Meghan Markle is reportedly finding it difficult to watch Kate Middleton and Prince William emerge as Hollywood's latest favorites. According to a source, the ****** ss of Sussex feels the royal couple has stepped into what she considers her territory. The insider also shared details about how Meghan is reportedly handling the shift in the spotlight.
Meghan Markle is reportedly envious of Prince William and Kate Middleton's warm Hollywood welcome, according to a source. An insider told Closer that the shift has reportedly struck a nerve with Meghan. "For her, it's especially hard to take because Hollywood is her world," the insider said. According to the outlet, the source added that the ****** ss still has plenty of career ambitions she hopes to pursue.
The insider also pointed to the longstanding comparisons between Meghan and Kate, which date back to the ****** ss' entry into the royal family. Seeing the Princess of Wales walk the red carpet alongside Tom Cruise during the recent premiere of "Digger" has reportedly been "triggering a lot of jealousy" for Meghan.
The ****** ss grew up in Hollywood and spent years as an actress on the US legal drama "Suits," where she played Rachel Zane for seven seasons. She left the series in 2018 ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry.
After the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020, they settled in Montecito, California, and signed a production deal with Netflix. They went on to release the docuseries "Harry & Meghan," while Meghan also fronted the lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan."

Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun's reported relationship appears to be moving into more serious territory, with the couple now said to be discussing what a future family could look like.
The conversations reportedly extend beyond marriage, as Braun is said to feel strongly about having children.
That development has also been linked to Sweeney's reported interest in Judaism, following recent appearances with Braun at synagogue services and reports that she has already spoken with rabbis about potentially converting.

Usha Vance experienced a terrifying moment on October 5 when she stepped off a helicopter at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
The Second Lady nearly stumbled down the aircraft's metal steps while carrying her baby boy, Alec, who was securely strapped to her chest in a carrier.
The scary incident unfolded as Usha — who was accompanied by her family — prepared to board a flight to Alaska where the Vice President, JD Vance will speak at a Republican National Committee rally in support of Senator Dan Sullivan.
Usha suffered a close-call
She was juggling her two-month-old infant alongside a large bag when she appeared to lose her footing near the bottom of the staircase.

Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) has been a reliable healthcare company to invest in for decades, also providing shareholders with some terrific dividend income along the way. Nowadays, however, it's struggling to attract any investors at all.
While its shares are up over 10% this year, over the past five years, they're still down 35%. Worries about its future growth and the safety of the payout are keeping investors away. Here's why I think that's a mistake, and why it may just be the most underrated dividend stock out there today.

Many investors may scoff at stocks that have high yields, out of fear that they simply are too good to be true, and that a cut could be due. But that isn't always the case. In fact, there can be low and modest-yielding stocks that can be riskier. Yield is not always indicative of risk.

Dakota Johnson's "Saturday Night Live" monologue was interrupted this week by the actress' "literal therapist," Taylor Swift, who bonded with the host over their shared experiences dating musicians who "don't wear shoes" and happen to be "terrible in bed."
Johnson kicked off her "SNL" run this week with a joke about her failed 2024 superhero movie "Madame Web," which she remarked she is still promoting because "it hasn't made any money yet." Afterward, the actress reflected on the other turns her life has taken since she last hosted "SNL."
"I went through two very public, very lame breakups with two very awesome musicians. Looking for a third," Johnson joked, referencing her splits from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Role Model singer-songwriter Tucker Pillsbury. While she vowed not to talk anymore about her personal life, Johnson's monologue was derailed again after she noted that her new movie, "Verity," is a psychosexual erotic thriller.
"So is dating musicians. Some of them don't wear shoes. Some of them are terrible in bed. But all of them are in my DMs," Johnson said. "Some people leave concerts with merch, and I leave concerts with a two-and-a-half year relationship." Thankfully, Johnson said she has "good friends" who do not judge her for her dating choices.
Enter: Swift, whom Johnson called her "literal therapist," much to the former's discomfort. "I'm not your therapist, actually. You just show up once a week at my house with an empty bottle of wine and ask if I want some," Swift said.

"I want to be alone." The despairing words spoken by Greta Garbo while being spied on by a thief in her 1932 film Grand Hotel, have been injected with chilling new irony. Using the latest AI technique, the starlet has been brought back to life to flog ball bearings in an advert by the industrial Swedish Company SKF. And what a terrifying spectacle it makes.
The lifelike precision is terrific, from the smoky, undulating voice to the thin pencilled eyebrows that twitch between anxiety and hauteur.
At the same time there is something deathly about the figment. What made Garbo so brilliant to watch was that you didn't know where the woman started and the character began; when the camera was rolling she didn't so much perform as emerge. Her AI rendition has magnetism without presence.
True, the animation deploys cutting-edge AI techniques to evade successfully what is known as the "uncanny valley" trap, the nausea that people feel when faced with simulations that nearly – but do not quite – resemble real humans. But simulations like Greta's arguably occupy a new ******* e that one might call the "immaculate void".
Garbo's family gave their permission for the ad. But it's impossible to know how Garbo herself would have felt about it. As we extract commercial value from the departed without their consent, it begs the question: are we any better than Egyptian grave robbers, who sacrilegiously plundered the dead?

Los Angeles County judge granted a temporary restraining order against Olivier Martinez for abusing his ex-wife, Halle Berry, as per the allegations made by the French actor. According to him, Halle Berry choked their 12-year-old son, Maceo, during a fight between them at her house.
In court documents that were initially disclosed to TMZ, 60-year-old Olivier alleges that 60-year-old Berry physically attacked their son in a violent manner on September 26. Also, he is requesting custody rights over the minor. Berry's lawyer describes the court document as being baseless.
According to the filing, Berry entered Maceo's room while he was playing virtual reality games and became furious because he looked "stupid" for playing. Martinez said Berry's fiancé, musician Van Hunt, was at their place during the altercation.
It is alleged in the documents that the fight became violent as Berry hopped onto their son, grabbed him around the neck, and started strangling him. Meanwhile, she was saying, "Who is dominant now?" The filing alleges that Maceo later called his father to tell him what happened.
It is also alleged that the following day, Berry texted Olivier that she felt "terrible" about the entire episode.

Ben Affleck once escaped a terrifying teenage mugging after recognizing the boys holding him at knifepoint. Years later, he learned one of those boys had killed someone and served 20 years in prison.
The actor recently revisited the encounter while reflecting on his childhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts. What began as a frightening walk home eventually became a memory that followed him into parenthood.
Affleck shared the story during an interview with Kerry Washington on her Street You Grew Up On podcast. He recalled walking home from high school at around 15 when two boys in hoods crossed the street toward him. Affleck initially considered running but decided against it. "They pass me, grab me, take a knife out: 'Gimme your money,'" he recalled. "And I was like, 'Oh!' I was scared."
The situation changed when Affleck recognized the teenagers from playing baseball. The boys also recognized him, turning the encounter from a mugging into a strange neighborhood exchange. "So I was like, 'I guess I'm off the hook?'" he remembered. Affleck later discovered that one of the boys had taken a much darker path. "That kid who robbed me ended up three or four years later killing somebody with a knife and going to prison for 20 years," he said.
He also admitted that he never told his mother about the incident. Affleck said he avoided worrying her and now regretted keeping difficult experiences to himself. "I didn't wanna worry her. I didn't wanna scare her," he explained. That silence became especially meaningful after Affleck became a father. "You guys know you can tell me anything. Anything! I'm so cool with anything you have to say," he recalled telling his children.

COPENHAGEN, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Denmark and Greenland on Saturday said any agreement with the United States would not compromise Greenland's sovereignty, after President Donald Trump said the deal would give Washington "permanent control" over the Arctic ‌island's security, leaving its precise scope unclear.

Denmark and Greenland expressed hope that a deal, which is expected to be signed during the UN General ******* embly next week, would end months of uncertainty triggered by Trump's threats to seize control of Greenland.

George Kamel argues paying $115,000 into Social Security over a career costs workers roughly $2 million in foregone investment returns at a 10% return.
The 2026 Trustees Report moved Social Security's projected depletion date to 2032, forecasting a 22% benefit cut averaging $500 per month for retirees.
Kamel's comparison ignores that Social Security includes inflation adjustments, disability coverage, and lifetime income that a brokerage account cannot replicate.

Personal finance personality George Kamel recently ran the numbers on Social Security and reached a conclusion designed to grab attention: "all those years of paying into Social Security cost you about $2 million". If you are at or near retirement, that framing is either clarifying or terrifying. The stakes are real. Millions of households will lean on this program for most of their retirement income, and the 2026 Trustees Reports have changed the timeline everyone is working with.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but college is awfully expensive.
Depending on where someone goes to school, they can be left with a lot of debt — an albatross that can hang around their neck for decades. Among 401(k) plan participants in their 40s, those with student loan debt had median retirement account balances roughly 45% lower than those without, according to a new report from the Employee Benefit Research Institute.
The best option is to figure out scholarships, financial aid, debt timelines and what school makes financial sense before going to college. But that's not reality for many clients, leaving advisors to help fit student debt into a financial plan that balances both loans and savings. "The biggest mistake I see is treating student loans as an all-or-nothing problem," said Corinna Rose, a CFP with Bell Investment Advisors. "Many borrowers think they need to eliminate every dollar of debt before they can start investing."

Kestra Medical Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:KMTS) reported on September 14 that fiscal first-quarter 2027 revenue increased 60% to $31.0 million. Gross margin reached 56.5%, up from 45.7%, for the quarter ended July 31, 2026.
Management raised fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $141 million from $137 million, implying 48% annual growth. The outlook strengthens the commercial story, but the expanding organization still consumes substantially more than the business generates in gross profit.
Kestra Medical Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:KMTS) attributed revenue growth to wearable cardioverter defibrillator market expansion, competitive share gains, new sales territories, a higher proportion of in-network patients and improvements in revenue cycle management.
These drivers suggest several ways to expand: reach more patients, improve reimbursement outcomes, and collect revenue more effectively. Their investment value depends on sustaining growth without requiring a matching increase in support costs.
Gross profit nearly doubled to $17.5 million from $8.9 million. Management attributed the margin improvement to higher volume, the in-network patient mix, and cost initiatives. The company is retaining more of each revenue dollar to fund selling expenses and product development.

Matt Bell, 52, has been farming for more than half his life in central North Carolina. He grows soybeans, corn and wheat and raises beef cattle on more than 1,000 acres. But Bell, who voted for President Trump, says soaring prices for fuel, fertilizer, and equipment are hurting his farm and leading some of his fellow farmers to consider calling it quits once this growing season ends.
"I've done this 34 years. I have never worried and stressed like I have the last year," Bell told CBS News in an interview on Wednesday at his farm in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
Bell has been forced to make significant changes to his operation as a result of the high costs. He's shifting some of his acreage, trying to stretch out the lifespan of his equipment and producing his own fertilizer. His children have also opened up a storefront where visitors can pick pumpkins and take hayrides in the fall. But Bell is still feeling the pinch.
"We've cut everything we can cut," he said. "The last several years in agriculture have been terrible, and we have, you know, just cut the fat anywhere we could. But we're just getting to the point now there's nothing left to cut. You cannot run without fuel. You cannot run without fertilizer. You have to have that."

Teck Resources Ltd (NYSE:TECK) stock's pullback from its Sept. 8 record high of $72.56 has found support at the 60-, 80-, and 100-day moving averages. The 100-day trendline in particular is a historically bullish signal that presents an intriguing 'buy the dip' angle.
Per Schaeffer's Senior Quantitative ******* yst Rocky White, TECK has traded within 0.75 times the 100-day moving average's 20-day average true range (ATR) after spending at least 80% of the previous two weeks and 80% of the prior 42 trading sessions above the trendline. This setup has occurred eight other times over the last decade, after which the stock was higher one month later 75% of the time, averaging a large 13.8% gain.
Short interest accounts for a healthy 7.5% of the stock's available float, leaving ample sideline buying power should some of these bearish bets begin to unwind. TECK's 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 28.4 also sits in "oversold" territory, which often precedes a short-term bounce.
Plus, TECK's Schaeffer's Volatility Scorecard (SVS) sits at 81 out of 100, suggesting the shares have tended to outperform options traders' volatility expectations during the past year.

Investors continue to ask for more timely information, even as the volume available to them expands. A 2026 CFA Institute survey of 2,500 **** ysts and portfolio managers found that 62% opposed replacing quarterly reporting with semiannual reporting. Nearly 85% expressed concern about comparability if companies and investment managers could determine their own reporting frequency and format. Access remains important, while interpretation requires a separate discipline.
The demand also concerns the quality of disclosure. PwC's 2025 Global Investor Survey, covering 1,074 investment professionals across 26 countries and territories, found that only 37% believed companies disclosed enough about artificial intelligence strategies and policies. Respondents wanted greater transparency around innovation strategies, AI investment, and expected returns. These findings suggest that investors can face abundant commentary while still lacking the evidence needed to **** s a thesis.
Commercial incentives add another layer. A 2025 CFA Institute report examined continuation funds, in which a manager can oversee both the vehicle selling an **** et and the vehicle buying it. The report recognized the structure's liquidity role and identified conflicts requiring fair processes and governance. The example illustrates why informed **** ysis and aligned incentives are separate considerations.
That distinction applies beyond any single investment structure. Managers often possess valuable operational knowledge because they work directly with **** ets, tenants and financing markets. They may also be raising capital for the strategies they discuss. Their commercial interest becomes additional context for investors weighing forecasts, market narratives and recommendations alongside independently produced evidence. That context can help an investment committee separate a source's knowledge of the market from the confidence it should place in the source's preferred outcome during capital allocation.

U.S. diesel prices have moved into record territory. The national average price of diesel climbed to a record $6.23 per gallon on Sept. 14, after first breaking above the $6 threshold last week. And diesel is hitting new highs again today at around $6.31. According to AAA data, the national average diesel price reached about $6.05 per gallon on Sept. 11, 2026, surpassing the previous record established in June 2022. The latest price is roughly 68% higher than the level of about $3.71 per gallon a year ago, highlighting the extraordinary speed of the rally.
The surge is being driven by a global shortage of refined petroleum products rather than crude oil alone. Disruptions to Middle Eastern energy infrastructure, sharply reduced traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, and attacks on Russian refineries have reduced the availability of diesel and other middle distillates. The situation has become serious enough that diesel prices are now adding to broader inflation concerns while simultaneously creating a potentially attractive environment for U.S. refiners.

The stock market is rarely boring, but 2026 has seemed especially wild, if you ask me. After narrowly avoiding a correction to begin the year, the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) is up 20% from its low in March. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) both slipped into full correction territory -- meaning a decline of 20% or more -- but are now up 16% and 26%, respectively.
All three stock indexes are just a few percentage points off their all-time highs. That has some investors nervous.

Some refiners in ******* an this week rushed to buy Oman's crude for earlier loadings after Saudi Arabia shut down its key pipeline bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, traders with knowledge of the purchases told Bloomberg on Wednesday.
Late last week, Saudi Arabia was forced to temporarily shut down the East-West oil pipeline following drone attacks launched from the territory of Iraq close to the Iranian border on Thursday. The shutdown of the pipeline is a precautionary measure, after the attacks resulted in a number of injuries, the world's top crude oil exporter said.
The 750-mile-long East-West pipeline became Saudi Arabia's vital oil route to bypass the Strait of Hormuz after the Middle East conflict started and Hormuz was closed to shipping traffic. Thanks to the East-West pipeline, the Kingdom has managed to re-route most of its crude loadings from the western ports in the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
Apart from announcing the shutdown of the pipeline and condemning the attacks, Saudi Arabia has not officially updated the market either on the extent of the damage or the timelines for repairs.
The repairs could take three to five weeks, two regional officials briefed on the matter told The ******* ociated Press.

Steel and materials markets fluctuated between rallies and pullbacks as the US-Canada trade relationship shifted from near agreement to open dispute. Nucor Corporation (NYSE:NUE) and Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (NYSE:CLF) rose on August 25, after discussions between the two countries broke down, a turnaround from the week before, when several of the same stocks fell on hopes that a new deal would decrease steel and aluminum tariffs. The VanEck Steel ETF gained 1.6% on the day, while the State Street Materials Select Sector SPDR reached an intraday high. The rise didn't last: by the end of the week, the materials ETF had slipped to negative territory, while the steel ETF was about flat, though, both remain substantially up for 2026.
The volatility traces a rapid escalation. On August 19, Bloomberg reported that the US and Canada had tentatively agreed to reduce tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum to 25% and vehicle charges to 15%. That optimism was dashed within days: on August 22, the US imposed 50% tariffs on a wide variety of Canadian exports, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded by declaring Canada officially "at war" with the United States, saying "You're at war when you're attacked, and we got attacked."
On August 25, Ottawa announced counter-tariffs of C$27.6 billion on American goods, which took effect on September 8 at rates ranging from 15% to 50%. The dispute has continued to escalate since then, with Washington announcing additional restrictions and tariffs on Canadian goods in September, reinforcing the view that a quick resolution remains unlikely.
Atsi Sheth, Moody's chief credit officer, put it bluntly: "Expect much more of this uncertainty for some time to come." Investors initially welcomed tariffs as good news for US steelmakers facing less Canadian competition, but the back-and-forth negotiations, as well as Canada's reaction, have made predicting a steady outcome difficult.
The more intriguing story is how differently the aforementioned companies are positioned. Nucor Corporation (NYSE:NUE) relies primarily on scrap-based electric arc furnace steelmaking, while Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (NYSE:CLF) operates a vertically integrated model with internally sourced iron ore, scrap and other raw materials. Both have meaningful domestic raw-material exposure, although their production models differ substantially. Nucor Corporation (NYSE:NUE) is up more than 50% year-to-date, while Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (NYSE:CLF), despite similar structural insulation, remains negative for 2026, which **** ysts attribute to balance sheet stress rather than tariffs.

In the second quarter, sales from these two medicines accounted for almost 65% of the company's top line. Eli Lilly also markets Foundayo, an oral GLP-1 approved for weight loss, although it was approved in April and doesn't yet contribute much to its financial results.
Still, the point is that Eli Lilly's lineup is concentrated at the top, with just a couple of brands responsible for most of the recent momentum. Other pharmaceutical giants are well aware of Eli Lilly's GLP-1 success, and they are seeking to launch competing therapies.

Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ: LRCX) stock has struggled recently, shedding 16.6% in the last week alone. The shares have seen some volatility since their April-June rally peaked at a June 30 record high of $438.50. LRCX was last seen down 2.3% at $267.22 today, though it still boasts a roughly 56% year-to-date lead. Plus, the recent pullback has found support at the 200-day moving average, a trendline with historically bullish implications.
Per Schaeffer's Senior Quantitative ***** yst Rocky White, LRCX has traded within 0.75 times the 200-day moving average's 20-day average true range (ATR) after spending at least 80% of the previous two weeks and 80% of the prior 42 trading sessions above the trendline. This setup has occurred five other times over the last decade, after which the stock was higher one month later 80% of the time, averaging a 6.9% gain.
Furthermore, LRCX's 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 28.7 sits in "oversold" territory, which often precedes a short-term bounce.

Jim Cramer raised concerns about The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TJX) during the September 10 episode of Mad Money, as he said:
We had our CNBC Investing Club meeting today… I review each of the Charitable Trust positions on the call. This time, it was pretty clinical until I got to TJX, the off-price retailer. Candidly, I lost it on TJX. I've owned the stock for the Trust for as long as I can remember, and I've never felt so worried about this franchise. They have a bunch of divisions, but the biggest one, Marmaxx, consisting of TJ Maxx and Marshalls, really blew it. Management told us that they had figured out what had gone wrong and they've already fixed it, but because of competitive reasons or whatever, they wouldn't tell us what went wrong and they wouldn't tell us how they fixed it. I found that infuriating…
I came close to saying, forget it, Jim, it's retail. Sometimes retail is seductive. I love my local TJ Maxx, and I think Home Goods is a fun place to shop. The company's almost always about the best in the industry, crushing Burlington and Ross Stores. But this time, shockingly, Ross Stores upside surprised. It crushed TJX, much better than expected... So why bother sticking your neck out for something in this group? Simple. Because some of the greatest stories of all time have come from retail. Costco's been an incredible long-term performer. Walmart's been terrific. And TJX, it's been a wonder, one of the best stocks ever.
Could they really suddenly have lost it? Did they go all LULU? I don't think so. What happens, though, is you have to be conscious that TJX is right now being buffeted by its group, which is trading down because of the decline in discretionary income from the tax that is higher gasoline. We can't tell how much of its underperformance comes from that alone or maybe the mistakes that management made and says they've corrected. In other words, these retail stocks are very hard to own, even as they seem so easy to grasp.
TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TJX) reported second-quarter fiscal 2027 sales of $15.18 billion, up 5% year over year, while consolidated comparable sales increased 4%. Adjusted diluted EPS rose 11% to $1.22, and the company raised its full-year diluted EPS outlook to $5.31-$5.36, or $5.15-$5.20 excluding an expected $0.16 net benefit from tariff refunds. The weakness was concentrated in Marmaxx, which includes TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Sierra. Comparable sales increased just 1%, down from 6% in the first quarter, while HomeGoods, TJX Canada and TJX International each posted comparable-sales growth of 6% or more.
