In a recent report, Tuttosport mentioned that Liverpool are showing interest in Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao. It has been mentioned that the Reds are prepared to launch a €50m move to sign the Portuguese wide player this off-season.
The 23-year-old managed to shine at times with his performances on the right side of Juventus' attack in the previous campaign. Conceicao scored four goals and picked up five ***** ists in 42 appearances for the Turin outfit last season on all fronts.
The Portuguese talent is currently among the most talented wide players in Serie A. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are hoping to sign him in this transfer window.
His current contract at the Turin club will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on the cheap later this year.

Lyon have signed Loïs Openda (26) on loan from Juventus, both clubs have announced. The Belgium international is back in Ligue 1 after taking France by storm three years ago. Openda logged 21 league goals in a single season with RC Lens, paving the way for him to join RB Leipzig in a €50m deal in 2023. Openda asked to leave the Bundesliga side a year ago with the latter failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Juventus pounced and signed him on loan with a €42m obligation to buy, which has been triggered on July 1st. However, Openda only scored two goals with Juventus last season in all competitions. He is now set to sign for Lyon on loan to get his career back on track after failing to make Rudi Garcia's Belgium squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Lyon were in the market for a reliable centre-forward after parting ways with Real Madrid loanee Endrick, who returned to his parent club, and Roman Yaremchuk, whose option to buy has not been triggered.

Juventus have played the first 180 minutes of a very busy summer friendly schedule. (If only the summer mercato was as busy as the team will be over the next couple of weeks, right? I'll let you decide that for yourself.) And because of a handful of players having staggered returns from their respective post-World Cup breaks and now a few other players having to deal with preseason ailments, Juve manager Luciano Spalletti has had to fill the void with the limited number of in-house options he has.
Or, as we saw over the weekend against Standard Liège, with academy players who might normally only see minutes late in friendlies as the senior players build up their stamina. Spalletti rolled out a starting lineup on Saturday that was full of primavera and Next Gen players — a good opportunity for those same teenagers but also a sign of where this team currently is as players work their way back into the squad.

Italy will appoint legendary midfielder Andrea Pirlo as the country's new manager, according to local reports.
Pirlo was a key part of Italy's 2006 World Cup-winning side and played for Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus in a gloried playing career. He also coached Juventus, as well as Sampdoria and Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk, before his current role in charge of Dubai United.
Pirlo will sign a four-year contract, taking him to the 2030 World Cup, Italian publication La Repubblica reported.

The now all-but-certain appointment of Andrea Pirlo as the new head coach of the national team raises a question: "Why him, exactly?" It's a fair question. More than fair, in fact—it's necessary.
Because his CV is hardly dazzling, his profile has deflated the fans' excitement, and now it seems as if everything is already being written off before it has even begun. But there is more sense in this choice than people think, regardless of how it ends.
A month ago, Andrea Pirlo claimed that he has always "achieved the objectives set for him": 4th place with Juventus, the playoffs with Sampdoria, 7th place with Fatih Karagümrük (though in reality he was sacked while in 9th place), and then promotion from the UAE Serie B by finishing 2nd.

The thing I hate about this time of year is that it means the entire soccer world becomes an Umberto Eco novel. Every little thing is weighted with significance, evidence of some larger narrative that only the most psychotically semiotic can follow. Speculation becomes rumor becomes fact until everything spirals out of control. Sweaty access merchants like Fabrizio Romanò breathlessly publish statements from agents as "news" as if there's the quid isn't vastly outweighed by the quo. It's discouraging to sift through and infuriating to write about. And alas, I have to wade into this meritless swamp to write about Moise Kean.
Let's start with the basics. Kean is in his prime at 26. He's under contract at Fiorentina until 2030 after extending last summer despite months of speculation. He's Italy's best striker and the only guy who came out of its failed World Cup qualifying campaign with an enhanced reputation. 2025-2026 was a down year at domestic level (8 Serie A goals in 26 appearances) as he dealt with ankle and calf injuries that sapped his effectiveness all year as well as a team context that polluted everyone it touched. ****** ody thinks that version of the Moose is the real one, although his outrageous 2024-2025 is probably the ceiling rather than the norm.
As Fiorentina's best player, he was always going to be a popular grist for the rumor mill this summer. New DS Fabio Paratici is tearing this squad down to the foundation, ruthlessly excising anyone with the slightest odor of Daniele Pradè in his quest to reduce the wage bill. Having nearly set the club record for most expensive transfer window in the opening fortnight of the transfer window and with numerous additions pending, he needs to find money somewhere. Kean's the highest-paid guy on the roster and its most saleable ****** et. The math is simple.
Besides being simple, the math also just got cheaper. Kean's extension last summer contained a €72 million release clause that extended for 365 days. It's now expired, intensifying speculation that he could be on the move. The consensus price that the Viola would accept hovers around €40 million. I'd say that's about reasonable, although perhaps a bit on the low side, especially factoring in Paratici's need to balance the books after spending €90 million already. And hey, he already sold Kean at Juventus in 2019 for €30 million.
Speaking of big transfer fees, Como's reportedly at the window, fueling speculation that the nouveau rich Lariani might make a bid for the striker. On the surface, it adds up: Tasos Douvikas was excellent last year but Kean represents a step up in quality from the Greek international, while Álvaro Morata is 33 and on the wane despite his popularity with his teammates. Como also needs to add more players trained in Italy to meet UEFA's registration rules for the Champions League (unless the plan is to ignore those like it does FFP). According to reports coming out of Sport Mediaset, relayed by Transfer Feed, the Italian giants made fresh contact with Aston Villa regarding Emiliano Martinez shortly after the World Cup wrapped up. Turin has admired the 33-year-old Argentine stopper for a ***** long time now. This latest whisper suggests they haven't entirely given up the ghost just yet. Don't hold your breath though.
The very same report makes it abundantly clear that a move to Serie A is looking dead in the water. Why? Money, mostly. The financial demands floating out of Martinez's camp are described as astronomical. Combine that with Villa having zero reason to move him on, and you have a total non-starter. Unai Emery views the World Cup winner as an absolute cornerstone of his project at B6.
Looking back at the 2025/26 campaign, it is easy to see why. Martinez clocked up 32 Premier League appearances, bagging eight clean sheets and recording a 71.1% save percentage. He let in 37 goals across the domestic run while pulling off 96 saves, earning a solid 7.07 average match rating. Add a shiny Europa League winner's medal to the mantlepiece from that season too. He is pivotal. Plain and simple.
Villa Park bosses are sitting pretty. Martinez inked a fresh deal that keeps him tied to the West Midlands until June 2029. That puts every single card squarely in Villa's hands. They don't need the cash. They certainly don't want to lose their main man between the sticks. Crucially, the player himself hasn't thrown his toys out of the pram or demanded an exit. The real stumbling block here is his entourage.
Agent demands are currently knocking on doors that Juventus simply cannot open. The Old Lady has her own financial belt to tighten these days. Throwing silly money at inflated wage demands for a goalkeeper in his mid-thirties, no matter how decorated his trophy cabinet happens to be, is a gamble the Italian club just cannot afford right now.

Belgian international forward Loïs Openda (26) is nearing a loan move to Lyon from Juventus, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport. The former Lens attacker looks set to join Les Gones on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
The 26-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements in Turin and the Serie A club are looking to move the forward on before the end of the summer transfer window. That could be about to happen as Lyon progress in negotiations with Juventus over a potential deal.

Juventus remain at a standstill in negotiations with Aston Villa for Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, which could force the Old Lady to turn to either Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham Hotspur or Noah Atubolu from SC Freiburg according to the latest updates.

Didier Deschamps has left his post as France manager with the record of most FIFA World Cup matches.
The former Juventus captain spent 14 years in charge of Les Bleus, his crowning glory being the team's World Cup win in 2018.

It didn't take long for us to have our first Juventus injury of the worry for preseason training. And just like the most notable one that is basically carrying over from the end of the 2025-26 season that had us all wondering how the heck the best player on the roster was going to look when he played in his first World Cup, this is something that has not gone away since Juve's season-ending draw to Torino in May.
So while Kenan Yildiz's lingering knee issue will certainly be a topic of discussion when he returns from his deserved albeit shortened summer vacation after spending a few weeks in North America last month, the first day of Juventus players rolling up to Continassa for training and medical exams revealed something.
More specifically, a thing on Khephren Thuram's right knee.
That is because the knee issue that hampered Thuram late in the 2025-26 season is still present. And that was evident as Thuram walked out of J Medical after Monday's checkups with a fairly large wrap on his right knee — a clear sign that the femoro-patellar syndrome is still a thing. Thuram has not been training with the rest of the group at Continassa as manager Luciano Spalletti leads his first preseason in Turin, and it's unclear when one of Juventus' most important players will actually join the rest of his teammates as they wait for the small number of World Cup participants to arrive over the next couple of weeks.
Thuram is not expected to take part in the first preseason friendly of the summer on Saturday when Juventus travel to Switzerland to face old friend Stephan Lichtsteiner and FC Basel.

At the same time, the transfer market never stops, with negotiations heating up and fresh twists emerging. Let’s take a look together at the biggest stories of this Tuesday, with Serie A’s top clubs taking center stage.
Juventus are working to trim their attack and find a new home for both Loïs Openda and Jonathan David, both coming off a very disappointing season in black and white. According to SportMediaset, Lens have renewed their strong interest in the Belgian, but the deal remains complicated because of his salary of around €4 million: the French club would need Juventus to cover part of his wages to make the move sustainable.
David’s situation is also still open. As reported by Tuttosport, the Canadian turned down an offer from Trabzonspor, but his name was reportedly put forward by an intermediary to Paris FC. The French club are looking for an international signing and could become an interesting option for Juventus, who are determined to find a solution after Spalletti’s technical rejection.

Aston Villa’s director of football operations, Damian Vidagany, insists Juventus target Emiliano Martinez is a ‘key element’ in the team, and the club has ‘no intention of letting him go.’
Aston Villa won’t let Emiliano Martinez leave this summer, the Premier League club’s director of football operations, Damian Vidagany, said on Tuesday.
Speaking to 365Scores, the Aston Villa director said: “Emiliano is a very important player for us, and he is a key element in Aston Villa. All the talk about him leaving during the current summer transfer window is just rumours, and we rely on him heavily in the team’s project for next season.
“The goalkeeper’s future is settled; he is staying with us, and we have no intention of letting him go this summer,” Vidagany added.
“The team needs his efforts and extensive experience, and he is a very important element in our project for next season.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are interested in USMNT striker Folarin Balogun and are preparing the first offer to sign Franck Kessié as a free agent.
Juventus have made just one summer signing so far, welcoming Italian winger Jeff Ekhator from Genoa, but new directors Giovanni Carnevali and Frederic Massara are working to give coach Luciano Spalletti more reinforcements.
According to Gazzetta, the Serie A giants are ready to send an offer to sign ex-Milan and Atalanta star Franck Kessié as a free agent.
The 29-year-old refused to sign a contract extension with Al-Ahli and is open to returning to Serie A, but his agent has demanded over €5m in signing bonus, Gazzetta claims.

Randal Kolo Muani's move to Juventus was making good progress at first, but when things stalled last week we predicted that we would see some moves from the Italian side to try and lower the price, and today they've moved to a new level.
A senior member of the club's sporting side has come out to bemoan PSG's demands for the forward, and to effectively given them an ultimatum about lowering the price.
"PSG's asking price is exorbitant, it's either we reach an agreement or we look for another player," the Juventus general manager said.
