In an Aug. 9 TikTok video, Riddle, 29, opened up about the experience, which she claimed happened with someone she considered to be a "close friend."

"It was late, we were drinking on a balcony, he went inside to grab more drinks and I watched through the window as he poured a powder into my drink," Riddle recalled, adding that the moment felt like a "shocking betrayal."

Bad weather in the area forced the Chicago Bears inside the Walter Payton Center for practice today, so, for the second time this year, fans were sent home. My advice for fans traveling a long way for practice: have a backup plan. Don't just drive in for a 90ish-minute practice that may get canceled if it's raining. Camp is an enjoyable experience, and the Bears have several vendors and events lined up to make it a fun, family-friendly time, but last-minute cancellations are always a possibility.
As for the on-field action at today's practice, would you believe that multiple beat reporters praised second-year linebacker Ruben Hyppolite? 1) "Nice day for Ruben Hyppolite out there. He made a few really nice plays, including getting into the backfield." 2) "Ruben Hyppolite had his best practice of camp. Very active on defense." 3) "Made some plays. Sniffed out a screen to Loveland, made the tackle." But we also had this: "Ruben Hyppolite times fast but struggled covering Cole Kmet on routes."
The Bear Report's Zack Pearson shared, "Mixed day for the offense overall. Big play ended practice as Tyson Bagent hit Kaden Davis for a long touchdown. The WR made a nice catch in coverage. Good ball." He also wrote, "Early in practice, Caleb Williams found Jahdae Walker deep for a 61-yard touchdown. The very next play, Case Keenum hit Kaden Davis for a 60-yard touchdown. A lot of that was YAC." He also shared that corner Tyrique Stevenson, who was dinged up yesterday, was back and picked off Caleb in a drill.

The 22-year-old Swiss star, who uses a lion's roar celebration, will be in the spotlight at the European championships when she's expected to line up against Keely Hodgkinson and Femke Broeders-Bol in the highly anticipated women's 800 meters.
Britain's Hodgkinson is the reigning Olympic champion and Dutch star Broeders-Bol has impressed in her first year in the 800 after switching from the 400-meter hurdles. Meanwhile, Werro in late June ran the third-fastest women's time ever: 1 minute, 53.80 seconds.
The women's 800 world record of 1:53:28 was set in 1983 by Jarmila Kratochvilova.
"The goal is to win the medal," Werro said Sunday at a press conference at Alexander Stadium ahead of the seven-day European championships. "I don't know if the race will be fast or it will be a tactical race. I don't have the world record now in my head."

The problem, though, is the suggestion that you can expect stock market returns of 20% annually. The stock market has averaged annual returns of close to 10% over many decades, not 20%. There are some years with massive gains, and some with sharp drops. But overall, expectations should be tempered.

Daniel Cormier and many others in the MMA community were not pleased with Billy Ray Goff's corner after his TKO loss to Ty Miller at UFC Fight Night 284.
After Goff (9-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) got battered for two rounds by Miller, there was reluctance to start the third round of the welterweight bout at Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Goff's corner sent him out, and almost immediately he got smashed with a huge punch by Miller (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) that sent him flying back to the cage and folded into the canvas at the 0:15 mark of Round 3.
UFC Hall of Famer Cormier, who served as color commentators, immediately threw criticism at Goff's corner.
"You could see his orbital bone is broken – look at his eye," Cormier said on the broadcast. "Look at his right eye. And then when he got hit on the right eye he went down. The coach told him, 'Don't engage, just circle' and essentially run. Why not just stop the fight? ... The writing was on the wall, especially if that's the advice you're giving your guy going into the third round."
Many others in the MMA community agreed with Cormier's take on the result.

Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell, after weeks of in-patient care following a fall in mid-June, announced via a statement on Thursday that he has been discharged from a rehabilitation center and will continue his recovery at home.
"Earlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home," McConnell said in a statement. "Elaine and I are grateful for the many well wishes and support from friends, colleagues, and Kentuckians, and for the attentive care I've received from excellent doctors, nurses, therapists, and hospital staff."
"On the advice of my doctors, I'll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home during the state work period, and I'll continue to engage with my staff and colleagues on important Senate business," McConnell added.

As the IndyCar Series enters its closing stretch, Team Penske veteran Scott McLaughlin believes the key to aiding teammate David Malukas in his championship pursuit against points leader Alex Palou comes down to flawless execution and a collective team effort.
Malukas currently sits 83 points behind four-time and reigning series champion Palou in the overall standings, facing his first true ******* le fight in IndyCar. Drawing on his own championship experience, McLaughlin's advice is simple: ignore the points and focus on execution.

Luke Kuechly, at 35, became the second-youngest Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee ever on Saturday. Only Gale Sayers, who was enshrined in 1977 at 34, was younger.
Kuechly earned a bust in Canton in his second year of eligibility after playing only eight seasons.
His 14-minute speech remembered those who helped get him to Canton and the life lessons football taught him.
"This game teaches you a lot if you're willing to observe and listen," Kuechly said. "It's taught me resilience, consistency, toughness, the value of communication, how to find common ground, and most importantly, how to enjoy it along the way, because often times the best moments are the ones you are in. Ron Rivera used to beat that into our head and say, 'Be where your feet are.' Well, he didn't just mean be where your feet are when you're at the Super Bowl, playing with and against incredible players. He meant, be where your feet are all the time, and that's been great advice.
"The joy football gave me didn't come from any particular win. It came from competing, from studying, from practicing and from preparing, and joy came from the people I was with. I think about the bus rides, the plane flights, being with each other at Wofford College during training camp. You've never seen guys so happy to have a night off and eat pizza with their buddies.

Newcastle United chief executive David Hopkinson has insisted the club's long-term project under the Public Investment Fund (PIF) ownership remains fully backed by the Saudi group, dismissing suggestions that ambition has faded behind the scenes following a disastrous last season and a turbulent summer of high-profile departures.
Speaking to The Athletic, Hopkinson rejected the idea that Newcastle's rebuild signals a retreat under PIF, saying the owners are driving what he has repeatedly described as "Newcastle 2.0."
"Not only is PIF committed to Newcastle 2.0, they demand it," Hopkinson said. "The ambition I've articulated has been generated in concert with the owners. I refer to the owners there because it's not exclusively PIF, but also the Reuben family."

The Green Bay Packers have one of the NFL's best quarterbacks in Jordan Love. A lot of people just haven't noticed yet.
That's the case Fox Sports' Henry McKenna laid out in a feature on the Packers signal-caller, arguing Love is badly underrated despite counting stats that don't jump off the page.
The disconnect is the whole story. Love's touchdown totals and yardage have dropped, but by the numbers that measure how well a quarterback actually plays, he's never been better.
McKenna's advice is to throw the counting stats out the window, and the advanced metrics explain why.
In 2025, Love's EPA per dropback tied for second in the NFL at .19, even with reigning MVP Matthew Stafford, per Next Gen Stats. His completion percentage over expected ranked fourth. His big-time throw rate of 5.8% was fifth-highest in the league, per Pro Football Focus.

Ryan Day worked under Urban Meyer for four seasons -- including three as a full-time ****** istant. After taking over as the head coach at Ohio State, he took those lessons and the mentorship of Meyer with him. But recently, he's leaning on a key piece of advice when replacing members of his coaching staff.
Day has had to replace his offensive coordinator in each of the last three seasons, and that coincided this year with losing one of the top recruiters on his roster: Brian Hartline. Hartline, who served as Ohio State's offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach last season, left to take the head coaching position with USF this offseason.
So what did Day do? He remembered what Meyer told him years ago.
"When you're at Ohio State you get to go hire the best," Ryan Day said on The Pat McAfee Show. "I remember one of my first recruiting meetings, I was the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator and Urban Meyer was the head coach here. And we walked in, and the recruit and the family says, 'Well, we really like coach Day, but what happens if he leaves?' I thought coach was going to say, 'He's going to be here for a long time, you don't need to worry about that.' He just said, 'We'll just go get the next best guy out there.'"
Day went out and added Cortez Hankton as the wide receivers coach and Arthur Smith as the OC.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson received a well-deserved contract extension on Tuesday, signing a three-year, $75 million deal including $51 million in guaranteed money. Robinson is now the NFL's highest-paid running back, but he isn't taking it for granted.
The former top-10 pick has been an ideal teammate both on and off of the field. Plus, Robinson's combination versatility and durability over his first three NFL seasons have made him one of the most consistent players in all of football.
Robinson said he heard from several people upon signing his new contract, including movie star Matthew McConaughey and former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith. While McConaughey will draw the most headlines, his relationship with Robinson has been well documented for many years.

CHICAGO – Alessio Milivojevic confidently strode across the stage and sat down on the dais, snappily dressed in a dark-colored pinstripe suit that blended into the black table cloth and microphone in front of him.
Any nervousness that he showed last fall as a redshirt freshman who was thrust into the Michigan State football quarterback job also faded with every answer to every question at Big Ten media day. He knows now he is the starter and face of the program going into Pat Fitzgerald's first season, and Milivojevic's comfort at the podium came from advice he got recently from his new coach.
"I think it's just being yourself at the end of the day," Milivojevic said last week. "I'm just coming up here talking as if I was talking to one of my best friends right now."
As the Spartans prepare to open preseason camp on Thursday, Aug. 6, Milivojevic and his 104 teammates will spend the next month building their bonds inside the walls of Case Hall. That's where they will be living when they are not across Chestnut Road at the football complex working toward Fitzgerald's debut game against Toledo on Friday night, Sept. 4, across Shaw Lane at Spartan Stadium.
Fitzgerald, a former All-American and College Football Hall of Fame linebacker who spent 17 seasons as head coach at his alma mater Northwestern, flashed back to his days in high school and college. He brought back the tradition of putting the Spartans in the dorms for camp because of the friendships and connections he cultivated as a player and watched as a coach before being dubiously dispatched by Northwestern before the 2023 season.

The bar to be in the top-five is really high, and it'll take one of these fringe Round 1 RBs to accumulate enough pass-game work to pair with a very strong goal-line role. Walker is my favorite roll of the dice, especially on Yahoo, where his ADP is well into Round 2.
The Chiefs paid him handsomely after a Super Bowl MVP with the Seahawks, and that was their only skill position change of the offseason, one that featured their top receiver going to jail and their top tight end going on honeymoons with the most famous woman in the world. Walker will be the focal point of the offense as Patrick Mahomes comes back from a torn ACL. When head coach Andy Reid had quality backs, he turned them into fantasy football league-winners. Duce Staley, Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, Kareem Hunt, etc. Walker could match what Shady McCoy did in his final three seasons with Reid: a 1,825 scrimmage-yard pace. I'd also argue this is the best OL that Walker will run behind, so his explosive play rate could jump another tier.

At the time, I joined the automotive parts and accessories team, since that was one of the focus categories then. Juno Temple has revealed that she's married her boyfriend Michal Szymanski.
During TFI Unplugged's Ted Lasso special, the British actress and her co-stars Hannah Waddingham, Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt were asked what had happened in their lives in the three-year gap between seasons three and four.
The star, who plays PR guru Keeley Jones in the show, revealed that she got married to Michal, whom she met when he worked as a driver on the set of Ted Lasso.
"I got married. We met on season two of Ted Lasso. He was my driver," she shared.
Her co-star and close friend Hannah revealed that Juno asked for her advice on dating the Polish actor.
"She said, 'Can I ask him on a date?' I was like, 'Yes, you can, he's gorgeous,'" Hannah recalled.

Elena Khoziaeva's story is basically a masterclass in staying somewhere because it's actually good. Khoziaeva, CFA, shared her journey from Belarus to a Houston master's degree, from walking into Bridgeway in 1998 as partner number six to 25-plus years later as the Co-CIO of a firm now running roughly $5 billion on the latest Behind the Ticker episode with host Brad Roth, founder and CIO of Thor Funds. What makes Bridgeway drastically different than your average shop was baked in from the very beginning of the firm. It gives away half its profits to a foundation fighting genocide, caps pay so no partner earns more than 7x the lowest-paid employee, and runs on a research culture where being wrong in a meeting isn't a career risk but half the point. Khoziaeva calls the approach systematic rather than quantitative, but it all comes down to trusting the process, being open to arguments internally to shape better strategies, and not getting defensive when the model's wrong.
Then there's BSVO, the EA Bridgeway Omni Small-Cap Value ETF, one of the more interesting products in a crowded category. It's got a real 15-year track record (born as a mutual fund in 2010, wrapped as an ETF in 2023), holds roughly 600 names instead of the usual sub-200, and deliberately goes smaller and cheaper than the Russell 2000 Value benchmark, with an average market cap under $3 billion. CLEVELAND — All-Star starting pitcher Foster Griffin is scheduled to make his Guardians debut on Thursday, Aug. 6, against the New York Mets at Progressive Field, manager Stephen Vogt said.
The Guardians acquired the left-handed Griffin from the Washington Nationals shortly before the MLB trade deadline on Monday, Aug. 3. In return, Cleveland sent pitchers Will Dion, Josh Hartle, Kendeglys Virguez and outfielder Nick Mitchell to Washington.
"The year he's having, All-Star, one of the best starters in the game, and to add him with our group of starters that we already have and to work with [catchers Austin Hedges and Patrick Bailey] and our pitching coaches, [my advice to him is] keep doing what you've been doing all year," Vogt said of Griffin. "I know you got a different uniform on, but keep pitching. I'm excited to watch him pitch. I've never really seen him pitch a whole lot, so it's going to be fun."

Danny Silva isn't sure what his future holds inside or out of the cage.
The UFC featherweight was simply going through his usual training routine, but knew something was wrong. Silva (11-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) said he decided to push through as he often does, but things quickly became more concerning when he discovered swelling on his neck and chest.
According to Silva, a friend told him to go to the emergency room to get checked out. Heeding that advice may have saved Silva's life. Multiple blood clots and a pulmonary embolism were discovered. Silva said his hospital stay lasted three days, and although he's home now, there are still questions to be answered.
It was just a few months ago at UFC Fight Night 270 in London when Silva last competed. He faced Kurtis Campbell and won that fight by TKO in the second round to pull off an upset and bounce back from the first loss of his UFC run. While he didn't have another fight on the books just yet, now he wonders when, if ever, that may come – but he says he will keep fighting to continue his career.

We've reached the point in the offseason where the rumors are more speculation about what will happen as we get closer to the start of training camp — or once camp opens — than they are about things that might happen in the near future. With that framing in mind, here are the latest rumors flying around the NBA — and some advice from Chris Bosh to Victor Wembanyama.
The problem is pretty straightforward: The Dallas Mavericks have 16 players under guaranteed contracts but can only carry 15 into the season. Someone has to be traded or waived.
Klay Thompson and his $17.5 million contract are at the forefront of that, reports Christian Clark of The Athletic.
The Mavericks have explored his trade market but have yet to find a deal, multiple sources with rival teams told The Athletic on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss any potential negotiations... My understanding is that Thompson would welcome a return to Los Angeles, where he spent part of his childhood and still owns a home. The Miami Heat are another team frequently mentioned in NBA circles as a potential landing spot for the future Hall of Famer."
Los Angeles? The Lakers are an unlikely landing spot, unless the Mavericks want two years of Jarred Vanderbilt plus another contract (Dalton Knecht?), but the Lakers have 16 guaranteed contracts on the roster and are hard-capped at the first apron, so they can't take on a lot of salary. The Clippers remain in limbo until the Kawhi Leonard/Aspiration investigation comes to its eventual conclusion — which may well be into the start of the season, or even 2027 — and the fit isn't great anyway.

Chris Bosh said that he "almost dropped dead" from a blood clot in January and urged Victor Wembanyama to stay on top of his.
The Basketball Hall of Famer whose NBA career was cut short due to blood clots made the revelation in an interview with Hoops Hype that was published Monday.
"I had an episode in January," Bosh told Hoops Hype. "I almost dropped dead pretty much and came back to life. I'm not joking.
"Yeah. I had another pulmonary embolism. It was in January. Yeah, yeah, this past year. I was in the hospital for a week. But, take your medicine. So, I'm taking my medicine every day, taking care of myself every day, and watching it. So, I mean, no symptoms came either, you know, so."
Bosh also offered advice for Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs star whose 2024-25 NBA season was cut short due to a blood clot.
