The Kansas City Chiefs might be without rookie defensive back Mansoor Delane during their Week 8 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
Delane — who joined Kansas City as the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft — is said to be dealing with a shoulder injury and was a non-participant in the Chiefs' practice session on Thursday, October 29.
It is unclear if Delane will need to miss any time due to his condition, but fans in Kansas City should monitor the first-year standout's progress throughout the week to see if the Chiefs ****** ign him an official game status designation for the team's AFC West tilt with Denver.

A former LSU Tigers star, Delane has been among Kansas City's most impressive defenders this year and is expected to develop into a franchise player for the Chiefs as his NFL career progresses.

Where to watch 76ers vs. Knicks today: Channel, live stream, time, TV schedule for Friday NBA Cup game originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
On Opening Night, the Philadelphia 76ers spoiled the New York Knicks' ring ceremony. Now, the Knicks have a chance to return the favor.
For the second time in two weeks to open the NBA regular season, the Knicks and 76ers will meet. This time, though, the game moves to Philadelphia as LeBron James and Tyrese Maxey welcome the defending champions to Xfinity Mobile Arena.
The Knicks' ******* le defense is off to a slow start, as they've dropped a bunch of close games to begin the campaign, whil the 76ers are off to a much better beginning to the James' era. Still, the Knicks represent the team to beat in the NBA, so the 76ers will surely not take them lightly.
This game also marks the first NBA Cup game for both of these teams in the 2026-27 season. New York won the NBA Cup last year and hopes to defend that crown as well.

"She's doing great," Bieniemy said, via Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest. "She actually went on the trip this weekend, she was on the wives trip. She was a rock star, obviously. I was just a has-been. She's doing great. Her rehab has been going great."

The Denver Broncos had a great week from their entire team against the Arizona Cardinals with multiple standout performers, but none better than inside linebacker Alex Singleton.
Singleton finished the game with an unreal 19 total tackles, including a sack, and was all over the field making plays for the Broncos defense.
That's the most tackles in a game by any player this season and most tackles by a player in a non-overtime game since 2023. Singleton continues to dominate and not only is he the leader in tackles this season, but he has 15 more than the next highest player, All-Pro Fred Warner.

Riding the momentum that carried them to district championships, Brandeis and Smithson Valley recorded playoff victories in a doubleheader held Thursday at Littleton Gym.
Junior Cecily Alva had 15 kills and freshman Addison Wells had 40 ***** ists to lead Brandeis to a 25-17, 25-18, 26-24 victory against Pieper in a Class 6A Division II first-round playoff.
Meanwhile, freshman Victoria Jaster had 22 kills, and senior Emma Feomaia had 41 ***** ists for Smithson Valley in a 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-12 win against Alamo Heights in a 5A Division I playoff.
Brandeis climbed out of a third-set hole to secure the sweep. Junior Olivia Munoz added 14 kills and junior Addison Rodgers had 12 for the Broncos, who improved to 30-13 and next face Dripping Springs - a five-set winner over Round Rock Stony Point Thursday - in the second round.
Brandeis trailed 17-11 in the third set before mounting its comeback. Pieper (27-16) nearly stretched it to a fourth set after taking a 23-18 lead. The Broncos responded with a 6-0 run to reach match point at 24-23. Alva had two kills and Araceli had an ace during that stretch.

Cameron Boozer sets a historic triple-double record to beat LeBron James originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been the surprise story of the 2026-27 NBA season, mostly because of Ty Jerome's fantastic run as the top scorer, leading them to a 5-0 record with their latest win against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday.
Jerome was pulled back down to earth after averaging 29.8 points and 6.5 **** ists per game for the Grizzlies. Thankfully for Memphis, they still had other phenomenal talents like Cameron Boozer, who was definitely the standout in the win against Portland.
Boozer had the best performance of the night because he was all over the court. He posted the first triple-double of his career by getting 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 **** ists in only 28 minutes.
It was such an impressive performance because he was playing against some talented defenders like Donovan Clingan and Toumani Camara. Boozer also showcased why he was seen as one of the most NBA-ready prospects with his poise.

Potential Yankees-David Bednar reunion's importance draws honest opinions appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New York Yankees have several important decisions to make this offseason, but what they do with David Bednar is a major one. After bringing stability to the ninth inning, the closer has made a strong case for another season in the Bronx.
Acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates at the 2025 trade deadline, Bednar had to navigate early velocity concerns and criticism following blown saves before becoming a central figure in New York's bullpen.
Bednar converted 35 of 39 save opportunities in 2026, finishing with a 2.47 ERA and 76 strikeouts across 69.1 innings. He also delivered in the postseason, allowing no runs in three innings. His work helped settle a role that has often been a question mark for New York.

Carolina Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard carried the ball 22 times for 81 yards and a touchdown versus the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. He also caught seven passes (on eight targets) for 38 yards.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: It was obvious that the Panthers wanted to duplicate their game plan from 2025 when they upset the Packers by handing the ball to Rico Dowdle and bleeding the clock. It worked for a time, but ultimately Hubbard wasn't nearly as successful. Still, the veteran back logged 29 touches for 119 yards and a touchdown during Thursday Night Football, which is strong production. The extra rest before a Week 9 matchup with the Broncos should help Hubbard heal up, and he's likely to be featured once again as Carolina works through some significant pass-protection issues. Hubbard is a low-end RB1 or strong RB2 right now.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young completed 23 of 41 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: It was clear from the jump that the Panthers wanted to control the game with Chuba Hubbard. It worked early, but once the Packers pushed out to a 27-10 lead, it was up to Young to move the ball. He had some success, mostly on quick-hitting passes, but was under constant duress, getting sacked six times on the night. The Panthers get a few extra days to regroup before facing the Broncos in Week 9. We'll see if that's enough to help get their protection issues sorted out and get Young back to the player he was in five games before the bye. Given his struggles over the last two weeks, however, it'd be a tough call to slot him into your starting lineup against Denver.

What looked like it would be a back-and-forth game between the Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers, but the Packers have run away with it, scoring 21 unanswered points since mid-way through the second quarter.
They added to their lead with a four-yard receiving touchdown from running back Josh Jacobs on their opening drive of the second half. Jacobs now has two touchdowns in the game, one rushing and one receiving. This is his first game with multiple touchdowns since Green Bay's loss to the Denver Broncos last season.
Here is a look at Jacobs' receiving touchdown, courtesy of the NFL's official social media:
The Panthers had not scored since their touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. Since then, they have punted the ball twice, and quarterback Bryce Young has thrown an interception. Their opening drive of the second half ended in a turnover on downs at midfield. However, the Panthers were able to get a field goal on their next drive, making Green Bay's lead only 14 points.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (hamstring, knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 29.

Why it Matters: With Rice remaining a limited participant, his status for the Week 8 game against the Denver Broncos is still unclear. If he does suit up, he should immediately resume his role as the No. 1 target in the passing game.

Denver Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle (chest) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 29.
SOURCE: DenverBroncos.com
Why it Matters: Waddle managed a limited practice after missing Wednesday's session, so if he continues to progress, there is a chance he could play in Week 8. That being said, Waddle has reached 50 receiving yards just once in seven games this season. It is hard to expect him to provide more than WR4 production.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 29.
SOURCE: DenverBroncos.com
Why it Matters: Harvey wasn't listed on Wednesday's practice report, so the injury is something worth monitoring heading into Friday's session. His role in the offense has been shrinking a bit with the emergence of Jonah Coleman, and while Harvey has remained involved in the passing game, he has largely been reduced to a big-play dependent flex option.

EVANSTON, Ill. — Against the window seal of David Braun's office conference room at Northwestern, a bronze statue of a man glares toward visitors.
An award Braun won in 2023, the miniature depiction of Bear Bryant, dressed in his trademark suit and a houndstooth hat, is fitting considering the program's upward trajectory and that his offense, under new coordinator Chip Kelly, is showing flashes of yesteryear: the Wing-T, Wishbone and option concepts that Bryant used to claim six national championships at Alabama more than four decades ago.
"You can call them dated. That's not fair," Braun says with a smile. "But creative!"
Life is good here in this northern Chicago suburb.
The 6-1 and 18th-ranked Wildcats are off to their best start since 2012; the fall foliage sweeps across this campus like a painter's brush; the university alignment and athletic investment is as its best since before the tumult around the clumsy handling of the end of the Pat Fitzgerald era; the program opened a more than $850 million new stadium earlier this season; and the offense is an entertaining throwback under one of the sport's most heralded gurus.

Emma Roberts gave her strapless Alex Perry sequin gown a Wild West twist with her choice of accessories. The "We're the Millers" actress attended the Clarins x F1 celebration on October 24. Her outfit brought a fresh perspective to eveningwear, blending high-octane red-carpet glamour with playful personality. Photos and videos of her look have since gone viral online.
Posing against a muted champagne backdrop at the Clarins x F1 party, Emma Roberts stood out in a sequin Alex Perry dress. Covered entirely in densely packed sequins, the garment caught the ambient light from every angle, reflecting deep chocolate-brown and warm copper tones with every movement.
The gown featured a clean, straight-across strapless neckline that highlighted her bare shoulders and arms. Further, the sculpted torso skimmed her figure before flowing into a long, floor-sweeping column skirt.
The rich bronze palette added unexpected depth and warmth that harmonized beautifully with her golden-blonde hair and glowing skin.
Roberts added a Western twist to the clean lines of her gown with a hard-shell from Judith Leiber. Known as the Cowboy Hat, Cheyenne featured the iconic shape of a Western cowboy hat and was fully encrusted with glittering champagne-gold crystals.

When Kawhi Leonard became a Toronto Raptor for the first time in the summer of 2018, he looked shellshocked. "There's just more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself," he said, introducing himself to an organization and city he reportedly had no interest in joining.
Leonard had fallen out with his former team, the San Antonio Spurs – one of the most respected franchises in professional sports – due to differences in opinion about an injury that had limited him to just nine games in the 2017-18 season. The Los Angeles native had hoped to end up in southern California, but instead the Raptors risked it all by swapping franchise cornerstone DeMar DeRozan for one year of an injured, malcontent Leonard. It worked: Leonard led the Raptors to their maiden championship on the back of a historic playoff run, averaging 30.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.9 **** ists and 1.7 steals en route. Leonard won his second finals MVP to go alongside the one he had claimed with the Spurs when he helped them to the **** le in 2014.
Related: LeBron James is everything Philadelphia wants. And everything it can't stand | Bryan Armen Graham
"The narrative of not wanting to come to this city is gone," the team's president, Masai Ujiri, said at that 2018 press conference, speaking to insecure Raptors fans who had watched American players like Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Chris Bosh leave Toronto since the franchise opened its doors in 1995. "We should move past that. Believe in this city. Believe in yourselves … We are proud of who we are."
But even a historic season wasn't enough to convince Leonard to stay north of the border. After a long and contentious free-agency period managed by his uncle, Dennis Robertson, Leonard spurned the reigning champions in favor of his hometown Los Angeles Clippers. "There wasn't as much anger in 2019 as there was with Vince Carter or some of the other guys who left," says Bruce Arthur, who has covered Leonard since 2018 for the Toronto Star. "I think he was given a little bit of special dispensation because he was going home, because he had delivered a **** le, and because I never felt like there was ever a connection outside of Kawhi the basketball player, with Toronto."

76ers' fatal flaw that will doom 2027 NBA championship chances appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
While the New York Knicks are the defending NBA champions and they should raise their championship banner with the confidence that comes with winning the franchise's first **** le in 53 years, the Philadelphia 76ers appear to be in a position to steal their thunder.
After adding Jaylen Brown and LeBron James in the offseason, the Sixers are the team that **** ody will be able to take their eyes off of as the season gets underway. Many observers believe this dynamic team — that also includes Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe — will be the best in the league.
When it comes to flat-out talent, the Sixers certainly will be able to make a great argument. But things like chemistry, familiarity and defense will also have an impact. One or more of those factors could scuttle Philadelphia's plans to become the best team in the Eastern Conference and the next NBA champions.

NFL fans are in a tizzy trying to figure out if CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson smacked Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on the ******* after their on the field interview after the Bills win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6.
We can't see exactly where her tap landed because the camera shows us only the front of both of them. It is also worth noting that she is considerably shorter than he is so the slap may not have been intended for the ******* but landed there.
Regardless, it is an odd look on the same week that Charissa Thompson was kissed by Broncos Coach Sean Payton in a pregame exchange likely not intended for the camera and millions of eyes to see.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — On a night when the Dallas Cowboys' beleaguered defense finally showed signs of life, their star-studded offense let them down.
Dak Prescott threw two interceptions in the Cowboys' 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. The Cowboys were scoreless in a first half for the first time since Nov. 7, 2021, when they trailed 16-0 at the half of a 30-16 loss to the Denver Broncos.
The Cowboys trailed 7-0 and faced second-and-8 from Green Bay's 17 when Prescott took a big hit from Zaire Franklin. On the next play, Evan Williams intercepted Prescott's pass that was intended for CeeDee Lamb.
Dallas trailed 10-0 on its next possession and had first-and-15 from Green Bay's 28 when Lamb fell on a route, enabling Packers rookie Brandon Cisse to make his first career interception.
Prescott went 34 of 54 for 258 yards. His only touchdown pass – a 6-yarder to Ryan Flournoy – came in the final minute of the game.

With eight different teams the winners over the past eight seasons, it is hard to predict who takes home the NBA's Larry O'Brien Trophy in June.
If there is to be a ninth different name in as many seasons, you might look to San Antonio Spurs, with Victor Wembanyama leading the team to the Finals last season before coming unstuck against the New York Knicks.

The Los Angeles Lakers took a gamble on making Walker Kessler the top NBA offseason addition this past summer. Kessler is a tremendous defender, but he's struggled with offense. Health has also been a huge concern after Kessler played just 5 games last season with the Utah Jazz before entering free agency. However, one rival coach believes the Lakers are now a "problem" for the rest of the league with Kessler.
Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman revealed why he has a stronger fear of the Lakers this season:
"It's just a constant thrust on the rim. It's a problem. Obviously, that's how Luka (Doncic) likes to play. You have to get overaggressive with your low man. Because Luka is a problem, obviously, and so is (Austin) Reaves. That's the problem, and what that does is create a secondary problem. You have to over-rotate to guard these guys.
I think their offense is gonna be really, really good this year. They all fit each other really well. And I thought Kessler in Utah, you saw signs of this already, especially when the guys would actually play, their main guard… On the other end, [Kessler] is a problem defensively. I think they were smart to know what they wanted, and they went and got it."
Adelman expects Doncic and Reaves to effectively run the Lakers offense, despite losing LeBron James and other starters. Kessler was then credited for the main reason the Lakers will be better defensively. One of the top West coaches having a fear of the Lakers presenting problems should provide hope for concerned fans.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker has made it a weekly tradition to surpass the already-high expectations of Chiefs Kingdom. If he didn't blow our minds enough by gashing the Denver Broncos for 173 yards on the ground in the season opener, he doubled down against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4 with 177 yards and a 76-yard run that turned the game in the second half.
Coming out of the bye week, there was reasonable speculation that rookie running back Emmett Johnson would spell Walker to keep the talented lead back fresh. Instead, Walker took the load again, gaining 139 yards from scrimmage on 21 touches.
None of his carries matched the long touchdown run that gave the Chiefs an early 9-0 lead over the Los Angeles Chargers.
On third-and-1, quarterback Patrick Mahomes came out of an under-center formation to hand off to Walker off counter action; right guard Trey Smith and second-year tight end Jake Briningstool made the key blocks to spring him in the first quarter.
"The 33-yarder was pretty open," Walker said in his post-game press conference. "(Tight end) Jake (Briningstool) came across and kicked out; there left was open."

Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck ended up using MLB legends Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan as examples of how athletes shouldn't act on camera.
All the best sports athletes have to face the camera at some point. They do it regularly for press conferences and media appearances, but those don't involve acting. For those at the very top, though, advertisements and endorsement deals mean they do have to act a little.
Some, like NBA superstar LeBron James or the NFL's Patrick Mahomes can do it well. Others have struggled with it at times. Often, they work with the biggest Hollywood superstars on such projects. Ben Affleck is among those, and he recently used two MLB stars as examples of what not to do.
Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan are two of the greatest pitchers ever. Clemens built a 24-year career with 354 wins, 4,672 strikeouts and a record seven Cy Young Awards. Ryan pitched for 27 seasons, winning 324 games and setting MLB records with 5,714 strikeouts and seven no-hitters.
They were undoubtedly great at what they did. However, they weren't so good on camera, and that's exactly what Affleck pointed out.

Hay bales, bunnies, and big smiles set the scene as Brittany and Patrick Mahomes' kids welcomed autumn, engaged in outdoor activities, farm fun, and festive surprises. The family photos featuring their three little ones capture sweet moments enjoyed by the children.
Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram to share a carousel of her family in a fall mood. Her caption was simple: "It's fall y'all," followed by a leaf emoji. The pictures point to the family enjoying the outdoors at a pumpkin patch with farm animals and autumn décor. The couple shares three kids: Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden Raye, 1.
The family of five also visited Kansas City's Power and Light District, which is a "walkable neighborhood featuring world-class restaurants, modern living," and premier entertainment facilities, according to the district's Instagram page.
The opening photo of the carousel sets the tone for the outing. Patrick carries Sterling on his shoulders and holds Golden in one arm, while Bronze stands close by. Brittany smiles beside them in a Chiefs tee, sunglasses, and black rain boots.
Later frames show the quieter moments. Bronze and Golden hold hands on a hay bale in front of a wall of autumn leaves, with the name of the farm, "Johnson Farms," behind them. In other photos, Sterling grins while cradling a spotted rabbit, and at lunch, she hides behind a flatbread mask with eyeholes.
