Wall Street's 64% EPS growth forecast puts NVDA on track for $851 billion in annual net income by 2029, shattering Aramco's all-time corporate profit record.
Jensen Huang says the entire supply chain is running flat out, backed by a $2 trillion cloud backlog and $1.3 trillion in projected 2027 hyperscaler capex.
Just released. Our ******* ysts combed the entire stock market and named the ten best stocks to buy right now, and NVIDIA made the cut. Enter your email to see the other nine names and why NVDA earned its spot. The report is free. Enter your email and see the full list.
$851 billion. That is the approximate annual net income NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) would generate three years out if Wall Street's forecast of a 64% compounded EPS growth rate plays through, applied to a trailing-12-month base of roughly $193 billion in net income and $7.91 in TTM diluted EPS. For context, Saudi Aramco holds the record for the largest annual profit any company has ever reported, at $161.1 billion in 2022. This is a projection based on ******* yst compounding ******* umptions rather than issued company guidance.
The projected walk is stepwise: Year 1 EPS $13.0 (about $316 billion in net income), Year 2 $21.3 (about $519 billion), and Year 3 $34.9 (about $851 billion). Back into revenue at NVIDIA's current profitability profile and Year 3 sales land near $1.35 trillion, roughly 4 to 4.5 times the current trailing-12-month revenue of about $303 billion.

Matt LaFleur's win percentage puts him in elite company. His 65.4% mark is tied for 16th all time. It's better than Bill Belichick's career mark of 64.7%.
But maybe that's not good enough for Green Bay Packers fans.
There were questions late last season if LaFleur was coaching for his job. As the Packers faltered following Micah Parsons' injury, speculation grew. That ultimately didn't matter. Despite the Packers losing their last five games, including two blown leads to the Chicago Bears, LaFleur signed a multi-year extension in January.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
Still, if the Packers fail to make the playoffs this season, would LaFleur be on the hot seat? The fact that it's even a topic says something about the lack of patience in the NFL.

Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli took a breathtaking victory in an incident-packed Italian Grand Prix from 19th place on the grid.
The Italian caught and passed his team-mate George Russell, who started second, with three laps to go to extend his championship lead to 66 points.
Antonelli's performance is the second furthest back a driver has ever come from to win a grand prix after John Watson's victory from 22nd on the grid in the 1983 United States Grand Prix West.
It was a statement performance from the 20-year-old, who remarkably was on Russell's tail and challenging for victory within 16 laps of the start.
Antonelli looked capable of winning any which way, but decided to stop for fresh tyres under a virtual safety car mid-race and narrowed a 15-second gap to nothing before carving past Russell.

DUBAI, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Iran said it will step up efforts to tackle problems created by the U.S. sanctions that are crippling its economy, while a senior Iranian official warned of a "painful response" if it comes under further attack.
Six months after U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran, the war appears to be at a stalemate. A preliminary ceasefire accord ‌reached in June has unravelled and little progress has been made in diplomatic efforts to get the peace process back on track.
After a pause in military action for much of ‌August, ******* -for-tat strikes have resumed with U.S. Central Command saying it hit three Iranian tankers on Saturday after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy ships.
Following the attacks, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that the U.S. should understand that the rules of the game in the war against Iran have changed "before it is too late".
"From now on, any attack against Iran's interests and security will receive a faster, heavier and more painful response," he said in a speech published on his Telegram channel.

Kimi Antonelli showed why he appears to be Formula One's champion-elect as he became the first Italian since Ludovico Scarfiotti 60 years ago to win his home race, despite starting 19th.
Antonelli, who elected to take a grid penalty at Monza for taking a new engine, spent the entire race hunting down Mercedes team mate George Russell, finally passing the Briton on lap 50 of 53.
Antonelli benefited from an early red flag after Charles Leclerc smashed into the barriers at Parabolica on what was an awful day for Ferrari.
Antonelli also took advantage of a mid-race virtual safety car to switch tyres when Russell stayed out in the lead.

Citi and ANZ have raised their Brent crude oil price forecasts as disruptions to Middle East supplies continue to affect the global oil market.
Citi increased its third-quarter 2026 Brent forecast to $86 per barrel. The bank described the current situation, including a U.S. blockade of Iran and reduced oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, as unsustainable.
Citi expects renewed dealmaking or other developments to allow the Strait of Hormuz to reopen during the fourth quarter. The bank estimates that reopening the waterway would result in an oil-market surplus of between 3 million and 4 million barrels per day, compared with its previous estimate of approximately 2 million barrels per day.
ANZ separately raised its short-term Brent crude forecast to $95 per barrel.
The bank said the oil market is entering what it described as a delicate adaptation phase as inventories decline. ANZ expects additional demand destruction will be required to rebuild inventories.

It was a script that not even the most optimistic Italian fans could have written. Taking a grid penalty that relegated him to the back row of the grid, championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli appeared to be strictly on a damage-limitation run. Instead, the 20-year-old Mercedes prodigy delivered the drive of his life, executing a massive number of overtakes to carve through the entire field and secure a sensational victory at the 2026 Italian Grand Prix.
With the breathtaking win, Antonelli became the first Italian driver to win at Monza since Ludovico Scarfiotti achieved the feat for Ferrari exactly 60 years ago in 1966.
Antonelli's path to the top step of the podium required slicing past 18 different cars on track, systematically hunting down the leaders before a late Virtual Safety Car gave him the tire advantage he needed to pass his teammate, George Russell.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of the historic victory, the young Italian was visibly overwhelmed by the scale of his achievement. When asked if he ever imagined he could go from 19th to becoming the first Italian to win the race in six decades, Antonelli was almost speechless.
"And yeah, unbelievable. Unbelievable," Antonelli admitted. "I'm so happy, and I could have never imagined to be here today, but you know, we managed to pull it off, and I'm really, really happy."

Despite leading twice against Everton at the Hill ***** inson Stadium, the spoils were ultimately shared between Manchester United and the hosts.
Michael Carrick's men have now lost, won and drawn in their opening three Premier League fixtures.
Indeed, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko's best efforts were not enough for the Red Devils to head back to Manchester with all three points in the bag.
United were holding on to their 2-1 lead from the 88th minute, when Benjamin Sesko headed home from a stellar Luke Shaw cross, until the sixth minute of injury time.
That was when scrappy play inside the area resulted in Ainsley Maitland-Niles capitalising on a loose ball outside the box and firing a long-range strike past Senne Lammens.

Dell Technologies (DELL) just posted another monster beat-and-raise quarter that saw DELL stock jump more than 15% on Sept. 1 and almost 5% in the following session. But as delighted as Dell investors are, Micron Technology (MU) investors should be equally ready to celebrate. The quarterly numbers validate Micron's growth trajectory, and it shows there is little let up in sight.
Dell reported record fiscal second-quarter revenue of $47 billion, up 58% from a year earlier. Non-GAAP earnings came in at $7.04 per share, crushing Wall Street's estimate of roughly $4.72 per share. Even better, Dell raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast by $25 billion to $192 billion and lifted its non-GAAP EPS outlook for fiscal 2027 to $25.50.

For the vast majority of the 2026 Italian Grand Prix, George Russell appeared completely in control of his own destiny. After pulling off a sharp opening-lap move on pole-sitter Pierre Gasly and surviving the Lap 3 red flag triggered by Charles Leclerc's crash, the Mercedes driver looked poised to convert his front-row start into a commanding victory at the Temple of Speed.
Instead, a critical strategic gamble under a late Virtual Safety Car completely upended the race, leaving Russell defenseless on fading rubber while his teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli charged from the back of the grid to **** the win.
Mercedes opted for an extreme tire management strategy with Russell, keeping him out on a single set of hard compound tires following the early race stoppage. But when a late Virtual Safety Car period neutralized the field, the Silver Arrows pit wall was forced to make a high-stakes tactical call: preserve track position or pit for fresher, faster rubber.
While Russell remained out on track to protect the race lead, Antonelli and Red Bull's Max Verstappen both dove into the pits for fresh tires. The stark difference in grip proved decisive in the final laps, as Antonelli rapidly eliminated the gap and swept past Russell to claim an astonishing victory from 19th on the grid.
Speaking post-race, Russell admitted he never expected the team to bring Antonelli in.

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday been dealt a potential blow on the personnel front. This comes owing to developments in the Blaugrana's latest outing on the domestic front.
Hansi Flick's troops are currently locked in action at Mestalla, in a league meeting with Valencia. Barca headed into proceedings with sights on a fourth win from four to open the campaign, aware that as much would see them open an early advantage over arch rivals Real Madrid atop the table.
And as things stand, this is precisely what the evening's visitors find themselves headed towards. Owing to goals on the part of Lamine Yamal and Fermín López, Barcelona are in possession of a deserved 2-0 advantage.
As alluded to above, though, across an otherwise positive outing to date for the reigning Spanish champions, one source of concern was forthcoming on the personnel front.
Following a bizarre set-piece sequence which saw Rodri collide head-first with teammate Eric García, the latter was left grounded and bleeding from his nose.

On August 5, Primerica (NYSE:PRI) reported second-quarter results that read as two different companies bolted together. Net income climbed 13% to $202 million, and earnings per diluted share jumped 19% to $6.45, pushing return on stockholders' equity to 32.1%. Total revenue reached $865 million, up 9% from a year earlier. But those headline figures obscure a split story. The investment arm is sprinting to record highs while the life insurance sales force is quietly getting smaller. Here is what is actually moving the numbers.
Investment and savings product sales hit a record $4.4 billion in the quarter, up 23% from a year ago, while client ****** et values ended the period at an all-time high of $140 billion, up 16%. Net inflows added another $397 million. That growth translated directly into profit. ISP segment revenue rose 21% to $361 million, and pretax income jumped 31% to $104 million, meaning the segment's margin expanded even as it grew. The reason: ****** et-based commission revenue climbed 28%, outpacing the 19% rise in average client ****** ets, thanks to a shift toward higher-margin US managed accounts and Canadian mutual funds.
Primerica also returned $172 million to shareholders in the quarter through $135 million in buybacks and roughly $37 million in dividends, bringing year-to-date capital returns to $352 million. Its effective tax rate improved to 21.7% from 23.9% a year earlier, and its life insurer's statutory risk-based capital ratio stood at approximately 440%, a cushion most insurers would envy.
The company's distribution engine tells a rougher story. The life-licensed sales force fell 3% year over year to 148,612 representatives. Recruiting rose 2% to 82,346 recruits, but far fewer of them actually got licensed: new life-licensed representatives dropped 15% to 11,020. That gap between recruiting and licensing shows up directly in output. The company issued 78,904 life insurance policies, down 12%, with total face amount issued falling 8% to $27.7 billion.
Term Life revenue was roughly flat at $444 million even as adjusted direct premiums rose 3%, and segment pretax income fell 4% to $148 million. Part of that came from cost creep rather than claims: the benefits and claims ratio held steady at 57.9%, but the insurance expense ratio rose to 8.4% from 7.6% a year earlier, eating into a segment that is supposed to be Primerica's stable, predictable cash generator.

On September 4, Bruker (NASDAQ:BRKR) said its energy and supercon technologies unit, Bruker Energy & Supercon Technologies (or BEST), had struck a supply collaboration with Luvata Materials & Solutions to scale up production of RRP superconductors for magnetic confinement fusion. The deal lands right as governments and private developers from Europe to South Korea race to build fusion demonstration plants, and it comes a month after Bruker's core scientific instruments business showed its first real signs of stabilizing. Two very different stories are converging inside one stock.
The Luvata tie-up is not Bruker's first rodeo in fusion. BEST and Luvata previously supplied materials and expertise to ITER, the international fusion megaproject, and to the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator, two of the most advanced superconducting plasma facilities ever built. Their RRP superconductors, wires built with the Rod-Restack Process to withstand field strengths between 12 and 20 Tesla, already run inside CERN's Large Hadron Collider and in ultra-high field NMR magnets. That track record matters now because fusion programs are ramping across Europe, the Americas, China, **** an and South Korea, and Gauss Fusion has already begun evaluating RRP superconductors for its Gauss Industrial Demonstrator and GIGA power plant platform.
The segment is already delivering. On August 4, Bruker reported that BEST revenue climbed 11.9% year over year to $74.2 million in the second quarter, with organic growth of 8.9% net of intercompany eliminations, while first-half BEST revenue rose 12.3% to $141 million. That growth showed up in Bruker's bottom line too. Non-GAAP operating margin expanded to 14.1% from 9% a year earlier, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share grew to $0.49 from $0.32, results strong enough that management kept its full-year non-GAAP EPS growth target of 15% to 17% intact.
None of that shows up on a GAAP basis. Bruker's second-quarter GAAP operating results swung to a $65.3 million loss, versus $11.9 million of GAAP operating income a year earlier, dragged down largely by a $134.9 million non-cash goodwill charge. GAAP diluted earnings per share swung to a loss of $0.41 from a profit of $0.05, and for the first half of 2026 the company posted a GAAP diluted loss per share of $0.39. Impairments do not spend cash, but they are a reminder that some of what Bruker paid for in past acquisitions is now being written down.

Formula 1 heads to the iconic Monza circuit this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix and round 13 of the 2026 season.
Kimi Antonelli, who is expected to take a grid penalty at his home race, leads the world championship standings by 59 points to Mercedes teammate George Russell and Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, with the Italian having finished second at the last race in Zandvoort.
At the Dutch GP, reigning F1 world champion Lando Norris won his second straight grand prix with a composed drive at Zandvoort, after recording a sublime pole position. Norris is now fourth in the drivers' standings, 83 points behind Antonelli.
Ferrari will be hoping to land a victory at their traditional home race, with Charles Leclerc a two-time winner in Monza and Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who crashed out on the first lap last time out, will be looking to bounce back.
Here are the standings after the Italian GP:

OpenAI launched Daybreak for Frontline Defenders on September 3, committing $1 billion in subsidized Daybreak access, training, technical support and partnerships. Separately, the Daybreak Defense Network now includes more than 35 enterprise products and partner-operated services. Cloudflare is offering invitation-only access to an AI vulnerability-discovery and remediation service built with GPT-5.6 Cyber, while SentinelOne is adding Daybreak models to its Wayfinder services. Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE:NET) and SentinelOne, Inc. (NYSE:S) therefore enter the same program with different routes to revenue.
Cloudflare's model starts at the network and developer edge. It can combine authorized source-code ***** ysis with traffic and security context, then propose code patches and WAF mitigations for customer review. That distribution creates a credible cross-sell path because customers already use Cloudflare for performance and security. Insider Monkey counted 87 hedge funds holding NET at June 30, versus 84 at March 31. AQR Capital Management owned 2,076,835 shares after raising its position by 129%.
The weakness is monetization. Early access is not general availability, and subsidized services can prove usefulness before they prove willingness to pay. Cloudflare must also prevent automated discovery from producing noise or unsafe fixes. Its premium valuation leaves little tolerance for a long gap between product attention and revenue.
SentinelOne approaches the opportunity from endpoint and security operations. Wayfinder can use the new models for code-risk ***** sment, compromise investigation, and malware ***** ysis, placing AI inside workflows staffed by security teams. Forty-one hedge funds held SentinelOne, Inc. (NYSE:S) in Q2, up from 37 in Q1. AQR reported 23,327,991 shares, a 19% quarterly increase.
SentinelOne's risk is competition and services intensity. If Wayfinder depends heavily on expert labor, the offering may scale less efficiently than software. The company also faces Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and other platforms that can bundle adjacent tools.

Saturday evening brought big news: Vikings legend Harrison Smith, who never officially announced his retirement, is coming back for a 15th season with the franchise that drafted him in the first round back in 2012.
The fan reaction to that news has been almost entirely positive. Smith is an all-time great who has played at a high level across several different eras of Vikings football. About a month into this season, he'll pass Carl Eller and Fred ****** to move into third on the franchise's games played leaderboard, trailing only Jim Marshall and Mick Tingelhoff. He's an obvious Ring of Honor lock with a real chance to end up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And Smith's return isn't just about legacy. With his experience and instincts and communication abilities in Brian Flores' check-heavy defense, Smith is a big addition to the Vikings' roster right now, even at 37 years old. He can clearly still play, as we saw in his dominant performance against the Lions last Christmas Day.
Amidst the excitement, there have been a few Vikings fans who have pushed back. Their specific complaints have to do with the contract the team gave Smith for his 15th season. It's a one-year, $12.25 million deal that has incentives up to $16.25 million if Minnesota wins the Super Bowl. For some, that price tag is too steep for a 37-year-old safety.
There were enough of those tweets that a former longtime teammate of Smith's took notice. Anthony Barr, a first-round pick two years after Smith who played alongside him for nine seasons, took to X/Twitter to put those fans on blast late on Saturday night after a couple posts about his UCLA Bruins' Week 1 win over Cal.

Nuclear energy is experiencing a resurgence, according to many leading experts. "After decades of underinvestment, a convergence of generational technological breakthroughs, intensifying geopolitical competition, and the need for clean, dense, reliable power are positioning nuclear energy for a renaissance," **** ysts from Goldman Sachs conclude.
"But the next nuclear age will look different from the last," the bank warns. "Innovations in fission like small modular reactors (SMRs) are shaping what the revival of traditional nuclear fission could look like."
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Analysts from Morgan Stanley are in agreement. "Nuclear power generation is experiencing a revival driven by ambitious climate goals and technology demands," the firm observes. Like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley sees SMRs as one of the most promising solutions for scaling nuclear energy.
"Innovations in nuclear energy may also contribute to the investment growth picture, and a new U.S. law aimed at encouraging new nuclear technologies while cutting down red tape could help spur activity," Morgan Stanley says. "Small modular reactors (SMRs), for instance, are a fraction of the size of conventional reactors and can be factory **** embled and transported, offering scalability and flexibility."

Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ:DLTR) and Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG) both reported quarterly results above sales expectations as lower-priced essentials continued to drive consumers to their stores amid economic uncertainty. Both retailers also benefited from tariff refunds, which helped support their higher full-year profit targets.
Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG) saw a 3.5% year-over-year increase in quarterly same-store sales, supported by growth across categories like seasonal, home products, and apparel. The company lifted its fiscal 2026 same-store sales growth forecast from its earlier range of 2.2% to 2.7% to 2.5% to 2.9%.
Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG) now expects fiscal 2026 earnings per share of about $7.80 to $8.00. This includes a benefit of about 25 cents from tariff refunds after related reinvestments. Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ:DLTR) also raised its full-year earnings forecast to $7.70 to $8.05 per share, which includes a benefit of about 60 cents from tariff refunds.

Liverpool are understood to have had scouts in attendance to watch one midfielder in whom they'd reportedly taken an interest during the summer transfer window.
There were reports earlier in the week that Anfield chiefs had asked Monaco to delay the proposed sale of Lamine Camara to Chelsea after the two clubs had agreed a £47m deadline day deal on which the Ligue 1 club ultimately pulled the plug (Sky Sports).
The Monegasques' sporting director Thiago Scuro apparently told the 22-year-old that he would complete a major transfer 'very soon' in what seems an attempt to keep him sweet for this season before granting him a move elswhere in 2027.
According to Graeme Bailey for TEAMtalk, Liverpool had scouts watching at the Parc des Princes on Friday night as they kept tabs on the Monaco midfielder in their Ligue 1 clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Camara is said to have played 'a significant role' as his side came from behind to beat the European champions 2-1 and continue PSG's miserable start to the campaign.

On July 1, QXO Inc. (NYSE:QXO) finalized its cash-and-stock acquisition of TopBuild Corp. for a $17 billion consideration. This makes QXO North America's largest distributor and installer of insulation, the largest distributor of waterproofing products, and the second-largest distributor of roofing products.. Chairman and CEO, Brad Jacobs, noted that the acquisition will enable QXO to explore rapidly expanding end markets such as data centers and broaden its product portfolio. Let's explore QXO's acquisitive growth strategy within the building products distribution segment and what potential does it offer to the company going forward.
QXO's acquisition of TopBuild is anticipated to be a highly accretive deal, with the company expecting at least $300 million of annual synergies by 2030. These will be linked with pricing, procurement, and cross-selling opportunities. Along with previous transactions involving $2.25 billion purchase of Kodiak Building Partners back in April and $11 billion acquisition of Beacon Roofing Supply in 2025, it makes QXO one of the top names across roofing, insulation, waterproofing, and building materials categories within North America.
The company's financials also appear encouraging. On August 13, QXO announced its second quarter results. The company posted $3.25 billion in revenue compared to $1.91 billion during Q2 2025. Adjusted EBITDA clocked in at $272 million, exhibiting 33% year-on-year growth. Adjusted net income came in at $130 million, up by more than 19% relative to the same period last year. The comparison, however, is influenced by acquisition timing. This is because the 2026 quarter included Kodiak and a full quarter of Beacon, while the prior-year period included Beacon only from its April 29, 2025 acquisition date.
CEO and Chairman acknowledged the company's technological progress and financial growth during the quarter. He stated:
"We are focused on our plan to more than double EBITDA by 2030 and reach $50 billion in revenue within the decade."

Bayern Munich hosts SC Freiburg today in the third matchday of the Frauen-Bundesliga season. The Bavarians are a perfect 2-0-0 so far while Freiburg has a win and a draw and sit in seventh place, near where they finished last season.
Last time out, Bayern equaled a club-record Bundesliga unbeaten run (44 matches), so this one is for the breakthrough.
The Bavarians welcomed back Giulia Gwinn and Lena Oberdorf recently and Sarah Zadrazil could be next in line to make her comeback. While Freiburg has not customarily given Bayern nightmares, this team is not taking anything for granted.
"Feiburg are a young team who've made a really good impression so far," Bayern coach José Barcala shared ahead of the match (as captured by FCBayern.com). "They have a clear plan, are very well organized and know exactly when they need to go and press. They can also always pose a threat with their quick movements in between the lines.
"When you're not coordinated in how you press against them or are too passive in defending, you can quickly have problems. We need to focus on every detail and definitely can't underestimate them. It certainly won't be an easy game."

There is a reason Matt Campbell wanted to bring Rocco Becht from Iowa State to Penn State once he took over as the head coach in Happy Valley. Becht gave Campbell and Penn State an experienced starter at the most important position on the football field, and that veteran presence was shining in the season opener against Marshall.
Becht passed for 271 yards and four touchdowns to four different wide receivers in Penn State's 45-0 victory over the Thundering Herd. With Becht leading the offense, Penn State put points on the scoreboard on each of their first three possessions in the first quarter. Becht took advantage of his existing chemistry that carried over with a handful of former Iowa State teammates like Brett Eskildsen, Chase Sowell, and tight end Ben Brahmer (all three caught one of Becht's touchdown passes), and he may have found a new favorite go-to target in Koby Howard, who had a game-high 161 receiving yards.
"I thought Rocco was really efficient today in terms of, you were getting eight, nine guys in the box, you were getting a lot of pressure," Campbell said when discussing Becht's performance in Week 1. "I didn't know exactly what to expect, and I think for Rocco to be able to handle that and distribute the ball, sometimes being a great quarterback is like being a great point guard, you got to be a great distributor of where the ball needs to go, and I thought he was outstanding today."
The success of the passing game, including when backup quarterback Alex Manske came in to relieve Becht in the second half, helped make up for a pretty slow start for the running game. Penn State had just 62 rushing yards at halftime and never seemed to find cracks for some big gains on the ground. The rushing yardage piled up a bit more in the second half as the bench started getting some time on the field. Carson Hansen led the Nittany Lions with 48 rushing yards and Cam Wallace picked up 47 yards once he got some playing time in the second half with the game well in hand.
A slow day on the ground from the starters didn't seem to bother Campbell too much in his postgame press conference, although it will certainly be something to watch in the coming weeks. But as long as the football is moving down the field, Campbell seems satisfied with the end result.

Nico O'Reilly was set to start in midfield for Manchester City for their match against Coventry City yesterday at the Etihad Stadium. However, the England international suffered a minor back injury in the warm-up. Due to the injury he sustained, Nico O'Reilly was withdrawn from yesterday's match. Manchester City's club record signing Enzo Fernandez replaced O'Reilly in the starting lineup. By the time that Enzo Fernandez was taken off in the 76th minute of City's 1-0 win over Coventry City, he had shown exactly what he will bring to Enzo Maresca's side and how he will fit in. All told, Enzo Fernandez played well after being thrust into his first start for Manchester City.
When Nico O'Reilly went down injured in the warm-up yesterday, Enzo Fernandez didn't have a lot of time to prepare for his Manchester City debut. The Argentinian midfielder had barely trained with his new team and had barely featured for Chelsea this season before being signed by Manchester City. He was thrust straight into the thick of it due to circumstances outside of his control. By the time that Enzo Fernandez was replaced by Ayyoub Bouaddi in the 76th minute he had put in an impressive performance in midfield.
Enzo Fernandez played on the right of Manchester City's midfield. He got himself into great positions in the final third and he was already ready and willing to receive possession all over the pitch. As per SofaScore, Enzo Fernandez completed 71/78 of his passes as his composure on the ball stood out. He was always offering himself to his teammates and helped City dominate possession throughout the first half.
As an attacking threat, Enzo Fernandez offered plenty for Enzo Maresca's side. His late runs into the Coventry City box were a constant threat. He saw two shots blocked in the first half and if it wasn't for some desperate Coventry City defending he would have gotten on the scoresheet as he could've gotten on the end of several very good crosses. It was Enzo Fernandez who played Antoine ****** yo in on the right to set up Erling Haaland's header in the 26th minute.
Enzo Fernandez put in a promising debut for Manchester City yesterday. He slotted into Manchester City's midfield well and showed more than enough while he was on the pitch.
