The Cardinals drafted defensive tackle Walter Nolen with the 16th overall pick in 2025. He played six games with no starts and totaled 11 tackles, two sacks and five quarterback hits.
"I don't feel like I did enough," Nolen said, via Darren Urban of the team website. "Being healthy is a big part of it."
Nolen had a calf injury early and a meniscus tear in his left knee late.
He was limping on the sideline during Friday's practice, but Nolen is healthy.
"I'm great. It was just a little hiccup," Nolen said. "We got a long season ahead, so just doing what's best for me. I'm faithful in the work that I put in. I'm faithful in the Lord, and I feel like everything good."

The world's shrinking spare capacity to produce gasoline and diesel is running up against the White House's desire to temper the rise in pump prices ahead of the midterms.
The chief executives of Exxon Mobil and Chevron warned Friday that refineries that produce gasoline and diesel are already running at full tilt and can't be turned up much more to make up for global shortages due to the war in Iran and other geopolitical hotspots. That could mean higher prices for consumers at the pump in the coming months, they said.
Exxon Mobil CEO Darren Woods said the company would "push as hard as we can" to increase fuel production given that higher energy prices have a "significant impact on consumers and people's pocketbooks."
"With all that supply out, we're well below available capacity, frankly, that I've ever seen," he said on the company's earnings call. "It's going to take a while for the industry to kind of climb its way out of that hole."
Their remarks come as the Trump administration is racing to blunt the impact of elevated gasoline prices with three months until Americans go to the polls. The American Automobile ***** ociation reported nationwide pump prices were averaging $4.10 per gallon — nearly a dollar more than the same period last year. Refineries in the United States, meanwhile, operated at roughly 97 percent of their operable capacity this month, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said this week, while Shell reported Friday that it was running its refineries at record rates actually above their official capacities during the second quarter.

All offseason, there has been legitimate excitement about New York Jets wide receiver Adonai Mitchell. Now that training camp has arrived, Mitchell possesses an opportunity to prove the attention he's been receiving is warranted. He's being positioned to be the offense's WR2 opposite Garrett Wilson.
Jets general manager Darren Mougey recently spoke with reporters at training camp. Mougey expressed excitement over what Mitchell can be for this offense. The arrow continues pointing up for the ascending wideout.
"I'm excited to see Adonai's continued growth," Mougey responded to a question about Mitchell's potential. "He had a good offseason, a good OTAs. We expect to see that continued growth throughout training camp. I'm excited to watch him and that entire wideout room come together."
Mitchell must sustain this momentum to secure his positioning in the Jets' receiving pecking order. There is competition for targets in Frank Reich's offense.

The New York Jets placed veteran edge rusher Joseph Ossai on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to start training camp, the team confirmed.
Ossai will be ineligible to practice at camp until he passes a physical and gets activated off the list. It adds a bit more pressure for rookie No. 2 overall pick David Bailey to hit the ground running at camp.
Jets general manager Darren Mougey signed Ossai to a three-year contract worth $34.5 million in free agency this offseason. Indications are Ossai is working through a minor undisclosed injury and won't be sidelined for long. For however long Ossai remains on the PUP, it could mean additional reps with the first-team defense for Bailey.
The Jets selected Bailey at No. 2 overall in the 2026 NFL draft to help transform a pass rush that finished 31st in sacks last year with just 26 quarterback takedowns. Bailey was an outstanding college pass rusher who simply needs to defend the run with better mechanics before becoming the all-around playmaker he's capable of being.
Hopefully Ossai is activated off the PUP sooner rather than later. The Jets are counting on his veteran experience to help them field an upgraded defensive line unit this coming season. Until then, Bailey could be afforded more opportunities to shine at training camp.

Chelsea has been busy this summer. The Stamford Bridge club has broken its transfer record to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa with Marco Palestra also joining from Atalanta and Geovany Quenda coming in from Sporting CP. Chelsea has clearly altered its strategy ahead of the 2026/27 season.
This is reflected by the Blues' interest in Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck, both of whom are reportedly close to joining the Stamford Bridge outfit. Henderson is 36 while Welbeck is 35. That Chelsea is even interested in such experienced players says a lot about how the strategy has changed over the summer.

The Toronto Maple Leafs made Darren Raddysh one of their biggest NHL offseason investments. Now, expectations are rising before he has played a regular-season game for his hometown team.

Quarterback Geno Smith is back with the Jets. In the first offseason of his second tenure with the team, Smith was involved in an incident that sparked an on-again, off-again police investigation. (The probe is currently off.)
On Tuesday, in his first press conference since the situation unfolded, Smith expressed regret for creating an off-field issue for his team.

The 35-year-old quarterback opened his news conference Tuesday after he and his teammates reported for training camp by addressing ******* ault accusations by a woman last month in Davie, Florida. After a short investigation, the case was closed without any charges filed.
"I really hate the fact that, you know, something I was a part of could have been a distraction for this team, my teammates, this organization because a lot of hard work's been put in," Smith said. "And a lot of guys have put a lot of work in for us to be in a good spot as a team. I'm happy that I'm able to put this behind me. I'm looking forward to moving forward and just continuing to build day by day with my guys."
Smith, in his second stint with the Jets after being acquired from Las Vegas in March, said he spoke with coach Aaron Glenn, general manager Darren Mougey and his teammates about the situation but didn't discuss any details. Smith also reportedly had two traffic violations in Florida during the offseason.

Darren Elkins is ready to make the walk one more time at UFC Vegas 120.
"The Damage" is set to fight Yadier del Valle (10-1) on Aug. 8 in a featherweight bout, one of several matchups officially announced Thursday for the upcoming show at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. For Elkins (19-11), this will be his 31st octagon appearance.
The 42-year-old Elkins hasn't fought since April 2025, when he lost via first-round TKO to Julian Erosa, snapping a two-fight win streak. In a post on Instagram, Elkins referred to the del Valle fight as "My last dance!"
Del Valle looks to rebound from his first pro loss after he was defeated by Jordan Leavitt this past February.

Privately-held NACPC of Nashville operates 20,000 chassis serving major intermodal markets across North America. The deal brings New York-based ITE's fleet to 60,000 units, which it said would strengthen its presence across key freight corridors and expand its range of leasing solutions.
No terms were disclosed.
"Milestone, Trend, and NACPC have each built strong businesses with their own identities, but they're united by a common approach: deep industry expertise, responsive service, and a commitment to quality," said Darren Hawkins, chief executive of NACPC, in a release. "Bringing these companies together creates a more powerful platform that expands our reach while continuing to deliver the reliable equipment and service our customers expect."
The strategic consolidation gives ITE a roughly 30% share of the 200,000 chassis operated as part of cooperative pools; chassis availability has been a recurring bottleneck in drayage and port operations. NACPC gains a larger capital base and broader operating footprint; it has long pursued a core model of pooled, interoperable chassis operations to reduce cost and improve availability. On the field, Blake Cashman is an excellent part of the overall Sunday effort. His great issue is being healthy enough to stay on the field.
Word has emerged of the Vikings defender again dealing with injury. More specifically, there's a finger problem. The update began circulating on social media as a news aggregator account called "The Purple Persuasion" attributed the news to KTSP's Darren Wolfson, a plugged-in Vikings reporter who was offering the news for SKOR North. A game of telephone took place on social media but Wolfson did respond to the post, doing so to affirm Cashman's abilities as a player. The social media post does clarify that Cashman should be ready to roll for training camp.
Nobody gets through NFL football unscathed. Injury is more of a matter of when rather than if. What can differ, though, is the frequency and severity of the ailment. These factors then work toward a player needing time off or being able to push through.
Cashman, unfortunately, gets hurt more than most.
The veteran linebacker played a full season once. In 2019, Cashman got drafted at No. 157 overall, going in the 5th to the New York Jets. He has since seen his total games get to sixteen just a single time: the 2022 season where he started a single game and played just 149 snaps on defense. He hasn't been able to play seventeen games, the new normal for the NFL.

The New York Jets are arguably deeper at wide receiver than they've ever been. Garrett Wilson is healthy and will be the passing offense's go-to playmaker.
The Jets are expecting big things from Adonai Mitchell, and they also used a first-round pick on Omar Cooper Jr. out of Indiana.
Wilson, Mitchell, and Cooper will be the Jets' unquestioned top three receivers. Isaiah Williams looked like a strong bet during offseason workouts (OTAs and minicamp) to make the 53-man roster. **** uming the Jets keep five receivers, the final spot could come down to the experience of Tim Patrick versus the upside of Arian Smith.
Jets general manager Darren Mougey signed Patrick earlier this offseason after their shared experience together with the Denver Broncos. Patrick was a very impactful receiver in 2020-21, but has encountered some difficult injuries as of late. He registered 15 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns with the Jacksonville Jaguars last year.
Smith disappointed as a fourth-round rookie last season. The former Georgia standout recorded just seven receptions for 52 yards and zero touchdowns. The Jets should make him earn a 53-man roster spot this offseason, as opposed to handing him one based on the size of the investment.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services is seeing heightened interest for its intermodal and dedicated services, given a steady exodus of non-compliant drivers and following the Supreme Court's ruling widening liability exposure for brokers. The changing landscape is forcing shippers to seek "safe, secure and reliable capacity," the company said Wednesday in conjunction with its second-quarter report, which was significantly better than ***** ysts expected.
The Lowell, Arkansas-based company's second quarter marked a record for intermodal volumes. It reported a 10% year-over-year increase in loads, outpacing 8% y/y growth in total intermodal carloads on the U.S. Class I railroads. (North American containers were up 5% y/y).
"[Intermodal] conversion activity is at levels we have not seen in more than a decade," said Darren Field, president of intermodal, on a Wednesday evening conference call with ***** ysts.
The company's dedicated truckload pipeline ended the period at an all-time high.
J.B. Hunt's (NASDAQ: JBHT) operating leverage was again evident in the period. It grew operating income 32% y/y to $259 million on a 19% increase in revenue. The company has removed $135 million in structural costs over the past year through AI-led and other automation initiatives.
