The Indiana Fever defeated the Seattle Storm 105-95 on Tuesday night in the first night of regular-season action for the WNBA after the All-Star break. However, instead of the Fever's three-game winning streak entering the game, a lot of the coverage surrounding the Fever was on comments reserve guard Sophie Cunningham made regarding transgender athletes.
"I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I'm like, 'I never once said that,'" Cunningham said via a profile on her published by ESPN. "I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men."
Cunningham's words became a hot-topic issue, with people weighing in from all over the media, intense debates being had online, and even rallies being planned.
After the game, WNBA reporter Roberta Rodrigues, who rebuked Cunningham's comments and the rally tied to them on social media, asked head coach Stephanie White, who is married to journalist Lisa Salters, about the situation.
"Coach, there was a rally before the game, an anti-trans rally before the game, inspired by Sophie Cunningham," Rodrigues started. "As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, how did you receive her comments and the way it ignited the right-wing and anti-trans supporters? The Ransom Canyon actress and Imagine Dragons frontman attended the sold-out outdoor screening of Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands on Saturday, July 25.
They coordinated in white tops and jeans before settling onto the cemetery lawn for the movie. Photographs from the event showed Reynolds sitting close to Kelly with his arm around her as they relaxed on a blanket.
Kelly and Reynolds previously attended Cinespia's May screening of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Their return placed them alongside Rose Byrne, Rachel Bloom and married actors Liza Colón-Zayas and David Zayas.

It has already been a few weeks since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got married inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. The wedding was a star-studded affair, with some of the biggest names in sports and music in attendance, and some of those who were there are now talking about the experience.
One of those in attendance was play-by-play announcer Joe Buck, who revealed that Kelce was very emotional and in tears the moment his bride, Swift, walked down the aisle.
"Their vows were long, they were really well-written, they were funny, they were sweet, they were emotional, and Travis was a puddle watching his nieces come down the ramp and when she (Taylor) walked out, he was a puddle," Buck said on Starkville podcast.
Buck noted that there was a very real wedding atmosphere going on, saying that "it felt like they were really getting married" and not just a "ceremonial thing."

Zendaya and Tom Holland are making the most of married life as they travel the world promoting their latest projects, and a source exclusively tells In Touch that the newlyweds are turning the press tour into an extended honeymoon.
According to the source, the couple has been squeezing in romantic dinners and sightseeing between stops for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey.
"They've been all over the world together the last month, and they still have more stops to go," the source says. "Everywhere they go, it's the absolute best of the best, it would cost them hundreds of thousands to do this sort of trip on their own dime."
While the source says that work "does take priority" for Zendaya, 29, and Holland, 30, whenever they get a free moment, "they're out enjoying the best restaurants and going incognito to enjoy the sights."
The source continues, "They're completely wrapped up in each other and still very much in that honeymoon phase, so everything they do right now feels extra special."

The lawsuit against actor Malcolm Jamal-Warner's mother should serve as a reminder to everyone to update estate plans and other documents regularly, lawyers say.
On July 20, Tenisha Delilah Warner, "The Cosby Show" star's widow, filed a lawsuit against the actor's mother, Pamela Warner, claiming she's owed more than $1.2 million under a premarital agreement.
The agreement included a $1 million life insurance policy that was never put in place by her late husband, $16,000 tax-free each year on their wedding anniversary, Roth IRA funding for as long as they remained married, and $5,000 monthly for serving as his chief of staff and ****** istant. The actor died in July 2025, and his mother is successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust.
The revocable Warner Family Trust left nothing to the Emmy-nominated actor's widow or his 9-year-old daughter because it was established in 1996 and never updated to reflect his new family, the widow said. The couple met in 2015 and married in 2017, the same year their daughter was born.
The trust leaves 70% of Malcolm-Jamal Warner's ****** ets to his mother, 15% to his late father, Robert Warner Jr., and 15% to his half-sister Collage, according to a legal petition Tenisha Warner filed. "This was not Malcolm's intent," she said.

The decision by the 6'2.5, 187-pounder comes a little more than a month after he committed to Texas over Alabama and Texas A&M, but a more important development happened this month when the UIL denied Meredith's eligibility appeal.
After Meredith's mother got married last fall, they moved in with his stepfather as the talented cornerback switched schools from Euless Trinity to North Crowley, a decision that was ultimately deemed an athletic move by Euless Trinity and upheld by the UIL.
And although initially speculation centered around Meredith spending his senior season at IMG Academy in Florida, he was able to complete enough credits to reclassify and enroll at Texas for the 2026 season.

Chadwick Boseman's brothers want his widow removed as the administrator of his estate.
The Black Panther star died in 2020, aged 43, after a four-year battle with colon cancer. He was survived by his wife, Simone Ledward-Boseman.
Now, the actor's brothers, Kevin and Derrick Boseman, have filed a petition with a Los Angeles court to remove Ledward as the administrator of his estate, claiming she hasn't properly distributed his **** ets and hasn't given his parents what they are entitled to.
"She (Ledward) continues to exercise complete control over his estate without input from Leroy and Carolyn (Boseman's parents)," according to the petition, obtained by People magazine.
Boseman's parents, Leroy and Carolyn, are supposedly entitled to 25% of Chadwick's estate. The filing states that Ledward is entitled to 50% because Chadwick died without a will six days after they married in 2020.
The family allegedly issued a Final Order in 2022 directing Ledward to distribute estate **** ets. Kevin and Derrick claim in the petition that Ledward "continues to exert unilateral control over Decedent's estate, denying Decedent's family long overdue closure or participation in decision-making regarding matters affecting Leroy and Carolyn's interests in Decedent's estate."
