Digital infrastructure company Equinix Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) and AI chipmaker NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) have expanded their partnership today to target the next major phase of artificial intelligence spending: inference.
Shares of Equinix rose 2% on Wednesday following the announcement of Equinix Inference Exchange, which is a distributed AI inference program for global enterprises, together with a new collaboration with Together AI.
The distributed AI inference platform can leverage Nvidia's Enterprise Reference Architectures, Together AI's inference platform, and Equinix's global data center and networking infrastructure to enable enterprises to achieve a faster path from AI experimentation to production. The collaboration will provide connectivity to clouds, networks and AI providers through Equinix Fabric.
The market's modest response is worth looking at.
Nvidia's expanded collaboration with Equinix allows it to push its computing architecture deeper into corporate AI infrastructure. Inference Exchange can make Nvidia-based infrastructure easier to deploy alongside its existing cloud and data environments.

The podcast, produced and distributed by The Volume, was launched as a destination for the outspoken veteran's musings on the WNBA and her very closely watched Indiana Fever team. Early on, Cunningham used the platform to defend her teammate, Caitlin Clark, and dispute controversial foul calls and league decisions.
Shortly after Cunningham's initial comments about transgender athletes in a Rolling Stone interview, her co-host, West Wilson, posted a TikTok that directly contradicted Cunningham's perspective. The reality television star, with whom Cunningham grew up in Missouri, called transgender women's participation in sports "a borderline nonexistent issue" that right-wing commentators amplify. Wilson added that discourse about transgender athletes further isolates transgender people and distracts Americans from "actual harmful sh*t" such as the cost of living.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is showing a stronger financial trajectory and cash-generation profile than its equipment vendor partner, Ericsson. In Q2 2026, AT&T's consolidated revenue increased 2.3% year over year to $31.6 billion, supported by a 5.1% increase in Advanced Connectivity service revenue. Adjusted EPS surged 20.4% to $0.65, beating the $0.59 consensus estimate, while adjusted EBITDA rose 5.2% to $12.3 billion, producing a strong 39.1% margin. Free cash flow reached $4.7 billion, enabling management to raise its full-year share buyback target to $10 billion while maintaining its forecast for more than $18 billion in full-year free cash flow.
Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) (NASDAQ:ERIC), meanwhile, faced weaker operating momentum in Q2 2026, with net sales declining 6% year over year to SEK 52.7 billion, or approximately $5.0 billion, due to lower IPR licensing revenue and uneven carrier capital spending. Net income fell 12% to SEK 4.1 billion, or approximately $390 million, although adjusted gross margin remained resilient at 48.4%. Free cash flow before M&A, however, plunged from SEK 2.6 billion to just SEK 385 million, or approximately $36.7 million.

Blackbird, one of the longest-running venture capital funds in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), has fully closed its sixth fund at a record A$1.05 billion (about $740 million).
The Sydney-based VC drew re-commitments from Australian sovereign and superannuation investors, including the Future Fund, Aware Super, HESTA and Hostplus. It also received cheques from new LPs from the US and Asia, including Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Adams Street Partners, and Schroders.
This is among the region's largest VC fund closes, as institutional LPs flock to large, established investors amid a flight to quality.
According to Blackbird general partner Samantha Wong, the venture firm has distributed $1.4 billion on a total of $2.1 billion invested across half a dozen transactions since its 2012 inception.
Most of these exits took place in the past few years, with secondaries playing a major role, she added.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — After counting up 1,400 total votes, Memorial's Dru Ellis was named our Week one Home Team Friday MVP of the night.
The junior running back rushed for 80 yards on four carries for three touchdowns. While also having three catches for 36 years and another score and an interception on defense. Ellis made the most of his time on the field for the Tigers in their 48-14 win over Jasper. He secured 84.7 percent of the votes to claim MVP.
"Oh, it's awesome knowing that I have everybody behind me, everybody voting for me," he said. "It just feels good knowing that everybody is there. Knowing that I can take it after my brother, definitely had a lot of players in the past years that I've got to work around and work with. So they definitely helped me and trained me for this moment right here."

Rezolve Ai (NASDAQ:RZLV) has announced that Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) selected its proprietary distributed database technology for use within Google Cloud infrastructure, marking what Rezolve describes as the platform's first major commercial deployment with a large technology company.
According to Rezolve Ai, the technology is supporting Google Cloud Web3 blockchain datasets, providing infrastructure for data indexing and processing pipelines across multiple blockchain networks.
The first phase encompasses complete historical information from 10 blockchain networks, representing approximately 100 terabytes of data.
Rezolve said its technology applies a series of verification procedures before information reaches Google Cloud's public datasets. Each blockchain block is subjected to six cryptographic checks, alongside schema validation, structural verification and cross-validation.
The deployment provides Rezolve with a significant commercial test of technology that the company has been developing as part of its broader enterprise infrastructure strategy.

OpenAI's head of data centers, Chris Malone, has left the company, adding to a string of senior executive departures at the artificial intelligence lab this year.
TechCrunch first reported his departure. Malone, who brought experience from data center roles at Meta and Google, came aboard in March 2025, and his exit arrives amid OpenAI's sweeping infrastructure expansion — one that envisions committing around $600 billion to compute through 2030, per CNBC.
OpenAI said in a statement that the company had "recently reorganized" its "infrastructure organization to support the scale and pace of our work," adding that it has "a strong, deeply experienced data center team in place, with clear leadership and the technical expertise to execute our plans." Under the new structure, Malone's reporting line shifted away from OpenAI President Greg Brockman and moved to OpenAI Vice President Sachin Katti, who ***** umed oversight of the group, according to TechCrunch. Responsibility for data center strategy is now distributed across a handful of leaders: Uday Ruddarraju heads the data center team, Brent Mayo manages the build and delivery program, and Spas Lazarov oversees data center engineering.
Malone's exit is one piece of a broader pattern of attrition at the top of the company. According to TechCrunch, Business Insider put the total count of senior departures in 2026 at 13, with a notable cluster occurring in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser announced she was leaving after nine months on the job and will be replaced by Dali Rajic, who most recently served as president and chief operating officer of cybersecurity company Wiz. Her departure came just days after Brad Lightcap, who spent eight years at OpenAI, including a four-year run as chief operating officer, said he was leaving to start a new venture. Before those exits, product and business chief Fidji Simo stepped down last month to manage a chronic illness, and Chief Marketing Officer Kate Rouch left in April for health reasons.

Apex Fintech Solutions has signed a deal with Gemini ***** e Station to bring Gemini ***** an's crypto event contracts to Apex's recently launched prediction markets platform. With this deal, the Gemini subsidiary would become the exclusive regulated venue for crypto prediction markets distributed through Apex's Futures Commission Merchant (FCM).
Apex's brokerage clients will use Gemini for execution and clearing for their crypto event contracts. Gemini will also bring additional contract categories, such as sports, economics, and financial markets.
"Leveraging more than a decade of experience building and operating a regulated platform for crypto, a new and emergent ***** et class, we deliberately chose to build our predictions platform in-house," said Tyler Winklevoss, CEO of Gemini, in a statement. "We believe that predictions are the future of markets, and this strategy allows us to expand our offering and open access to valued partners like Apex as demand for event contracts grows."
This follows news earlier this month that Apex launched a prediction markets platform, with an API that gives firms access to market flow from prediction market exchange Kalshi. With the new platform, Apex handles all FCM operations, clearing, segregated custody and account management, so firms don't have to build their own FCM infrastructure or direct exchange connectivity.
