Sarah Pidgeon, who is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette at the Emmys this evening, attended the BAFTA TV Tea Party held at The Maybourne Beverly Hills on Sunday.
Christopher Polk/Deadline via Getty Images
If you were worried that Sarah's awards season run was going to be a succession of black dresses, fear not, because she switched gears in a Givenchy Pre-Fall 2026 oxblood leather dress.
There is considerably more going on here than we've seen from Sarah on the red carpet recently. The folded, asymmetric neckline gives the leather some shape and interest, while the oxblood colour is a welcome change of pace.
For me, this is the kind of look that makes Sarah's style more interesting. The black dresses have served her well and become something of a signature, but I'm hoping this is an indication of what she could give us as awards season gathers pace.

Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey's planned reunion will no longer happen after their exits from a new project. The two stars previously appeared together in the blockbuster Wicked franchise, playing Glinda and Prince Fiyero Tigelaar, respectively.
The London revival of the popular musical Sunday in the Park With George has been canceled following Grande and Bailey's exits, according to Variety. The planned 2027 production will no longer proceed as previously thought.
"Empire Street Productions will retain the rights with a view to presenting the production in 2028. Further details will be announced in due course."
The revival was set to take place at London's Barbican Centre next summer. Ariana Grande was supposed to play both Dot and Marie. Bailey was set to star opposite her as George Seurat.
Moving forward, Ariana Grande will be busy with her upcoming The Eternal Sunshine Tour. She will also appear on the big screen in a new movie. The 33-year-old will feature alongside Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller in the comedy Focker-In-Law. It's set to hit theaters on November 25, 2026. Despite her plans to take a break, Grande will appear in the promotional events for the movie.

Over the last decade and change, The Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown into a behemoth franchise that spans both movies and TV shows that air with a Disney+ subscription. Fans who have watched the Marvel movies in order have seen how Tom Holland got a reputation for accidentally spoiling movies, often going viral in the process. But how does the 30 year-old actor feel about this perception?
Holland is a beloved part of the MCU, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day beating out even Avengers: Endgame's box office haul. But aside from his A+ performances as Peter Parker, he's also known for repeatedly spoiling movies, despite Marvel's tight security. In a video from the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Odyssey actor was asked about how folks are constantly dunking on him about spoilers, responding with:
There's part of me that loves it. My dad's a comedian. So having thick skin and growing up with people taking the mick out of you is like part of our upbringing, you know? My love language, I think, is taking the ****** out of me. I just love it.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is one of the most anticipated upcoming book-to-screen adaptations on the 2026 movie schedule, and the press tour is already off to a great start thanks to Mckenna Grace. She plays one of the District 12 tributes alongside Joseph Zada's Haymitch Abernathy; however, in real life she's serving all the fashion looks better than the Capitol can.
The 20-year-old is set to play Maysilee Donner, who is the first tribute to wear the Mockingjay pin. Check out all these Hunger Games looks she's donned lately as the movie's press tour kicks off:
Move over, Katniss, there's a new Girl on Fire! The actress shared four amazing looks on her Instagram. The first one is a flirty sheer blue mini-dress. I especially love the floral socks and pointy heels to pair with it. Grace also wore another dress in a shade of baby blue that featured ruffles and a cute black bow in the front. The third dress is a white mini dress with bows down the middle and lace detailing at the top. And the last one is a simple black dress with a zipper in the front and knee-high tights.

The stars weren't out in the night sky just yet Saturday at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium, but there were some sightings on the sidelines.
In one of the biggest Texas football games of the season against Ohio State, celebrities, politicians and Texas Exes came to Austin and were spotted throughout the sidelines. Earlier in the day, ESPN "College GameDay" featured Sen. Ted Cruz, who was booed by the Longhorn faithful and Austin native; movie star Glen Powell as the guest picker on the show.

Of course, other Austin celebrities were out and about - what is a night game at DKR without Longhorn superfan Matthew McConaughey. He also brought out his friend and "True Detective" co-star Woody Harrelson who was seen chatting with athletic director Chris Del Conte. Gov. Greg Abbott was there, too.
Then there were the sports legends of the school in attendance. Former men's basketball player and current Houston Rocket Kevin Durant was seen throwing crisp spirals and chatting with former football head coach Mack Brown. Former running back Ricky Williams and quarterback Colt McCoy were also spotted as well as former Texas volleyball player Madisen Skinner.

SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazilian presidential candidate Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro is under investigation for corruption, money laundering and tax evasion for receiving millions of dollars from a disgraced banker to finance a movie about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro.
Brazil's top court unsealed several documents late Thursday that show Sen. Bolsonaro, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's primary opponent, is under investigation for receiving 61 million reais ($12 million) from a banker at the center of a corruption scandal to produce an unreleased movie ******* led "The Dark Horse."
The investigation, which centers on whether the Bolsonaro family misused the funds and whether the payments were properly reported to Brazilian authorities, threatens to undermine Sen. Bolsonaro's bid for the presidency. The first round of elections is slated for Oct. 4, and the senator is locked in a tight race with Lula.
The banker, Daniel Vorcaro, who was arrested in March, is accused of defrauding many of Banco Master's 800,000 clients, including several state government pension funds, out of hundreds of millions of dollars by convincing them to make questionable investments. The scandal has engulfed several high-ranking officials in Brazil.
The allegations first became public in May. Sen. Bolsonaro has denied any wrongdoing and said Friday during a campaign event in the Amazonian city of Manaus that he was seeking private investment for the movie.

Art imitates life imitates...
In summer 2026, word started to spread that the movie star at the center of Rachel Cusk's new novel, Life of M, appeared to draw heavily from the life and career of Natalie Portman, who had previously met Cusk, praised her writing, and promoted her work through her book club. While Cusk has resisted confirming the connection and Portman herself has not publicly addressed it, sources close to the actress have denied that she had any involvement in the book. Life of M is hardly the first time a seemingly fictional character has closely resembled a real-world figure.
Still, as Cusk recently put it to The New York Times, while skirting the question of M's real-life parallels: "Famous people enter the public imagination... it is part of fame's deal, and part of its tragedy."
Here are nine instances in which a celebrity has seen themselves reflected in a fictional character — and weighed in. Many of them didn't bother holding back.

Henry Winkler is "still working on his perspective" about his relationship with Tom Hanks.
Winkler, 80, gained notoriety for playing Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on Happy Days, and first crossed paths with Hanks when the now-70-year-old actor landed a guest star role in a 1982 episode of the sitcom.
Hanks went on to star in movies and the pair briefly reunited in 1989 when Winkler signed on to direct Turner & Hooch, only to leave the project soon after due to on-set disagreements.
In September 2026, Winkler talked about his experience working on the movie and his ongoing tension with Hanks on In Depth With Graham Bensinger.
He explained that he worked with Hanks "before he was a movie star," but hinted that he wasn't sure what went wrong with their relationship, as years later, the actor did not seem interested in reuniting.

Michelle Pfeiffer may be one of the most famous actresses in the world, but she's not afraid to go bare-faced on social media.
The beloved actress, 68, whose first starring film role was in Grease 2, rose to fame in legendary films like Scarface and Dangerous Liaisons. She later became a household name as Catwoman in Batman Returns. In recent years, she's earned tremendous acclaim as First Lady Betty Ford in The First Lady, and recently starred in the Amazon Prime Video Christmas movie Oh. What. Fun. Now dominating the networks with both Margo's Got Money Troubles and The Madison, the star is reigning supreme in Hollywood.
Despite her international fame, Pfeiffer manages to stay humble. Unlike many Hollywood queens, she has no hesitation to go makeup-free on social media. Looking bare-faced and beautiful in a fun selfie from pottery class, the film icon went completely natural without a stitch of makeup. AND she managed to successfully make something!

Harry Potter is a magical series with countless fans, and every installment has won over both audiences and critics. However, a recent comment from The Matrix creator Lilly Wachowski could upset fans, as she suggested that fans of the Harry Potter movies written by J.K. Rowling are part of a bigger problem.
Recently, The Matrix creator Lilly Wachowski spoke with Variety about her new studio, and during the interview, she criticized J.K. Rowling over the new HBO Harry Potter series.
Wachowski said, "She is funding trans genocide. J.K. Rowling funds trans genocide, full stop. So, if you support "Harry Potter," you're supporting trans genocide."
"The money that goes into you enjoying these products, a portion of that money goes to J.K. Rowling and that money goes into her funding anti-trans legislation all over the world." She added
During the interview, Lily Wachowski did not hold back while criticizing J.K. Rowling. Before calling her fans part of a bigger problem, the Cloud Atlas star also called the British author a ***** and compared her to Elon Musk, though not in a positive way.

Sandra Bullock has been taking a break from acting in recent years, but she's back to promote her movie on the 2026 release schedule, Practical Magic 2. And wow, am I realizing how much I missed her. Exhibit A: Her hilariously relatable rant about chin hairs.
Man, did I forget how real the actress can be, and then the Practical Magic 2 press tour came along. Bullock is just one of those celebrities that I want to be best friends with. As if I didn't already love her for calling herself "Zendaya's shoe polisher", just check out Sandra Bullock's thoughts on the topic of chin hairs:
This is a very important subject. My sister and I have an agreement. Should any of us be in a coma, the other one has to come to the hospital and always pluck the chin hair. Do you know what I mean? You're on it all the time, you're like, 'Oh, I got this thing.' But, you're still alive and awake. When that's no longer available what's going to grow without permission? Get the sister. That's why sisterhood is important.

Shanna Moakler is head over heels in love. Since reconnecting with soap star Greg Vaughan three years ago, they've been fully embracing this second chance.
The ****** o Foxi founder shared new details about her relationship with Vaughan in a new interview, including the profound words she said to him when they crossed paths again. Both Moakler and Vaughan have been married before, but would she consider getting married again if it were to Vaughan?
"Oh my God, yes. I want to marry Greg so bad," Moakler told Jana Kramer on iHeartRadio's I Do, Part 2 podcast.
Moakler couldn't help but gush over the Beyond the Gates star. "He's my good old boy, my Southern gentleman. He's everything," she raved.
The couple first met as models in Miami. At the time, Moakler had just graduated from high school. She told Kramer that they started dating in Miami, but it fizzled out when they ended up on opposite coasts. They were brought back into each other's lives when they starred in the 1997 movie Poison Ivy: The New Seduction.

They were brought back into each other's lives when they starred in the 1997 movie Poison Ivy: The New Seduction.

Actor Zac Efron grew up before our eyes, becoming a household name thanks to starring in the High School Musical movies (which are streaming with a Disney+ subscription). But in recent years his younger brother Dylan Efron has also become a celebrity, largely thanks to winning The Traitors Season 3 and showing off his fitness on Dancing with the Stars. Zac's own fitness is the stuff of legend, and recently his trainer posted a photo showing off his huge bicep. Naturally, Dylan took to social media to drop his own very buff photo dump.
Dylan Efron's star power has been steadily growing in recent years. After The Traitors (streaming with a Peacock subscription), he also competed on Dancing with The Stars. Not one to be left of out of thirsty discourse, Efron posted on Instagram, including some shirtless pictures on a boat. Check it out for yourself below:
Holy abs. I guess there's a reason why Dylan Efron was nominated for ******* iest Man Alive, because he's looking absolutely ripped. And who doesn't love a little healthy competition between two famous brothers? We'll just have to wait and see if Zac posts his own set of ab-oriented photos in response.

Mariska Hargitay is hosting the 78th Emmy Awards, and she's already won big ahead of the televised ceremony. She nabbed two Emmys for directing and producing My Mom Jayne, a biopic about her late mother, Jayne Mansfield. Since the movie came out, the Law & Order: SVU star has received support from her family, who posed with her on the red carpets at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and 2026 Tribeca Film Festival.
Now that she's taking up hosting duties, Hargitay is sure to be cheered on by her husband, Peter Hermann, and their three kids. The 62-year-old actress has spoken often about being a parent. "The thing that's made me a better parent is my kids," Hargitay told People in 2018. "Because they taught me to really listen. My husband is my North Star, and my kids are my teachers." Get all the facts about August, Amaya, and Andrew Hermann below.

Almost two years after marrying Hermann, whom Hargitay met on the set of Law & Order: SVU, they welcomed their first child together. August was born on June 28, 2006, when the actress was 42. A few months later, Hargitay won her first Emmy.
Now 20 years old, August has been spotted visiting the Law & Order: SVU set in New York City as recently as Season 27. He's been photographed with his mother at various outings, from red carpets to New York Knicks games to the US Open.

Michael Burry is no stranger to controversial market calls. The hedge fund manager and founder of Scion Capital cemented his place in Wall Street history by predicting the subprime lending market crash in 2008. His high-stakes bet earned him $100 million, while his investors banked $725 million. The events were immortalized in the movie The Big Short, and Burry still turns heads with his headline-making calls.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
The legendary investor's most recent target has been artificial intelligence (AI) and, more specifically, Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA). Burry takes issue with the industry's estimates of the useful life of semiconductors used in AI, believing they are too long.
However, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang just put a nail in Burry's bear case.

Pierce Brosnan turned the MobLand red carpet into a family affair on Thursday as he stepped out alongside his handsome youngest son, Paris Brosnan.
The 73-year-old actor and Paris, 25, looked remarkably alike as they posed together at the London premiere of the second season of Pierce's hit Paramount+ series.
Pierce looked every inch the former James Bond in an immaculate charcoal pinstripe double-breasted suit, teamed with a crisp white shirt and patterned black tie.

Paris opted for a more relaxed look, pairing brown corduroy trousers with a simple white T-shirt and vintage-style brown leather jacket. With his dark hair swept away from his face, the model and artist appeared to have inherited his father's movie-star good looks.

Let's just get this out of the way: Mark Wahlberg is as A-list as it gets. He broke out in 1997's "Boogie Nights," and in the nearly three decades since, he's built one of the highest-wattage careers in Hollywood: two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe nod for "The Fighter," multiple Emmy nominations as a producer (HBO's "Entourage" among them), and a filmography that spans crime dramas, comedies, and action blockbusters. Right now, he's back on screen in "By Any Means," a manhunt thriller set during the 1966 Mississippi civil rights killings.
He's also signaling where he's increasingly turning his attention. Wahlberg will sit down with Bruce K. Lee, Founder and CEO of Keebeck Wealth Management, on the main stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 to talk about his own progression. Grab your ticket here so you don't miss a moment of this session and Disrupt 2026. Ticket prices increase on September 25.
His acting career is really just part of the picture. Over the past two decades, Wahlberg has built a production company, a restaurant chain, apparel and fitness ventures, a slate of angel investments, and the now 25-year-old Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, which supports inner-city kids and teens. He's used his Hollywood success to launch big projects well outside the movie business — and in a fireside chat at this year's Disrupt, he's going to give us a peek into how.
Wahlberg, who's leaned almost entirely on entrepreneurial instinct about people, culture, products, and markets, is now someone who's been building institutional-level investing discipline, with Lee as his guide, and with a growing focus on healthcare and wellness startups. It's a rare, unvarnished look at how someone with Wahlberg's cultural intelligence has worked his way into some of the most sophisticated rooms in business and finance.

Viola Davis has been ranked the most fabulous Gen X actress in Hollywood, but the acclaimed performer says there was once "no evidence of greatness" in her life. The 61-year-old landed the No. 1 position on AARP's Movies for Grownups list of the 25 Most Fabulous Gen X Actresses.
Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz and Drew Barrymore completed the top five, while other major names such as Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, Cate Blanchett and Salma Hayek also earned spots. For Davis, the honor reflects a journey that began in poverty and eventually led her to some of the most celebrated roles of her generation.
ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA
Davis spoke candidly to AARP's Movies for Grownups about growing up as one of six children in condemned apartments. The actress has previously discussed searching through garbage cans for food and living in rat-infested homes.
"I grew up in abject poverty," she told the publication. "There was no evidence of greatness in my life. So I had to have magic … I had to dare to ask the big, big question: 'What if, Viola? What if there's something out there for you?'"

Jennifer Lawrence has finally joined Instagram – but not before issuing a warning.
Despite being one of the biggest movie stars working today, Lawrence has gone without much presence on social media in the decade-plus of her career. That changed when she went live on Wednesday night with her new Instagram – under the jlaw tag since jenniferlawrence was already taken.
She posted a video on Thursday explaining the choice but also warning her followers if things took a turn for the toxic she'd be gone.
"So yeah, I am giving it a shot and if anyone says anything negative I will quit immediately, no questions asked," Lawrence said in her first post to the feed. "If anyone thinks something mean, I will know and I will quit."
"The Hunger Games" star doubled down on her threat. An all-text story post followed her initial video asking that her followers "be mindful" and keep things positive. Because it would be harmful if things trended into the negative.

Oscar Isaac plays a man whose marriage is falling apart in Beef Season 2, and it earned him a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie ahead of the 2026 Emmy Awards. But what's the latest on the 47-year-old actor's real-life marriage?
Isaac and his wife, Elvira Lind, have been each other's dates to awards ceremonies for years. In fact, they made their first public appearance as a couple at the 2016 Golden Globes, where Isaac won a trophy for his role in Show Me a Hero. Over the past decade, Isaac has shared updates about his relationship. Keep reading for all the facts about the actor's wife, whether he has kids, and more.
Lind is a 45-year-old film director from Copenhagen, though she and Isaac are currently based in New York. Per her website, she went to film school in Cape Town in 2006 before launching a career in filmmaking. She primarily makes documentaries, though Lind and Isaac have worked together on some fiction projects, including Lind's Oscar-nominated short film The Letter Room.
She wrote a message "to [her] talented husband" after The Letter Room was made. "Thank you for letting me put you in a fat suit during a Summer heat wave," says her June 2020 Instagram post. That same year, Lind and Isaac started their own production company, Mad Gene Media.
She continued, "Thank you for trusting me to direct you while I was 7 months pregnant. I know that wasn't always easy. Thank you for encouraging me and showing up and doing absolute magic like you always do. And thank you for growing the most impressive moustache I have ever seen. You are the funniest man I know. I love you more than any words can explain on social media. I am very happy we got to make this together – (and stayed married after)."

Sandra Bullock is opening up about one of her biggest roles yet: parenting teenagers. As she promotes Practical Magic 2, the actress has offered a refreshingly honest look at protecting family time, ignoring one-size-fits-all parenting advice and even finding a way to include her children in her latest movie.
Bullock, 62, is mom to teenagers Louis, 16, and Laila, 13, and says their schedules now play a major role in the projects she accepts. Rather than expecting her children to fit around Hollywood, she chooses work that allows her to be available when they need her.
The actress has previously been clear about where her priorities lie. "I'm not going to sacrifice my time with my kids," Bullock said while discussing why Practical Magic 2 was able to happen. That approach can become increasingly important as children get older. Teenagers may want more independence, but they still need parents who are present and available when life gets complicated.
Bullock also isn't pretending she has all the answers when it comes to raising teenagers. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she joked about how difficult it is to offer universal parenting advice when every child is different.
When asked what advice she would give other parents, Bullock's response was simply, "I'm sorry," before explaining that her children are both completely unique.

It's a family affair!
Zac Efron and Dylan Efron have never been shy to show off their ripped bodies whenever they go on vacation together and their recent boat getaway is certainly no exception.
In a new Instagram carousel posted by Dylan Efron, the handsome reality star poses shirtless next to his older brother as they take in the views on the water. Although Zac Efron might not be wearing his signature Baywatch Speedo while on the family vacay, the duo looks like they're having the time of their lives as summer comes to a close.
Throughout the post, fans can also see Dylan Efron golfing, spending time with his dog, and even ordering food in a drive-through at In-N-Out. The brothers definitely deserve some relaxation time as Dylan Efron had his breakout year in 2025 after winning season 3 of The Traitors and making it all the way to the finals on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars.
Zac Efron, on the other hand, has quite a busy schedule with quite a few acting gigs lined up for the future. He's going to star in and executive produce a highly anticipated Angel Heart series, which is slated to drop next year or in 2028. In terms of movies, the actor will star in the psychological thriller Famous and the comedy film Judgment Day, with both scheduled to drop later this year.

Henry Winkler is opening up about his decades-long feud with Tom Hanks, admitting he is still processing what went wrong while leaving the door open for a potential reconciliation.
Speaking on "In Depth With Graham Bensinger," the Emmy-winning actor revisited the turning point in their relationship: his high-profile firing as director of the 1989 comedy "Turner & Hooch," which starred Hanks, now 70.
Winkler recalled that he felt unsuited to direct the movie from the start but accepted the job after a Paramount executive handpicked him. His overzealousness and early insecurity quickly backfired once he got on set.
"I went completely against my tummy, and it hit me in the face with a 2-by-4," Winkler said. "I now meet the puppies, and I meet with Tom [Hanks] ... and I, at that time being insecure, I talked too much and I gave them direction. I [did] what I thought was my job, and I wanted to do it over again and apparently that p**ed them off."
The job lasted less than two weeks. Studio executive Jeffrey Katzenberg called Winkler into his office to tell him his work was not showing up in the daily footage.

Jennifer Lawrence has done a lot in her career so far. She's been nominated for four Academy Awards (winning one), she's bared it all in movies without a double and survived some very public wardrobe malfunctions. One thing she's never done, however, is make a post on Instagram — until now! Lawrence has joined the wild world of social media, but it's not exactly a move she's confident about. In fact, she threatens to "quit immediately" in her first post, and fans have the best reactions.
Social media can be an unkind place, to put it lightly, and that's why many celebrities like Billie Eilish have bailed. Jennifer Lawrence decided to dip her toes in the water, sharing this hilarious warning as her very IG first post:
I love that she's just so matter-of-fact about it. I'm not too optimistic about Jennifer Lawrence's chances of keeping trolls out of her Instagram comments, but that's a problem for another day. In case she follows through on her threat and the video disappears, here is what J-Law said:

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick celebrated 38 years of marriage without a red carpet or crowded party. Their anniversary weekend involved a canoe, a quiet lake and a pun Sedgwick was probably never going to let pass.
Sedgwick shared two photographs from the outing on September 9, five days after the couple's anniversary. She and Bacon sat together in a canoe wearing plaid overshirts, with Sedgwick in a baseball cap and Bacon in sunglasses. "Perfect anniversary weekend. ❤️ Canoe believe it's been 38 years?!" she wrote in the post.
Bacon had marked the actual anniversary on September 4 with a photograph from nearly 20 years earlier. The image showed the couple dressed for the 2006 Primetime Emmy Awards and sitting close together in the back of a car. His caption was even shorter: "38 years with my love."
Bacon and Sedgwick married on September 4, 1988, after falling in love while working together on Lemon Sky. Their latest anniversary also comes during another stretch of professional collaboration, with the couple now sharing directing duties on a movie starring their two adult children.
Sedgwick's September 9 post showed how the couple spent at least part of their anniversary weekend. PEOPLE reported that both wore plaid overshirts while sitting together on the water, with one photograph showing Sedgwick smiling toward Bacon from the other end of the canoe.
