Jonas Brothers are Disney Legends.
They were honored Sunday at the company's biannual fan event, D23, where Disney previews upcoming movies, shows, experiences and products while also honoring its history. Fellow Disney kid Vanessa Hudgens was on hand to do the honors.
After taking the stage, the brothers reflected on their longtime connection to Disney. Joe Jonas revealed that his first word was "Gaston" after repeatedly watching Beauty and the Beast, while Nick Jonas recalled playing Chip in the musical on Broadway.
"To our incredible fans, thank you for letting us be a part of your childhood and growing up alongside you all these years," Nick Jonas said. "You gave three brothers from New Jersey, a life beyond anything we could have imagined. We're so grateful."
In addition to Joe, Nick and Kevin, other Disney Legends honored Sunday included Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

With just 20 days remaining until Maryland football kicks off a pivotal 2026 season against Hampton, Testudo Times is taking an in-depth look at the situations in every position group for the Terps. Keep a lookout for more position previews that'll come out every other day; for now, it's time to talk about perhaps the least debatable starting spot on the roster.
While Maryland football's starting quarterback decision wasn't made until hours before the 2025 season opener, there is no debate this season.
After a standout freshman campaign, Malik Washington announced his plans to remain with the Terps during the offseason. His return was part of Maryland's 71% returning production — the second-highest mark nationally.
However, a wave of quarterbacks departed the program: Justyn Martin transferred to Ohio State, Khristian Martin left for Fresno State and Roman Jensen committed to Shippensburg. Even Jackson Hamilton, son of offensive ******* istant Pep Hamilton, is currently listed as a wide receiver after redshirting last year as a quarterback recruit.
Michael Locksley addressed the position group with three transfers and a three-star commit, but questions remain about the team's depth.

Good luck finding any Big 12 season previews that don't spend 1/3 of their ****** e talking about Brandon Sorsby. That subject has been covered to death, so I'm limiting myself to merely mentioning that he will not be the QB for Texas Tech this season. The gap he leaves creates one of the bigger question marks in a conference. Even with that uncertainty, the Red Raiders will enter the season as favorites to defend their conference championship and make it back to the CFP. Who are the teams best situated to challenge Texas Tech for the conference ****** le and possibly make the Big 12 a two-bid league?
Texas Tech
Texas Tech has arguably adapted to the NIL/Transfer Portal era better than any team in the country, unsavory as it may be. Alum/Benefactor/Oil Tycoon/Slimeball Cody Campbell has given the team one of the top NIL budgets in the country and they have used it to elevate their talent level a clear cut above their in-conference competition. Last year, they last a single conference game, hammered the next two teams consistently over three combined meetings (BYU and Utah), finished in the top 10 in Offensive and Defensive SP+, and made a run to the CFP Quarterfinals. This year, Will Hammond looks like the starting QB, once he fully recovers from a torn ACL suffered early last season. Hammond is unspectacular, but gets the job done. The rest of the roster is loaded. RB Cameron ****** ey might be the biggest star, but the offensive line is probably the best overall unit. Even WR looks great with four big-time transfers coming in. They also took in basically an entire starting-quality defensive lineup through the transfer portal despite having decent returning production. They might not have anyone as dominant as DE David Bailey, but they are incredibly deep with proven players everywhere on the depth chart. Like Miami in the ACC, something would have to go horribly wrong to offset the talent advantage they have over the rest of the conference.
BYU
The Cougars once again fought to retain Kalani Sitake after another season where they performed above expectations. QB Bear Bachmeier was good as a true freshman, which usually means there is room to grow into being a true star. They reloaded their offensive line, including UW tackle prospect Paki Finau, who was blocked on the depth chart in Seattle. There are two question marks related to departures They have to replace their top three receivers from a season ago without obvious backfills. They also lost their DC, Jay Hill, to Michigan. Despite the loss of Hill, the defense returns lots of experience and production, which should ease the transition for promoted LB coach Kelly Poppinga. As is often the case with BYU teams under Sitake, the question will be about the offensive explosiveness. If Bachmeier has the receivers to make enough big plays, it looks like the defense and the running game should support a real contender.

It's the dog days of August in Florida, so there's not exactly a nip in the air yet.
But make no mistake: The start of high school football in the Sunshine State is here.
After a couple of weeks of practice, with kickoff classics arriving soon and the opening week of the Florida High School Athletic **** ociation regular season set for Aug. 21, the Times-Union previews 18 of the can't-miss matchups across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. This list includes at least one game from every week on the schedule.
As a further twist, no team can appear here more than twice, which means some quality contests didn't make the final cut.
All of the games on this list will match teams located either within Jacksonville's city limits or in nearby counties, so several important contests against opponents from outside the area aren't listed here.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - JANUARY 17: Ernest Jones IV #13 of the Seattle Seahawks celebrates an interception during the third quarter against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Playoff game at Lumen Field on January 17, 2026 in Seattle, Washington. (Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images)
It isn't often that one division can boast multiple Super Bowl contenders. Every now and then, two teams present as legitimate threats to win it all. I do not ever remember THREE (caps for emphasis) teams that inarguably are among the favorites to represent the NFC (or AFC for that matter) in the Super Bowl. If one team didn't absolutely stink, we could be discussing this division as the most talented of all time. As it is it's pretty close.
Of course I'm talking about the NFC West. Your defending champion lives here after all. The craziest thing of all is one of the three could miss the playoffs depending on how the rest of the conference performs. Let's get right to it.
Check out my odds and previews here for the NFC South, AFC South, NFC East and AFC East.

Welcome to the 2026 edition of the 30-Day Countdown!!!
Every year we get ready for the new Husky football season by coming out with a daily article that examines the approaching games through a certain lens. Sometimes they're serious, sometimes they're not. But we generally try to get you, the reader, involved with a poll to get a sense for where Husky nation's head is at on that topic.
To start us off, I'm looking at some of the factors that likely aren't being discussed by the national media in their early previews of Washington. Today we'll focus on the positives and some of the reasons why the Huskies may surprise in 2026.
Hidden Returning Starters
Preseason magazines love to look at returning starters as a metric for how much returning experience a team has. That shouldn't be a surprise. Most positions have somewhere between 65-90% of their snaps come from one player so having that starter come back is essential to keeping up continuity.

High school football will soon return, which means it's almost time to kick on those Friday Night Lights.
USA TODAY High School Sports has released its latest class of 2027 football player rankings, which were compiled using composite evaluations from several industry recruiting services. One Cincinnati athlete landed among the nation's top 100 seniors.
Ace Alston, a cornerback at Anderson High School, tied for No. 96 with Quentin Burrell, a wide receiver from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago. Alston, a Notre Dame commit, is listed at 6 feet and 185 pounds. His industry composite ranking is 119.

With high school soccer season just a couple of weeks away, here is the Enquirer's final list of position previews in girls soccer. We have saved the top forwards and goalscorers for last.
And what a list it is.
Greater Cincinnati high school girls soccer fans had much to enjoy as well in 2025, as there is an abundance of players who put up big numbers last season or who will play for major colleges after they graduate. Because of that, limiting to 10 players to spotlight, as we do for other positions, was impossible. So we are listing 16 players to watch.

Among the countless interesting tidbits in an ESPN story shadowing Sean Payton for a week before last season's AFC Championship game was one of Payton's "playoff myths" he shared with the team.
The myth he showed his players was, "We'll Be Back Next Year." Payton followed that by telling the team, "Nothing is promised."
The Denver Broncos had a remarkable season with a weird ending. Not long after the Broncos beat the Buffalo Bills in one of the most thrilling games of last postseason, Payton returned to the podium and shared with the media that Bo Nix had broken his ankle and was out for the rest of the season, including the AFC championship game.
The Broncos battled in that AFC ******* le game against the Patriots with Jarrett Stidham starting at quarterback, but one massive turnover by Stidham and a questionable fourth-down gamble in the first half, along with a blinding snowstorm in the second half, might have cost them a win and a chance to play in the Super Bowl. As Payton told the team before the game, being in that position might not happen again.

There aren't many teams through NFL history who won 14 games and a conference championship.
The list of Super Bowl participants who won 14 games and then were ignored like the New England Patriots were this offseason might be a party of one.
It seems odd. The Patriots had a magnificent season with new coach Mike Vrabel, who won NFL Coach of the Year. Quarterback Drake Maye would have won NFL MVP in his second NFL season had just one voter flipped his or her first-place vote from Matthew Stafford to him. Typically, that profile gets hyped up all offseason as the next in line to win a Super Bowl or two. Instead, the most you've heard about the Patriots this offseason had to do with Vrabel's off-field missteps.
The Patriots being dismissed started late last season, when talk of strength of schedule crept into the conversation in a way it rarely has in NFL circles. It was the third easiest by DVOA since 1978, according to Aaron Schatz of FTN Fantasy, with only the 1991 Bills and 1999 Rams having an easier schedule. The chatter about strength of schedule probably cost Maye the MVP award. It was also probably overdone.

The Kentucky football team is entering a new era in 2026 under coach Will Stein. We're going through the offensive positions, and ranking all 16 teams in the SEC at each position.
As we continue our position group previews of each SEC team and where Kentucky lands amongst their foes, we turn our attention to the offensive line. At all levels of football, but especially the SEC, you have to be strong in the trenches to compete against the top of this conference. Will Stein knows this, which is why he invested a lot of resources to overhaul this offensive line. Kentucky spent big up front to give 27-year-old offensive line coach Cutter Leftwich the talent to revive the big blue wall.
Ryan Silverfield has a ton to overcome in his first season as the Razorbacks head coach, and the offensive line could be the detriment of this offense. He brought Malachi Breland over from Memphis to be his starting left guard, and Bryant Williams the Louisiana transfer to be the starting right tackle. This is an inexperienced group across the board that will have a large task at hand, facing a brutal schedule with multiple game wreckers on the defensive line.
Jeff Lebby brought in a couple of SEC transfers to start at each guard spot, including Arkansas transfer LJ Prudhomme and LSU transfer DJ Chester. Jakheem Shumpert-Perkins and Blake Steen are expected to man the tackle spots. The Bulldogs offense have the firepower to be an explosive offense, but the offensive line will determine their overall ceiling as an offense in 2026.
Auburn's entire starting offensive line this season will be from the transfer portal, a theme of Alex Golesh is bringing guys with him from South Florida to help create continuity. Center Cole Best and right guard Cole Skinner follow Golesh over from the Bulls, and I am hesitant on being confident this plan will work out with the amount of USF players being brought in offensively. Michigan State transfer Stanton Ramil will be the left tackle, and James Madison transfer Jo Simmons will be the right tackle.

Dan Campbell wasn't happy with the Detroit Lions' 2025-26 season, nor should he have been.
He said the Lions underachieved. That's hard to argue after a 9-8 record and no playoff berth. He gave himself "a freaking F" for the job he did last season.
"But I really don't believe we're that far off," Campbell said. "There's a couple of things we can do, and I just want to make sure we go after it. I'm not saying we weren't hungry, but let's get that hunger back, and we're going to bring in some guys to compete."
After a season like the Lions just had, ******* ody wants to hear how they were actually better than their disappointing record. But they were.

The Washington Commanders had a mission this offseason: get "younger and faster." General manager Adam Peters uttered those words in January at Washington's season-ending press conference. Beginning in free agency, Peters followed those words with every move. The end result was a completely revamped defense, especially at edge rusher.
Many of those defensive changes were up front. The Commanders struggled to stop the run and pass last season, got no pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and couldn't force turnovers. They were at or near the bottom in every major defensive statistical category.
In addition to several new defensive starters, the Commanders also have a new defensive coordinator: Daronte Jones. There are plenty of reasons to be excited about Washington's defense, if for no other reason, they can't be any worse.
As we continue with our positional previews, let's look at Washington's defensive line and edge rushers ahead of training camp.

Not content to have Nikola Dzepina as the only player whose last name starts with a Z adjacent to a consonant, Danny Sprinkle added Rutgers transfer Harun Zrno to the roster on Wednesday. Zrno is a 6’7” wing who carved out a regular rotation spot for Rutgers last season, though his shooting percentages were sub-par and he didn’t pile up impressive numbers of rebounds or **** ists. Sprinkle and his staff will need to further develop their new addition to make him more than just a body to fill out the roster.
The Dawgs also announced the addition of one of the coaches who will work with Zrno and company next season. The Huskies hired long-time NBA **** istant Charles Klask to his staff. Klask most recently worked as an **** istant for the Denver Nuggets, and has previously **** isted on the staffs of Rick Carlisle, Doc Rivers, Stan Van Gundy, and others.
Dawgman continued their series of position previews as we count down the days to the start of Fall camp with a profile of the WR room. The biggest question to answer in this group is who will step up to fill the sizeable hole left by Denzel Boston’s departure. There might not be a one-for-one possession receiver to slide in for Boston, but Rashid Williams and several newcomers offer lots of upside.

When C.J. Stroud's historic rookie season was wrapping up, imagining the Houston Texans quickly becoming a Super Bowl contender wasn't a stretch.
The Texans doing it in spite of Stroud is the surprise.
Nobody foresaw the situation the Texans find themselves in going into Stroud's fourth season. Houston has built what might be the best defense in the NFL. Edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. proved to be worth every bit of what the Texans gave up when they traded up to draft him, and Houston is physical and fast at all three levels.
Ask Josh Allen. The Texans abused Allen in a way he had never been before in his career during a 23-19 win over the Bills last season. The defense is stellar. And if Stroud had maintained or improved upon his rookie season level until now, the Texans would almost certainly be the best team in football. That hasn't happened. They weren't even the best team in the AFC South last season.

On Wednesday, July 29, the New Orleans Saints will officially begin 2026 training camp. There have been several new offseason additions to the roster as the Saints look to build off their strong finish to 2025. The most important position, as is usually the case, is at quarterback. Tyler Shough took over as the starter around mid-season and showed why the Saints targeted him in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Surrounded by plenty of new weapons, Shough must now build off his promising rookie campaign. Our Saints training camp previews begin with arguably the most important position in sports.
On the roster: Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, Zach Wilson, Hunter Dekkers
Offseason losses: Jake Haener
Offseason additions: Zach Wilson

It's still hot outside, the kids are still out of school, and fall camp has yet to open. However now that we are in single-digit weeks until the college football season begins, it's about that time of year that the national press starts sucking up to Deion Sanders. Oh yeah. And time we start previewing Alabama Crimson Tide football. We begin with opponent previews.
Due to the buffoonery of the College Football Playoff Committee and the expansion to nine SEC game dockets, Alabama made a decision to cancel an intriguing series with West Virginia in favor of a higher calorie cupcake ECU. The Pirates had a fine season in 2025. However, a closer look shows problems in Greenville.
Coach: Blake Harrell (14–5, 10-3 AAC after a season and a half)
2025 record: 9-4 (6-2 in AAC, 4th in the conference, Military Bowl win over Pitt)
Looking back: Harrell became interim head coach after Mike Houston's firing following week 7 of the 2024 season and finished with a 5-1 record including a bowl win over big brother NC State. Last fall, he led the Pirates to a strong 9-4 season in the competitive AAC and added a second bowl win to his resume.

Jude Bellingham twice dragged England back from the brink as Thomas Tuchel’s side edged past a tenacious Norway to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-final, winning 2-1 after extra time at Miami Stadium.
The game was a quiet affair in the opening stages before Norway seized the initiative. Harry Kane had his pocket picked inside the England half and Schjelderup’s cross-shot from the left flew in off the post to give the Scandinavians the lead just before the hour of the first half.
Jordan Pickford, making a record-breaking 18th World Cup appearance for England, got down to his left to keep out Martin Odegaard‘s low effort as Norway threatened to extend their advantage.
“It’s going to be fun” – Marc Guehi previews Erling Haaland and Norway showdown in World Cup quarter-final
Jude Bellingham had other ideas. The Real Madrid midfielder drew England level in first-half stoppage time, and the two sides remained locked at 1-1 through 90 minutes.

The Los Angeles Angels continue their road trip as they head to face the Minnesota Twins at Target Field for a three-game set, fresh off of a series loss in Texas.
Despite losing two of three against the Rangers, the Angels' offense emerged to be a big bright spot in their last two games. As they are set to face some strong starters in Minnesota, their offense is going to need to maintain its production over the weekend.
Below, you can find the team previews, including where to watch, game details, injury reports, and odds.
TEAM PREVIEWS:
Angels (37-57, 5th in AL West): Los Angeles just narrowly missed out on a chance to earn their first series win in nearly a month on Thursday, but fell by way of a walk-off. However, one trend of their last two games has been an offensive outburst — they have combined to score 19 runs in their last two contests.
