Philadelphia Eagles RB Dameon Pierce carried 12 times for 35 yards and a touchdown in a Week 6 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He also caught four of his five targets for 15 yards.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: The Eagles running back room has been decimated by injuries, so Pierce has gotten his chance the last two weeks. He had 11 carries for 14 yards last week against Jacksonville, so it would not be a stretch to say he didn't take advantage. That said, the offensive line is missing some key pieces and Jalen Hurts was put on IR over the weekend. Pierce should only be considered an emergency fantasy start until Saquon Barkley returns, which could be as soon as Week 7.

You can always rely on Fashion Month to churn out the trends, not just for apparel, but for hair, too. Over the last few weeks, the runway has given us sculptural frizz, combover-esque bangs, creative crimping, and countless other looks that make you wonder whether all of the lead hairstylists have colluded to make your morning routine a little more difficult. But behold: the trend we didn't see coming… back. In the ultimate model-off-duty moment, Gigi Hadid was seen wearing a humble zig-zag headband—the quintessential late-'90s and early-2000s hair accessory.
After walking in Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 2027 show on October 4, Hadid was spotted leaving the venue with her long, blonde hair pushed back by a tortoiseshell scalloped headband. Also known as a shark-tooth or comb headband (depending on who you ask, where they grew up, and how old they are), the style has those unmistakable wavy teeth that grip the hair while keeping the face free of any stray tendrils.
Hadid wore it with an otherwise wonderfully uncomplicated look: a loose, white **** on-down left open over a white bra, jeans cinched with a brown leather belt, and white mesh ballet flats decorated with tiny floral embroidery. She carried a brown Miu Miu bag, making the whole thing feel less like a carefully engineered Paris Fashion Week outfit and more like someone running errands after class in 2002—if that person happened to be a supermodel.

Oscar Health (OSCR) raised its full-year earnings outlook while lowering its expected medical costs to cover benefits for its nearly 3 million Affordable Care Act exchange members. OSCR stock climbed in early Wednesday stock market action ahead of its 9 a.m. ET investor conference.
Oscar, which made an aggressive play to gain ACA market share, has seen enrollment surge 47% from a year ago as of June 30, even as overall enrollment has plunged due to the expiration of enhanced premium subsidies. As of now, it looks like the bet is paying off in a big way, with shares up 126% this year through Tuesday. But it's still a bit early to know, because Oscar's earnings depend not only on its own members' costs, but also those of other ACA insurers.
The ACA's No. 2 insurer by membership behind Centene (CNC) said that it now expects its medical loss ratio, or benefit costs as a share of premiums, to be in the 81% to 82% range, down from the prior outlook of 81.5% to 82.5%.
Oscar boosted its outlook for earnings from operations by $100 million at both ends to a range of $600 million to $800 million. The unchanged revenue outlook, between $18.7 billion and $19 billion, implies that no additional customer churn is expected.
Here is what investors should keep in mind. Compared to the overall ACA risk pool, Oscar's enrollment is relatively young, healthy and more likely to sign up for very-high-deductible bronze plans. Yet based on its relatively healthy risk pool, Oscar expects about 20% of its premiums will be paid out via risk adjustment to other carriers under ACA rules. That means results in the second half of this year depend to a large degree on the level of healthcare utilization by non-Oscar members. As of now, it's a bit early to tell, since healthcare spending tends to rise as the year progresses and insured members exhaust their deductibles.

Interested in American Tower Corporation? Here are five stocks we like better.
2026 is expected to be American Tower's organic growth trough, with tenant billings growth projected to accelerate in 2027 as Dish Network churn fades and carrier network investment improves.
Future demand could be supported by 5G capacity expansion, higher-band spectrum, AI-driven uplink traffic and eventual 6G deployments. CoreSite's data-center business is also benefiting from rising bandwidth and cloud-interconnection demand.
American Tower is targeting 200–300 basis points of tower-business margin expansion and mid- to upper-mid-single-digit long-term AFFO-per-share growth, while Dish litigation and a Mexico arbitration could provide additional upside if resolved favorably.

The Oregon Ducks' defense hasn't received much kudos this week after allowing the Boise State Broncos to score 27 points on them in Week 1, including multiple 70-plus yard scoring drives. While the standard wasn't met as a collective with blue-chippers lining every position, defensive tackle Bear Alexander's performance was a different story.
Facing an underrated Broncos rushing attack headed by Dylan Riley (1,125 yards, 10 touchdowns in 2025) and Sire Gaines (811 yards, eight touchdowns), the Ducks were going to be tested up front to begin the season. And, especially in the second half, there were moments where the Boise State run game was successful in churning out positive gains. But by game's end, they'd ran for just 93 yards on 26 carries, good for just 2.6 yards per pop.
Alexander answered the call, totaling eight tackles including a sack of quarterback Maddux Madsen. There were moments of the second-year Oregon starter simply discarding Boise State's center and guards before swallowing up Riley or Gaines near the line of scrimmage.
The performance of Alexander caught the eye of The Athletic NFL draft ***** yst Dane Brugler, who dove into the Week 1 tape and made a strong claim about the defensive tackle's draft stock.
"At 6-3 and 311 pounds with 34-inch arms and 10 1/8-inch hands, Alexander is a physical presence in the trenches who can shred blocks or hold his ground versus double teams," Brugler wrote. "A former top recruit, he had stops at Georgia and USC before transferring to Oregon, where he is realizing his potential. With his size and ability, Alexander started his senior season as a top-100 prospect and is competing to be in the top-50 conversation."

SEYMOUR - An inadvertent whistle by a game official with under two minutes played in the game sealed an incredibly unusual 6-0 victory for the Ansonia football team over Seymour Thursday night at DeBarber Field.
With Ansonia clinging to its marginal lead, Chargers running back Jacob Branch took a handoff, got stood up from a Seymour defender and then continued to churn away, getting stripped of the ball in the process.
The Seymour players began celebrating as Ronan Carboni scooped up the loose ball at the Ansonia 19-yard line. Then a little bit of confusion and chaos ensued.
The game officials huddled on the field and after significant discussion determined that the whistle had been blown when Branch was first stood up, because the official near the Ansonia sideline felt his forward progress had been halted.
The Chargers maintained possession of the ball, and ultimately ran out the clock to seal the victory.

Lone Peak's girls soccer team churned out a dream 40 minutes in the second half at American Fork on Thursday.
In a showdown between the No. 2 and 3 teams in 6A, the Knights ripped off six goals in the second half as they ran away with the 6-0 victory in their most complete performance of the season.
The win ran Lone Peak's winning streak to eight straight, and coach Shantel Jolley said it was nice to see her team finish off a game in regulation after its three previous wins all went into overtime, and two ultimately into penalties.
"The last three games we've had tight games, double overtime, and so we kind of wanted to finally get one where we weren't going into overtime and playing 100 minutes, so that was kind of my challenge to them today," Jolley said.
Even though breakthrough didn't come until the second half, Lone Peak's attack was dangerous from the get-go as it put American Fork's defense under pressure early in the match.

Impax ***** et Management, based in London and specializing in sustainable investing, released its Q2 2026 investor letter for the "Impax US Sustainable Economy Fund". The letter can be downloaded here. The US Sustainable Economy portfolio outperformed the Russell 1000 in Q2 2026, with Institutional Class at 17.96%, Investor Class at 17.95%, and Class A at 17.92%, versus the index's 15.14%. Sector allocation and stock selection drove performance. The sustainability tools, including the Impax Sustainability Lens and Corporate Resilience framework, contributed positively. Equity markets rallied, with both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq reaching new highs before retreating. A key trend was rotation into AI and tech stocks, supported by mega-cap earnings and data center investments (US$750bn to US$1tn). In the second half of 2026, markets may remain volatile amid debates on AI adoption pace and economic momentum. However, growth tied to energy security and efficiency remains compelling, with demand for power, grid, and resource-efficient solutions supporting companies that benefit. The team focuses on businesses with strong growth, sound management, and attractive valuations, adjusting holdings as needed. This approach aims to build well-diversified, differentiated portfolios. Also, please check the fund's top five holdings for its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Impax US Sustainable Economy Fund highlighted Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ). Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) is a leading telecommunication company that engages in the provision of communications, technology, information, and streaming products and services. On September 04, 2026, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) closed at $50.14 per share. Over the past month, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has a market capitalization of $208.32 billion, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $38.39 to $51.68.
Impax US Sustainable Economy Fund stated the following regarding Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) (Wireless Telecommunication Services, Communication Services) is held for its high Corporate Resilience score and its sustainability opportunity exposure in areas including Digital Infrastructure and Meeting Basic Needs. The stock fell during the quarter as investor focus shifted away from defensive yield plays toward growth and cyclical sectors. Hurricane Marie, well out in the Pacific, created flooding and dangerous conditions at some southern California beaches over Labor Day weekend, with strong currents and huge waves presenting a threat to swimmers and surfers.
Rose Schoenfeld, a National Weather Service meteorologist, said Sunday that Marie stirred up "life-threatening" conditions as it churned in the ocean hundreds of miles off California's Pacific coast. Some south-facing beaches have seen surf up to 10 feet (3 meters) high, she said.
"We're getting reports from lifeguards that the surf conditions are very dangerous, specifically the rip currents," Schoenfeld said.
Hurricane Marie won't make landfall and is expected to weaken to a tropical storm by late Sunday, but will still but will still bring rain to parts of Los Angeles County before it dissipates. Some parts of the area have already seen as much as a quarter inch of rain Sunday, Schoenfeld said.
The National Weather Service advised people to swim only near lifeguards and to stay off rock jetties.

After an offseason of change, bringing in a new offensive coordinator, overhauling the roster and pushing for a fresh focus on identity, coach Jeff Traylor leads UTSA into the 2026 season with a matchup against UTRGV on Saturday in the Alamodome.
The Roadrunners are about 30-point favorites against their FCS opponent, looking for a strong start as they aim to take a step forward following consecutive 7-6 seasons.
Follow along for live updates and ***** ysis:
The Vaqueros' offense hasn't appeared too scared of the bright lights in the Alamodome, churning out six first downs across their first three drives.
UTRGV did hit a typical early season stumble, trying to rush to the line on fourth-and-1 but botching the snap, leading to a turnover on downs.

New-look Manchester City overcame a spirited challenge from Coventry on Saturday courtesy of an Erling Haaland goal to stay perfect in the Premier League, as blunt Tottenham were held to a goalless draw at Nottingham Forest.
Enzo Maresca is now the man in the Etihad hotseat after the emotional departure of long-serving Pep Guardiola, while there has been significant churn among the playing staff.
One of the new arrivals, Enzo Fernandez, played a major part in City's first-half goal, feeding Antoine ******* yo, who crossed for Haaland to head home his third of the season.
Table-topping City have won all three of their Premier League matches ahead of next week's Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
Former Chelsea boss Maresca said teams needed "ugly moments" as well as free-flowing football after the stodgy win, in which newly promoted Coventry squandered chances.

With about 40% short interest, SoundHound AI (NASDAQ: SOUN) is one of the most shorted stocks in the market. The company has been growing its revenue quickly, but a pending merger with troubled LivePerson (NASDAQ: LPSN) has investors betting against the stock. However, heavy short interest is a double-edged sword.
If a stock has high short interest, there is usually a bearish case to be made against it. In the case of SoundHound AI, its merger with LivePerson will bring considerable debt and a business currently in decline. There is also a good chance that SoundHound AI will seek a future equity raise to pay off the debt it is taking on as part of the deal, as it has stated it will work to quickly retire the debt through a combination of cash and stock.

The flip side is that heavily shorted stocks can see huge short squeezes if they can prove the skeptics wrong. With LivePerson, SoundHound AI is gaining access to a large, established, albeit declining, customer base, especially in call centers and the customer service ***** e.
Its goal will be to retain these customers and switch them to its more comprehensive and higher-priced AI voice technology and agentic AI platform. If the company can stabilize churn and upsell customers, this deal could be a huge boon for this growth stock.

On August 6, Peloton Interactive (NASDAQ:PTON) reported results for its fiscal fourth quarter and full year ended June 30, and the headline number is one the company has chased for years: a full year of positive net income. Total revenue for fiscal 2026 came in at $2.446 billion, and quarterly revenue of $608 million ticked up $1 million from a year earlier. The bigger story sits beneath the top line, in a business that finally converted cost cuts into cash while its subscriber base kept shrinking.
Fiscal 2026 marked the first time in Peloton's history that the company posted positive net income and operating income for a full year, with GAAP net income landing at $63 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose 16% year over year to $468 million, even after absorbing a $23.8 million nonrecurring legal accrual tied to patent litigation in the fourth quarter. Free cash flow climbed to $378 million, up $54 million, and management used that cash to cut net debt by 80% to just $93 million from $459 million a year earlier. CEO Peter Stern credited the turnaround to an improved revenue trajectory paired with cost restructuring, and the company said it exceeded its own target of more than $100 million in run-rate savings by the end of the fiscal year.
Growth is showing up outside the core bike and treadmill business too. The Commercial Business Unit grew revenue by double digits for the year, Peloton expanded its digital footprint through a partnership with Spotify, and it closed the acquisition of Skōp to push further into connected Pilates. Microstores beat their internal sales goals as an efficient in-person retail channel, and Peloton plans to double that store fleet in fiscal 2027. New training programs also drove engagement, with the Pace Your Race Marathon Training Program and a Live Spring Cross-Training Plan generating more than 850,000 completed workouts in the fourth quarter alone.
The profitability story cannot hide what is happening to the customer base. Ending Paid Connected Fitness Subscriptions fell 8.8% year over year to 2.553 million, and monthly churn rose to 2.2% in the fourth quarter from 1.8% a year earlier. Hardware sales are choppy too. Connected Fitness Products revenue dropped 14% year over year in the quarter to $171 million, and gross margin on that hardware segment swung to 13.4% from 17.3% a year ago before recovering some ground quarter over quarter. Peloton's own guidance signals the subscriber slide is not over.

It's no secret AI giants are racing against each other to build data centers across the country. With the AI boom skyrocketing in the 2020s, the U.S. has grown to nearly 5,000 data centers across all 50 states to date, with hyperscalers driving much of that expansion. But with that growth comes tax incentives that seem to scale further than market competition.
According to a report from JLL, a commercial real estate and investment management company, the global data center sector will likely expand at a 14% compound annual growth rate through 2030—and it notes "hyperscalers will remain a key driver of sector growth." And with that growth comes significant savings for the hyperscalers: nearly three-quarters of all states employ tax incentives for data center development—which include exemptions from sales and use tax, property tax and "financial transactions" tax.
The eligibility of these exemptions differ state by state, however. Some states like Texas require a substantial—at least $200 million—capital investment in the data center project, others such as Maine require a certain amount of square footage to be eligible, and a few states also require employment metrics to be met. Certain states, like New York, have no minimum investment requirement—and to sweeten the deal further, the tax exemptions are applicable for a wide range of data center expenditures.
Such measures are evident in the New York Department of Taxation and Finance structure, for example, in which data center tax incentive eligibility covers property, services, equipment and contracts. The incentives for the data centers themselves lie in the inherent replacement cycle required for upgrades and system life.
Capital expenditures like electrical systems, batteries and structures have usable lives in excess of 20 years—but other types of equipment such as cloud computing operations often have lives of as short as three years due to the high strain of AI computing. Based on the nature of equipment churn, the Tax Foundation found that a $5 billion data center could "easily spend more than a billion dollars a year on machinery and equipment," making sales taxation a "significant" consideration when choosing development.

It's finally a game week for the defending ACC champion Duke Blue Devils, who open their season against the reigning American Conference champions, Tulane. After seven months of offseason tweaks and offensive retooling, here's how each offensive coordinator arrived at this moment and what to expect from each attack in Week 1.
Jonathan Brewer, Duke
Brewer came over with head coach Manny Diaz in December of 2023 and previously served under him as a senior offensive quality control coach from 2020-2021 at Miami. Last year under Brewer was historic for the Blue Devil offense as the unit set the program record for touchdowns scored (63), points scored (484), and pass efficiency (152.53). The group was the first in school history to have a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard receiver, and 1,000-yard rusher.
The obvious hurdle Brewer and this offense will have to overcome is the churn at quarterback. Darian Mensah was one of the best QB's in all of college football a season ago, which was a massive part of Duke's success offensively.
This season, the Blue Devils will trot out San Jose State transfer Walker Eget, who has some huge shoes to fill but has a great deal of experience as a Division I starter. Brewer has been known to do great work with QB's throughout his career, so it's certainly possible that Eget will come out firing on all cylinders versus Tulane.

The Tennessee ******* ans have been churning their roster over the past couple of days. First, the initial cuts down to 53, followed by a Monday swap of five players.
During the wave of initial cuts, wide receiver Bryce Oliver was an unexpected cut, with the ******* ans initially keeping wide receiver Xavier Restrepo as the team's sixth receiver. That move was somewhat of a surprise because Oliver has developed into one of the elite special teamers on the roster.
After not being added to the initial ******* ans' 17-man practice squad, many wondered when/if it would happen, and now we know why. Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated reports that Oliver has signed with the Cleveland Browns and will bring his special-teams abilities to their practice squad.
Former #Titans WR Bryce Oliver is signing with the Cleveland Browns' practice squad, per source.
Oliver was considered a lock by many to make Tennessee's 53-man roster. He was a surprise cut, and now he lands in Cleveland.
Elite special teams player.
While losing Oliver will potentially hurt the ******* ans' special teams depth, the decision to initially keep Restrepo over Oliver did make some sense: Restrepo produced as a slot receiver, while Oliver has never truly established himself as a potential weapon on offense. He flashed since joining the ******* ans as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2024, but could never put it together consistently.

The Tennessee **** ans have started to churn their practice squad, one day after signing 16 players to the unit.
On Tuesday, Tennessee made multiple changes to the practice squad, including bringing back wide receiver Xavier Restrepo after he cleared waivers.
The **** ans also signed cornerback Shemar Bartholomew, who was released by the Green Bay Packers. Originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the New York Jets in 2024, Bartholomew has appeared in 6 career games with the Carolina Panthers and the Packers, making seven total tackles.
To make room for these additions, Tennessee only had to make one move, and waived cornerback Mario Goodrich III.
There was also a report by Justin Melo that the **** ans intended to bring back safety Jerrick Reed, but they did not follow through with that on Tuesday.

The Tennessee ******* ans welcomed five new members to the organization on Monday after waiver claims and signings, and those players should hit the field when the team officially kicks off regular-season practice at Vanderbilt Football Health Center.
These additions will likely also lead to some churning on the practice squad once the waiver process is complete, but those should be familiar faces. With the new additions come new jersey numbers, including one change for a veteran who made the final 53-man roster.
The ******* ans announced that safety Tony Adams would change his number from 38 to 29 for the regular season, and revealed the numbers of the newest additions.
S Terrell Burgess - 38
CB Melvin Smith Jr. - 39

More former Texas A&M players are learning their fate as NFL teams finalize cuts to the 53‑man roster.
This stretch is always one of the most nerve‑wracking periods for players on the bubble, with situations changing hour to hour across the league. You can make the initial roster on cut day, only to be released the next day to make room for a waiver claim. It's a brutal cycle, and for many players, it doesn't truly sink in that they've made the team until Week 1 arrives.
Only then can they finally exhale.
Over the next few days, the bottom of NFL rosters will churn heavily, and there will be plenty to track as teams shuffle practice squads, injury designations, and late additions. As those moves roll in, follow along here at AggiesWire for every update involving former Texas A&M football players.

The Miami Dolphins have completed their 2026 NFL Preseason schedule with a loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Friday night. The Falcons game, along with their earlier games against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, and the summer's training camp practices, have given the Dolphins' coaches all the evaluations they need to build the team's roster for this year – and they now have to start making decisions.
The NFL roster cuts deadline is fast approaching. Miami and all 31 other teams must cut from the preseason 90-man roster to the regular-season limit of 53 players over the next couple of days. Roster cuts are due by 6 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, August 30.
After the cuts, practice squad players will sign or re-sign with the team. We will track those on Monday, but each team can carry up to 16 additional reserve and developmental players.
The final 53-man roster is, of course, anything but final. Players will be re-signed, claimed off waivers, or signed as free agents before the season begins on Wednesday, September 9. Even after the regular season kicks off, we will see plenty of roster moves, especially for Miami who will likely churn the bottom of the roster all season long.
The 2026 season is not expected to be a good one for the Dolphins. According to the oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook, Miami has the longest odds to make the playoffs in the AFC at +1500. The New York Jets have the next worst odds at +700. Miami's roster churn will, hopefully, help the Dolphins find players who can grow with the team as they move through this year's rebuild and into the 2027 season and beyond.

The Browns have started the process of setting their initial 53-man roster.
They announced 15 cuts from their training camp roster and one cut from injured reserve on Friday afternoon. All 32 teams need to get down to 53 players by Sunday afternoon's deadline.
Four of the players were released as vested veterans. Cornerbacks Tre Avery and Tyler Hall joined offensive tackle Tyre Phillips in getting dropped from the active roster while tight end Jack Stoll was released from injured reserve.
They also waived tight end Drew Biber, offensive tackle Jeremiah Byers, punter Nik Constantinou, safety Christopher Edmonds, cornerback Nate Evans, defensive tackle Coziah Izzard, defensive tackle Patrick Jenkins, cornerback Jeremiah McClendon, offensive tacke Izavion Miller, defensive end Jamil Muhammad, wide receiver Ben Patterson, and tight end Jermaine Terry.
Cleveland has many more moves to make to hit the roster limit and there will likely be some immediate churning as other players shake free around the league in the coming days.

The Kansas City Royals' nine-game winning streak came to an end with a 3-0 loss to Toronto, but Jacob Milham and Jeremy Greco frame it as a strong stretch rather than any kind of collapse. Bobby Witt Jr. stays in the AL MVP conversation, though the offensive edge right now still points toward Yordan Alvarez. Jac Caglianone's struggles since returning from injury spark a broader conversation about rhythm and confidence, and how much weight a rough game or two should actually carry.
The roster continues to churn. Michael Massey has gone on the seven-day concussion list after a scary-looking play, and Mason Black has been optioned to Triple-A Omaha. Josh Rojas is back for his third stint with Kansas City, and Anthony Gose has been selected after a strong stretch in Omaha and a long MLB career as both an outfielder and a pitcher. Beck Way's returned rehab ***** ignment reignites a heated critique of how the organization has handled player health this year, and Nick Mears' thoracic outlet syndrome diagnosis becomes another example of injuries taking far too long to sort out. The conversation turns pointed when Craig Kimbrel and the broader old-versus-young roster philosophy come up, with Jacob and Jeremy questioning whether Kansas City is leaning too hard on veterans who have no real bearing on the team's future.
The back half of the episode is dedicated to MLB's newly floated CBA proposal, and it is a thorough breakdown. A proposed $265 million cap on free-agent contracts, changes to Rule 5 draft eligibility, and earlier arbitration and free agency timing are all covered in detail. Jacob and Jeremy are particularly critical of the calendar-based offseason plan, arguing that manufactured transaction windows and a winter meetings quiet period would depress salaries and make the sport less interesting rather than more efficient. The very real possibility of a lockout when the current CBA expires in December 2026 closes out the discussion, along with a personal note on how a work stoppage would affect the people who depend on baseball's offseason calendar to network and find jobs in the industry.

Sustainable Growth Advisers (SGA), an investment management company, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter for its "Global Growth Strategy." The letter can be downloaded here. The SGA Global Growth Portfolio returned 7.4% gross and 7.2% net, compared with 14.9% for the MSCI ACWI and 19.8% for the MSCI ACWI Growth Index. Momentum leadership and enthusiasm around AI infrastructure drove markets, with semiconductor, memory, and hardware stocks accounting for much of the gain. Although the portfolio owned AI beneficiaries, broader holdings lagged despite fundamentals, as median revenue and EPS growth reached 12% and 14% and more than 60% of the holdings beat expectations. SGA believes valuation compression reflects sentiment rather than weaker business quality, leaving the portfolio near its widest discount to the market since inception. The firm continues to favor durable compounders and expects 16% revenue growth and 20% earnings growth over three years. Also, please check the Fund's top five holdings to see its best picks for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, SGA Global Growth Strategy highlighted Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX). Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX), a leading subscription-based streaming entertainment platform, detracted from performance during the quarter. On August 21, 2026, Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) closed at $79.59 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $331.41 billion. Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) posted a one‑month return of 13.05%, while its shares lost 34.66% over the past 52 weeks.
SGA Global Growth Strategy stated the following regarding Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) was a detractor from returns during the quarter after the stock came under pressure despite reporting solid first quarter results in April. Revenue grew 16% year-over-year, or 14% excluding FX, and operating income rose 18%, supported by strong growth in APAC and Latin America. Second quarter revenue guidance came in roughly 1% below expectations and EBIT guidance was 5% light due to content amortization timing. Management maintained full-year guidance of 11% to 13% revenue growth (excluding FX) and approximately 20% profit growth rather than raising it, which disappointed some investors who had anticipated a lift following the recent price hike and the removal of the Warner Bros.
Discovery deal overhang. With the Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition now behind it, management can refocus on the core business and deploy excess free cash flow toward AI investment and buybacks, including a new $25 billion authorization. On Monday, Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan continued to churn the bottom of the team's roster — signing tight end Ethan Conner and inside linebacker Jaheim Thomas while waiving center Jim Bonifas and cornerback Ahmari Harvey.
The moves come after Dolphins rookie linebacker Trey Moore suffered a non-disclosed injury during Saturday's preseason contest against the New York Giants that will keep the defender on the shelf for some time.
Miami's website had this to say about Thomas:
"Thomas appeared in 10 games with the Louisville Kings of the United Football League during the 2026 UFL season, recording 64 tackles (42 solo), 0.5 sack, 1.0 tackle for loss and two passes defensed. He also appeared in two postseason games and helped the Kings capture the 2026 United Bowl **** le. Thomas finished his collegiate career at Wisconsin (2024) after spending time at Arkansas (2023) and Cincinnati (2020-22). He appeared in 52 career games with 21 starts and recorded 236 tackles (97 solo), 7.0 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss and two passes defensed during his collegiate career."
