The facility bears interest at an annual rate equal to the greater of 3% or the one-month Secured Overnight Financing Rate, plus 6.15%, payable monthly. The formula sets a 9.15% minimum. Applying that floor to the initial borrowing produces approximately $6.9 million of article-calculated annual interest before commitment, administrative, undrawn-amount, and facility fees.
The financing arrives as Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTLA) prepares for a potential U.S. launch of lonvoguran ziclumeran, or lonvo-z, for hereditary angioedema. Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTLA) held $628.4 million of cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities as of June 30, but reported a $106.6 million second-quarter net loss.
The staged structure gives Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTLA) capital without issuing equity at closing and avoids drawing the full amount before milestones that could support additional debt.
A second $75 million tranche becomes available at the option of Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTLA) if the FDA approves the biologics license application for lonvo-z before a specified date. Three further $40 million tranches depend on lonvo-z revenue targets, while another $30 million requires an equity-fundraising milestone. This links most committed borrowing capacity to regulatory and commercial progress.

Sunday's Apple Cup won't be the only competition the Washington Huskies will be involved in this weekend, as Jedd Fish and his coaching staff are set to host a staggering 41 recruits on unofficial visits. The incoming visitors consist of commits and prospects from the 2027, 2028, and 2029 classes.
While most of the prospects making their way to Montlake are from Washington's traditional recruiting footprint along the West Coast, the Huskies are still looking to extend their footprint across the United States.
Among the 2027 commits who will be in Seattle on Sunday are four-star wide receiver Tre Moore and four-star edge rusher Chaz Gray. Moore is entering his senior year at Pflugerville Weiss High School in Texas, while Gray has starred at St. Joseph Regional in New Jersey. Both players are ranked inside the top 25 in their respective states, according to 247Sports.
Making up a majority of the visiting cast are 2028 prospects. Out of the 26 high school juniors set to visit, 12 are making a cross-country trip. The list includes:

The U.S. Presidents Cup captain selected former college phenom Jackson Koivun, who won the PGA Tour's 3M Open in just his third start as a professional. Koivun will be joined by a trio of U.S. team stalwarts in Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay, as well as Chris Gotterup, who was narrowly on the wrong side of the cutoff for the six automatic selections. Gotterup is one of three rookies added to the team Tuesday, along with Koivun and Jacob Bridgeman.

Happy Sunday Husky fans. Today is the last Sunday without Husky football football happening for the next few months, which means recruiting is kicking into gear again. High school football is also kicking off and several Husky targets saw their seasons start.
Teammates Blake Rospkopf and Zerek Sidney (from Desert Edge) both had solid outings in their first games of their senior seasons against Cactus Shadows. Roskopf had 416 yards through the air with 3 touchdowns and 1 INT. Roskopf, who is set to enroll early and also take part in the Army All American Game, is set to have a big year for Desert Edge this season. Sidney had a solid start to his senior season with 7 receptions for 142 yards and a 2 point conversion. It's nice to see solid production from Sidney who missed time last year with an illness.
The Huskies are hoping they can land their teammate, 5 star edge Jalanie George, in the 2028 class. George, who is set to visit Montlake next weekend for the Apple Cup, had a strong start to his junior campaign with 8 tackles and 2 TFL's. It's still early but the Huskies appear to be one of the favorites for George who is also looking at Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida, and Miami. Listed at 6'5" and around 240 pounds George projects as a future edge and should have the frame and size to play early once he gets to college.
Edge commit Chaz Gray and his St Joseph Regional squad lost their season opening battle against Mt Carmel HS. Gray had a solid outing (I don't have his official stats), and he was disruptive and stout on the edge. Listed at 6'4" and around 250 pounds Gray already has a college frame and the Huskies are excited to bring him on to Montlake in January (it sounds like he will try and make his way to Montlake for the Apple Cup as well). Gray's brother Tahj is one of the top recruits in the 2028 class, and the Huskies are shooting their shot with him to see if they can land the talented linebacker and he is looking at UW seriously with his brother set to be a Husky(there is some stiff competition with Ohio State pushing really hard for him as well). Listed at 6'3" and around 230 pounds Gray is an active linebacker who is rated as the #1 linebacker in the country via his composite ranking.

There isn't an obvious candidate on this Washington team to be a super star national level type of player. But, every college football season a handful of under-the-radar players end up atop the national leaderboards. Washington enters Jedd Fisch's third season in Seattle with a roster that's deeper and more experienced than either of his first two, and among that depth are a handful of players with a shot at topping an FBS statistical leaderboard by December. Here are five Huskies worth watching.
Green might be the safest bet on this list. The graduate transfer punter comes to Montlake after ranking sixth nationally last season with a 47-yard average on 63 punts at San Diego State, including 22 kicks of 50-plus yards. Before that stop, he averaged better than 45 yards a punt across two seasons at Northern Colorado and earned first-team All-Big Sky honors as a true freshman. He's already on the Ray Guy Award preseason watch list. He's 6-foot-4 and 230-pounds with a big leg and if his career averages continue into Big Ten play, he should be in national leader contention.
Roebuck was a true freshman revelation in 2025, finishing second on the team with 42 catches, 554-plus yards and seven touchdowns. He's the one healthy and proven returners among the pass catchers and will be relied upon quite a lot. Roebuck has since moved to a new number and a full-time slot role, the exact alignment most likely to rack up "easy" catches in Fische's scheme. His offenses historically favor the top two receivers with the vast majority of targets, so there should be plenty of chances for Roebuck, who gets open easily anyway. After 42 receptions last season, a leap into the 80-90 catch range isn't far-fetched if he's the number one or two guy from the start.
Williams is possibly the biggest reach on this list. He posted a 161.0 NCAA passer rating in 2025 — 10th nationally — while throwing for just over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns and adding 611 rushing yards and six more scores on the ground. Those are obviously very good numbers, but a good chunk of it came in games against the softer part of Washington's schedule. In Washington's four losses last season (Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, Oregon), his passer rating dropped all the way to 107.8, and he simply hasn't risen to the occasion against that caliber of opponent yet. If Williams can close that gap in 2026 and prove he's just as efficient against Ohio State- and Oregon-caliber defenses as he is against the bottom half of the conference, his baseline efficiency is good enough that a national passing **** le becomes realistic. He's a preseason Davey O'Brien and Maxwell Award watch-list pick and clearly has the ceiling. The question is whether he takes that step against the teams that have given him trouble.
Manu isn't a name without a track record as he's already done this. In 2023 at Arizona, under Jedd Fisch, Manu led the Pac-12 in tackles with 116 to go with 9.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and an intercep

As per tradition, our annual 30 Day Countdown to the season here on UWDP features a few days where we look ahead and try to preview our schedule and the opponents we'll face this season. Today, we'll be looking at the schedule to circle which opponent might have the best offense that we'll face. In my opinion, there's really only a few that stand out from an otherwise middling group of offenses on our 2026 slate.
As a refresher for those who might not have committed our schedule to memory, here's our 2026 opponents:
Generally speaking, our non-conference opponents don't really wow me when it comes to offensive firepower. Wazzu has a solid offensive mind at the helm in Kirby Moore, and transfer QB Caden Pinnick finished last season as one of the top QBs in FCS. However, the Cougs are rebuilding from scratch for the second year in a row under a new staff, and UW's defense made Pinnick a non-factor last year when UC Davis came to Montlake, so it's unlikely that they will be among the best offenses we'll face.
Utah State might be a bit frisky on offense under Bronco Mendenhall and OC Robert Anae. Anae, a long time Mendenhall **** istant across various stops including BYU and Virginia, is a well-respected offensive mind. His offenses often feature dynamic dual threat QBs and a diverse run game that has long-served as an equalizer against more talented opponents, but I'm still not sold on them being among the best overall offenses we'll face.
USC has always been talented, and they've been particularly dangerous on offense under Lincoln Riley. However, this season might be different for the Trojans. Their roster-building strategy took a noticeable shift over the last 18 months, culminating in a 42-man, #1 ranked 2026 class. At first glance, the sheer volume of incoming players stand out, but a deeper dive points to a wholesale shift in how they want to build this roster and why there's so much turnover heading into year 6. The Trojans want to reload the trenches.

A pair of Washington Huskies icons made their way back to Montlake this week, as Jermaine Kearse and Myles Gaskin stopped by fall camp to check out the 2026 edition of Jedd Fisch's program.
Kearse spent Tuesday morning at his old stomping grounds, looking on at the current generation of Husky pass catchers. The Lakewood, Washington native played his college ball for his hometown team from 2008-2011, where he finished his career No. 2 in program history in career receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Following his illustrious college career, Kearse signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent, where he played for five of his seven years in the NFL and helped bring his hometown team its first Super Bowl in franchise history.
From playing his high school ball 45 minutes south of Seattle, to becoming one of the greatest receivers to don the purple and gold, to bringing home a Super Bowl to his home state, Kearse is regarded as a local legend in the Seattle community, and rightfully so.
The following day, running back Myles Gaskin paid a visit to fall camp. The Huskies' all-time leading rusher posed for a picture with Jedd Fisch following Wednesday's practice. In his four years in Seattle, Gaskin put himself in the conversation as the greatest Husky running back of all time, rushing for over 1,000 yards in all four seasons while helping Washington make the College Football Playoff in 2016.

There wasn't a lot of drama along the FedEx Cup bubble during last year's BMW Championship or last week's start to the 2026 FedEx Cup playoffs. But the 2026 BMW Championship leaderboard after Round 2 action on Friday, August 21, is setting up for a potential shake up in the race for the final few spots in next week's Tour Championship.
Strong performances by Gary Woodland, Patrick Cantlay and Michael Thorbjornsen through the opening two rounds at the second FedEx Cup playoff event have positioned them to possibly move inside the top 30 of the FedEx Cup standings after beginning tournament play Thursday on the outside looking in for qualification at East Lake.
Only the top-30 golfers get a spot at the Tour Championship. Last year, only Harry Hall moved from outside the top 30 to qualify for the Tour Championship during the BMW Championship. A Tour Championship berth comes with a two-year PGA Tour exemption. Players in the field this week already locked up spots in 2027 signature events by being inside the top 50.

The Washington Huskies have a lot of promising talent at wide receiver heading into the 2026 season, but the majority of it is unproven, including sophomore Chris Lawson.
After the former four-star recruit's career on Montlake got off to a hot start in the spring of 2025, injuries limited him in the fall, which led to him playing in eight games and tallying 10 catches for 110 yards in his debut campaign before he was sidelined for about half of the workouts in the spring of 2026. Now, fully healthy, Lawson has been making his mark left and right during fall camp.
During Saturday's scrimmage, Lawson compiled 5 catches for an estimated 90 yards, including an impressive 40-yard reception downfield from sophomore Treston Kini McMillan. While working against freshman cornerback Elijah Durr, he made a mid-air adjustment on a slightly underthrown pass to go up and over the defensive back to haul in the pass, as he has become a consistent contributor for the Huskies over the last few days of practice, which has caught the eye of coach Jedd Fisch.
"Chris is getting better and better. It's really making the competition at receiver is really becoming better than it's ever been, also, because you've got Chris, then you've got, and (Dezmen) Roebuck, you've got Rashid playing at a high level, and Christian (Moss), then you got Trez (Davis), and then Mason (James) makes some plays, messing a nice little catch down there, and a couple other plays," Fisch said of his depth of the position on Saturday.
As Washington's young talent continues to shine at the position, even with four-star freshman Jordan Clay sidelined with an injury, Lawson's versatility has continued to set him apart.

In his memoir of life in the tech industry, "Chaos Monkeys," Antonio Garcia Martinez wrote that it's not the rats who first abandon a sinking ship but rather the crew members who know how to swim.
By that measure, Brooks Koepka made like Michael Phelps, presciently jumping overboard early from LIV Golf and stroking his way to safe harbor. Now that the Good Ship Yasir seems doomed for the sea floor — the bullshit that long acted as ballast having shifted to expose the dead weight of washed-up hangers-on — those who remained are left eyeing leaky life rafts.
Just two members of LIV's roster matter, no matter how much its CEO, Scott O'Neil, blathered about the importance of Dean Burmester on the South African stop. They are Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm. The former because every carnival needs a barker, the latter because leagues need credible competitors. While DeChambeau remains welded to LIV, Rahm's tone has been lukewarm and several sources in his orbit are convinced he'll exit soon. He has alternatives, but they're not painless and require accepting conditions that the prideful Spaniard might balk at.
Rahm's obvious first choice for life after LIV would be returning to compete on the PGA Tour. He lives in the U.S., and it's the most lucrative, competitively demanding and commercially relevant circuit. But no one around the Tour thinks Rahm will be offered the terms Koepka accepted, and many believe he'd be asked to pay stiffer financial penalties, accept restricted playing privileges and perhaps even apologize (for what, and to whom, is unclear). How would that sit with a man who went to war with the DP World Tour in Europe over comparatively modest fines?
Koepka chose to leave LIV with time remaining on his contract. Rahm would be leaving by necessity, knowing he won't see all of the cash promised and that the league, if it survives, would do so only because someone wanted to leverage its losses to dodge taxes elsewhere in their investment portfolio. His former peers haven't forgotten that he went to LIV months after the Framework Agreement was announced, willingly becoming leverage for the Saudis, and that he later said (with amusing self-regard) that he felt his leaving would be the catalyst to uniting the game. Rahm thought he could take the bag and return as a hero. No one did more to ensure there'd be no deal between the Tour and the Saudis (with the possible exception of Patrick Cantlay in the boardroom). He chose his side and the guys he left behind were determined to make him live with the decision. Plenty remain so, and are disinclined to roll out the welcome mat too quickly.

For the third consecutive year, a Washington Huskies linebacker has been recognized on the preseason Butkus Award watch list ahead of the 2026 college football season.
Xe'ree Alexander, a senior who joined Jedd Fisch's program last offseason through the transfer portal after one season at Central Florida, was one of 51 players on the annual watch list after fellow senior Buddah Al-Uqdah found himself on the same list in 2025.
The younger brother of former Husky wide receiver Lonyatta "Junior" Alexander made an immediate impact in his first season on Montlake last fall. An Auburn, Washington native, Alexander made five starts and played in all 13 games for first-year defensive coordinator Ryan Walters, and finished second on the team in tackles (70) and tackles for loss (5), both of which are career highs.
Dating back to 2024 with former UW linebacker Carson Bruener, Alexander and Al-Uqdah are the latest preseason honorees while ex-Husky standout Edefuan Ulofoshio played his way into being one of five finalists in 2023 despite not making the preseason watch list.
"I think—not only for X—but I think that speaks to the program and how he runs it," inside linebackers coach Brian Odom said before the start of fall camp when asked about the talented fourth-year linebacker electing to stay with the team despite having other veteran options around him.

WASHINGTON, Aug 14 (Reuters) - A South Florida site backed out of hosting a rally with Democratic U.S. Representative Rashida Tlaib, a vocal critic ‌of Israel's government, after complaints by a Democratic state lawmaker in the ‌party's latest flashpoint over its stance on Israel.
Tlaib, the first Palestinian American member of Congress, was scheduled to appear on Friday at a rally for three candidates in Florida's upcoming Democratic Party primary.
However, The Venue Fort Lauderdale, which was scheduled to host the event, suddenly canceled it after State Representative Michael Gottlieb, chairman of the Florida Legislative Jewish ‌Caucus, posted a statement on ⁠Thursday calling the planned rally an "anti-Jew" gathering.
Tlaib has condemned antisemitism and says criticism of Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories and its ⁠attacks in Gaza and Lebanon is not antisemitic.
The Venue in a statement cited "increased security concerns" for its decision and said it is Jewish-owned and "our values and commitment to the Jewish community are deeply important to us."

"It's weird for one of your best players on defense and leading tackler to also be one of your most improved players," safeties coach Taylor Mays said of senior safety Alex McLaughlin's offseason.
The three-time First Team All-American, who is entering his second year in his role with the Washington Huskies, did not hold back with his praise of the senior following Thursday's practice. McLaughlin, who transferred to Washington ahead of the 2025 season after two standout years at Northern Arizona, will enter his second season at Montlake after earning an All-Big Ten honorable mention last fall.
After leading the Huskies with 94 tackles, McLaughlin has taken a major leap in his abilities as a vocal leader both on and off the field for Ryan Walters' defense.
"I really like where he's at right now," Mays told the media on Thursday.
With fellow safety Makell Esteen and cornerbacks Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock all leaving the program after 2025, McLaughlin has stepped into a leadership role in the secondary as one of its best and most experienced players.

Former Washington Huskies tight end Will Dissly is still searching for a home in the NFL.
With a little extra time on his hands, the 6-foot-4, 265-pound Bozeman, Montana native made a return to Montlake on Friday to take in UW's second practice of fall camp. Dissly, a fourth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2018 NFL draft, made 46 total appearances for the Huskies from 2014-17 with 17 starts as he turned into a productive tight end for Chris Petersen.
Dissly's position coach, Jordan Paopao, remains at Washington as Jedd Fisch's tight ends coach, entering his 12th season as an **** istant coach with the program, having spent nine seasons under Petersen and now three with Fisch after he followed him north from Arizona in 2024.
"This place...Well, one, one of the things that never gets old is when you get a view like this," Paopao said Tuesday as he looked out over Husky Stadium from the UW football offices. "I'm grateful to work here every single day. How do you beat this view, right? Very fortunate to call this place home. I've seen this program in just about every place that you can. From the infancy to being with coach (Steve) Sarkisian and trying to work through, 'Hey, how is it cool again to wear UW gear again? To being with Pete going to a lot of these bowl games."
Under Paopao and Petersen's tutelage, Dissly transitioned from being an under-the-radar defensive lineman out of Montana to being an effective tight end for ex-UW quarterback Jake Browning.

Patrick Cantlay became the fifth player to withdraw from this week's Wyndham Championship since the field was announced at the traditional PGA Tour Friday deadline.
Cantlay tied for eighth Sunday at the Rocket Classic, his fourth top 10 and ninth top 25 of the 2026 season. Another day at the Rocket Classic, and there's another course record — and another new leader.
Rasmus Hojgaard got the putter cooking early in the third round Saturday and jumped to the top of the leaderboard, before the final group even teed off at Detroit Golf Club.
Hojgaard, 25, from Denmark, tied the course record of 61, matched Friday by Peter Malnati and Saturday by Cameron Young. Jake Knapp set the course record with a 61 in 2025, when the course was a par-72. It's now a par-70.
Hojgaard is looking for his first PGA Tour win. He's won five times on the DP World Tour, most recently in 2024.
Hojgaard was at 12 under par after three rounds, two shots ahead of 36-hole leaders Young, Patrick Cantlay and Patrick Fishburn, who had yet to tee off before Hojgaard finished his round. Also teeing off this afternoon is Rasmus' twin brother, Nicolai Hojgaard, who was at 8 under through two rounds.

One of the most important things that the Washington Huskies will have to do during fall camp ahead of the 2026 season is to figure out how they're going to replace the loss of wide receiver Denzel Boston to the NFL draft.
The second-round pick of the Cleveland Browns posted 62 catches for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns during his final year on Montlake and was an imposing presence on opposing defenses. Now, as quarterback Demond Williams Jr. searches for a new primary target, sophomore Dezmen Roebuck appears to be the most likely to step into the spotlight.
After bursting onto the scene in 2025 and putting together a Freshman All-America campaign, with 42 catches for 560 yards and 7 touchdowns, Roebuck has moved into the slot, where he could see a massive increase in targets from his chemistry with Williams.
"Not a lot of people know this, but growing up, we actually played on the same team," Roebuck said during his freshman year. "I think it was fifth, sixth grade. We played on the same team for a couple tournaments, and I've always known him. We played against each other in 7-on-7 and everything, and once I got up here, we already had a good connection, even though we hadn't played on the same team in a couple of years."
As for his move to the slot, after showing off dependable hands, some shiftiness after the catch, and no fear over the middle of the field, Roebuck believes it's a great fit for him.

Hundreds of fans stood silent at the third hole of Detroit Golf Club as the sun baked down on the morning's most-watched golfer.
Cameron Young stepped into the box, shuffled his legs four times and raised his driver into his trademark pause before bombing a ball down the fairway.
"It just sounds different coming from him," a spectator said.
After comparatively struggling through his first round, going 1-under on Thursday, Young dominated the second round of the 2026 Rocket Classic on Friday, July 31, at Detroit Golf Club.
He went 9-under for the day, tying the course record of 61 (the second golfer in as many days to do so), and finished at 10-under in a tie for first at the end of the morning session with Patrick Cantlay, who shot a 4-under in the second round.

“This is my Super Bowl MVP trophy. Joe Flacco was instrumental in the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII win. He threw for 287 yards and three touchdown passes. All three of those scores came in the first half alone, giving the Ravens a 21-6 lead over the San Francisco 49ers. Four years after Flacco tried and failed to take the Ravens over the line, he’d finally done it.

As coach Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies look to fill the massive void left in the frontcourt by the departure of Hannes Steinbach for the NBA draft, one of his most promising options has yet to play his first game in purple and gold.
After transferring to the shores of Montlake from Frank Phillips College, where he was ranked as the No. 3 junior college prospect in the nation by 247Sports after averaging 13.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, Traore suffered a torn tendon and was forced to sit out his entire first season in Seattle. Now, after the Huskies had to overhaul their entire roster again, he could prove to be a key piece of the rotation moving forward.
During his time at Frank Phillips, Traore also displayed the ability to bring the ball up the floor at times, while shooting 53.4 percent from the floor and 76.4 percent at the free throw line, which led to some high praise from coach Danny Sprinkle regarding his athleticism.
"He's probably the best athlete on our team," Sprinkle said ahead of the 2025-26 season. "When you're talking about just running and jumping, he's a freak. And he's all of 6-foot-11 and long, he's going to be a really good player here."
With big men Lathan Sommerville and Nikola Dzepina back in the fold, professional additions Wini Braga and Boris Tisma, from Brazil and Croatia, respectively, along with Texas Tech transfer LeJuan Watts, the Huskies have plenty of bodies in the frontcourt, and Traore's ability to rebound and stretch the floor could give Sprinkle a much-needed boost in the Big Ten.

Patrick Cantlay made a little noise in an otherwise quiet year for the American with five birdies in 10 holes and then a collection of tough par saves at the end that felt just as valuable. He also was at 65, along with Tom Kim and Bernd Wiesberger.
Brooks Koepka was among those one shot behind.
Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world, was among those playing in the afternoon on a glorious summer day along the Firth of Forth.
McIlroy holed an 18-foot eagle putt on the par-5 first hole — he started his round on No. 10 — to go along with a pair of birdies on the other two par 5s at The Renaissance Club. That made his round and his scorecard feel a little better.
