Jim Cramer thinks investors have gone too far.
As the tech slump dragged into a new week, the CNBC host said in a post on X that the negativity around Marvell, Apple, and Palantir "is pretty thick," adding, "No matter what they say, it isn't enough."
He made the remark as all three stocks slid on Nov. 2.
His comments landed in a rough market. Chip and memory stocks have lost about $3.7 trillion in market value since Oct. 6, and Intel suffered its worst day since 1974 on Oct. 30, falling nearly 29% after a disappointing forecast.
The chip group shed more than $400 billion on Nov. 2 alone, as reported by Yahoo Finance. In a market this nervous, even good news is getting sold.

An ordinary laptop used to be the kind of purchase you could put off until the old one finally gave up.
I recently discussed this in my story, Intel CEO reveals a PC problem as Goldman cuts stock target, in which I shared how my friends struggled to choose new PCs due to soaring prices.
Moreover, the tech punditry says the problem goes deeper than a few disappointing deals.
Now, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) CEO Lisa Su has delivered a similar warning on November 3, echoing Intel (INTC) CEO Lip-Bu Tan's concerns about a difficult year ahead for the PC market in 2027.
Most of that pressure's coming from memory prices, but interestingly, AMD itself posted record quarterly sales, largely driven by booming server-chip sales.

Slowly but surely the secret is coming out that Michael Penix Jr. has officially arrived as a franchise quarterback. The Atlanta Falcons' starter has been exceptional since returning to the lineup in Week 3, racking up nine touchdown passes to go with just one interception.
Penix is fresh off his best game of the season, totaling three scores and no turnovers against a top-five San Francisco 49ers defense.
That should have gotten Penix a huge ****** p in the weekly NFL.com quarterback rankings, but he only saw a modest gain of one spot, coming in at No. 12. That puts him in-between two former league MVPs, one spot below Patrick Mahomes and one above Matt Stafford.
"Michael Penix Jr. looks very comfortable and decisive in Kevin Stefanski's offense, freely spreading the ball among his many talented targets at a rate I haven't seen from him previously in his NFL career. Penix's contributions were especially important in a game in which Bijan Robinson fell short of breaking things open on the ground, and a reason to take the Falcons seriously going forward."
While the small gain is a little disappointing, keep in mind that Penix wasn't even listed in most quarterback rankings going into the season. Instead, it was Tua Tagovailoa representing the Falcons, usually somewhere between Nos. 30 and 32 among projected starters.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan had six receptions for 58 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. He was targeted a team-high 11 times in the loss.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: With Bryce Young under duress on Thursday night, the passing game was primarily quick hitters with the hope that the wideouts could break a tackle or two and make a big play. It rarely worked out that way, however, and as a result McMillan averaged just 9.7 yards per catch. It was his third largely disappointing performance in his last five games and second in a row. We all saw what this passing attack could look like early this season, so McMillan's upside remains substantial, but the Panthers need to figure out a way to keep Young upright so he can take more downfield shots. While it's too soon to downgrade McMillan below WR2 status, his recent production has not been on that level.

The Green Bay Packers are 5-3 after beating the Carolina Panthers by a 27-19 final score on "Thursday Night Football" from Lambeau Field. There were **** ps along the way, especially early and late, but the Packers got three touchdown passes from Jordan Love and six sacks from Jonathan Gannon's defense to power what ended up being a winning performance.
Highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly coming out of Thursday night's win:
Jordan Love during the first three quarters, the adversity defense, and the pass-rush: Love was on fire for the first 45 minutes, completing 26 of his first 33 passes for 262 yards and three scores. He threw a pick early in the fourth quarter, starting a disappointing finish for the offense overall, but the Packers quarterback was terrific for most of the contest, playing on time from the pocket and consistently finding completions. Jonathan Gannon's defense was dominant at times, allowing only three points off three Packers turnovers, and the only three points came after the fumbled opening kickoff that gave the Panthers the ball in field goal range. It took a few crazy conversions for the Panthers to score a touchdown in the second half. The Packers were dominant up front, sacking Bryce Young six times and consistently disrupting the pocket.
The start, and most of the finish: How did the Packers open the game? By fumbling away the opening kickoff, dropping three first-quarter passes and committing a pre-snap penalty. The turnover spotted the Panthers three early points. To Green Bay's credit, the first quarter ended with the Packers leading. During most of the second and third quarters, the Packers were in complete control, leading 20-10 at the half and 27-13 with a chance to dagger the Panthers to start the fourth quarter. But Jordan Love threw a pick on the second play of the fourth, turning the game sharply, and the Panthers eventually scored on a 70-yard drive and had the ball down one score with a chance to tie the game. What should have been a comfortable, two- or three-score win ended up being a nail biter because the Packers made costly mistakes and couldn't run the ball. One more bad: Trey Smack missed an extra point, so the kicking worries continue to linger. The lost point mattered because it kept the Panthers within one score in the fourth quarter.
The run game. The Packers returned Aaron Banks to the lineup at left guard, and Josh Jacobs got a full workload against the NFL's worst run defense entering Week 8, but it wasn't nearly enough to awaken Green Bay's dormant run game. Jacobs turned 21 rushes into only 39 yards, and 18 of the Packers' 66 rushing yards came on a well-executed Savion Williams gadget play. The 25 designed runs to running backs gained all of 48 yards. Jacobs didn't have a run longer than six yards. It's possible the Packers run game just isn't going to happen in 2026. This is a historically bad start -- the Packers are just the 14th team since 1935 to rush for fewer than 500 yards

Jake Garcia experienced a disappointing ending to Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 26th after being involved in a major accident during the final stage. The ThorSport Racing driver started 11th and led three laps before his afternoon ended prematurely.
Garcia initially showed competitive speed, remaining among the leading trucks as drivers battled through multiple drafting lanes. His No. 98 Ford eventually moved into the lead for three laps, providing an opportunity to establish himself among the contenders.
However, maintaining track position proved difficult as competitors changed drafting lanes and employed different pit strategies. Garcia remained in competition through the opening stages but encountered serious trouble on Lap 57.
An accident sent his Ford hard into the outside wall, triggering a caution and collecting multiple competitors, including Chandler Smith and Conner Jones. The damage prevented Garcia from continuing, ending his afternoon after 56 completed laps. He ultimately finished 26th and earned 11 points.
Garcia remains 11th in the overall NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings with 559 points, the highest-ranked driver who missed the championship Chase. With Martinsville and Homestead-Miami remaining, Garcia will attempt to preserve that position and finish his season strongly.

After a big road win against Indiana and a bye week to rest, get healthy, and figure out a game plan to install a new quarterback following Julian Sayin's injury, the Ohio State football team heads to L.A. to take on the USC Trojans on Saturday.
Buckeye fans will love that this is a night game in the Coliseum, at least for folks in Ohio, and they might even love that Ohio State is a modest road favorite. USC is coming off a disappointing loss at Wisconsin and now has two losses on the season, so winning against the No. 2-ranked team in the country is almost a must. The Buckeyes also need to win to stay on track for the Big Ten **** le and a potential spot in the College Football Playoff.
The stage is set, and each Thursday, we get a look at what the Ohio State football creative team releases on social media as that week's game trailer, and we have it for you again. This one is set against the story of The Odyssey, which, of course, has Trojans, Troy, and all of that, with the Buckeyes playing the part as the conquerors.
Have a look at the trailer for Game 8, **** led "Warriors."
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be telecast on NBC. We'll be there before, during, and after the game, so be sure to come back for more coverage.

NEW YORK – Another forensic dive into a disappointing Yankees finish is underway, discussing method and gathering intel on how to make a better run at the Canyon of Heroes in 2027.
That storied stretch of lower Broadway hasn't seen a parade of Yankees in 17 years.
Nearly two weeks since his team was swept by the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Division Series, Yankees GM Brian Cashman has yet to publicly address how it ended or hint at the strategy ahead.
These are among the biggest questions revolving around Yankees Universe as the World Series begins elsewhere later this week:
Cashman's contract expires at year's end, while manager Aaron Boone's deal runs through the 2027 season.

J.J. McCarthy has given New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh plenty to consider after an encouraging display off the bench in their 34-27 defeat to the New Orleans Saints.
The quarterback replaced Jameis Winston in the second half and helped the Giants fight back from a 24-point deficit. Although New York fell short, McCarthy's performance could put him in contention to start their next game.
The former first-round pick completed 11 of his 21 pass attempts for 243 yards, one touchdown and one interception, offering a bright spot in a difficult afternoon for the Giants.
McCarthy also made sure to acknowledge the support he received from New York's fanbase, despite the disappointing result.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the quarterback said: "I'm just extremely honored to be a part of the New York Football Giants, because this fanbase is unbelievable.

Seeking a route back to winning ways after a stunning 4-3 home loss to Club Brugge in midweek Champions League action, Inter head to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara to face Bologna on Saturday. Despite another disappointing result in Europe, the reigning Serie A holders are leading the way in the domestic championship after six rounds.
Except for a dramatic 2-2 draw against Roma on the stroke of the international break, Cristian Chivu's charges have won all five remaining league fixtures this season, including a 3-0 rout of Parma last weekend. However, there's no room for complacency, as they sit level on points with early surprise package Lazio ahead of Saturday's kickoff.
In stark contrast, Bologna have endured a rough start to the season, picking up just two points from the opening five matchdays (D2, L3). It sent a signal to the club that it was time for new boss Domenico Tedesco to go, with Raffaele Palladino taking his place in the dugout just before the international break. The change paid off quickly as the Rossoblu eked out a 2-1 win at Lecce on the Italian's road debut last time out.
Buoyed by last weekend's triumph, Bologna fans are looking forward to Inter's visit, knowing the Nerazzurri have only won one of the last five Serie A meetings between the sides (D2, L2). Away from the pitch, fans looking to protect their online privacy while streaming matches or browsing football coverage can explore VPN services. Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson had three receptions (on eight targets) for 64 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Watson entered Week 6 second in the NFL in touchdown receptions with six. He had a seventh one in his hands on Sunday night but failed to haul it in, ultimately finishing with his second-worst showing of 2026. While it was a disappointing effort from Watson, the potency of Green Bay's passing attack is legit, as is Jordan Love's willingness to push the ball downfield. The duo of Watson and Matthew Golden is starting to gain traction as a dangerous one-two combination, and the speedy Watson has established himself as one of the NFL's premier deep threats. He's a low-end WR1 that belongs in your weekly lineup.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson had two catches for 13 yards in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Ferguson, a University of Wisconsin alum, took a back seat to Brevyn Spann-Ford (4-35-0) and Ryan Flournoy (7-40-1) on Sunday night, and it ended with him finishing below 20 yards receiving for a third straight week. A legit top-10 fantasy tight end at times in his career, Ferguson is currently no more than a touchdown-or-bust lottery ticket on the outskirts of TE2 value.

Shortly after England's disappointing defeat by Argentina at this summer's World Cup, boss Thomas Tuchel offered his view on why the Three Lions are struggling to win major tournaments.
"I think ball possession plays a crucial role," he said.
"It's maybe not in our DNA like it is in the Spanish DNA or Argentinian or Brazilian DNA to take the ball, control the game and the ball, which is also a big problem."
DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), in scientific terms, usually refers to the master blueprint for life - the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms.
In football, the DNA of a team starts out at grassroots level, where young players are shaped and developed.

3 Cowboys to blame for ugly Week 6 NSFW loss to Jordan Love, Packers appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Dallas Cowboys headed to Lambeau Field for a matchup between two all-time NFL powerhouses and were summarily defeated by Jordan Love's team, on a night that included a crazy Dee Winters overturned interception. Ex-Packers DT Kenny Clark turned in a strong performance, but it wasn't enough as the Packers won, 23-13.
The loss sent Dallas to 2-4 on the season and had fans wondering exactly who was to blame. The Cowboys' defense certainly deserves some, but this night was mostly about the Cowboys' anemic offense. Offensive coordinator Klayton Adams' unit was mostly a no-show. Although Dak Prescott had a decent amount of passing yards, he failed to spark much excitement, or to keep up with Love and the Packers in another disappointing effort.

Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb had nine receptions for 70 yards in a Week 6 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Lamb was targeted a game-high 18 times.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Lamb was given no shortage of opportunities to make plays against the Packers with his 18 targets dwarfing second-place George Pickens, who had 11. He did almost nothing in terms of explosiveness, however, averaging 7.8 yards per catch with his longest reception covering just 17 yards. It's a disappointing trend for Lamb, who has averaged fewer than 10 yards per reception in half of his six games thus far in 2026. Despite that, fantasy owners know how high Lamb's ceiling is, so he should remain locked in your lineup as a solid WR1.

The Los Angeles Rams are 2-4, and ***** ody would've expected that after all the moves they made during the offseason. Their latest loss came from the Arizona Cardinals in the final moments of the game, and that's how they fell to the Buffalo Bills last week on Monday Night Football.

Pedro Pascal returned to the red carpet for the world premiere of Behemoth!, held during the 2026 New York Film Festival on Friday evening.
Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for FLC
The Chanel ambassador's Oscars look remains one of my favourite menswear moments of the year, but this? This was highly disappointing.
I say that fully aware that the New York Film Festival has a more relaxed dress code than Cannes, Venice, London or even Toronto. The individual elements are here, but nothing is working together for me.
I can see the hybrid idea he was going for: part old-Hollywood leading man with the striped shirt, tie and waistcoat, and part relaxed, contemporary dressing with the wide-leg tan trousers and rolled-up sleeves. But those two ideas never quite meet in the middle.

It's been a disappointing couple of years for shareholders of biotechnology outfit CRISPR Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CRSP). This stock's barely up since the end of 2022, lagging the broad market's gains. It's not the performance that investors keeping tabs on this company were expecting, given its potential.
Don't be discouraged, though. While still speculative like most young biotech names, CRISPR Therapeutics remains a compelling prospect for investors who can stomach the risk and its inevitable volatility. Here's why.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 15x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our **** ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
On the off-chance you're reading this and aren't already familiar with the company, CRISPR Therapeutics is a drug developer that specializes in gene editing.
It's probably an area you've heard a great deal about. No gene-editing drugs were actually on the market in the United States until CRISPR Therapeutics' Casgevy was approved by the FDA as a treatment for sickle cell disease in late 2023. Any and all gene therapies currently on the market followed this pioneer's foray. Intuit (INTU) remains a financial technology powerhouse, with roughly 100 million customers across its platforms. Its biggest advantage is the breadth of financial workflows it brings together, spanning everything from tax preparation to business software. But that strength has not protected the stock from a changing market narrative.
Wall Street is increasingly concerned that the rapid adoption and advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) could chip away at Intuit's core tax and business software offerings. These concerns intensified after Intuit delivered slightly disappointing FY2027 sales guidance with its Q4 FY2026 results.

Alluvium ***** et Management, an ***** et management company, released its "Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund" second-quarter 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. The second quarter reflected a sharp shift from geopolitical uncertainty and oil market volatility to a powerful equity rally led by semiconductor companies. Despite the broader market strength, the Fund declined 1.4% in EUR terms, 2.2% in USD terms, and 3.9% in AUD terms. Portfolio results were mixed, with Alphabet benefiting from strong Cloud growth, while Robert Half, H&R Block and other holdings posted solid gains. However, cable businesses and several healthcare and consumer holdings weighed on performance. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund highlighted Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA). Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) is a Chinese multinational company that focuses on cloud computing, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence. On September 14, 2026, Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) closed at $109.23 per share. Over the past month, Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) declined 14.03%, and its shares lost 32.08% over the past 52 weeks. Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) has a market capitalization of $268.48 billion, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $91.99 and $192.67.
Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund stated the following regarding Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) was down 21.3%. Its results were all about AI, and how its investments are paying off, and management's confidence to make further investments. So the only disappointing news (if you can call it that), was that free cash is being chewed up by capital expenses to the point where it has become negative. The results were generally well received. Share price fluctuations are par for the course, especially for Alibaba. We are not fussed. As a consequence of the falling share price, its maintainable earnings yield (on our numbers) has increased to 7.7% and it is trading at a circa 30% discount to our valuation. The Fund's current position is 2.6%."
Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) ranks 30 on our list of the 40 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds. As per our database, 97 hedge fund portfolios held Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) at the end of the second quarter which was 102 in the previous quarter. While we acknowledge the potential of Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. If you're looking for an extremely undervalued AI stock that also stands to benefit significantly from Trump-era tariffs and the onshoring trend, see our free report on the best short-term AI stock.

Lilac is the unexpected colour of the night, with Florence Pugh and Sarah Pidgeon wearing the same hue, but sadly, the colour is where my enthusiasm ends with this Prada gown.
And the issues remain the same. I feel like I'm just repeating myself at this point.
Have a signature by all means with this silhouette, which in this case comes with a cape-style back featuring symmetrical bows, but when the tailoring and fabric – this time silk faille – consistently become the main talking points for the wrong reasons, it's just disappointing for such a big brand.

As we have seen the past two years, a 12-team playoff is forgiving when it comes to early season losses. An early stumble does not have to result in panic as the expanded field allows for a mulligan or two – or three.
The above serves as ample reason as to why fans in Columbus and Eugene should turn the page and look ahead at what's next. While we are at it, what to make of a couple of other Big Ten teams after two weeks?
While Arch Manning rallied the Longhorns from a 23-3 deficit after three quarters to stun Ohio State and replace the Buckeyes atop the polls, Ryan Day's team is not about to disappear from the playoff conversation. There is much sting for sure in blowing a 20-point lead, but the larger picture is one that must be in focus because everything remains on the table.
Besides, fans in Columbus, perhaps more than any fan base in the country, know what it is like to have their team rebound following a most disappointing setback. See the 2024 loss against "The Team Up North" and what happened after that.
Those same fans likely desired to see their team keep its foot on the Longhorns' throat instead of letting up. Facing a fourth-and-four from the UT 39-yard line on the first series of the second half and with a 20-3 lead, Day elected to punt instead of attempting to keep the drive alive. The decision was made despite the outstanding first halves enjoyed by QB Julian Sayin (12-for-16, 192 yards) and receiver Jeremiah Smith (6-110). It is easy to Monday morning quarterback, though it is also easy to see the Buckeyes managed less 100 yards on only 22 plays the remainder of the game.

A day after a disappointing outcome at the Solheim Cup, U.S. captain Angela Stanford has a new gig.
Stanford has joined the TCU women's golf team as an ***** istant coach.
TCU's website said: "The greatest player in TCU women's golf history is back in purple and white."
Stanford, who is from nearby Saginaw, Texas, about 15 miles away from Ft. Worth, was a four-time All-American for the Horned Frogs from 1996-2000, the only four-time All-American in program history. Stanford holds the school record for wins with 10.
"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Angela Stanford back home to TCU as our third coach," said TCU head coach Ravaioli-Larkin. "As one of the most decorated and respected figures in golf history, her transition from a legendary professional career to our coaching staff is a monumental moment for our program. Angela's elite competitive experience as a major champion, combined with her leadership as a U.S. Solheim Cup captain, will provide our student-athletes with unparalleled mentorship. She embodies what it means to be a Horned Frog, and her passion for TCU will undoubtedly elevate our team to new heights."

There are few preseason events like Big Blue Madness for Kentucky basketball. It's a hugely popular day on the schedule for fans, who will fill the stands to watch the fans get introduced to this year's roster, and it's almost time to get tickets.
This year's Big Blue Madness will take place on Oct. 2 and 7:00 P.M. at Rupp Arena. Then Fan Fest will be the next day at the Central Bank Center. Tickets, which are free, will go quickly, and now fans know when to acquire them.
Ticketmaster will be handling he distribution of the tickets for Big Blue Madness, and that begins on Friday, Sep. 18, beginning at 5:00 P.M. There is a limit of two tickets per household so that more fans have a shot to land a seat at the festivities.
The 2026 season is a big one for Kentucky. Mark Pope has his best team yet, and needs to compete for an SEC championship, and win some games in March. Another disappointing season will inevitably result in fans calling for his job, as they did last season.
There is optimism, however, and heading into Big Blue Madness, fans will be excited and full of optimism. They'll want to be ready on Friday if they want a first look at the team.

The San Francisco Giants have endured the bad, the worse and the ugly throughout a 2026 campaign that started with high hopes and landed with bleak realities.
The Giants have been among the most disappointing teams in Major League Baseball this season. There was optimism in San Francisco when the team brought in first-year manager Tony Vitello from the college ranks with no previous MLB experience. Many experts predicted that the Giants would win 82 games and maybe even sneak into a wild-card berth. It would have been the most success the team has seen in nearly a half decade.
Then the season began and things shifted immediately. San Francisco isn't anywhere near discussions of making a postseason appearance. Instead, the Giants have the second-worst record in the National League (only the division-rival Colorado Rockies have a worse record).
The Giants haven't had the play they were expecting on the diamond. The Giants lacked depth in the bullpen, dealt with a series of injuries which contorted lineups, and key players just looked like a shell of themselves through large parts of the season. Vitello has been ejected from multiple games this season. Frustration has settled in San Francisco like fog covering the Golden Gate Bridge.
It's since seemed like a salvageable season after seeing younger prospects such as Bryce Eldridge see the field more. After a sluggish start, Rafael Devers found his bat as of late and is nearing a 40-homer season. There are few positive takeaways from the Giants this year, which leaves a little excitement for the next season.

Well, there's not much to say about this lineup. David Peterson throws with his left hand. The Braves don't have Lane Thomas on hand anymore, so it's basically your standard lineup with Sean Murphy and Ha-Seong Kim bringing up the rear.
This is the same lineup the Braves used in what ended up being that 12-2 game against the Phillies. Given that Peterson probably won't last long given his inefficiency, the Braves may be hoping for a similar result.
I guess I'll talk about Ozzie Albies. He's hitting cleanup for the 21st time this season. His season is basically tanking. He started out with a near-.400 wOBA in April while running an average xwOBA, had a poor May, an okay-ish June, and then ran another huge xwOBA overperformance on a bad xwOBA in July. Since then, it's been absolutely grim. In August, he had a .275 wOBA and .283 xwOBA. In September, he's down to a .212 wOBA and .218 xwOBA. As has also been the case for a while, Albies is no longer terrorizing lefties. In his first seven seasons, he had five where he hit lefties super-well, and one of the ones where he didn't was a tiny-sample 2020 where he was hurt. In both 2024 and 2025, his xwOBA against lefties dwindled to an okay .325ish. This year? He's down to .282. He's only posted an xwOBA at or above .300 against lefties this season in April and July. In September so far, it's .171. There's not really that much time for Albies to change the script of his season, but this is a really disappointing follow-up to 2025 and it's going to be the third straight year where Albies turns in an underwhelming season.
Anyway, should we do batter versus pitcher while waiting for the Cubs to post their lineup? Sure, I guess. These guys are very familiar with Peterson, after all. Amazingly, neither Drake Baldwin nor Mauricio Dubon have ever faced Peterson, and Kim only has four PAs against him, but everyone else has somewhere between 12 and 30. Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson have destroyed Peterson in their careers, and Riley's been fine, but everyone else has struggled a bit. Add this all up, and you get a .318 wOBA and .347 xwOBA in 141 career head-to-head PAs.
As for the Cubs, well…

Ja'Marr Chase, George Pickens and other fantasy football bad beats not to worry about appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Week 1 can make fantasy managers question an entire summer of research. A first-round receiver disappears, a breakout candidate misses his projection and suddenly the trade block looks tempting. The better approach is to separate disappointing box scores from genuinely concerning roles. Ja'Marr Chase and George Pickens hurt lineups in Week 1, but neither performance provided a good reason to panic.

Chase delivered the most shocking dud of the opening weekend, catching two of four targets for only 12 yards in Cincinnati's 33-27 victory over Tampa Bay. He finished behind Mike Gesicki, Tee Higgins and Chase Brown in targets despite entering the week as fantasy football's consensus top wide receiver.
The four targets were frustrating, but the result looks more like an outlier than a changing offensive hierarchy. Chase's 3.2 PPR points represented the second-worst fantasy performance of his career. He has also averaged 5.5 fewer fantasy points in September than during every other month, demonstrating that slow starts are nothing new.
