President Trump gathered top artificial intelligence leaders in Washington on Tuesday and doubled down on his opposition to government intervention, suggesting that "self-regulation" is the answer to growing worries about the technology getting out of human control.
"There's a belief that there should be tremendous self-regulation," the president said after meeting with the ***** embled CEOs. "There was a lot of commonality in this room."
Trump said he and the CEOs signed a "morally binding" accord that would keep the companies in line through "self-policing and group policing."
Trump posted a copy of the accord to his Truth Social account with a one-page document that called for each participating company to implement four different measures to safeguard the technology and added that, later on, "it might make sense to codify these steps into laws or regulations."
Some executives on hand said the accord included commitments to a combination of technological controls to detect problems with new models, internal risk review efforts, external auditors, and other measures.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Kristi Noem, the former governor of South Dakota and former secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, has filed for divorce from her husband, Bryon Noem, according to court records.
Kristi Noem filed for divorce in Hamlin County, South Dakota, on April 6, but the documents were not posted to the online court service until Monday. The basis for the divorce is irreconcilable differences, documents show.
The couple has been married since May 23, 1992, according to the documents. Speculation about the Noem marriage has swirled around the couple for several months.
When contacted by Nexstar’s KELO on Tuesday, Bryon Noem said, “I can’t comment right now.”
Attempts to reach Kristi Noem, who now serves as the Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, were unsuccessful.

An ancient ground carving that was severely damaged by the administration’s border wall construction was created before Stonehenge and Egypt’s oldest pyramid, according to recently publicized research.
The Las Playas Intaglio, a giant fish carved into the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, is now considered the oldest example in the Americas of a geoglyphic, the ancient art form that is carved into or drawn on the ground.
In April, contractors hired by the Trump administration to make way for a second wall along the Arizona-Mexico border “scraped” a 50-foot swath through the ancient carving, according to the Center for Biological Diversity, which documented the damage.
The intaglio on the ground of the ancestral homeland of the Tohono O’odham and other Indigenous tribes is estimated to be about 2,000 years older than Egypt’s first pyramid and to have been created about 1,500 years before the first construction of Stonehenge and 4,000 years before Peru’s Nazca Lines, researchers have found.
The formerly 272-foot carving had originally been thought to be about 1,000 years old. But the latest research dates the art’s creation to at least 6,500 years ago, and possibly as much as 7,500 years ago.

Investors eager to buy into the futuristic vision of profitable driverless vehicles will get their chance soon. May Mobility is aiming to become the first U.S. publicly listed pure-play option for an autonomous ride-hailing technology company. It is poised to go public through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), merging with ACP Holdings Acquisition (NASDAQ: ACGC) that values the combined company at roughly $1.4 billion.
It's expected to operate as May Mobility. trading on the Nasdaq exchange under MAY. But before investors get too excited, let's pump the brakes and take a look at the details.

It's easy for investors to get excited about the opportunity, but many might not be aware of the potential market size or growth prospects. The global robotaxi market is projected to reach about $415 billion by 2035, with the U.S. accounting for a roughly $48 billion slice of that pie. The fleet of U.S. commercial autonomous vehicles (AVs) is projected to expand from only about 4,000 vehicles currently to around 35,000 by 2030 -- or about 8% of the ride-sharing market.
A year ago this month, Bank of America projected that the long-term U.S. total addressable market (TAM) for AV ride-hailing is a trillion-dollar opportunity as companies such as May Mobility aim to replace the drivers that take roughly 70% of every fare. It's also important for investors to realize how early in the game this is: Alphabet's Waymo, with an estimated $350 million in annualized revenue, would represent only about 0.5% of U.S. ride-hailing bookings.

Giants pass rusher Brian Burns' season appears to be over.
Burns is believed to have suffered a torn ACL on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter.
The injury is a devastating one for the Giants' defense. Burns has started every game for the Giants since they traded for him in 2024, and last year he had a career-high 16.5 sacks.
Burns is in the third year of the five-year, $141 million contract he signed in 2024.
Until late last week, Burns was expected to miss Sunday's game because of the low ankle sprain he suffered the week before. Instead he played, and played what turned out to be his last game of the season.

Even wilder, Beatles insider Chris O'Dell says she was actually sitting at Ringo's kitchen table when George finally told him, "I'm in love with your wife." According to O'Dell, Ringo responded, "Better you than someone we don't know." O'Dell said Ringo was nevertheless heartbroken by what happened. (Ringo got remarried in 1981 to Bond girl Barbara Bach, so he's doing alright!)
Somehow, George and Ringo's friendship survived and they worked together many more times (notably on the Beatles' reunion tracks "Free as a Bird," "Real Love," and "Now and Then.") When George died in 2001, Ringo called him "a best friend of mine," adding, "I loved him very much."

On September 17, shares of Marvell Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRVL) and GLOBALFOUNDRIES Inc. (NASDAQ:GFS) moved sharply higher, with Marvell Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRVL) gaining more than 4% and GLOBALFOUNDRIES Inc. (NASDAQ:GFS) rising more than 6% by the end of the trading session.
Reuters reported that the two companies have expanded their agreement to increase production capacity for silicon germanium (SiGe), a semiconductor technology used in high-speed optical connections for data centers. The multi-year agreement will expand capacity for GLOBALFOUNDRIES Inc.'s (NASDAQ:GFS) SiGe technology at its facility in Burlington, Vermont. SiGe allows semiconductor devices to operate at higher speeds while using less energy, making it increasingly important as data centers handle larger volumes of data.
Robb Johnson, Vice President, Foundry Technology at Marvell Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRVL) said the expanded collaboration will help ensure that the company has the "SiGe technology and manufacturing capacity to support the significant growth" it expects ahead.
According to the report, the increased manufacturing capacity will help Marvell Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRVL) meet growing demand for optical networking products, including pluggable optical transceivers, near-packaged optics, and co-packaged optics.
GlobalFoundries Is Seeing Strong SiGe Demand

When Christmas rolls around, my wife puts out a very small tree and some stuffed ornaments we bought a few years ago at Target. That's a pretty modest approach to decorating for the holidays compared to many of our neighbors.
At the house we just moved out of, some homes added tasteful lights, others opted for religious displays, and a few opted for a whole lot of inflatables. In some cases, the spending was significant, although many of the items were reused year after year.
Decorations are a small but meaningful part of holiday spending.
Americans planned to spend an average of $1,172 on travel, $632 on gifts, $351 on entertaining, and $227 on decorations, according to a BMO survey conducted before the 2024 holiday season.
Getting those items may be more of a challenge this year, as Gordon Companies, which runs a number of Christmas-themed websites and lists Target, Kohl's, Home Depot, Walmart, Amazon, Lowe's, and Michaels as retail partners, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Millions of Americans recently received unwelcome news about their cell phone bills.
In late June, T-Mobile (TMUS) said it was retiring over 1,000 older plans, shifting customers to newer offerings at an added cost of as much as $6 per line per month. And starting in August, AT&T (T) hiked rates on some of its older plans by $10 to $20 and increased a monthly per-line fee by $1.
The changes contributed to a steep 5.9% jump in Americans' wireless bills from July to August alone, according to Consumer Price Index data. It was the largest single-month jump since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking the category nearly three decades ago.
In a twist, last month's rising phone bills may have helped convince the Federal Reserve to implement its first interest rate hike in three years. The steep price jump likely contributed about 10 basis points of August's 0.3% month-over-month rise in core consumer prices, according to Wall Street ******* ysts. The hotter-than-expected jump in this category, which strips out price changes in the particularly volatile food and energy sectors, helped cement expectations for the Fed's 25 basis point hike to benchmark rates last Wednesday.

Morgan Stanley has cut Novo Nordisk A/S (NYSE:NVO) to Underweight on September 11, 2026. Semaglutide, the underlying molecule for Wegovy and Ozempic, generates roughly 75% of 2026 revenue. Morgan Stanley models that it will still represent 59% of total sales when its patent protection expires in 2031. And according to the firm, the valuation does not price in the impact it has on Novo's terminal value. The stock, currently trading at 10.6x earnings and down 33% from its 52-week high, slipped another 2% following the call. At this point, the question isn't about whether the patent cliff is real or not, but whether the 10x multiple reflects an actual bargain.
Semaglutide loses exclusivity in Europe in 2031 and the US in 2032. And Morgan Stanley believes Novo's oral-obesity business, projected to reach $10 billion by 2031, could not offset the pricing collapse after the arrival of generics. Growth decelerates to a 4% compound rate between 2027 and 2030. If the deceleration continues, it will justify 10x earnings as a fair price instead of a cheap one.
The 10.6x multiple already prices aggressive pessimism into a market leader of one of the fastest-growing drug classes in history. Morgan Stanley fueled the pessimism by discounting a 2031 cliff five years earlier. However, pharmaceutical patent expirations frequently face extensions and prove difficult to time. Second, the ***** umption that oral obesity treatments cannot offset patent losses relies on oral semaglutide being the bridge. But Novo's next-generation portfolio, including CagriSema and amycretin, offers a significant defense against the patent cliff. This remains unproven, however, specifically after CagriSema's earlier weight-loss data failed to impress, yet Morgan Stanley's terminal-value model discounts this pipeline almost entirely. The company is also expanding its franchise. On September 7, the STEP Young trial hit its endpoint in children aged six to twelve, strengthening the base its successors inherit.
The smart money is leaning in. As per the Insider Monkey database, 59 hedge funds held NVO in the second quarter of 2026, up from 55 in the first, indicating a slight increase in the modest institutional interest in the stock. Short interest on the ADR is negligible at about 0.7%. The positioning reflects a beaten-down value stock quietly seeing institutional accumulation while Wall Street turns increasingly bearish.

President Donald Trump’s sinking ratings threaten to drag down Republicans in November’s midterm elections, as voters blame him for high prices and a shaky economy, according to a new NBC News poll.
The president’s approval rating stands at 41% among registered voters, a second-term low in the poll, with a majority (55%) of voters saying they believe Trump’s policies have hurt the economy. That’s up from 48% in March, before the Iran war pushed up prices on gas and other goods and cemented the rising cost of living as voters’ most pressing issue.
Democrats hold a 5-point edge in the battle for control of Congress, 50%-45% — not nearly as large a lead as the 12-point advantage the party enjoyed at this point before the 2018 election, when Democrats rode an anti-Trump wave to the House majority in his first midterm as president. Despite that lead, the Democratic Party is still viewed more negatively than Trump and the GOP.
That could help Republicans, along with the fact that the fight for control of the House and especially the Senate is playing out in traditionally Republican parts of the country. Democrats would have to flip multiple states Trump carried by double digits in 2024 to win the Senate.
“We have a classic battle between these numbers and the political geography in which this campaign will be decided,” said Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies, whose firm conducted the survey alongside Democratic firm Hart Research ***** ociates. “And the Republicans are still standing because of the geography in which this election will be won or lost.”

Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT) fiscal 2026, which ended June 30, was arguably the strongest year in the software giant's history. Revenue grew 18% to $331.8 billion. Net income jumped 31% year over year, to $133.7 billion.
Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) is approaching that number from a different direction. The memory specialist earned $8.5 billion in its fiscal 2025.

But for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2026, which ended in early September, management guided to earnings of $30.73 per diluted share, plus or minus $1.00, on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis. On about 1.15 billion diluted shares, the guidance works out to about $35 billion of profit in one quarter (about four times what the whole prior fiscal year produced).
Here's my prediction: In fiscal 2027, Micron will earn more than Microsoft. That means beating the year Microsoft is now in, not the one it just reported. It's a bold call, and it relies almost entirely on the price of memory.

No matter how well you plan for retirement, there are surprises that could throw you for a loop. The stock market might crash unexpectedly. Your healthcare costs might increase. Or, worse yet, you could end up needing long-term care at some point.
But one hiccup you should know to plan for is inflation. Over time, the cost of living is likely to rise. And if you aren't prepared, you could easily end up losing out on buying power. These two adjustments to your retirement plan could help you avoid that fate.

It's fairly common for retirees to reduce their stock holdings to minimize risk in their portfolios. But while it's OK to de-risk to some degree, you don't want to dump your stocks completely. Doing so could cause your portfolio to trail inflation, leading you to lose buying power and putting your savings at risk of being depleted.
If you're not comfortable holding individual stocks in retirement, buy shares of an S&P 500 exchange-traded fund (ETF). This effectively gives you exposure to the market. Or load up on dividend ETFs that generate steady income.

Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang is challenging the people warning that AI could end humanity, suggesting their alarming predictions may serve another purpose.
Speaking with CBS News, Huang rejected the 'AI apocalypse' debate and questioned the motives behind those spreading that fear, adding a sharper edge to an increasingly public industry split.
OpenAI and Anthropic leaders, alongside Elon Musk, have backed calls to slow advanced AI development over safety concerns and fears that the technology might be advancing quicker than companies can control it, as reported by Financial Times.
For Nvidia investors, that debate carries financial weight. Shares have returned 20% year-to-date and 23% over the six months, according to Seeking Alpha data.
A coordinated slowdown could complicate the spending boom supporting its chip business. Huang's response, however, reaches beyond defending continued investment.

Speaking with CBS News, Huang rejected the 'AI apocalypse' debate and questioned the motives behind those spreading that fear, adding a sharper edge to an increasingly public industry split.

Though it's down by 33% over the last five years, Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) climbed from about $130 in early 2020 to over $4,800 in early November 2021, which would have been sufficient to turn an investment of $27,000 into about $1 million. It's natural for investors to wonder if another historic run is in the cards for the coin, given that it's more widely known now than it was then.
Today, with a market cap of $292 billion as of Sept. 15, Ethereum can still grow your wealth substantially, but it probably won't be a millionaire maker for those with small positions anytime soon. Let's first look at the math to see why, then examine its upcoming catalysts.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 15x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our **** ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
Ethereum isn't going to be a millionaire-maker investment from here, even if you're willing to pony up a lot more capital than most investors have on hand or are willing to allocate to a lottery ticket, and even if it becomes the next cryptocurrency to explode.
Turning $10,000 into $1 million requires a 100x gain, which would boost Ethereum's market cap to $29.2 trillion.

Gold is the ******* et people buy when they have stopped believing in promises. Then most of them hand it to a bank in another country for safekeeping, which is itself a promise.
That arrangement is older than most of the world's central banks. The Bank of England has provided gold custody services to developing nations for decades, according to Reuters, and it usually works for the simple reason that ******* ody involved has any incentive to argue about it.
Custody is boring. It stays boring right up until two governments claim the same account.
Then the metal in the vault ceases to be a reserve ******* et and becomes a legal exhibit. It does not move, and it does not get sold.
It sits in a basement in London, earning nothing and settling nothing, while lawyers on two continents argue over whose signature counts on the paperwork.

The Vanguard Bond Market ETF (NASDAQ:BND) is the largest bond ETF with nearly $162.3 billion in ***** ets. If you invested $10,000 into BND today, it could grow into over $18,000 in 20 years, given its historical 3% annualized return since inception (assuming you reinvest your interest payments). That's likely a lot less than you'd earn if you invested the same amount in an S&P 500 index fund. However, bonds are income generators and portfolio stabilizers, not wealth-building tools.
Here's a look at why you might still want to consider investing in this top bond ETF, despite its low historical returns.

A Wall Street Journal report on September 16 revealed that ExxonMobil Holdings Corporation (NYSE:XOM) is nearing a preliminary agreement with Venezuela's state-owned PDVSA, potentially marking its return to the country almost two decades after its ***** ets were nationalized. According to Reuters, Exxon has shown interest in the large Petromonagas heavy oil project in the Orinoco Belt, as well as in areas in the neighboring Carabobo block.
While the talks are still in their preliminary phase and could still fall apart or be delayed, they mark a major turnaround from Exxon's previous stance on Venezuela. The company's CEO, Darren Woods, stated in January that the country was "uninvestable" without durable investment protections, legal reforms, and changes to its hydrocarbon laws.
The development comes amid a broader push by the Trump administration to open Venezuela's oil industry to American companies and revive the country's dilapidated oil infrastructure. The South American nation is sitting on the largest proven crude oil reserves in the world, accounting for roughly 17% of the global total.
Venezuela could provide Exxon with access to an enormous resource base at a time when the company is actively seeking low-cost and long-duration ***** ets. The fields under consideration are estimated to contain more than 50 billion barrels of oil buried underground.
Exxon already holds an advantage through its previous experience in the country. Petromonagas, formerly called Cerro Negro, was once the energy firm's flagship project in Venezuela, giving it familiarity with the country's vast heavy and extra-heavy crude resources. Petromonagas also remains one of the few Venezuelan projects with an operational upgrader capable of turning the Orinoco's extra-heavy crude into lighter exportable grades.

Americans have paid about $97 billion more for fuel since the Iran war started in late February, roughly $740 extra per household, according to CNN. President Trump says prices will come down after the midterms. The CEO of Chevron just said publicly he does not see how that happens quickly.
Mike Wirth, Chevron's chairman and chief executive, spoke at a University of Texas at Austin energy conference on September 11. He told the audience that the mechanisms that helped absorb the oil supply shock earlier in the conflict have largely been used up, and that prices are more likely to rise than fall over the next few months.
When the U.S.-Iran conflict began, the oil market had several ways to handle the disruption. Countries could release crude from strategic reserves. Commercial inventories could be drawn down. The U.S. eased restrictions on sanctioned crude stored on vessels at sea. Those measures helped limit the initial price spike.
"Those have largely now played out," Wirth said. The energy system no longer has the buffers it had when the war began.
The loss of flexibility became more acute after attacks knocked out a major Saudi crude pipeline that had been bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. That single disruption put an estimated 2.5 million barrels of oil per day in limbo, tightening a market that was already running short on supply.

It's been a disappointing couple of years for shareholders of biotechnology outfit CRISPR Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CRSP). This stock's barely up since the end of 2022, lagging the broad market's gains. It's not the performance that investors keeping tabs on this company were expecting, given its potential.
Don't be discouraged, though. While still speculative like most young biotech names, CRISPR Therapeutics remains a compelling prospect for investors who can stomach the risk and its inevitable volatility. Here's why.

On the off-chance you're reading this and aren't already familiar with the company, CRISPR Therapeutics is a drug developer that specializes in gene editing.
It's probably an area you've heard a great deal about. No gene-editing drugs were actually on the market in the United States until CRISPR Therapeutics' Casgevy was approved by the FDA as a treatment for sickle cell disease in late 2023. Any and all gene therapies currently on the market followed this pioneer's foray. Being first is a well-deserved accolade for the company, too, which was co-founded by Dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier, who was one of the co-discoverers of the CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing mechanism that makes Casgevy work.

Targa Resources Corp. (NYSE:TRGP) has significantly outperformed the wider market this year, posting gains of over 56% since the beginning of 2026. A major catalyst behind this growth was the 20-year fee-based agreement that the company signed with ExxonMobil last month.
While there are concerns that the stock's rally may have topped out, the **** ysts over at TD Cowen see further growth ahead. On September 18, the firm upgraded TRGP from 'Hold' to Buy', while also boosting its price target from $275 to $350. The revised target implies an upside of almost 20% from the current levels and even exceeds the stock's record high of just under $308 achieved last month.
TD Cowen cited Targa's expected Permian Basin wet gas growth and peer-leading EBITDA growth for the upgrade. The **** yst expects the company's free cash flow yield to rise from 6% in 2026 to more than 10% in 2028, compared with an estimated 8.5% FCF yield for peers in 2030. The improvement is expected to be driven by EBITDA growth from new processing plants and the completion of a major capital project in the Speedway NGL pipeline.
According to TD Cowen, a key driver for Targa's growth is the rising wet gas production in the Permian, which means that the **** yst's thesis is tied to physical volume growth rather than simply a higher-commodity price **** umption.
Targa's recently announced deal with ExxonMobil provides greater visibility into future volumes and infrastructure demand. The company has also planned three new natural gas processing plants in the Permian Delaware as part of the deal, with an aggregate capacity of roughly 825 MMcf/day. Targa expects this agreement to add significantly to its "strong growth rate well into the next decade and bolster its outlook for durable and growing adjusted free cash flow over the long term".

Elon Musk has never shied away from ambitious timelines, and his most recent one connects two companies directly together. In a post on X dated September 13, Musk stated that he is "highly confident" that **** e Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) will transport NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) Vera Rubin NVL72 AI computers into orbit next year, repeating a plan that has already moved both companies' stock this year.
The comment strengthens **** eX's Starmind concept, which aims to establish AI data centers in orbit rather than on the ground. The first satellite, named Starmind AI1, will carry a **** e-optimized version of NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale system. The standard terrestrial NVL72 combines 72 Rubin GPUs and 36 Vera CPUs, although **** eX and NVIDIA have not disclosed the final configuration of the orbital version. **** e Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) plans to launch the satellite in the fourth quarter of 2027 and reach substantial scale by 2028. Musk's plan isn't new; during **** eX's first earnings conference as a public company in August, he stated that the company would build exclusively on NVIDIA hardware in the future, calling the Vera Rubin architecture the best available AI computer design.
Musk's central point is that **** e is, in the long run, the most cost-effective area to develop AI computing. He cites solar power availability in orbit as a crucial advantage, and estimates that within two to three years, **** e might become the lowest-cost place for AI computing in general, describing the orbital architecture as simpler, less expensive, denser, and lighter than a standard data-center rack. Not everyone believes the physics and economics will align on Musk's timeframe. Microsoft President Brad Smith has publicly questioned the broader concept, telling reporters that he would be surprised if companies actually transferred computation from land to low-Earth orbit.
For NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), the read-through is simple: **** e-based computing would represent a new, if early-stage and speculative, source of demand for its Vera Rubin platform, on top of the company's strong position in terrestrial AI infrastructure. According to some **** yst models, **** eX accounts for approximately 5% of NVIDIA's revenue.
SpaceX's reasoning is more convoluted. The plan is entirely dependent on the success of Starship, **** eX's next-generation rocket system, which still needs to demonstrate its capacity to handle launch frequency and reliability on the scale Musk describes. When Musk said during **** eX's August earnings call that the company would build its future AI infrastructure exclusively on NVIDIA, NVDA shares rose more than 4%, while **** eX's shares fell more than 10% before paring losses, reflecting investor concerns about execution risk and capital intensity, despite the fact that the NVIDIA relationship was well received.

Anthropic's initial public offering (IPO) appears to be on pace to take place in late October or early November. Right now, it is difficult for retail investors to get a stake in the artificial intelligence (AI) giant, which is one of the fastest-growing businesses in the world.
But there is an investment you could make that would get you sizable indirect exposure to Anthropic ahead of its listing. Zoom Communications (NASDAQ: ZM), the leading cloud video conferencing company, bought a stake in Anthropic back in May 2023, and that investment could now be worth billions.

Let's see whether that makes Zoom stock a buy right now.
Zoom made a $51 million investment in Anthropic in May 2023, and that has turned out to be one of the smartest decisions the company has ever made (maybe even smarter than its choice to go public right before the pandemic).

Morgan Stanley met privately with Gilead Sciences (GILD) leadership at its 2026 Global Healthcare Conference this month, and the feedback strengthened the bank's positive view on the stock.
Morgan Stanley's biopharma team hosted a meeting and a management dinner with Gilead Chairman and CEO Daniel O'Day and Chief Commercial and Corporate Affairs Officer Johanna Mercier. According to a Morgan Stanley research note shared with me, the discussion reinforced its Overweight rating on Gilead and singled out one franchise as the biggest reason to stay positive.
Gilead trades around $150.89, up about 24% year to date and roughly 111% over five years. That kind of run in a biotech stock usually needs a catalyst, and Morgan Stanley points to HIV prevention. The bigger question for investors now is whether the new HIV prevention business built around Yeztugo can keep growing at the pace of the last few quarters.
Terence Flynn, a Morgan Stanley equity **** yst who covers Gilead and other healthcare stocks has held an Overweight rating on the stock since January 2025.
According to the note, Gilead management described the company as being at "an important inflection point, supported by what it views as the most robust portfolio in the company's history," with no patent expiring until 2036.

GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE:GEV) received a boost on September 16 after CEO Scott Strazik stated that the company's backlog could hit the $200 billion mark "very early" in 2027, sooner than Wall Street had expected. The company expects the "strong and durable demand" to drive accelerated growth after its backlog had reached $167 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2026.
GEV has gained by almost 50% over the last year but is down by more than 14% over the last month, reflecting growing investor concerns surrounding the AI trade. The stock also came under pressure on September 14 when GLJ Research slammed it with a 'Sell' rating and a Street-low price target of $470, describing the company as "a cyclical gas turbine manufacturer priced as a secular compounder".
The update builds on extraordinarily strong momentum for GE Vernova, powered by the incredibly strong demand for its power equipment amid the AI data center boom. The company's backlog of $176 billion at the end of Q2 grew $13 billion from the previous quarter and was up 37% YoY, providing it with visibility into earnings well into the 2030s.
Notably, GE Vernova is translating this demand into financial improvement rather than simply a very large order book. The company's revenue grew by 22% YoY to $11.1 billion in the second quarter, while its free cash flow reached $5.1 billion, already exceeding its full-year 2025 level. Given the high demand, GEV raised its 2026 revenue forecast to $45.5 billion-$46.5 billion, up from its previous range of $44.5 billion-$45.5 billion.
The ongoing AI boom has been a major growth catalyst for GE Vernova, as its data center-related orders exceeded $5 billion in the first half of this year, more than double 2025's total. According to Barron's, power availability has become a key constraint for data center operators, and this strong demand has effectively constrained GEV's turbine capacity, which can support pricing and the value of scarce delivery slots.

According to Barron's, power availability has become a key constraint for data center operators, and this strong demand has effectively constrained GEV's turbine capacity, which can support pricing and the value of scarce delivery slots.
