Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is seeking to position itself as the platform of choice for enterprise frontier AI adoption. It is part of the company's strategy of extending its cloud platform, Azure, beyond traditional infrastructure into the foundation for nmext-generation AI computing.
That was evident on July 21, as the software giant confirmed the expansion of its strategic partnership with Mistral. The collaboration is designed to give enterprises and regulated industries access to frontier AI models that they can deploy with greater control over security, governance, and compliance.
The expanded partnership reinforces Microsoft's ambition to become the trusted AI infrastructure provider for highly regulated industries, including financial services, healthcare, government, defense, energy, and manufacturing.
As part of this agreement, Microsoft will use Mistral's expanding European GPU infrastructure. Mistral, on the other hand, has added its AI models called Medium 3.5 and OCR 4 to Microsoft's app builder known as Foundry; while Microsoft Copilot Studio has brought on Medium 3.5 as well.

Circle—the company behind USDC (the digital dollar used by millions worldwide for payments, savings, and international transfers)—just bought the blockchain patent library IBM spent more than a decade building. The deal, announced July 27, hands Circle over 1,000 blockchain patents issued by IBM worldwide.
Patents are legal rights that give the holder exclusive control over a specific invention. If you hold a patent on a method for processing transactions on a blockchain—the shared digital ledger where crypto activity is permanently recorded and can't be altered—you get to decide who else uses it and on what terms. IBM had been building that kind of leverage since its mid-2010s enterprise blockchain push.
By December 2025, patent ******* ytics firm PatSnap credited IBM with 790 U.S. blockchain patents—more than any other American company, with Bank of America a distant second at roughly 200. Circle, which received its first-ever patent in December 2023 (covering parallel blockchain data processing—a technique for verifying multiple groups of transactions simultaneously), went from essentially zero to the top of the U.S. rankings overnight.
"The portfolio comprises over 680 patent families and nearly 1,000 issued patents worldwide, spanning foundational blockchain technology, banking, financial services, insurance, enterprise infrastructure, supply chain verification, and secure cloud operations," Circle said in its official announcement.
Circle plans to put them to work across its entire stack. "The expanded IP position directly supports Circle's foundation for building the internet financial system, including USDC, Circle Payments Network, Arc, and a growing suite of onchain products and agentic financial tools," the company added. Arc is Circle's own payment-focused blockchain built for institutional finance. The agentic tools are AI-powered software programs that can execute financial transactions autonomously—no human required for each step.

The AI memory supercycle has emerged as one of 2026's most defining stories, and also one of its most contested. Hyperscaler capital expenditure is expected to reach $750 billion this year, with Goldman Sachs forecasting $7.6 trillion in total AI infrastructure spending through 2031, resulting in a supply shortage of NAND and DRAM memory as data center demand for high-performance storage clashes against the chipmakers' capacity limitations.
That scarcity has been aggravated by reports that TSMC may boost contract chip manufacturing prices by up to 10% in 2027, with some products facing increases of up to 20%, owing to increased materials, equipment, and overseas facility development expenses.
Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) is one of the names that have benefited the most from the supercycle. Since its February 2025 spinoff from Western Digital at $35.06 per share, Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) has become the single best-performing stock in the S&P 500, climbing up to 858% at its late-June peak on the back of explosive fundamentals: fiscal Q3 2026 revenue reached $5.95 billion, up 97% sequentially and 251% year-over-year, with datacenter revenue specifically up 645% year-over-year.
Management anticipates continued sequential acceleration in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, with total revenue expected to range between $7.75 billion and $8.25 billion and non-GAAP earnings per share between $30 and $33, as gross margins increase to near 80%. More crucially, Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) reported that its remaining performance obligations and contracted backlog came in between $41.6 billion and $42 billion. Sandisk's entire 2026 enterprise AI storage capacity is sold out under long-term agreements, thus locking in multibillion-dollar cash flows for the rest of the calendar year.
Despite its strong operational reports, Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) has not been immune to macroeconomic turbulence. In mid-July, shares fell 8% to 15% across a number of sessions, contributing to a 39% slide from late-June record highs, as the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell more than 20%. According to market ****** ysts, this pullback is the result of an industry-wide valuation adjustment rather than a structural decline in memory demand or corporate earnings power.

FIFA said Tuesday it plans to sell a stake in the business operations of the World Cup and its other competitions through the creation of a semi-private subsidiary.
World football's governing body said it would retain a majority share in FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) but hoped to raise $4.2 billion later this year by "carefully selecting long-term investors who will purchase minority, non-controlling interests".
FIFA's statement was a rapid response to a story in British newspapers The Times and The Financial Times based on leaks of the plan from two sources.
The Times reported that FIFA president Gianni Infantino, 56, stood to profit from the scheme by becoming commissioner of the FFE after his expected next term expires in 2031. FIFA denied that this had been discussed.
The article also said discussion had started with financial advisors and potential investors.

The physical infrastructure enabling artificial intelligence requires considerably more than just high-performance accelerators and primary grid connections. It also relies on millions of high-density connectors, backplane interconnects, and power-filtering devices to connect rack-level structures, areas where TE Connectivity plc (NYSE:TEL) holds a significant bottleneck position. As hyperscalers and enterprise data center operators ramp up capital expenditure deployment around the world, demand for critical electrical connector systems has transformed from a passive secondary tailwind to a direct beneficiary of the AI growth cycle.
The company's fiscal third-quarter 2026 report showed this demand in real time, with record top-line performance, order velocity, and profitability. Despite exceeding Wall Street expectations in every fundamental indicator, shares fell roughly 7% following the release, indicating the market's focus on sequential forecast trends over historical trailing figures.
Operational execution in the third quarter set new highs across numerous business areas. Net revenue increased 14% year-over-year to $5.16 billion, above Wall Street expectations by more than 3%. Adjusted earnings per share rose 22% year-over-year to $2.94, exceeding the average estimate of $2.85. The report's defining metric was order flow, which increased 27% year-over-year to a record $5.7 billion, reflecting over $1 billion in incremental booking expansion vs. the prior year period. Meanwhile, profitability increased significantly, with adjusted operating margins improving 90 basis points to 22% and quarterly free cash flow totaling $883 million.
The underlying sector distribution highlights where AI momentum is growing the fastest. Industrial Solutions revenue increased 22% year-over-year to $2.58 billion, driven mainly by data center rack deployments and energy infrastructure growth. Chief Executive Officer Terrence Curtin stated that AI cloud momentum is far above initial multi-year predictions, with data center connection and power distribution orders rising more than 70% year-to-date.
Moreover, to back up its power-handling portfolio, TE Connectivity plc (NYSE:TEL) signed a $1.4 billion formal agreement to acquire Astrodyne TDI. The acquisition includes specialized power management and electromagnetic filtering solutions for critical industrial, semiconductor, and defense applications, providing approximately $250 million in annual revenue to the Industrial Solutions segment once completed.

Enterprise AI agents were meant to be the breakout software offering for 2026, yet instead they've become one of the major sources of buyer distrust. According to Anaconda and Forrester research, over 88% of AI agent pilots never reach production, as confirmed by independent polls from a16z and MIT Sloan's CIO panel, while Gartner predicts that more than 40% of agentic AI initiatives will be discontinued entirely by 2027 due to questionable ROI.
Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) walked into the gap between agent hype and agent reality when it placed its growth narrative on Agentforce, and by 2026, that bet has made Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) one of the worst-performing components of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, down around 31.48% year to date.
The immediate cause appears to be a credibility problem, not a demand issue. Bernstein downgraded Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) to Sector Weight from Outperform on July 9, removing its price target completely and citing poor customer feedback on Agentforce in particular. According to **** yst Jackson Ader, the released data doesn't yet indicate growing momentum, and a recent CIO survey found Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) to be "a standout for the wrong reasons."
That said, this interpretation is not uniform, and the debate on the market is serious. On July 14, Goldman Sachs reiterated its Buy rating and $242 price target, expecting organic growth to pick up in the third quarter as more details on AI monetization become available at Salesforce's Agentforce event in September. Goldman's more constructive reading is based on management's own acknowledgment of headwinds in Tableau, Commerce, and Marketing, which the firm sees as realistic rather than concerning, arguing that Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) is being open about a 12-to-24-month drag on its organic growth algorithm rather than covering it up.
Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM)'s historical valuation decline looks to be the most mispriced aspect of the market story. Shares are currently trading at a compressed forward earnings multiple of only 10.83x, a substantial drop from the stock's five-year historical average of over 127x. The disparity is even more obvious when compared to prominent peers such as ServiceNow, which trades at a forward P/E of around 20.43x and requires consistent revenue growth above 18% through 2028 to maintain its valuation premium. Salesforce's current valuation of less than 11x forecast earnings is in near-total deadlock, despite the company's strong free cash flow generation and substantial enterprise data integration.

July 23 (Reuters) - SAP's finance chief said on Thursday that artificial intelligence in enterprise software must move beyond chatbots and ‌coding tools into more complex business processes, where clean data, reliability ‌and cost control matter more than access to the most powerful model.
Companies have poured money into generative AI but are still seeking evidence of broad productivity gains, and SAP is arguing that the returns will come less from general-purpose models than from governed systems embedded in specific business processes.
CFO Dominik Asam told reporters after SAP's ‌second-quarter results that the "lion's share" of AI token consumption today was spent in "low-hanging fruits" coding ******* istant and chatbots, where AI's hallucinations matter less because the output carries limited risk if it fails.
But applying AI to finance, supply chain or other core business processes is harder because errors carry over multiple steps, increasing risk against compliance standards, he said.

Bristol US Equity Strategy stated the following regarding W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE:WRB) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE:WRB) is a property-and-casualty insurer with a long record of dividend growth and disciplined value creation, precisely the profile our process is designed to find. The company runs a decentralized model of more than 50 business units, each tailored to its market, with a focus on specialty and excess-and-surplus lines that demands deep underwriting expertise and generates high, durable returns on capital. Berkley has raised its dividend for 25 consecutive years, a five-year compound annual growth rate of roughly 11.6%, and regularly returns excess capital through special dividends when its balance sheet allows. That combination of free-cash-flow generation and shareholder-friendly capital allocation is exactly what our model favors.
Berkley is family-run, with a conservative underwriting culture and balance sheet. Its earnings are relatively insulated from the economic cycle, and we believe the position adds ballast to the portfolio: a more defensive, lower-volatility holding that can help steady returns at a time when AI is widening the range of outcomes across many sectors. With the shares trading at an attractive valuation relative to the quality and returns of the business, we initiated the position."

You won't need a time machine and Siegfried and Roy tickets to see Tigers in Las Vegas this year.
Missouri basketball has announced that it will play an exhibition game against UNLV on Thursday, Oct. 29, in Sin City, adding a preseason road trip to precede a nonconference schedule already packed with road and neutral site matchups.
The exhibition likely will be Missouri's final tune-up game before the official beginning of the 2026-27 season, which can begin Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Mizzou has not officially announced who it will face to open its new campaign this year, although reports have suggested the Tigers will play Cleveland State — head coach Dennis Gates' former team — at Mizzou Arena on opening day.
The first officially announced game on MU's schedule is Nov. 6 against Saint Louis at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, the first of five expected neutral-site nonconference games this coming season.

Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) surged by 9.32 percent on Wednesday to finish at $441.80 apiece as investors drew encouragement from the surging demand for AI servers using Nvidia chips.
The stock rallied alongside its counterparts, Super Micro Computer (SMCI) and Hewlett Packard Enterprises, helped buoyed by SMCI's record backlog of $60 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.
Investors took the backlog as a hint of strong demand for AI servers using Nvidia GPUs.

Not everyone agrees with Dave Ramsey. His blanket opposition to credit cards and mortgages has drawn plenty of criticism from financial planners who see nuance where Ramsey sees recklessness. Even so, his track record is hard to dismiss.
Ramsey's net worth is most commonly estimated at around $200 million, though his own disclosures suggest the figure is considerably higher. In a late 2025 interview on "The School of Hard Knocks" YouTube channel, he told host James Dumoulin that Ramsey Solutions generated a record $300 million that year and that he owns roughly $850 million in real estate, all accumulated without debt. He went further, stating he is "probably a billionaire." His Ramsey Solutions headquarters campus in Franklin, Tennessee, which was built out over decades on land he paid cash for, is valued at approximately $650 million on its own. Anyone who has ****** embled that kind of enterprise is, at minimum, worth paying attention to.
His core message has remained consistent for decades: debt is the single biggest obstacle standing between ordinary Americans and genuine wealth. As he put it on his Instagram page, "Your most powerful wealth-building tool is your income. And when you spend your whole life sending loan payments to banks and credit card companies, you're making everyone else wealthy, and you end up with less money to save and invest for your own future."
Ramsey lumps credit cards, student loans, car payments, and borrowing in general into one category he calls "stupid." The counterargument is obvious: when you are sitting on $850 million in real estate and a media empire reaching 20 million weekly listeners, avoiding debt is far easier than it is for the average household. Still, the underlying logic, that debt diverts income away from saving and investing, holds up regardless of net worth.

It has been an up-and-down year for Iren (NASDAQ: IREN), but the stock of the neocloud operator surged 20% on July 20 after it announced $2.8 billion in new contracts. The stock has more than doubled over the past year, but has also been cut nearly in half from its highs.
The average weighted length of Iren's new contracts is four years and includes deals with hyperscalers, frontier labs, artificial intelligence (AI) developers, and enterprises. It also said that its recent arrangements include prepayments covering approximately 45% of the cost of the graphics processing units (GPUs) to be used in the deployments.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
In addition to its new contract announcements, Iren also increased its year-end AI cloud computing annual revenue run rate outlook to more than $4 billion, up from a prior target of $3.7 billion. The company is expanding aggressively. A year ago, it had a capacity of 3 megawatts, and it's expected to bring that total to 480 megawatts in 2026 and 1.2 gigawatts in 2027. Despite its growth, it said demand continues to exceed its planned capacity additions.
Iren is one of a handful of former Bitcoin miners that have shifted their focus toward AI data centers. While at first this shift may seem like a red flag, it actually does make a lot of strategic sense.

For a long time, IREN Limited (NASDAQ:IREN) was considered a Bitcoin mining operation company, but the company's cloud approach and AI deals have successfully transitioned it into a vertically integrated AI cloud provider.
The company came under the spotlight when it announced raising its year-end AI Cloud annualized run-rate revenue target to more than $4 billion, up from $3.7 billion, on July 20. The stock rallied nearly 20% after this news.
Out of the new target, roughly 85% is already under contract, as IREN Limited (NASDAQ:IREN) won multi-year cloud services deals with key AI developers, reflecting $2.8 billion in total contract value.
A testament to the company's scaled AI Cloud business is the expansion of 3MW of self-built AI Cloud capacity to 480MW being delivered this year, with expectations of the 1.2GW level in 2027. There's no doubt the company is expanding its customer base across hyperscalers, enterprises and AI developers, but investors want to know whether this announcement actually means something in the long term or if the growth prospects have already been priced in.
The news supports the earlier revenue projection by Freedom Capital. The firm expects the company's revenue to "explode" from $717 million this year to $3.1 billion and $8.5 billion in FY27 and FY28, respectively. The company's latest AI Cloud update provides additional revenue visibility for a business that is expanding at a rapid pace.

In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Bristol US Equity Strategy highlighted KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) as a newly added position. KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) is a global manufacturer and distributor of process control, process-enabling, and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and electronics industries. On July 21, 2026, KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) closed at $217.56 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $284.19 billion. Bristol US Equity Strategy stated the following regarding KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) is a dominant provider of process-control and metrology equipment to the semiconductor industry, with a high market share that becomes more entrenched at each node transition. Metrology is the precision measurement and evaluation of nanoscale features; as chip-making and architecture grow more complex, the economic cost of yield loss rises sharply, which makes KLA's tools effectively non-discretionary for leading-edge manufacturers. Those tailwinds, combined with prudent management, support strong dividend growth.

Super Micro Computer says that business is booming and profitability is improving. Investors like the sound of that.
Shares of Supermicro (SMCI), as the company is commonly known, jumped 22% to $31 in early trading Wednesday after the server maker said it expects to report gross margins of between 15% and 17% for its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended on June 30. That's a steep increase over the company's previous guidance of 8.2% to 8.4%.
In a preliminary business update released late Tuesday, Supermicro estimated that revenue for the quarter will be closer to the low end of its previous forecast range of $11 billion to $12.5 billion. However, the company said that new orders in the period exceeded $60 billion, putting its backlog at a record level, indicating that the outlook for the coming quarters is strong.
The rosy view on margins from Supermicro gave shares of rival server makers a boost in early trading Wednesday. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) rose 5%, while Dell Technologies (DELL) jumped 8%, on an otherwise sluggish morning for U.S. stocks.
Coming into Wednesday's session, Supermicro shares had lost nearly 50% over the past year. The stock, which traded above $110 in early 2024 amid optimism about the role the company would play in the AI data center boom, has slumped in recent years amid investor concerns about accounting irregularities and corporate governance.
