The San Francisco 49ers are starting their 2026 NFL season overseas with a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia.
It's a long trip, and for the 49ers, there is a real question about whether such a long trip could keep a few of their stars returning from injury on the sidelines.
However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported some good news on Wednesday morning, as the 49ers, leaving on September 2 for their Week 1 matchup in Australia, are bringing along both George Kittle and Nick Bosa.
"The 49ers leave today for their game vs the Rams in Australia, and star TE George Kittle will make the trip after 2 positive days on practice, sources say. Kittle is trending in the right direction to play," Rapoport reports. "DE Nick Bosa, ramping up with his knee, will also make the trip."
