Combat sports are a harsh place, especially for legends.
One of the most accomplished Muay Thai fighters and kickboxers of his generation, Sitthichai is a former Glory Kickboxing lightweight champion and Lumpinee welterweight champion, among many other accomplishments in striking sports. However, the last few years have been unkind to the 34-year-old Thai fighter as he lost four of his final five fights in ONE Championship, and has gone winless since leaving the promotion last year.
Perhaps the worst of those losses happened on Saturday when Sitthichai got brutally knocked out by Taimu Hisai at Knockout 68: Knockin' on the World in Yokohama, ****** an.
While Sitthichai has been stopped in a couple of his recent bouts, those losses came from body shots. This time, the 20-year-old Hisai, who stepped in on short notice and moved up a weight class to take the fight, slept the legend with a brutal uppercut that not only knocked him out cold but literally took him off his feet.
Check out the devastating highlight below.

Is Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Byron Murphy II the gold standard at his position in the NFL?
Murphy emerged as a breakout star last season after recording seven sacks on the year, up from the 0.5 that he recorded the year prior, and helping the Seahawks win the Super Bowl at the end of the season. Murphy may not have been named an All-Pro in 2025, but he is not far off from reaching a level that few other defensive tackles in the league are at in 2026.
Fox Sports' Bucky Brooks named Murphy to his All-22 preseason dream team for the 2026 season, identifying him as one of the top two DTs slated to excel in the league.
"Murphy's activity and aggression force interior defenders to pay close attention to his whereabouts, particularly on pivotal downs where the Seahawks are known to crank up the pressure," Brooks said. "As an emerging standout coming off a season with seven sacks and 13 quarterback hits, the 6-foot-0, 306-pounder is ready to take his game up a notch as an All-Pro-caliber defender at the line."
Murphy is a defensive tackle to watch yet again in 2026. Another huge year-over-year jump from last season to the present one from Murphy will not come as a shocker. Over 10 sacks registered and additional contributions across the stats sheet make him a player with the potential to be one of the two best defensive tackles in the league when the season is said and done.

Former UFC contender Tony Ferguson returns to the boxing ring Sept. 26 on the undercard of Henry Cejudo vs. "Deen The Great."
Ferguson will take on former professional soccer player Kenzo Biyong in a five-round boxing match for Misfits Boxing at James L. Knight Center in Miami.
Ferguson, 42, is 2-0 under the Misfits banner with one pro win and one exhibition win. He hasn't competed in striking competition since December when he beat Warren Spencer by unanimous decision. Prior to that, he defeated Nathaniel Bustamante, also known as "Salt Papi," by third-round TKO stoppage.
Since those boxing bouts, Ferguson took a wrestling match for RAF, which he lost to Arman Tsarukyan by technical fall.
Biyong, 28, has dabbled in combat sports before, though this will be his first outing involving striking. In April, he competed at UFC BJJ 7 and was quickly submitted by Raphael Ferreira.

PHOENIX (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema can be sued under North Carolina's homewrecker law over her relationship with a member of her security detail, a judge ruled Friday.
Sinema has acknowledged having a romantic relationship with Matthew Ammel but argued that she can't be sued in North Carolina because she has no connection to the state.
U.S. District Judge David A. Bragdon rejected that argument, saying nine text messages she sent Ammel while he was in the state give North Carolina jurisdiction over her. He found it implausible that she was unaware of Ammel's whereabouts when she texted him.
Sinema's lawyer, Steven Epstein, did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
The lawsuit, filed by Ammel's ex-wife, seeks financial damages from Sinema, who represented Arizona in the U.S. House and later the Senate for one term that ended early last year. North Carolina is one of a handful of states that allow jilted spouses to sue for "alienation of affection" to seek compensation from a third party responsible for the breakup of their marriage.

But some of the night's most intriguing action could come before the headline attraction.

Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi and Jordan "Panda Kick" Estupinan rarely need much encouragement to attack.

Worapon Lukjaoporongtom has waited through three botched attempts to finally share the ring with Lenny Blasi. On Friday, August 28, he plans to ensure the fourth meeting does not last any longer than necessary.

The Sor Dechapan representative arrives in the best form of his ONE Championship career, having won three straight bouts in 2026. Now, Worapon finally gets the opponent who has repeatedly crossed his path without ever making it to fight night.

With his win over Ian Machado Garry at UFC 331, Islam Makhachev broke Anderson Silva's record for longest win streak. Anyone hoping to claim it will have to beat his 18 UFC victories in a row, and Makhachev plans on adding to that number before hanging up his gloves.
When that may happen is unclear, as Makhachev said he has no intention of retiring any time soon … although he does seem to be questioning what great accomplishment comes next after the win streak record.
"No record is unbreakable," he told Russian outlet Ushatayka. "There are fighters out there who are getting closer. There are already fighters breathing down my neck with ten wins."
Islam Makhachev says he believes he has at least three more “very hard and exciting fights” left in his career, while admitting he isn’t sure which records he can still chase after breaking one that once seemed unbreakable.

“Well, no record is unbreakable. There are fighters out… pic.twitter.com/LUHlfUcnPv
"I don't really know [what will be the next] record for myself," Makhachev added. "Maybe for ****** le fights? But it's a hard one to beat. I fought ten bouts before the ****** le while the one who holds the record [Jon Jones] had the ****** le in his third or fourth fight. So I don't know what records will come next."

Where Unai Emery is concerned, the silent treatment has taken on a new meaning. The Aston Villa manager's pre-match interview at Brighton on Sunday was notable for a one-word answer. "Silence," he said, when asked about Ollie Watkins' whereabouts. The England striker was absent for the 4-0 defeat, Emery hinting he refused to play.
Watkins appears set on joining Al Hilal. A considerable boost to his bank balance would come with a dent to his reputation. For the nice guy, one of football's feel-good stories, it surely wasn't supposed to end like this. When Watkins was playing for Exeter at 21, the riches now offered in Saudi Arabia would have seemed unimaginable. But so, too, would have scoring the winner for England in the semi-final of a major tournament or winning a European trophy. This will be his last big contract – and presumably, much his biggest – but it again invites the question of how much money footballers need.
Ollie Watkins appears set to wave farewell to Aston Villa (Getty)
Six years at Villa Park should not have left him a pauper. Instead, he may leave Villa with Emi Buendia acting as a false nine at Brighton as they made a false start to their campaign.
A tarnished legacy would be a shame because Watkins and Villa have been very good for each other. He had never played in the top flight before he became their club record signing. He became the only player to reach double figures of Premier League goals in each of the last six seasons. His departure may be drawn out, but perhaps Watkins finished in a way with a match-winning brace against Manchester City, his last game at Villa Park, like his third, an evisceration of Liverpool. There were six goals in his last five games for Villa and, in the one where he did not find the net, they won the Europa League.

(NEXSTAR) — The condition known to cause "scromiting" among some marijuana users has become more prevalent in the U.S., a recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows, though the trend among a specific age group may contradict previous understandings of the syndrome.
Cannabis (or cannabinoid) hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is as serious as it sounds. The condition, which can cause excessive vomiting with recurring bouts of severe stomach pain and nausea, was first detected in Australia two decades ago. Some have referred to a combination of CHS symptoms – screaming, due to the intense pain, and vomiting – as "scromiting."
Hot showers and baths are often described as the only way to mitigate the discomfort. In rare cases, the condition has resulted in death, health officials said.
Cannabis hyperemesis syndrome is on the rise: What symptoms to watch for
"[Patients] are not high in any fashion and in fact are in significant distress with uncontrolled vomiting, gagging, hurling, and pain," Dr. Sam Torbati, the medical director of the Ruth and Harry Roman Emergency Department at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, explained to Nexstar via email. He sees patients already diagnosed with or presenting with suspected cases of cannabis hyperemesis arrive in his emergency department weekly.

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte has been moved from the restricted list to the 10-day injured list following a puzzling absence that saw him miss Monday night's game in Boston.
The decision came after Marte met with general manager Mike Hazen and manager Torey Lovullo to address the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, which neither party disclosed.
Lovullo explained Marte returned to Phoenix to undergo medical tests on his knee earlier this week. However, Lovullo expressed frustration that Marte did not communicate his whereabouts or status during this period, leaving the coaching staff and teammates unable to reach him.
