Former Texas A&M football players delivered several notable performances in Week 7 of the NFL season, including a breakout game from Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion and a career milestone for Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Cashius Howell.
Concepcion recorded career highs with eight receptions for 129 yards in Cleveland's 27-24 victory over the Tennessee **** ans. He also added 23 rushing yards on three carries, for 152 total yards from scrimmage. His performance earned him a nomination for the NFL's Rookie of the Week award.
The former Aggie became the first Browns rookie wide receiver since 2016 to surpass 100 receiving yards in a game. His 129 yards also ranked eighth in franchise history for a rookie in a single game. Over seven games, Concepcion has caught 30 passes for 315 yards, establishing himself as an emerging weapon in Cleveland's offense.
Howell also had a memorable afternoon in Cincinnati's 35-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The rookie defensive end recorded his first career NFL sack, bringing down quarterback Tyler Huntley for a four-yard loss on Baltimore's opening second-half drive.
The play helped force a punt as Cincinnati rallied from a 13-0 halftime deficit and scored 35 unanswered points to win. Howell, a second-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft, recorded 11.5 sacks in his final season at Texas A&M before moving to the professional level.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft had six catches, 53 yards, and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: It has taken some time for Kraft to resemble the breakout star he was becoming before tearing his ACL almost a year ago to the day. He seems to be rounding into form, however, catching 10 passes for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the past five days. Kraft has simply looked stronger, and there have been no signs of the dropped passes that dogged him earlier this season. While he hasn't entered that top echelon of fantasy tight ends with the likes of Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, Kraft has solidified his spot as a top-10 option at the position.

Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson (chest) had eight receptions (on 10 targets) for 113 yards against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: In something straight out of a WWE show, Watson left Lambeau Field in an ambulance on Thursday night to get examined for a chest injury. He was cleared to return, however, and ended up being drive back from the hospital to make what was essentially a game-sealing catch on Green Bay's final drive of the night. Despite missing a significant chunk of the game, Watson still led all players in receptions (8) and receiving yards (113), though he did finish without a touchdown for a third straight game. Despite the scoring drought, Watson has earned a spot as a low-end WR1.

Commanders WR Treylon Burks downgraded on injury report before Eagles game appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Washington Commanders just put star wide receiver Terry McLaurin on season-ending injured reserve after his knee injury against the San Francisco 49ers. The Commanders could now find themselves down another wideout when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8 following their bye week.
Treylon Burks has been downgraded in the team's latest injury report, per ESPN's John Keim. After being limited on Wednesday, Burks did not participate on Thursday due to a foot injury.
In his fifth year in the league, the 26-year-old Burks is on course to surpass his debut season with the Commanders last year. In just five games, he is one catch away from matching his 10 receptions last year. His 152 receiving yards and two touchdowns are already more than his total last season.

Carolina Panthers TE Darren Waller had one catch (on two targets) for 11 yards in a Week 8 loss against the Green Bay Packers.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Waller has just two receptions over the last three games combined, so even though one of those was a 50-yard touchdown, it's hard to advocate for the veteran to take up a roster spot as a shaky TE2 outside of the deepest of leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan had six receptions for 58 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. He was targeted a team-high 11 times in the loss.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: With Bryce Young under duress on Thursday night, the passing game was primarily quick hitters with the hope that the wideouts could break a tackle or two and make a big play. It rarely worked out that way, however, and as a result McMillan averaged just 9.7 yards per catch. It was his third largely disappointing performance in his last five games and second in a row. We all saw what this passing attack could look like early this season, so McMillan's upside remains substantial, but the Panthers need to figure out a way to keep Young upright so he can take more downfield shots. While it's too soon to downgrade McMillan below WR2 status, his recent production has not been on that level.

WATERBURY - Holy Cross High football senior star wide receiver Dae'Sean Graves will need to wait at least one more week to claim his second state record of the season.
Graves caught five passes for 113 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown, in Holy Cross' 56-8 win over WCA on Thursday night at Ray Snyder Sr. Field. The Crusaders improved to 6-1 with their sixth straight win, while the Spartans fell to 1-6.
Graves' touchdown added to his state record. He has 52 touchdown receptions for his career. The UConn commit tied and broke Southington great Alex Jamele's career record for touchdown receptions last week in a 52-13 win at Crosby.
Graves needs five more catches at Woodland on Friday, Nov. 6 (6:30 p.m.) to tie East Catholic great Joey Montalvo's career receptions record of 226. Six catches will give Graves the state record. He didn't play in the second half of Thursday's game.
Graves will need several more games to break Montalvo's career receiving-yards record of 3,871. He is 529 yards away from tying the mark.

Here is a look at ***** er's touchdown to make it a one-score game, courtesy of the NFL's official social media:
Green Bay's defense has been able to contain Carolina's top receiver, Tetairoa McMillan, for the most part. He currently has five receptions for 50 yards. Running back Chuba Hubbard has been the best player on the Panthers' offense with 118 total yards and a touchdown. Young's touchdown pass to ***** er was his first of the night. It was also ***** er's first touchdown since his two-touchdown performance against the Chicago Bears in the season opener.

Travis Hunter made himself known on both ends of the field during the Jacksonville Jaguars' game against the Houston Texans.
Although the Jaguars suffered a 34-31 loss against the Texans, Hunter showed why he is capable of playing on offence and defence in the NFL, as he had a receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter and on the very next defensive possession, the 23-year-old intercepted a pass by C.J. Stroud.
Hunter finished the game with four receptions for 59 yards and 1 TD, while on the defensive end, he had three tackles and the crucial interception that gave the Jaguars hope to win the game.
They entered the fourth quarter down by 10, but with Hunter's two big plays, the Jags managed to tie the score. In the end, the Texans took the victory with the help of a 49-yard field-goal from Ka'imi Fairbairn on the final possession.
This was the Jaguars' second loss of the season, but fans were excited to see the two-way star Travis Hunter shine for the team.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft caught five passes for 37 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. Kraft was targeted eight times in the win.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Unquestionably the most important thing that happened for Kraft on Sunday night was that he avoided another knee injury as he headed to the blue medical tent after taking a low hit. He was able to return, however, which is big news for the Packers and Kraft owners. While the talented tight end still hasn't gotten fully back to form, he's one of the three pillars of the passing game with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, and as those two continue to command attention, it should open things up for Kraft. He's a low-end TE1 right now, but he could push toward top-five status if he can recapture his pre-injury form.

Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson had three receptions (on eight targets) for 64 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Watson entered Week 6 second in the NFL in touchdown receptions with six. He had a seventh one in his hands on Sunday night but failed to haul it in, ultimately finishing with his second-worst showing of 2026. While it was a disappointing effort from Watson, the potency of Green Bay's passing attack is legit, as is Jordan Love's willingness to push the ball downfield. The duo of Watson and Matthew Golden is starting to gain traction as a dangerous one-two combination, and the speedy Watson has established himself as one of the NFL's premier deep threats. He's a low-end WR1 that belongs in your weekly lineup.

Dallas Cowboys WR Ryan Flournoy caught seven passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. He was targeted nine times.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Although he's well behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, Flournoy has quietly become a bigger part of the passing game than Jake Ferguson. On Sunday night, he finished third on the team in targets, second on the team in receptions, and he had the only receiving touchdown. He's not a reliable fantasy option just yet, but Flournoy has put his name into the WR5 conversation for those in larger leagues.

Andy Reid has reassured Kansas City Chiefs fans after Travis Kelce suffered an ankle injury scare during their 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The veteran tight end limped off the field after a tackle by Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley and received treatment on the sidelines. However, Kelce returned to action and finished the game.
The Chiefs maintained their unbeaten start to the season, with Kelce recording four receptions for 53 yards despite the early concern.
Speaking to reporters after the victory, Reid offered a positive update on his starting tight end's condition.
"Travis Kelce tweaked his ankle and played through it. Says he'll be sore tomorrow, but he'll be OK," Reid said, according to AotZ Sports' Charles Goldman.

Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb had nine receptions for 70 yards in a Week 6 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Lamb was targeted a game-high 18 times.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Lamb was given no shortage of opportunities to make plays against the Packers with his 18 targets dwarfing second-place George Pickens, who had 11. He did almost nothing in terms of explosiveness, however, averaging 7.8 yards per catch with his longest reception covering just 17 yards. It's a disappointing trend for Lamb, who has averaged fewer than 10 yards per reception in half of his six games thus far in 2026. Despite that, fantasy owners know how high Lamb's ceiling is, so he should remain locked in your lineup as a solid WR1.

Dallas Cowboys RB Javonte Williams ran the ball 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown versus the Green Bay Packers in Week 6. Williams added nine yards on a pair of receptions.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Forced to play from behind for much of Sunday night, the Cowboys never got Williams as involved as they would've liked. The back finished with 50 yards on 13 touches, both of which set or matched season lows. The silver lining was Williams punching it in for his eighth touchdown of the season. Dallas unquestionably has some playmakers on offense, and Williams is the undisputed lead back in Big D. That affords him RB1 potential each week, though he's performing more like an RB2 right now -- one that's relying heavily on touchdowns to generate value.

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth caught two of three targets for 11 yards in a Week 6 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Bucs.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: This was Freiermuth's fewest targets all season, as fellow TE Darnell Washington had six targets, four receptions and a score. Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer caught seven of his nine targets for 95 yards in a 33-30 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.
SOURCE: USAToday.com
Why it Matters: Although Mayer has been quiet in four of the six games this year, he has topped 80 receiving yards in two of his last three outings, tallying a combined 15 receptions in those two contests. The lack of consistency makes Mayer a risky play, but with the ceiling he has shown recently, he can at least be on the TE2 radar.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir finished with four receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why it Matters: Shakir has been seeing a few more targets, along with Keon Coleman, while DJ Moore is sidelined. He is expected to be back in Week 7, so Shakir's time as a regular producer might be taking a hit soon. He remains a WR5 in most fantasy leagues as long as Moore is on the shelf.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman ended with four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why it Matters: Coleman has seen an uptick in targets and fantasy value, along with Khalil Shakir, while DJ Moore is sidelined. He is expected to be back in Week 7, so Coleman's usefulness as a regular producer might be decreasing soon. He is still a WR5 in most fantasy leagues as long as Moore is still mending.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce registered four receptions for 53 yards on five targets in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why it Matters: Kelce had a rather mediocre stat line, but his four receptions were the second-best mark on the team. It was a mostly run-heavy offensive attack, which doesn't bode well for the pass catchers, obviously. Still, Kelce remains a solid low-end TE1 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 7.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy registered game highs with seven receptions and 73 yards on his seven targets in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why it Matters: Worthy was the No. 1 receiver with Rashee Rice sidelined, and the former University of Texas standout looked the part. He had some big catches, and he quickly earned the trust of Patrick Mahomes. For now, consider him as WR4 or flex fantasy option with some upside, at least until Rice is healthy enough to return.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III rushed 19 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and he added two receptions for 11 yards on three targets. His 665 rushing yards are an NFL record through a player's first five games with a team.
SOURCE: ESPN Insights
Why it Matters: K9 is on a roll heading into Week 7 on the road against Seattle Seahawks, his former team, on Sunday Night Football. He has 369 rushing yards after contact this season. Not only is he an RB1 in all fantasy leagues, he might be the best overall fantasy option. Period.

Week 6 in the NFL has come and gone, and what a week it was! We saw some wild games across the league, with plenty of scoring, overtime, upsets- you name it! But what were the biggest fantasy football storylines to come from all that?
Caleb Williams is back! And back in a big way for the Bears, going 305/1/0 on 30 of 36 passes, in a win over the Atlanta Falcons. It also appears that Williams has reinvigorated the fantasy potential of Luther Burden and Colston Loveland, who were both off to mixed starts this season. It's also somewhat good to see that their defense is still terrible, which will only further boost Williams' production. They'll be forced into higher-scoring games, which is great for fantasy production.
So many of us want to believe that Kyle Pitts will be an elite tight end, but the lack of consistent production makes it tough to put him in our lineups every week. He's looked good over the last two weeks, but that's been bolstered by some touchdowns. Drake London still leads the team in target share, but if Michael Penix is willing to look to Pitts in the red zone, the touchdown upside will be there for him. I continue to think that Pitts is a low-end TE1 on most weeks, given the overall offensive potential of the Falcons.
While it was only his second game this season, Omar Cooper Jr. looked great for the Jets. A big 103 yards on 6 receptions and one touchdown pushed him to the top of the box score against the Patriots. It's also nice to see him do this while Garrett Wilson was also playing for the Jets. However, the question becomes: is this sustainable? Once Breece Hall gets back to the Jets offense, their overall dynamic might change, but Cooper Jr. has a role right now.
Is Noel the key to the Texans offense? The run game certainly isn't great; we know how good Nico Collins is, but they are missing another element, and Noel is shaping up to be that answer. Coming into this week, he led the Texans with 17.5 yards per reception and 13.35 yards per target. He brought this into the matchup versus the Jaguars and ended with 4/107/1, which is certainly his ceiling outcome, but this is the third straight week he's had either 80-plus receiving yards or a touchdown.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (concussion) left the Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a concussion suffered in the first quarter. He had a 17-yard reception on his lone target and touch before being ruled out.
SOURCE: NFL.com
Why it Matters: With McConkey sidelined early, it was actually KeAndre Lambert-Smith who led the way with five receptions and nine targets. The Chargers are a mess with injuries, and it's probably to stay away from the entire team right now.

Baltimore's three-game winning streak ended with a 13-10 loss that tied Cleveland with the Ravens at 4-2, and now all eyes turn to Lamar Jackson returning after missing two games to lead the charge.
Browns 13, Ravens 10.
The Ravens scored on their first two possessions and never scored again. Derrick Henry's lost fumble produced Cleveland's tying touchdown, and Tyler Loop missed a 49-yard field goal.
Andre Szmyt's late field goal completed Cleveland's comeback after Baltimore failed to capitalize on an earlier missed Browns kick.
Keyon Martin recorded a sack and a pass breakup. Josh Cuevas caught four passes for 44 yards and his first NFL touchdown. Ja'Kobi Lane added four receptions for 40 yards in his return.

Packers news: Green Bay signs long-time WR to active roster appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Green Bay Packers made a move to bolster their wide receiver room on Monday, bringing up a familiar face from coach Matt LaFleur's team's practice squad. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Green Bay has called up receiver Bo Melton to the team's active 53-man roster. Melton has experimented at cornerback in the past and will join the Packers as a wide receiver.
Melton was drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and was briefly compared to Jaguars star Travis Hunter for his two-way play. He was signed off the Seahawks' practice squad in 2022 and has stuck with Green Bay as a backup. Melton had his best season that year with 16 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown. He has 29 receptions for 426 yards and two touchdowns in his Packers career.
Melton will join a team that is still reeling from a 39-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. Green Bay failed to live up to LaFleur's standards against the Vikings and will soon look to rebound in a road game on September 20 against the New York Jets. LaFleur is squarely on the hot seat in some circles, and a loss to the Jets would start to make it feel even more uncomfortable.
