The improved outlook prompted Eni to increase its planned 2026 share repurchase program to €3.4 billion, up from the previously revised €2.8 billion, while reaffirming its planned dividend of €1.10 per share. The company also said an extraordinary dividend could be considered later this year if refining margins remain well above budget ****** umptions.
Second-quarter adjusted EBIT more than doubled year over year to €5.38 billion, while adjusted net profit rose to €2.3 billion. The upstream business generated €4.77 billion in adjusted EBIT, benefiting from higher production, favorable oil realizations and continued cost discipline. Cash flow before working capital reached €4.47 billion, comfortably covering €1.84 billion in capital spending and €1.35 billion returned to shareholders through dividends and buybacks during the quarter.
Strategically, Eni continued expanding its upstream portfolio and transition businesses. During the quarter it established the Searah joint venture with Petronas, creating a regional platform spanning Indonesia and Malaysia that will develop major gas discoveries in the Kutei Basin. AI is now greatly advancing both sides of the cybersecurity war, with data increasingly favoring attackers. This isn't an isolated data point, as Check Point's 2026 Cyber Security Report, its 14th annual study, found that organizations fell victim to an average of 1,968 cyberattacks per week back in 2025, a 70% increase from 2023, as attackers increasingly make use of automation and AI to move more quickly and operate across a number of attack surfaces at the same time. Meanwhile, Mandiant's M-Trends 2026 report further highlights the timeframe problem: 28.3% of revealed vulnerabilities are now exploited in less than 24 hours, with time-to-exploit effectively negative when ******* aults arrive before patches.
That narrow window between vulnerability discovery and attack is exactly the dynamic that is altering business security budgets, and Wall Street sees CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRWD) as one of the companies best positioned to gain from it. In fiscal Q1 2027, the company's revenue reached $1.39 billion, up 26% year-over-year, while ending ARR was a record $5.51 billion, up 24%, with net new ARR of $256 million increasing 32% year-over-year, indicating an acceleration rather than a slowing in the pace of new business. Although CrowdStrike's underlying trajectory remains robust, its valuation multiple is the key source of concern for institutional investors. Shares are currently trading at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 119.92x, which is a significant premium above prominent cybersecurity rivals such as Palo Alto Networks (84.74x), SentinelOne (39x), and Zscaler (32.72x). At almost 120x forward earnings, the current stock price requires sustained mid-to-high 20% annual revenue growth and continued margin improvement over several years to justify trading levels in hindsight.
Against this backdrop, Stifel's July 17 price target increase to $230 from $220, following investor meetings with CrowdStrike's CFO on AI tailwinds, fiscal 2027 confidence, and Falcon Flex traction, reads as sell-side confirmation of a growth story already supported by the company's own numbers, rather than primary evidence for it.
The firm also cited a growing sales pipeline supporting confidence in CrowdStrike's net-new annual recurring revenue guidance increase issued last quarter, as well as management's stated willingness to increase the size and pace of acquisitions, which would be funded with a combination of stock and debt.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — David Cifaldi and his two hiking companions were crossing Montana's ominous Froze-to-Death Plateau and approaching the top of the state's highest peak when their adventure took a bizarre and dangerous turn: Cifaldi slipped and impaled himself on his trekking pole as he fell.

"I was like, 'We've got to get off this mountain.' And they're both like, 'I don't know about that,'" Cifaldi said of his friends' initial reaction. "I'm pretty confident this is outside my chest wall. 'Tis but a flesh wound."
The 32-year-old nurse, who works in wound care at a hospital in Billings, Montana, did a self-assessment. He was alert. There was little pain or blood. And the pole wasn't moving. WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a $22.5 billion renovation of Washington Dulles International Airport that will end the use of the widely disliked "people movers," the mobile lounges that have been used for decades to shuttle travelers to and from the main terminal.
In place of the people movers, the airport will add a new U-shaped passenger train, a central walking tunnel, more moving walkways and new concourses. An above-ground parking garage closer to the main terminal with ****** e for 32,000 vehicles is also in the offing, according to Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
The airport makeover would add to a long list of renovation projects the Republican president is pursuing to leave a lasting mark on the Washington region after his term ends in January 2029. But of all the construction projects Trump is pursuing, the renovations at Dulles could prove to be his most popular and benefit the greatest number of people. During the first day of training camp practice for the Jacksonville Jaguars, rookie tight ends Nate Boerkircher and Tanner Koziol each saw their share of opportunities with the first-team offense.
Certainly, those opportunities speak to what they've put on film throughout the offseason and the work they've put in away from the practice field. But as head coach Liam Coen described after practice, he also wants to put the rookies in some new situations to see how they respond.
"It's also trying to put them in some positions that maybe are a little uncomfortable early on, like putting them in some positions that we got to go see what they can do in terms of that," Coen said. "And not that we know what Hunter and know what Quinton can do -- I think both those guys had good days as well, Hunter and Q -- we got to see what these guys can do against NFL competition, against a good defensive line, whether it's with the first group or the second group."
Boerkircher was a terrific blocking tight end at the college level and the Jaguars believe he can impact the passing game as well. That well-rounded skill set, especially when paired with Brenton Strange and all he can do, can help add a new layer to the offense and open up the playbook for Coen.

Rahane shared the news through a post on Instagram, where he uploaded a video message with the caption: "Cap 278 signing off".
"Thank you for all the love and support over the years. Forever grateful," Rahane wrote in his post.
"The reality of life is that everything has a beginning and everything has an end. When the time comes, you simply have to respect it and move forward. I have always relied on timing in my batting and have always understood its importance," Rahane said.
"Today, I feel the timing is right for me to move on and announce my retirement from international cricket and all formats. From those early days, travelling as a young boy just to practice, I gave this game everything I had. Every single day, every innings, every opportunity I got to bat, the dream was always to wear the India cap," he added.
"I lived by one simple rule. Always put my country and my team ahead of myself. I played this game with complete honesty and I have always believed that if your intent is right, the game will always take care of you," the veteran cricketer said.
"Since the time I made my debut as a first-class cricketer, Indian cricket has grown tremendously and I feel so proud to have been a part of it over the last 20 years. Two-time NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Larson's time was short in the Brickyard 400 on July 26. He only lasted 45 laps at the NASCAR Indianapolis race before his left-rear tire blew, causing him to spin, hit the wall, and end his day before the first stage was complete.
Larson, undoubtedly, would have liked to have spent more time on the track considering he was running second at the time of the accident, but maybe not as long as it took to complete the race at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Corey Heim won the 160-lap race on the 2.5-mile track, which took more than three hours to complete.

Inter president Beppe Marotta has acknowledged the structural financial gulf between the Nerazzurri and Premier League clubs, insisting the club's response must be built on creativity and competence rather than reckless outlay – comments that arrive after a summer already marked by failed pursuits.

His alternative is clear: build through management quality, coaching, and a strong internal culture. Marotta also pointed to the new stadium project as a long-term lever – a structural investment he described as a decisive passage toward making Inter increasingly modern, and one he said is fully aligned with the Oaktree ownership group.
