"The Los Angeles Rams knew that Miles Garrett had a knee injury, knew that he was working through it, knew that he wasn't in the kind of shape, honestly, that he really needs to be to go out and be the best player in football, which he essentially was last year," Rapoport said on Monday in a video shared on X. "They just sort of felt he could go out, manage it, handle it, and still play at a very high level."

Kraft's new deal, which runs through the 2030 season, includes a $26.5 million signing bonus and its maximum value could reach as high as $92 million. He is now the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.
Both sides have wanted to get a deal done, it was just a matter of whether an agreement could be reached before Week 1 or linger into the season.

The deal includes a $3.5 million base salary.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Kittle will travel to Australia with the team ahead of their matchup with the Rams in Melbourne. Kittle has practiced the last two days and, per the report, is trending in the right direction to play.

That's the word from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and The Athletic's Alec Lewis, whose reports came shortly after the Vikings reportedly signed two of the top-rated preseason interior offensive linemen off waivers.

Mays, who suffered a wrist injury that's set to have him miss "significant" time, according to coach Dan Campbell, will now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the 2026 regular season. The Lions are allowed two players with an "IR-to-return" designation; when a player is given one of these designations, he does not count against the 53-man roster limit.
The move doesn't come as a surprise, but it does add a bit of finality to a situation that seemed somewhat fluid after NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Aug. 10 that the injury could keep him out for "roughly 8-10 weeks."
The reported timeline would give him a chance to return in Weeks 4 through 6, but Mays' addition to the list would allow him to come back in Week 5 at the earliest.

The Seattle Seahawks have put pen to paper. On Saturday afternoon, following their preseason finale with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Seahawks officially signed embattled former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold. This news came via NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
News broke in mid August that Seattle was planning to sign Arnold, who is currently charged with eight felony counts of armed robbery and kidnapping. The signing was delayed as the team was awaiting word of whether or not Arnold would be immediately placed on the commissioner's exempt list. Well, that question became reality, as it was announced a few days later that he would receive that special designation while the NFL conducted its own investigation.
Arnold's status with the league has apparently not deterred the Seahawks in their desire to improve their cornerback room. The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to keep one of their offensive linemen around a little longer. They announced that center Hjalte Froholdt signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the team through 2028.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the two-year extension is worth $20 million.
Froholdt was scheduled to make $4.77 million in salary and was paid a $500,000 roster bonus in March. He was scheduled to count almost $7.0 million against the cap.
We will see what the actual terms for the contract end up being. Some of that reported $20 million will be paid this year in a signing bonus.
Froholdt is on his third two-year deal. He signed a two-year contract 2023. He signed a two-year extension in 2024 to keep him under contract through this coming season, and now he gets another two years beyond this season. That's important, because it also means there's no fifth-year team option on his rookie contract, making 2026 the final season he's bound to Pittsburgh.
The Steelers could opt to let him play out 2026 and recoup a third-round compensatory pick in 2028 should he leave in free agency. They could choose to franchise tag him next spring in hopes of working out an extension. It really seemed like Ashton Jeanty avoided a devastating injury over the weekend. The Las Vegas Raiders running back reportedly couldn't put weight on his leg on Sunday, but reports said it was a sprained ankle.
ESPN's Ian Rapoport provided more details as Mike Washington Jr. could be the RB1 for the Raiders for a bit: The ankle injury is "more low than high" (there would be bigger concern if it was a high ankle sprain) and it's not major.

The New England Patriots made the inevitable decision to trade wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to the Houston Texans on Monday, per NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the full details of the trade include the Texans sending a 2028 seventh-round draft pick and second-year safety Jaylen Reed to New England in exchange for Boutte. Reed has potential as a future defensive contributor, but he was mostly used on special teams by the Texans.
