Berets have recently become John Travolta's signature look as the Grease star was spotted rocking another one at the Ramones 50th anniversary tribute.
Travolta, 72, took to the stage at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Sunday, August 30, with Linda Ramone — the widow of the late Johnny Ramone — while wearing a red beret, a leather biker jacket, round sunglasses and, naturally, a Ramones tee.
"Two years ago, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Hollywood Forever Johnny Ramone Tribute for the first time. It was a blast, and I want to return again for the Ramones tribute! With showing something new, my directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach. And something old, the 50th anniversary of [the] original Carrie. It is going to be a fun night. When Miss USA 2025 Audrey Eckert accepted her crown, she signed on not only to represent the organization but to represent the entire country.

Last year, Eckert was crowned by the then-reigning Miss Universe ******* leholder Victoria Kjær Theilvig on Oct. 24, 2025. Since then, she has spent the past year traveling the country, representing the organization and the country at appearances as part of her duties as the pageant queen.

For Eckert, who has been competing in pageants since she was nine years old, the win was the realization of a dream for the young ******* leholder. In 2020, she won Miss Nebraska Teen and placed third runner-up at the Miss Teen USA competition in the same year.

During her time as one of the more than 80 women to hold the prestigious Miss USA ******* le, Eckert has attended events like the Oscars, made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, and more.
Speaking with PEOPLE as her reign draws to a close, the current pageant ******* leholder breaks down the lesser-known facets of what it takes to be the leading lady of the national pageant that those unfamiliar with the pageant might not know.

Eckert tells PEOPLE that one thing outsiders might not understand about holding ******* les like Miss USA, Miss Teen USA or even Miss Universe is that the women spend "a lot of time on the road traveling."

While travel days can be long, Eckert says the women are expected to "maintain" their appearances — to always "look the part" of Miss USA.
"You're traveling across the world trying to get workouts in, get your nails done, get your hair done, all those tactical things," she explains. "People don't always think of the logistics of it."

She admits that it can be hard, appearing in back-to-back appearances and travel days, but that she is aware she must always show up as the pageant queen she was elected to be, no matter what.

Hoda Kotb's unusually emotional encounter with a stranger on an airplane did not end when the flight landed. The former Today anchor now says she and the mystery man have recently started texting.
Kotb shared the update during her Aug. 21 return to Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, while immediately cautioning viewers not to read too much into it. "This is not a real love connection," she said before explaining how the story had unexpectedly continued.
The pair first met on a flight and later crossed paths again when Kotb traveled to Cannes for work with her Joy 101 company. She initially thought the connection had faded after that second encounter, but revealed Friday that they have since resumed contact.
When Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones pressed for details, Kotb confirmed that the man is single and described him as "really cute" and "very handsome." She still refused to define what the connection might become, saying, "There are connections. I don't know what it is."
Kotb said the original encounter began simply because she happened to be seated beside the man on a flight, but their conversation became much more personal than either apparently expected. "It was the weirdest connection in the world. We were both crying," she recalled during her Aug. 21 appearance.

Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Cristiano Ronaldo married longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal.
Ronaldo announced the marriage Tuesday on Instagram and Facebook, sharing a photo of his hand resting on top of his wife's with rings on each of their fingers.
The Portuguese striker included a caption with each of their initials and a heart symbol.
A press release stated that the couple tied the knot Tuesday in a civil ceremony in the coastal town, located about 20 miles west of Lisbon. Ronaldo, 41, and Rodriguez, 32, share five children, who attended the ceremony. The couple announced their engagement Aug. 11, 2025.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) and Omnicom announced on June 23 a new collaboration between Omnicom Media and Disney Advertising to implement a connected TV ad solution enabling dynamic sequential storytelling across both video on demand and live programming. The two plan to announce the partnership at Cannes Lions today. The collaboration is already live in the United States and is set to expand to Europe and Latin America later this year. The solution brings together Disney's identity graph, Acxiom's identity capabilities, Omni's measurement platform, and Innovid's creative sequencing technology to "replace repetitive streaming ads with dynamic, personalized storytelling".
In a separate development, The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) and Royal Philips announced on May 28 the incorporation of beloved Disney animated characters and stories directly into Philips Ambient Experience for MRI at medical facilities in 87 countries across the globe to support children undergoing imaging procedures. Management stated that the immersive environment can help children by diverting attention from the clinical setting, creating a more engaging and comforting experience during scans, and helping more children complete their exams successfully.

An 18-year-old in search of her first fancy handbag appears to be one of the biggest business drivers for Tapestry (TPR), owner of Coach and Kate Spade.
"The great news is that 25 million women in the markets where we serve today will turn 18 this year and every year for the next 10 years. So that provides a tremendous opportunity," Tapestry CEO Joanne Crevoiserat told Yahoo Finance at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity on Wednesday.
"Then we have to do the work to understand culture, understand the customer," she added. "An interesting insight is that a Gen Z consumer gives us about 60 seconds when they cross the threshold of a store to determine whether they want to be there. Sixty seconds is all we have to have that customer feel like it's a brand for them."

The Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown have been in plenty of headlines this offseason, and Brown recently called out ESPN's Stephen A. Smith again.
Brown and Smith have been in an ongoing feud all offseason. Smith told Brown to "be quiet" at one point. Brown responded by telling him to get off television. On Wednesday, Brown called ESPN unethical and said Smith was the face of that.
"ESPN is unethical, and Stephen A. Smith is the head face of that," Brown said at Cannes at Sport Beach in a video posted on X on Tuesday. "The organization and players were all in agreement. They all knew what I meant by that. Our team basically salary dumped. We lost a lot of players and for us to emerge and still be in the same position."
Smith responded to Brown's comments on with a long rant on his YouTube channel.

Representatives of Whitney Houston's estate have denied claims Oprah Winfrey recently made about the iconic singer's behaviour at a 2009 interview.
Speaking at a Cannes Lions event earlier this week, the daytime TV icon recalled how the I Will Always Love You star "fell off the stage" during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Winfrey alleged that Houston had relapsed on drugs at the time, and she "begged" the audience not to share details of what had happened with the media.
But in a statement posted to Instagram on Wednesday, executors of Houston's estate confirmed the Greatest Love of All hitmaker "absolutely fell off stage", though denied it was because she was "high".
"From the 2009 interview on the Oprah Winfrey show, Whitney absolutely fell off stage, but it was during a sound check, and it was due to the darkness of the area and her unfamiliarity with the stage. She was absolutely not high," they wrote. "This story was picked up by several media outlets. Like many people, she faced personal battles, but it is inaccurate and unfair to attach that struggle to every performance or every chapter of her life."
The spokesperson went on to insist that Houston fulfilled her "professional" duties that day.

Olivia Wilde will not be silenced again after the media storm surrounding "Don't Worry Darling." The actor-director dispelled rumors that she and Florence Pugh had a screaming match on set in an interview published Wednesday.
Speaking with The Cut, "The Invite" director said she wanted to pursue her press tour differently for her third feature film, taking control of the narrative after feeling misunderstood during the "Don't Worry Darling" rollout.
"I was told, 'Don't say a f–king word. Just go out there and smile,'" Wilde recalled. "I resent that, but it taught me it's not the way I want to handle things."
After its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, "Don't Worry Darling" faced heightened scrutiny, especially after Wilde's relationship with the film's star Harry Styles became public. There was also speculation about Wilde's professionalism on set.
Reports ahead of the film's release said that Pugh had become "fed up with the director's frequent unexplained absences" and that the two women had a blowout argument late into production on the film. Wilde denied all of those allegations Wednesday.
