the 11 p.m. ET hour of the Aug. 25 evening broadcast of "Laura Coates Live," a photo meant to show Parton, who died the same day at age 80, was actually of Las Vegas entertainer Kelly Vohnn.
The photo that aired during the segment was taken by Getty Images on Dec. 16, 2025, when the tribute artist attended a special screening of the "Song Sung Blue" movie at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
"We regret the error and apologize to the Parton family," CNN said in a statement shared with Variety and the New York Post.
Vohnn addressed the mix-up in an interview with the New York Post, where she said "I started getting all these texts in from friends saying that I was on CNN, and I couldn't believe it."

Healthcare investors are often faced with a choice between companies that generate steady growth across diversified businesses and those positioned to benefit from improving industry conditions. Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT) and Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE:TMO) represent those two approaches. Abbott (NYSE:ABT) continues to deliver broad-based growth across diagnostics, medical devices, and nutrition, while Thermo Fisher (NYSE:TMO) is showing early signs that the life sciences downturn may finally be easing.
Both companies reported encouraging results, but the question for investors is whether consistent execution or a cyclical recovery offers the stronger long-term opportunity.
Abbott's (NYSE:ABT) strongest growth driver this quarter came from diagnostics, reinforcing the company's ability to generate meaningful growth across multiple business segments. The company's cancer diagnostics business, which was recently integrated through the Exact Sciences buyout, is benefiting from an expanding base that comprises both new and repeat users of the colorectal cancer screening test, Cologuard.
The quarter's earnings report corroborates this, as sales in its diagnostics segment rose 42% to $3.09 billion in fiscal Q2, surpassing the estimate of $3.02 billion, emerging as one of the company's strongest performers during the quarter. The continued strength in diagnostics is particularly important because it adds another major growth engine alongside Abbott's (NYSE:ABT) medical device business, making the company's earnings profile more balanced.
While Abbott's (NYSE:ABT) investment case is built on factors like diversification, Thermo Fisher's (NYSE:TMO) outlook increasingly depends on improving conditions across the life sciences industry. The company's quarter suggests that the recovery in life sciences spending is becoming increasingly broad-based. Management highlighted improving customer activity across pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets, while multiple operating segments returned to healthy growth. That is an important distinction because broader participation across business segments suggests customer spending is becoming healthier rather than merely stabilizing in one niche.

Sports bodies should prioritise routine screening and regular monitoring of elite athletes' mental health, the International Olympic Committee has reported.
The IOC says fostering good mental health and wellbeing must be done across the board with the timing of support critical.
A consensus statement from the IOC states screening and monitoring mental health should be done at predefined points and after significant events, and also address training and competition factors.
"While recognition of overt mental health disorders in elite athletes remains essential, situating athlete wellbeing within a dynamic continuum offers an additional framework for understanding the spectrum of psychological functioning in this population," said the IOC in a statement published online in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
"For example, elite athletes may experience transient stress reactions related to competitions, to various temporary setbacks that are a normal and common part of elite athlete life, or to intense training periods.

Sophie Cunningham has become the face of the transgender athlete debate consuming women's sports, and the scrutiny hasn't stayed confined to the WNBA. Athletes across other sports are now being asked to weigh in, too.
This week, it was Coco Gauff's turn. Asked about the WTA's new genetic testing policy, the World No. 4 tennis superstar gave her answer, and the reaction split almost immediately into two camps that agreed on nothing except that she'd said something worth arguing about.
Gauff's comments came after the WTA introduced a mandatory genetic testing policy in July, requiring all players to submit to a one-time test screening for the SRY gene as a condition of eligibility.
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka backed the policy earlier in the week, stating it wouldn't be fair for women to compete against "biological men."
But Gauff gave a longer, more careful answer than her top-ranked peer.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka recently gave her take on the Women's Tennis ***** ociation's new mandatory gene-testing policy for players. It is set to go into effect ahead of the 2028 Olympics.
Sabalenka was supportive of it, calling the policy fair. It is essentially a one-time gender screening which is 'based on biological ***** '. The policy is stated to want to preserve the integrity of women's tennis.
The debate over transgender athletes in sports goes well beyond tennis. And now, 22-year-old American star Coco Gauff has addressed the policy and the larger issue, weighing in on both.

Baron Capital, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter for the "Baron Health Care Fund". A copy of the letter is available to download here. The Fund gained 11.99% during the quarter, compared with the 10.48% gain for the Russell 3000 Health Care Index and the 15.44% gain for the Russell 3000 Index. Since inception, the Fund appreciated 10.61% on an annualized basis, compared with 10.02% for the Benchmark and 14.83% for the Index. Strong stock selection in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health care equipment, and life sciences tools and services supported the Fund's outperformance, although limited exposure to managed care stocks reduced relative returns. The Fund remains positive on health care due to improving biotechnology funding, strong acquisition activity, recovering managed care margins, and growth from an aging population, chronic disease, medical innovation, and higher health care spending. In addition, please check the Fund's top five holdings to know the best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Baron Health Care Fund highlighted BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN). BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN), a precision diagnostics company leveraging its technology to quantify biology to create molecular diagnostics, delivered strong performance during the quarter. On August 03, 2026, BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN) closed at $137.32 per share. The one-month return of BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN) was 16.33%, and YTD its shares gained 67.79% over the past 52 weeks. BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN) has a market capitalization of $6.32 billion.
Baron Health Care Fund stated the following regarding BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"BillionToOne, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLLN) is a diagnostics company that is disrupting the market with more accurate prenatal and oncology genetic tests. Today, the vast majority of the company's revenue is generated by UNITY, a unique prenatal test that can screen for recessive single gene disorders from a maternal blood draw and identify fetal antigen status across both red blood cell and platelet antigens. Shares rose in the second quarter after the company reported robust first-quarter results (revenue up 84% year over year with 22% operating margins) and announced a meaningful expansion of commercial insurance coverage for its UNITY test and new UNITY Confirm product, which can replace amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling to confirm a genetic diagnosis following a high-risk UNITY screening result. We continue to believe that BillionToOne's differentiated "quantitative counting template" technology enables more sensitive genetic testing. The company is making early headway in oncology with its SELECT therapy selection and RESPONSE therapy monitoring tests, which we think will be important future growth drivers."

Sir Chris Hoy insists he wants to speak to Andy Burnham about doing something "proactive" in the fight against prostate cancer.
Six-time Olympic cycling champion Hoy, 50, was given a terminal stage four cancer diagnosis in 2023 and was told he had "two to four years" to live.
Yet in the near-three years since, Hoy has looked to raise awareness in the battle against prostate cancer – which is the most common form of cancer in UK men – with charity bike rides and various media appearances.
Now, Scottish hero Hoy insists he wants to meet with the new prime minister to develop a new screening system that catches symptoms earlier. Hoy has previously urged all men over the age of 40 to get tested for prostate cancer.
"I can't see how the government are not coming up with some form of proactive decision," he told The Guardian. "They say that the risk of testing every man and the number of men who would have elevated PSA [prostate-specific antigen] levels, would then lead to too many being unnecessarily treated, and then having to deal with the consequences of surgery or treatment.

Kimberly Guilfoyle's latest diplomatic stop is drawing attention for what she wore, not what she said.
The 57-year-old U.S. ambassador to Greece visited the Ormylia Monastery in Halkidiki on Thursday, July 30, according to a report from Greek City Times.
For the visit, she wore a fitted turquoise knee-length dress with a plunging neckline and pointed-toe stilettos. In a photo taken with a group of monks and nuns, who were covered from head to toe except for their faces and hands, Guilfoyle's outfit stood in stark contrast to the monastery's modest dress standards, making her appear notably underdressed.

"I was deeply moved to visit the Ormylia Foundation and Monastery this week," Guilfoyle said, per the outlet. "I met with their dedicated volunteers, including Abbot Elisaios, Dr. Doumas, Brother Charlie, and the remarkable Reverend Mother Nikodimi and her sisters. Their work healing bodies through the Medical Center's life-saving screenings and nurturing souls through faith is a beautiful example of compassion in action. I am grateful for the partnership between the United States and this extraordinary community."

Nottingham Forest have moved quickly in the market after the collapse of Inter Milan's deal for Anan Khalaili, with TeamTalk reporting that talks are already under way for the Union Saint-Gilloise wide player.
There is a clear opportunity here for Forest. Inter had appeared to be closing in on the 21-year-old after agreeing a package worth €30 million, £25.7m, made up of an initial €25 million, £21.5m, plus €5 million in add-ons. Khalaili had even completed the club's internal medical process. But the move was stopped at the mandatory cardiac screening stage in Italy, where the required certification was not granted.
That development has changed the landscape and Forest have reacted. TeamTalk state that an opening bid of €20 million, £17m, has already been rejected by Union SG, who remain hopeful of receiving a figure much nearer to the guaranteed sum Inter had lined up. Negotiations, though, are ongoing, and that is the significant point.
Khalaili is understood to appeal strongly because of his flexibility. He is comfortable at left-back, wing-back and in more advanced wide areas, which naturally increases his value to a head coach looking for options across several roles.
Forest are said to view him as someone who can strengthen multiple parts of Oliver Glasner's squad. In a market where adaptability often dictates recruitment decisions, that sort of profile is attractive. It also explains why several Premier League clubs had tracked him previously, including Aston Villa, Brighton, Everton and Leeds United.

If Prince Harry has taught ******* ss Meghan anything over the years, it's how to look on the bright side.
The ******* ss of Sussex, who's been married to the British royal for nearly a decade, opened up about the emotional advice that Harry has given her for navigating life's adversities, while attending a screening Tuesday, July 28, for the couple's Girl Scouts documentary, "Cookie Queens."
According to People magazine, Meghan was asked during a Q&A at the event about how she gets through "tough moments," prompting her to recall a pearl of wisdom Harry had previously shared with her in their marriage.
"Funny enough, I was thinking about something my husband told me ages ago, because we all go through experiences and life is full of surprises," Meghan, 44, said, per People. "But you know, he was a helicopter pilot in the British Army for 10 years. And sometimes on really hard days … he said, 'Hey, but my love, you know, even if there's a storm happening, above the storm, the sun's always shining.'"
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot in May 2018 in an ornate ceremony at Windsor Castle in Harry's native United Kingdom. Only the second time a member of the British monarchy has married an American, the union was met with manic fanfare on both sides of the pond.
