This one had everything. Troy Melton struggled and got knocked out early, but the bullpen managed to bend without breaking. Meanwhile, the young Tigers hitters were centre stage as they fought back repeatedly with good at-bats late in this one. Kenley Jansen picked up his 496th major league save to wrap up the victory.
Monday night's first of three at the Rogers Centre featured Melton against right-hander José Soriano. The Blue Jays have had almost as strange a season as the Tigers. Struggling through the first half, they moved long time top starter Kevin Gausman, but acquired Soriano at the deadline as well, and have kept themselves in the thick of the wild card race.
Things didn't start off too well as the Tigers quickly went 1-2-3 in the first, and Melton immediately dug himself a hole. Brett Bateman led off by slashing a single the opposite way past a diving Hao-Yu Lee for a leadoff single. Bateman appeared to be thrown out stealing second on a pitch that was called a ball and incorrectly challenged by Dillon Dingler to walk George Springer. So everyone was safe, and after Vladimir Guerrero Jr. grounded out to advance the runners, Alejandro Kirk singled home Bateman for a 1-0 lead.
Melton didn't help his cause against Nathan Lukes by yanking a wild pitch to score Springer, but he retired Lukes and Kazuma Okamoto flew out to Clark to end the first inning. 2-0 Blue Jays.
A Dingler strikeout started the second inning, and Max Clark and Brett Callahan grounded out.

The Boston Celtics have reportedly signed Devin Carter to a training camp deal, per HoopsHype's Michael Scotto. Carter, 24, will have the opportunity to either earn a spot on Boston's main NBA roster or to join Amari Williams and Dillon Mitchell as one of the Celtics' three two-way talents. Should he sign a two-way deal, he would be expected to spend the majority of the season with the Maine Celtics. Still, it's fair to ******* ume he'd get a chance to impress with the NBA roster at some point, too.
Unfortunately, the decision to sign Carter doesn't come without a potential roster casualty. Milos Uzan has been with the Celtics since signing an Exhibit 10 contract earlier this summer. Uzan instantly impressed when suiting up for the Celtics during Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4 ******* ists per game, shooting 36.8 percent from 3-point range and 38.1 percent from the field.
Following John Tonje's decision to join the Portland Trail Blazers on a two-way deal earlier in the offseason, the path for Uzan to earn the final two-way spot with the Celtics appeared wide open. Sure, he'd have to impress during training camp and beat out Tucker DeVries, but given Boston's need for a depth piece at guard, everything seemed to be lining up.
Now, with Carter also in the mix, Uzan is facing a far tougher battle to prove himself and earn a two-way spot with the Celtics. Uzan is a talented young guard and should have no problem finding a home in the coming months if things do not go his way.
Hopefully, he remains in Maine regardless of whether he gets a two-way deal. After all, he could still work with the Celtics' developmental staff and potentially prove the front office wrong for signing Carter, should that come to pass. Of course, Uzan will likely draw interest from elsewhere if Carter does beat Uzan to the Celtics' final two-way spot, and unfortunately for Uzan, that's just part of trying to make it in the NBA.

CBS Sports ******* yst Garrett Podell put together his bold predictions for Week 1 of the 2026 season, one of which centers around the Jacksonville Jaguars' run defense -- and not in a positive way.
Podell made four bold Week 1 predictions, one of which is that Cleveland Browns' running back Quinshon Judkins rushes for over 75 yards against the Jaguars' defense.
"Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins ran for 827 yards as a rookie in 2025 despite the corpse of Joe Flacco, third-round rookie Dillon Gabriel and fifth-round rookie Shedeur Sanders all starting at quarterback last season," wrote Podell. "He's used to facing loaded boxes and opponents going all out to take away his production."
Of course, what makes this prediction bold is that the Jaguars boasted the top run defense unit in football last season.
A second offseason in Anthony Campanile's scheme, along with no significant losses this offseason, a few new rookie additions, and second-year players BJ Green and Danny Striggow making potential jumps, are all reasons to believe that this unit can once again be quite good.

A clash of former UFC champions on the RAF mats didn't last long.
In the main event of RAF Moscow, former UFC middleweight champ Khamzat Chimaev took on former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley. The event took place at Arena Mytishchi in Moscow, Russia – the first RAF show in the country. Chimaev and Woodley competed in a catchweight match at 195 pounds.
Chimaev jumped out to a 2-0 lead, and then got a body lock takedown on Woodley, pinning his back flat onto the canvas with 26 seconds remaining in the opening period.

Chimaev improves to 2-0 under the RAF banner, following a pinfall victory over Dillon Danis at RAF 10 in June. Woodley won his RAF debut against Joaquin Buckley at RAF 12 on Aug. 22, and now falls to .500 in the wrestling promotion.

When the Chicago Bears selected Dillon Thieneman with the 25th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, there was already going to be pressure. First-round picks are expected to contribute, and Thieneman was viewed as a player talented enough to compete for a starting role immediately.
But the circumstances around him have changed.
What was supposed to be a relatively normal transition into the NFL has turned into a situation where Thieneman may be asked to play a much bigger role than the Bears initially planned.
Chicago entered the offseason knowing it needed to improve at safety. The team signed Coby Bryant in free agency and then used its first-round pick on Thieneman, creating what looked like a promising new safety combination.
Then Bryant suffered a knee injury that is expected to keep him out for four to six months, which changes everything.

Khamzat Chimaev is back on the RAF mats and he has a fellow former UFC champion in his sights as he takes on Tyron Woodley on Saturday in the RAF Moscow main event.
RAF Moscow goes down at VTB Arena, with Chimaev and Woodley headlining, and Russian Olympic wrestling champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev taking on Zac Braunagel in the co-main event.
This marks Chimaev's second RAF appearance following a pinfall win over Dillon Danis this past June, while Woodley is also coming off of an RAF victory over Joaquin Buckley, Woodley's first combat sports victory of any kind since 2018. Previously, Chimaev and Woodley held UFC ***** les at 185 pounds and 170 pounds, respectively.
Sadulaev won gold in freestyle wrestling at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics and made his RAF debut in July against fellow Olympic champion and Kyle Snyder. Snyder picked up another win in their legendary rivalry, defeating Sadulaev by pinfall at RAF Georgia.
Also competing Saturday are wrestling stars Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Dake, and Kennedy Blades, as well as UFC fighters Bo Nickal and Shara Magomedov, former two-division ONE Championship ***** leholder Anatoly Malykhin, and former Bellator standout Neiman Gracie.

This time, it was a throwing error by Dillon Dingler, a Gold Glove winning catcher, that seemed to change everything.
Turning a close game into pure ugliness.
Dingler airmailed third base during a run-down, which led to a three-run inning for the Minnesota Twins, flipping a close game inside out. Then, Royce Lewis and Ryan Jeffers both hit three-run homers as the Twins scored 10 runs in the sixth inning to turn it into a rout, as the Twins pulled away with a 15-2 victory over the Tigers at Target Field on Tuesday, Sept.1.

The Cleveland Browns faced several difficult decisions as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players. Every season, the organization makes a few decisions that catch fans by surprise. Which selections at this year's deadline were particularly surprising?
Taylen Green was far from a lock to make the roster throughout the summer. As training camp came to a close and Green took some snaps in the preseason, he proved to the front office and coaching staff that he deserved a roster spot.
Dillon Gabriel was questionable to make the roster because of the fact that keeping four quarterbacks seemed like a bit too much. After a strong third preseason performance, the belief was that the Browns would either find a trade partner for Gabriel, or that he'd make the final roster outright. Instead, a curveball was thrown when he landed on injured reserve with a "back injury."
Luke Floriea not making the 53-man roster was a bit of a surprise, but it is an even bigger surprise that the team does not intend to bring him back to the practice squad. The wide receiver group was certainly more competitive this season, so it was going to be tough for Floriea to make it in that group. Most felt Floriea did enough during the preseason to earn a spot with the team in some capacity, making the decision not to add him to the practice squad all the more surprising.

Riley Greene returns to the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday, September 1, as one of the club's call-ups after the rosters expand. The three-time All-Star has been on the IL for almost three weeks with a hamstring injury, and the Tigers have been struggling mightily in his absence. The team went 4-14 in the 18 games since the injury, and have gone from fringe contenders in the playoff hunt to non-factors in the Wild Card race. Although the bullpen has continued its season-long struggle during this time, the team's offense has really struggled. Here is how he can help his team as Riley Greene returns from the IL.
The Tigers are currently in fourth place in the AL Central and are just one win up from the Kansas City Royals, who have dwelt in the basement all season long. They sit six whole games back from the last Wild Card spot as Riley Greene returns, and are really struggling at the plate. Although Dillon Dingler has been one of the best catchers in baseball, he hit a severe slump right around the time that Greene hit the IL. Others like Spencer Torkelson have found it tough to get their game going all season long. Meanwhile, injuries have also been a factor as Kerry Carpenter and as mentioned Greene have found themselves hitting the IL in recent weeks.
Although he hasn't hit the same heights as the last two seasons, Riley Greene remains one of the Tigers' most productive bats. Through 177 games in 2026, he's slugged 16 home runs and driven in 54 runners, with an OPS of .816, making him the team's most dangerous hitter this season. Rookies Kevin McGonigle and Max Clark have made waves in recent weeks, but the team can't rely on their young players to deliver when it really matters, that's when veterans need to step up to the plate, literally.

McGonigle continues to make a great case for AL Rookie of the Year honors, and Clark who has collected 23 hits in his first 28 games in the big leagues. They will get a boost as Riley Greene returns to lengthen this lineup and give protection to the two of them, as well as the struggling Dingler and Torkelson. Knowing that Greene is in the lineup is going to make pitchers want to challenge these other batters a bit more than they have, so the other starters should see more fastballs in the zone. Fans will worry whether or not it is too late for 2026.

Willem II have announced the signing of goalkeeper Maxime Delanghe on loan from Cercle Brugge until the end of the season. Cercle Brugge have announced that there is not a purchase agreement as part of the loan deal. With Willem II's first choice goalkeeper Thomas Didillon-Hödl having suffered a long-term injury, the side clearly felt the need to bring in a replacement. Karst de Leeuw has started the previous two games for Willem II, and will likely now compete with Delanghe for the starting spot.
Delanghe returns to Dutch football for the first time since 2022, when he left PSV to join Lierse. Delanghe had played for Jong PSV but never made an appearance for the senior side. After 18 appearances for Lierse, Delanghe joined Cercle Brugge on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. During the 2024/2025 season he became the clubs first choice goalkeeper, going on to play 32 games. Last season he played 18 games but was eventually dropped in favour of Warleson. The Brazilian has since left the club, but Cercle Brugge brought in former KV Mechelen goalkeeper Gaëtan Coucke this summer to be their new number one.
Willem II have picked up one point from their opening three games in the Eredivisie, conceding 10 goals in that time.

Since former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton III is now available, the Cleveland Browns might be interested in signing him. This may not be good news for Shedeur Sanders if Browns reporter Jared Mueller is to be believed.

Bringing in Milton will likely mean that either Sanders, Dillon Gabriel or the rookie, Taylen Green, will have to leave, because having five quarterbacks is a non-brainer. Even four quarterbacks, which the Browns currently have on their roster, is too much.
Since Milton has experience and Green is a rookie, Sanders is the most likely player to be let go if Milton is signed as per Mueller.
"Whatever you think about Sanders' talent, last year he lost a quarterback competition to the aged Joe Flacco and the undersized Gabriel," Mueller writes. "All three played poorly in 2025. Then, this year with a new coaching staff and added talent around him, Sanders lost a quarterback competition to Deshaun Watson, who hasn't been good for half a decade and is coming off missing a year and a half of football. None of that screams that the Cleveland organization is high on Sanders."

J.J. McCarthy stays on the Vikings 53 — and the injury story still doesn't add up. The Minnesota Vikings set their 53-man roster with J.J. McCarthy still on it, then spent Monday shuffling the edges. On The Real Forno Show, Tyler Forness and Dave Stefano unpacked the leak that McCarthy's ankle is suddenly "week to week," Ben Goessling's report that McCarthy himself chose not to play Friday, the Max Brosmer and Dillon Bell cuts, waiver claims of Trevor Keegan and Nick Samac, and a practice squad still taking shape.
Forness opened with the elephant in the room: he expected Minnesota to move on from McCarthy before the deadline. Then Adam Schefter said on Pat McAfee that the ankle is a multi-week injury — 10 days after the sprain, after McCarthy practiced fully Monday and Tuesday. "I don't buy it for a second," Forness said. "If it really was a multi-week injury… now we're calling it a week-to-week injury after he goes out and practices in full?" Stefano called a grade-one deltoid sprain "100% playable" and asked why sitting Friday or leaking "week to week" would help trade stock. Forness noted other backups (Quinn Ewers, Kyle McCord) already moved for sixth-rounders, and that waiting only shrinks the market. Goessling reported the sit-out was McCarthy's call, not the organization's. "It was him not being comfortable playing in the game," Forness quoted. "The whole thing just smells rotten."
Monday's moves were clearer. Minnesota claimed interior linemen Keegan and Samac after trading Walter Rouse, then waived Brosmer and Bell to make room. Forness said if McCarthy can't go Week 1, Kevin O'Connell will want a third active-roster quarterback because an emergency QB must be on the 53, not the practice squad. They also ran the rest of the roster: four tight ends with T.J. Hockenson in a contract year; Tyler Batty's torn ACL thinning the edge; Caleb Banks as a long-term "unicorn" pick, not a Year 1 finished product. "You drafted him for '27, '29, and '30," Forness said. "Trading him now would be incredibly shortsighted."
J.J. McCarthy saga: McCarthy practiced fully Monday and Tuesday before sitting out Wednesday. He chose not to play Friday's preseason finale despite the plan being for him to start the first half. Trade talks reportedly occurred but no deal materialized. Tyler expects a new quarterback added if McCarthy can't play Week 1.
Offensive line: The Vikings claimed Trevor Keegan (fourth-ranked PFF guard) and Nick Samac (top PFF preseason center), both with center versatility. Walter Rouse was traded for a sixth-round pick. Max Brosmer and Dillon Bell were waived.

Luke Keaschall was a much-needed spark plug, Walker Jenkins doinked his first MLB homer off the right field pole, Jeffers added two bombs of his own, his first since the last day of July, and Taj Bradley delivered one of his best starts of the season when the Twins most needed it. It was a fun night at the ballpark when the Twins really needed a win!
Let's start on the offensive side. Facing Jackson Jobe, the former top pitching prospect in all of baseball, the Twins struck in the first inning, as they are wont to do of late, with a leadoff double from Keaschall eventually coming around on Kody Clemens sac fly. And then things went eerily quiet for Minnesota's hitters, also as they are wont to do of late.
They had chances to add on before the game exploded, but still didn't hit well with runners in scoring position despite the big number on the scoreboard. They went 2-9 with RISP against actual pitchers, with an added hit off of position player Zach McKinstry in the eighth to juice the stats. A leadoff double from Kaelen Culpepper in the third gave them a good run scoring opportunity, but a Jenkins pop out and Brooks Lee GIDP after a Keaschall single kept the game at 1-0 after three innings.
Clemens came back around and added a run on his own in the fourth inning, a no-doubt solo shot over the dock in right field to put the Twins up 2-0. They had another great opportunity to add on that inning with the bases loaded and just one out, but the rookies Culpepper and Jenkins both popped out to end the threat.
Then came the fifth inning when things finally broke open. Keaschall reached first base on an error by the Tigers' third baseman. Hao-Yu Lee couldn't get the grip on a soft grounder hit his way, trying to get it quickly to nab a hustling Keaschall. Keaschall then stole second easily off one of the best defensive catchers in baseball, Dillon Dingler. Keaschall had third easily in the same at-bat as well, but Clemens fouled off a pitch to send Luke back to second. Clemens eventually walked before Ryan Jeffers hit a three run blast to give the Twins their first comfortable lead of the night.

Max Brosmer and Dillon Bell made the Vikings' 53-man roster on Sunday, only to be released on Monday.
That's the word from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and The Athletic's Alec Lewis, whose reports came shortly after the Vikings reportedly signed two of the top-rated preseason interior offensive linemen off waivers.
Brosmer and Bell now head to waivers. If they're not claimed, Minnesota could sign them to the practice squad.
Brosmer started two games and played in seven more as an undrafted rookie last season. He made the team after impressing head coach Kevin O'Connell with his quick decision-making and understanding of a complicated offensive scheme.
When he played, it didn't go well. That said, his first career start was in Seattle, where the eventual Super Bowl champs smoked the Vikings 34-0. Brosmer completed 66 percent of his passes while throwing four interceptions and zero touchdowns.

Today was deadline day for all 32 NFL teams to trim their rosters down to the 53-man limit. We saw a number of trades over the last few days, and a handful of surprising roster moves, both in terms of cuts and players who survived the cut. For the Minnesota Vikings, while they did not make any huge moves, they did keep three undrafted free agents:
Jacob Thomas, Safety
Brett Thorson, Punter
Dillon Bell, Wide Receiver
Potentially the least surprising undrafted free agent to make an NFL roster this season is safety Jacob Thomas out of James Madison. Thomas has impressed in a big way during training camp and has stacked solid preseason performances. Thorson will be pushing for the starting punter job, and Bell should make a quality special-teamer and depth wide receiver for the Vikings this season.

Ever since the start of the offseason for the Cleveland Browns, which included minicamp and OTAs, head coach Todd Monken declared the quarterback competition to be a two-horse race between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders.
Watson's inclusion made sense, as the Browns signed him to a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed deal in 2022 that has been met with far subpar play and injuries, as Watson has only suited up for 19 games as a Brown. The franchise is trying to squeeze something, anything out of the former Pro-Bowler. Sanders, a fifth-round pick in 2025, started the final seven games of his rookie season, posting poor counting and advanced stats, but led Cleveland to a 3-4 record.
The two quarterbacks included in the race make sense. But the exclusion of former Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel, a third-rounder in 2025, was a bit puzzling.
Sure, he'd gone just 1-5 as the starter as a rookie and struggled to push the ball down the field, but he kept the ball out of harms way, throwing seven touchdowns to two interceptions. Considering the draft capital that the Browns had invested in Gabriel, plus only middling quarterback play in a downright bad offensive atmosphere around him, there's a case to be made that the former Duck should've had at least some chance to earn the Browns' starting job.
Yet, he wasn't given any shot, taking reps with Cleveland's third-team all summer.

Bare-knuckle boxing superstar Mike Perry is sticking with MMA and staying on the inaugural Duel: Arena card, despite the last-minute withdrawal of his original opponent, Dillon Danis. Taking Danis' place will be UFC veteran Brandon Jenkins.
Perry (15-8) returned to the win column in MMA when he took on fellow veteran Nate Diaz at the MVP MMA card in May on Netflix. In a lopsided effort, Perry battered Diaz with his patented aggression, ****** ing Diaz en route to a second-round TKO via doctor's stoppage. Since his UFC departure in 2021, Perry has gone undefeated across bare-knuckle boxing matches and MMA, with his lone combat sports loss coming in a boxing match against Jake Paul in July 2024.
Jenkins (17-11) steps in on short notice, having last fought the same night as Perry. In his MVP MMA bout, Jenkins scored a split decision nod over Chris Avila to snap a two-fight losing skid. It's been a journey of ups and downs for Jenkins after he left the UFC in 2022, fighting across MMA, bare-knuckle MMA and Karate Combat.

Deshaun Watson holds the Cleveland Browns' starting job heading into Week 1, with Shedeur Sanders locked in behind him as the No. 2. As both sat out the preseason finale, forgotten options Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green got the chance to play against the New England Patriots.
And they made the best use of the opportunity to torch New England on Thursday night. Their solid display puts real pressure on Coach Prime's son.
Gabriel played the entire first half and put up great numbers. He went 12-of-15 for 186 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He connected with Luke Floriea for two scores, starting with a 6-yard touchdown pass early on, and also completed big gains of 52 and 29 yards.
Green took over for the second half and led a long, 98-yard touchdown drive. He leaned heavily on his elite running ability, which matches his 4.36-second 40-yard dash from the combine. Backed by their strong performances, the Browns secured a convincing 37-13 victory.

Al Michaels has reached a remarkable number of milestones, and Thursday night marked his crowning achievement. And it didn't have to do with his work as a legendary play-by-play announcer.
Michaels and his wife, Linda Anne Stamato, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
Thursday also brought the first Amazon Prime Video NFL broadcast of the 2026 football season, with the New England Patriots taking on the Cleveland Browns.
So, Michaels had play-by-play duties for Prime Video at Huntington Bank Field, and the Browns wished Al and Linda a happy 60th anniversary on the videoboard.
And with the second half about to start, Cleveland first-year head coach Todd Monken spoke with Prime Video sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung, who asked him about Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Unprompted, Monken used the interview as an opportunity to deliver a message to Al and Linda.

Mike Perry will not be fighting Dillon Danis this weekend in Orlando, Fla.
Perry made the announcement during Thursday's Duel Arena 1 pre-fight press conference. On 48-hours notice, former UFC fight Brandon Jenkins stepped in to face "Platinum" at Kia Center. The bout headlines the fight card.
"Let's not beat around the bush. This p*ssy ****** b*tch Dillon Danis didn't show the f*ck up," Perry said. "He's not here. He backed the f*ck out because he's a p*ssy.
"I want to give a shout out to my new opponent Brandon Jenkins. He's getting on a plane right now. He's flying here to weigh in the morning like a professional and fight me on Saturday night."
Danis pulling out of fights is nothing new. He last fought MMA in August 2025, defeating Warren Spencer at Misfits 22. He's had freestyle wresting matches in RAF against Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev earlier this year and is scheduled to face Arman Tsarukyan for the inaugural RAF Middleweight Crossover Championship in the main event on October 3, 2026 at RAF 14.

The third preseason game for the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots did not include a lot of players who will play a lot of snaps in Week 1, but it did include a lot of roster bubble guys. The amazing Browns fans were planning to tune in, with QBs Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green taking the snaps this week:
The biggest stories coming out of the game will be any injuries and how those bubble players perform with the chances that they are given. Some of the evaluation is tougher given the level of talent on the other side of the field, with the Patriots also not playing their top guys. Take everything within that perspective.
A few takeaways from Thursday Night Football off the shores of Lake Erie:

Drake Maye and the Patriots frontline players will not play again Thursday night, as the emphasis remains on health with Week 1 just under two weeks away. In total, 38 players are not in uniform which includes a handful of those already dealing with injuries.

The MMA personality best known for constantly talking but rarely fighting is out of yet another scheduled bout.
Mike Perry announced Thursday at his pre-fight press conference that Dillon Danis is out of their Saturday MMA fight at Duel Arena 1 inside the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.
Perry said there was "no communication" from Danis, so instead the undefeated bare-knuckle sensation will face Brandon Jenkins, a former UFC competitor, in the MMA contest.
Depending on the source, Danis is either 2-0 or 3-0 as an MMA fighter, but he's spent most of his time talking about and trolling other fighters and losing grappling, wrestling and boxing matches.
He's lost his two most recent RAF matches to Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington, lost in boxing to Logan Paul in 2023, and lost four straight grappling matches from 2016-17. He last fought in MMA in 2019.

It's deja vu all over again. Dillon Danis won't be fighting this weekend against Mike Perry.
Perry (15-8) announced at a pre-fight news conference Thursday that he'll instead be fighting former UFC fighter Brandon Jenkins (17-11) at Duel Arena 1 at Kia Center in Orlando, Fla.
"Let's not beat around the bush," Perry said. "This p*ssy-ass b*tch Dillon Danis didn't show the f*ck up. He's not here. He backed the f*ck out because he's a p*ssy."
It's unclear why Danis (3-0) is no longer fighting. He has not publicly spoken on the issue, but he's built a reputation for withdrawing from fights over the years.
Jenkins, 34, was in Nevada on Thursday when he got the call to compete. He is currently en route from Las Vegas to Orlando to weigh in tomorrow morning. Over the course of his nearly 17-year competitive career, Jenkins has made stops in the UFC, LFA, PFL, Gamebred Bareknuckle, Karate Combat, and most recently, MVP MMA in May, when he defeated Chris Avila by split decision.

Real American Freestyle is changing the schedule for two upcoming events.
Thursday, the wrestling promotion announced RAF 13 and RAF 14 will have new dates, while keeping the same location and venue.
RAF 13 was scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla. It will now take place a day earlier, on Friday, Sept. 18. RAF 13 is headlined by a matchup between former welterweight champions Colby Covington and Belal Muhammad. The event also features former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold vs. contender Joe Pyfer.
RAF 14 was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, and now moves to Friday, Oct. 23. RAF 14 is headlined by a match between UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan and Dillon Danis.

As the Seattle Seahawks prepare for their preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs, we at Seahawks Wire wanted to resume a tradition of ours. It's high time we took another trip... Behind Enemy Lines.
Every week, I reach out to my colleagues in the NFL Wires Network to get a better idea of the opponent Seattle will be facing. Up first will be John Dillon, who is the lead writer over at our sister site Chiefs Wire. We'll be reaching out to Dillon later in the year because the Seahawks will host the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. But for the time being, we're still in the preseason. I asked Dillon four questions about Kansas City at this stage, and his answers are below.
"Walker missed practice on August 25 due to injury, and I fear that his time in Kansas City may end up being defined by his availability rather than his ability to produce — it is my understanding that this was the case in Seattle before the Super Bowl run. Either way, Walker figures to be a key contributor to the Chiefs' offense this season and is still on track to be Kansas City's starting running back in Week 1. If he stays healthy, I expect the Chiefs to commit to giving him ample touches in the running game, which could make him a top performer in fantasy football."
"Andy Reid has always seemed to struggle with his running backs, but I think he has a chance to finally break that trend with Walker. Given that Patrick Mahomes is returning from a serious knee injury on a seemingly rushed timeline, it seems likely that Reid will commit to a more straightforward North-South running game with Walker in the backfield. Plays that don't require any complex footwork or extra movement from the quarterback. It also seems probable that Reid will turn away from some of the run-pass option action that has characterized Chiefs football for so long now. Ultimately, the acquisition of Walker is a hedge against Mahomes' injury and Kansas City's ability (or inability, as it were) to establish a viable air attack in the two-time MVP's absence."
"Rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen has generated a ton of hype in training camp and has looked like a capable prospect during the Chiefs' two preseason losses. In terms of a lesser-known standout, though, I think third-year defensive back Jaden Hicks is the player to watch. All of the departures in Kansas City's secondary during the offseason have given Hicks a huge opportunity to earn a starting role, and he seems to have made the most of the chance he's been given."
