Because Florence Pugh is one of Marvel's biggest current stars, and her character, Yelena Belova, plays a role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it wasn't much of a surprise to see her on the red carpet for the London premiere.
Shane Anthony Sinclair/Getty Images
The British actress has been on an exceptional run of late, so I was delighted to see that continue in this Tamara Ralph Spring 2026 Couture dress.
Remember when I used to cry tears of frustration over Florence's red-carpet choices? Tonight, they were tears of joy as she glided onto the red carpet in this silver bugle-bead fringe gown with its dramatic winged neckline. I'll admit my mind initially wandered to Harris Reed, but Tamara Ralph's execution has a lighter, more fluid elegance, less theatrical feel.
A gown embellished with silver crystal Xilions hardly called for additional jewellery, yet her Bvlgari pieces, particularly the emerald earrings and matching ring, added another layer of glamour.

Kelsey Plum's two-season tenure with the Los Angeles Sparks is likely coming to an end, per LA Times reporter Marisa Ingemi. Ingemi reported that the Sparks will most likely trade Plum by Sunday's midseason trade deadline, and that they've gotten interest from across the league.
Plum is in the midst of a historic offensive season, albeit an injury-riddled one. She's averaging 23.9 points and 6.4 **** ists, while shooting 52.7% from the field. All of those numbers are career highs. She's also shooting 38.3% from three, her highest mark since 2023. But she's appeared in just 12 of 27 games as she's dealt with an ankle and a lower leg injury. The Sparks are currently out of the playoff mix, holding a 10-17 record and losers of 6 straight games.
Plum signed a one-year, $999,999 contract ahead of the season, after being traded to LA from Las Vegas in a three-team trade that saw the Seattle Storm get the No. 2 pick (and Li Yueru), and Las Vegas acquire Jewell Loyd. While Plum has individually excelled since arriving in Los Angeles, the team missed out on the playoffs in Year 1 and appears on track to do so again.

MADRID, July 23 (Reuters) - Spanish former Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero said on Thursday that €1.3 million ($1.5 million) of jewellery seized by ‌police as part of an investigation was a personal gift he ‌received years ago and was never intended for financial gain.
Zapatero, who was prime minister from 2004 to 2011 and remains an influential figure in the governing Socialist Party, is under investigation over alleged influence-peddling, accusations he denies. The case is one of a series of corruption scandals affecting the party and piling political pressure on Prime ‌Minister Pedro Sanchez's government.
In his first interview since being placed under investigation two months ago, Zapatero told Spanish public broadcaster TVE that the jewels found during a search of his office were "a personal courtesy gift" that had been stored for years with other family valuables.
The jewels were unrelated to his political activities and their origin and handling would be fully explained before a judge, he said. ‌He rejected suggestions they reflected any attempt at personal enrichment.
Investigating Judge Jose Luis Calama opened a separate probe into the jewellery, whose origin remains undocumented, according to investigators. An auction house provisionally valued them at about €1.3 million ($1.5 million), though Zapatero disputes that estimate.

NEW DELHI, July 15 (Reuters) - India and Britain's trade pact took effect on Wednesday, cutting tariffs on thousands of goods and expanding market access for services firms and ‌professionals in both countries.
The India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement gives Indian exporters duty-free access to most ‌British tariff lines, benefiting sectors such as textiles, leather, footwear, marine products, gems and jewellery, and processed foods.
Britain, meanwhile, gains greater access to one of the world's fastest-growing major economies through phased tariff cuts and quotas for sectors such as automobiles and silver, as well as openings in procurement, financial services, education, insurance and professional services.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a post on X that the trade pact and accompanying social security agreement would deepen economic ties and give "fresh momentum" to India's farmers, entrepreneurs ‌and small businesses.

Project B, the new global women's and men's basketball league, has named former Atlanta Hawks general manager Landry Fields as its head of men's basketball.
The league made the announcement Thursday morning, adding that Fields will oversee men's player recruitment and team operations and work closely with the league's chief basketball officer Alana Beard.
"Landry understands the game from every angle," Beard, the No. 2 pick in the 2004 WNBA draft, said in a statement distributed by the league. "He's been a player, he's built teams, and he knows culture doesn't happen by accident."
The league has already started rolling out its women's circuit, and so far about a dozen women's basketball players have said they'll be participating, including Dallas Wings rookie Azzi Fudd, former WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike, Alyssa Thomas, Jonquel Jones, Jewell Loyd and Seattle Storm rookie Awa Fam. Many young players from around the world are also expected to play.
Project B will feature six teams with 11 players and plans to barnstorm across Europe and Asia. Valencia, Spain, and Tokyo have already been announced as two of the host cities. It will debut early next year, with the men's and women's circuits running together from January-April.

Michelle Obama took to the stage at the 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture in New Orleans for a live conversation with Keke Palmer celebrating the launch of IMO: The Look, her new podcast series exploring personal style, identity and self-expression.
And I have to say, I'm loving this chapter of Michelle. Whether she's promoting a new project, appearing at cultural events or simply stepping back into the spotlight more often, every appearance feels like a reminder of why she remains one of the most admired women in the world. She continues to inspire through her words, her confidence and, of course, her fashion.
For the occasion, she wore a Proenza Schouler Fall 2026 dress styled by Thomas Christos Kikis, our favourite stylist, who has been behind so many of Gabrielle Union's standout fashion moments.
The strength of this Proenza Schouler dress lies in the contrast. The clean, sleeveless bodice provides a sleek foundation, while the asymmetric skirt panel, trimmed with fringe and scattered embellishments, gives the dress its identity. Without it, this would have been a beautifully cut black dress. With it, the look has personality,
Black pumps, delicate jewellery and Michelle's confidence did the rest. This is one of those looks that feels good on the runway, but finds its true purpose on the right woman. Michelle gave it the presence it needed.

Anya Taylor-Joy attended a photocall for the launch of Lucky at Raffles London at The OWO this afternoon.
I know some of you aren't fans of these lingerie-inspired looks from the Tom Ford Spring 2026 collection, but there are people walking around London today wearing a lot less. Trust me, it really is that hot.
Anya wore a pale blue and black lace dress from the collection, having previously chosen the longer black version of the design for the Marrakech International Film Festival closing ceremony back in December. I actually like this shorter interpretation. It feels fresh, light and perfectly suited to today's soaring temperatures.
We're used to seeing Anya bring a sense of storytelling to the red carpet, but today was all about dressing for the heatwave, and she got it exactly right.
Black sandals and Tiffany & Co. jewellery and black sandals completed her look.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Kelsey Mitchell scored 27 points, Aliyah Boston totaled 18 points and 10 rebounds and Indiana beat the Aces for the first time in Las Vegas 84-68 with a couple of All-Stars sidelined on Sunday night.
Las Vegas played without A'ja Wilson, the four-time league MVP who has missed three straight games with an ankle injury, and Indiana’s Caitlin Clark was held out for a third game as she recovers from a back injury. Both players were selected to start in the All-Star Game on July 25 in Chicago.
Wilson and Clark are both expected back soon. Aces coach Becky Hammon said before the game that had it been a playoff game Wilson most likely would have played. Clark has returned to practice this week.
Mitchell made 7 of 18 shots and 10 of 12 free throws for Indiana (12-8) and Boston posted her sixth double-double this season. Lexie Hull scored 10.
Jackie Young had 15 points for Las Vegas (15-6) in its lowest-scoring game of the season. Jewell Loyd scored 12, and Chelsea Gray contributed 10 points and six ****** ists.

King Charles and Queen Camilla traveled to Edinburgh to attend the formal opening of the Scottish Parliament on Saturday, and they both ensured they were suitably dressed for the occasion in Scottish-inspired outfits. The monarch donned a traditional kilt while his wife opted for a red tartan skirt, but Camilla's attire has caused a divide online.
Her Majesty wore a below knee red tartan skirt, paired with forest green tartan lined jacket and green hat and shoes. As soon as pictures circulated online, opinions swirled about the statement. Underneath a photo shared on ******* O!'s Instagram, users admired Camilla's fashion ensemble. "Queen Camilla Looks fabulous," and: "Queen Camilla looks amazing" were among the comments. A third wrote: "Thank you for wearing [the] Scottish national dress. It is very much appreciated in Scotland.
Others disagreed and one pointed out: "Camilla always looks guarded in whatever she wears." Another added: "Almost like she's uncomfortable in her own skin, but also doesn't wear royal garb comfortably, unlike Anne, who while not conventionally pretty, has a certain royal style and glamour."
The royal family often use their clothing to give a nod to the location they are visiting or the occasion they are attending, with symbolic colours, fabrics and even special brooches or jewellery.
The ceremonial event began with a procession of historical artifacts, including the Crown of Scotland and the Elizabeth Sword, escorted down the Royal Mile by youth organizations and Team Scotland athletes. Following opening remarks, King Charles addressed the chamber, after which the royal couple enjoyed a series of special musical, poetry, and theatrical performances before meeting with local heroes recognized for their contributions to the community.

Pomellato celebrated the opening of Pomellato, Le Joaillier Révolutionnaire, its first-ever exhibition in Paris, at the Palais de Tokyo. The evening also marked the international debut of Pomellato Stile Libero, the Maison's new High Jewellery collection, before guests gathered for an intimate gala dinner. Naturally, the jewellery was the focus, but there were plenty of fashion moments worth discussing too.

The soft drapery around the hips was beautiful, but it was the lattice-embroidered skirt, finished with feather detailing, that made this look feel heavenly. A striking diamond-and-emerald Pomellato necklace completed her look.

North West made a statement at Vetements' Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show during Paris Fashion Week, debuting an edgy new faux facial-piercing look that perfectly matched her signature alternative style. The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West arrived in blue pigtails with her apparent angel-bite lip studs drawing attention. But North was far from the only headline-making guest. Sharon Stone returned to the runway for the first time in more than three decades, while Britney Spears' sons Sean Preston and Jayden James both took to the catwalk in their modelling debuts. Olivia Palermo, Natalia Vodianova and Alexandre Grimaldi were also among the glamorous crowd.
North West ensured all eyes were on her with an edgy all-black Vetements look. The 13-year-old paired an oversized graphic top with a pleated mini skirt, sheer tights and chunky black boots wrapped in oversized silver chains. Her vivid turquoise-blue hair was styled into high pigtails, while her apparent faux lip, cheek and nose jewellery, spiked collar and dramatic manga-inspired makeup gave the outfit a full punk-pop finish.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's eldest son, Sean Preston Spears, made a confident runway appearance in a striking all-black ensemble. He wore a long satin-finish black coat with graphic patches and labels , layered over a black **** on-down shirt and necktie. Faded blue jeans and glossy black shoes gave the tailored look a deliberately undone edge, perfectly suited to Vetements' subversive approach to menswear.
Jayden joined his older brother Sean on the Vetements runway, opting for a more stripped-back take on the collection. Britney's younger son wore a fitted white tank top with relaxed pale-blue jeans, finished with a brown leather belt, oversized buckle and a cluster of chains at his hip. Dark leather shoes and softly tousled hair completed the effortless, off-duty look.
Sharon made one of the show's most memorable runway appearances, returning to the Paris Fashion Week catwalk more than 30 years after her last turn for Valentino. The Basic Instinct star wore an oversized white blazer over a black shirt and white tie, paired with ultra-shiny black thigh-high boots. Her sleek centre-parted blonde bob and understated makeup allowed the sharply tailored, high-contrast look to take centre stage.
