Zuffa Boxing's biggest card to date is now official after Ryan Garciaand Conor Benn made weight for their welterweight ***** le clash.

The 12-round headliner will see Garcia, the World Boxing Councilwelterweight champion, look to defend against Benn. Both men madeweight without issue despite speculation that Benn would struggleto hit his mark. All other fighters on the card also made weight,including Zuffa cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia, who will takeon Noel Mikaelian.

Garcia (25-2) enters the fight having defeated Mario Barrios toclaim the WBC ***** le. This bounceback performance came after "KingRy" failed to dethrone Rolando Romero for the WBA belt last year.Garcia officially weighed 145.5 pounds for the ***** le defense.

Looking to cause an upset is Benn (26-1), whose only career defeatcame to Chris Eubank Jr. last year. However, the British superstarwon the rematch and then defeated Regis Prograis in his latestouting. Benn weighed 146 pounds on the dot.

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - The Odessa Bronchos start the season 1-0 after defeating Mexico City Prep 51-14.
The Bronchos led 37-0 at halftime and stayed on the gas in the second half, adding two more scores. Odessa ran a total of 55 offensive plays for 452 yards, holding the ball for 50 minutes of possession.
The Bronchos hit the road next week to face the Johnson Jaguars

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - The Odessa Bronchos are just one week away from kicking off the 2026 football season, and the Broncho faithful gathered Thursday evening at Odessa High School for a West Texas tradition.
The annual Watermelon Feed gave the community its first look at the 2026 football team, along with the cheerleaders, dance team, and trainers.
Fans were also treated to several performances before enjoying plenty of watermelon, officially marking the beginning of another football season in Odessa.
"It's just a great showcase and a great time to get community out here and just get the year kicked off," Odessa High principal Hector Limon said.
For the players, the event was also a chance to celebrate the growth of the Bronchos' program and the culture being built inside the locker room.

ANDREWS, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - A new era is underway for the Andrews Mustangs as Jason Richters takes over as head coach for the 2026 season.
Richters enters his first season as head coach after spending 11 years at Andrews, including time as the team's defensive coordinator. His familiarity with the players has helped make the transition a smooth one.
"That was a seamless transition, really, because I've been around them, all of them, the whole time I've been here, from junior high up until now," Richters said.
The Mustangs will also have a different look offensively. Andrews is moving to a power-spread system designed to create more opportunities in the passing game while still maintaining a physical, run-first identity.
