Emma Stone wasted little time taking Louis Vuitton's spring 2027 collection off the runway. On Wednesday night, just one day after the collection debuted in Paris, the actress wore one of its newest designs to the premiere of "The Debut" at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall during the 2026 New York Film Festival.

During this brief encounter in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre Museum, 30-year-old Zendaya remained seated. The president's wife leaned in slightly to shake the actress's hand. The Euphoria star returned the gesture, shook her hand, and said it was a pleasure to meet her.
Moments before 73-year-old Brigitte Macron approached Zendaya, Bernard Arnault, CEO of the luxury group LVMH, had also greeted the actress. The executive leads the luxury conglomerate that brings together more than 75 internationally renowned brands, such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Celine, Loewe, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Kenzo, among others.

Zendaya behaved the same way with Arnault; she greeted him, shook his hand, and stayed in her seat. Debate quickly erupted on social media. Some argued that the actress should have stood up out of courtesy and greeted them both on her feet—first, because of their positions as First Lady and top executive, and second, because they are older.

We were blown away by the bright blue Louis Vuitton tailored look she wore in the front row of the Spring 2027 show, and I was hopeful it would signal a run of bolder fashion choices. But seeing Emma back on the red carpet in this fresh-off-the-runway Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 slip dress, I feel like we're right back where we started.
My main issue is the top half of the dress. The draped neckline and contrasting panel feel awkward, while the pale grey and beige tones wash her out, especially after seeing how well she wore that vivid blue in Paris.
Looking at the runway, I would have much preferred the original yellow version. We already know how good Emma looks in yellow. Her 2014 Atelier Versace dress, 2026 Golden Globes look, Bugonia London premiere look and that iconic La La Land dress are all reminders of how well the colour works for her.

Louis Vuitton presented its Spring 2027 collection, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, at the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris, and as always, I noticed a few trends in the front row.
Emma Stone and Ana de Armas tend to play it relatively safe with their Louis Vuitton front row looks, so both were welcome surprises. Emma's electric-blue tailoring had a stronger silhouette than we usually see from her, while Ana went tougher in black leather with cut-outs and buckled detailing. Two welcome changes of pace. Did either woman pull her look off for you?
The front row had plenty of New York representation, with Jennifer Connelly joining Keri Russell, Chloë Sevigny and the Haim sisters.
There's a lot going on with Jennifer Connelly's look, including some seriously divisive lace-up boots, but on Jennifer it works. It always works. She has never played it safe with Louis Vuitton, and I don't ever want her to.
Keri Russell will always serve up a sophisticated, sculptural point of view, and she found the perfect Louis Vuitton look. The only thing not working for me is the monogram bag. I wish it had been black.

The Venice Film Festival may revolve around cinema, but fashion has become an essential part of its annual spectacle. The 2026 edition once again transformed the Lido into a showcase for couture, sharp tailoring and unexpected styling. Stars moved between timeless black gowns, shimmering embellishments, relaxed suits and bursts of bright color. Some relied on archival fashion, while others arrived in custom creations designed specifically for the occasion. Together, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Amal Clooney, Rooney and Kate Mara, Robert Pattinson, Suki Waterhouse and Pamela Anderson demonstrated just how varied festival dressing can be.
Jury president Maggie Gyllenhaal established a sophisticated tone with several dramatic black looks. For the opening, she selected an all black Celine ensemble featuring an off the shoulder twisted bodice. Another memorable appearance came in archival Armani Privé from the Fall 2015 collection. Rich velvet, sharply sculpted shoulders and crystal detailing around the plunging neckline gave the older design a fresh presence on the carpet.
Amal Clooney also embraced black with a custom Tom Ford creation by Haider Ackermann. Her appearance demonstrated the continuing appeal of streamlined eveningwear, with careful construction and texture doing much of the visual work. Sisters Rooney and Kate Mara offered two very different interpretations of evening glamour while promoting Bucking Fastard. It was an understated return, with the Irish actress wearing a navy-blue Louis Vuitton dress that kept the focus on its clean silhouette. The silver zip running along the side was the only real point of detail.
Considering this was her first red carpet appearance in some time, I wasn't expecting Saoirse to make a dramatic comeback. This felt more in keeping with her style: simple, unfussy and confident enough to let the cut do the work. I also like that the zip gives the dress some edge.
Even the jewellery followed the same approach. Saoirse wore a Les Honneurs earring and Tumbler ear cuff in white gold and diamonds from Louis Vuitton's High Jewelry collection, which added just enough sparkle without changing the mood of the look.

The cast of "Practical Magic 2" continued their witchy style streak at the film's Los Angeles premiere held at the Directors Village on Monday night. Nicole Kidman debuted couturier Pieter Mulier's inaugural design for Atelier Versace, Sandra Bullock opted for Louis Vuitton and more designer pieces hit the event.
Mulier, who left Alaïa for Versace in January 2026, created a dress for Kidman that merged the method dressing witchy style cues of her previous looks for the film, and also teased his vision for the Italian luxury fashion house.
