Callum Turner is revealing a piece of wisdom George Clooney shared with him as he started to become a Hollywood leading man.
"Every time I get to be in a movie and then being able to celebrate a film with everyone here, I always watch the premiere," he told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the Aug. 3 premiere of his new movie "One Night Only" in New York City.
The "Eternity" actor, 36, explained that after he worked with Clooney, 65, on the 2023 film "The Boys in the Boat," they attended multiple premieres together. By the third, Turner decided he would go home after the red carpet before the "Ocean's Eleven" star convinced him to stay.
"He went, 'Why are you leaving?' And I said, 'Well, because I've seen it already, and twice,' and he said, Yeah, but you'll never get this opportunity again,'" Turner explained. "This is the moment to celebrate, and celebrate the work, and the work of everyone on the crew and beyond. I love these moments. They're always pinch-me moments."
Clooney directed the biographical sports drama portraying the true story of the University of Washington rowing team competing for gold at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin at the height of the Great Depression. Turner played Joe Rantz, a strong rower who was abandoned by his father.

It was another day of Seattle Seahawks training camp in Renton, albeit not in the best of conditions. The terrifying and deadly wildfires in Spokane have impacted and will impact the Seattle area throughout the week. Winds have blown the wildfire smoke in a westerly direction, which has decreased the air quality through thick throughout Western Washington on an otherwise very warm Tuesday. With Wednesday's forecast set to be worse in terms of air quality, there is a chance that practice could be held indoors, but we'll see how it goes. As I type this from my hotel room in Renton, the air quality index (AQI) is a moderate 99, but that's borderline unhealthy.

Jamestown, which is the hometown of Lucille Ball, will be abuzz with laughs as the center hosts the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival Aug. 7-9, headlined by Jerry Seinfeld, Bert Kreischer and Seth Meyers.
Gunderson has been the driving force behind the nonprofit National Comedy Center for 15 years. She joined what was then the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum in Jamestown in 2011. In 2018, the organization's footprint expanded to include the National Comedy Center, which is now home to the archives of comedy ***** ans George Carlin, Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks.

The premiere of the Seattle Seahawks edition of 'Hard Knocks' is Tuesday night, and to entice viewers to watch the Super Bowl champs gear up for their next championship run, there's a teaser involving head coach Mike Macdonald and star defensive back Nick Emmanwori that is absolutely fascinating.
While this 97-second clip is generally focused on Emmanwori and his ankle surgery recovery, there's a revealing in the back-end of the video about outside noise. It provides even greater perspective on Macdonald's personality.
"It's like someone talking s—t about you on Twitter," Macdonald said. "It's gonna go away in 15 seconds. Everything will pass. See that note card right there? It says, 'This new hot shot coordinator is terrible.' Rex Ryan.

She didn't try to steal his spotlight – which is no easy feat when you're Dua Lipa – but her custom Ferragamo gown still made its presence felt. The plunging halter neckline, semi-sheer panels, dramatic fringing and low open back delivered plenty of impact while maintaining an understated elegance that felt entirely appropriate for the occasion.
The silhouette had plenty of drama, but it never felt like it overwhelmed the moment. It struck the right balance between supporting her husband's big night and still delivering a memorable fashion moment in her own right.
Usually, black gowns on the red carpet need better lighting to do their details justice. Here, thankfully, the intricate textures and movement created by the fringing are visible enough for us to appreciate the craftsmanship.

How ironic that it would happen during duty for U-23s. In the final friendly match before Bayern Munich's U-23 season premiere, two U-19 talents filled in for those making their debuts for the Bavarians' senior team and duly picked up serious injuries. Bayern's official website has the details:

Maspimby, who came on as a substitute in the second half and made his debut for the Amateurs, suffered a knee injury. Schmid is out for now due to a forearm injury. We wish you both a speedy and full recovery!
Leopold Schmid had risen to prominence in the U-19s following David Santos Daiber's promotion to the U-23s in January 2026 and did an impressive job of filling the hole left behind. He would have hoped to have retained that momentum and perhaps push for a winter promotion to the U-23s of his own. He will need to regain the momentum now.
Thibault Maspimby, in the meantime, was an ever present for the U-17s last season and would have been so for the U-19s this season, as well. Hopefully this knee injury will turn out to be one of the less severe ones.
