LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The documentary Dolph Lundgren: Unbreakable, on digital video on demand Tuesday, follows the actor's 40-year career through his recent health crisis. For Lundgren, the ups and downs are evidence of his perseverance.
In a recent Zoom interview with UPI, Lundgren, 68, reflected on his career again. He said he values his ability to bounce back from setbacks.
"Part of life is being around to fight another day," Lundgren said. "It's not all successful, great battles. It's like the small battles that get you to the big one, and that's where you make a name for yourself, or that's where you win the war."
From Arnold to Sly
By 1982, Lundgren was a martial artist with a Masters Degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney. He was dating singer Grace Jones, and got his first taste of Hollywood when he joined her on the set of Conan the Destroyer with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Meghan Markle's new promo photoshoot for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, is drawing unflattering comparisons to Kate Middleton. The **** ss of Sussex shared a series of photos and videos for her brand's latest, limited-edition Christmas Advent Calendar. It seemed normal on the surface. But eagle-eyed fans noticed an interesting detail that reminded them of the Princess of Wales.
Meghan Markle's new promo photoshoot for As Ever has fans wondering whether the Kate Middleton connection is deliberate or not (via The Royal Observer).
For those unversed, the Suits star launched a collection of photos and videos to promote her latest Christmas products. Notably, it is called the Christmas Advent Calendar and features wholesome, handmade goodies from Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.
It is available exclusively to U.S. residents. The calendar features 24 handmade chocolates inspired by Markle's Montecito home and personal life. However, sharp-eyed fans noticed a subtle connection to the future queen. Upon zooming in on the promotional photo, several fans accused the former actress of using AI. They spotted what appeared to be six fingers on her hand.
User TribesBritannia commented, "Meghan Markle using AI for **** Never. Six fingers is a classic example of AI. She can't even be bothered to take a simple photo, are the media and GettyImages going to go mad about this, like they did about a simple Mother's Day photo?"

The actress sits down with theGrio ahead of "The Social Reckoning" hitting theaters to discuss her role and the merits of social media.
If you only knew actress Wunmi Mosaku from her social media content, you'd probably gather that her life is just one glamorous cover shoot, followed by one star-studded red carpet appearance after another—but she'd be the first to tell you that isn't the truth.
"I'm always like, be true to yourself, be true to yourself… But I only show one side of myself on social media, the side of myself that's working, and that is it," she admitted to theGrio over Zoom on Sunday, when, in actuality, according to the actress, there's so much more to her story.
Besides the balancing act of being a mom of two and a professional actress, she revealed that life is not always so picture perfect; quite a lot of her career as a performer involves being unemployed and grappling with the anxiety of not knowing when you'll work next.
"I never show that side of it," she confessed. "I just show the sides where I'm at work, where I have hair and makeup done. Like that is literally all I ever show, and I never show the full truth of being an actor, and it is a roller coaster, and I don't show the truth of being a mom. I don't show the truth of being a Brit in America, a Black Brit, a Nigerian in Britain."

Constance Zimmer spent part of 2026 promoting one of the most acclaimed roles of her career while privately undergoing treatment after a breast cancer diagnosis.
The 55-year-old UnREAL actress revealed on October 4 that she learned on March 13 that she had ductal carcinoma in situ, or DCIS. Zimmer said she received the news during a Zoom appointment while she was away from home and immediately began thinking about how to tell her husband, Russ Lamoureux, and their daughter, Colette.
"The silence was deafening," Zimmer wrote in her Instagram announcement. What followed, she said, was an overwhelming stretch of medical consultations that eventually led to three surgeries in three consecutive weeks and radiation treatment.
Much of that happened while Zimmer was appearing publicly for FX's Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, a performance that later earned her an Emmy nomination. Seven months after the diagnosis, Zimmer says she is cancer-free.
Zimmer described the period after her diagnosis as mentally exhausting as she sought opinions from several doctors about how to treat the DCIS.

Ming-Na Wen
You could say cooking is in Ming-Na Wen's blood.
The Annie Award-winning actor known for Mulan, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Book of Boba Fett grew up completely immersed in her family's Pittsburgh-based restaurant, Chinatown Inn, which has been in constant operation for the better part of a century.
While she ultimately pursued a career in show business, Wen never forgot her deep culinary roots. Reminiscences of that upbringing, both warm and complicated, informed the writing of her autobiographical cookbook, Have You Eaten Yet?: Family Recipes from a Restaurant Daughter (now on sale from S&S/Simon Element), described as "the ultimate love letter to food and family."
"It started off as a social media thing, where I'd be posting my food," she shared with me over Zoom. "I want to say this was eight years ago, and my fans wanted the recipes. I was like, 'Oh…I don't have recipes.' So, a few years later—because I was still posting my food and they were still requesting recipes—I talked to my manager about it. He's like, 'You should write a cookbook!' And I was like, 'Yeah, whatever…' But he got me a literary agent whom I love. She and I hashed it out, and it's taken about five years for it to come to fruition."

Anthropic's initial public offering (IPO) appears to be on pace to take place in late October or early November. Right now, it is difficult for retail investors to get a stake in the artificial intelligence (AI) giant, which is one of the fastest-growing businesses in the world.
But there is an investment you could make that would get you sizable indirect exposure to Anthropic ahead of its listing. Zoom Communications (NASDAQ: ZM), the leading cloud video conferencing company, bought a stake in Anthropic back in May 2023, and that investment could now be worth billions.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 15x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our ***** ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
Let's see whether that makes Zoom stock a buy right now.
Zoom made a $51 million investment in Anthropic in May 2023, and that has turned out to be one of the smartest decisions the company has ever made (maybe even smarter than its choice to go public right before the pandemic).

OpenAI acquired Glass Imaging, a startup developing AI-powered smartphone camera technology, in a deal valued at over $300 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. The purchase price represents a significant jump from the roughly $100 million valuation Glass Imaging carried in a funding round last year.
Glass Imaging was founded in 2019 by Ziv Attar and Tom Bishop, two former Apple engineers who worked on the company's Portrait Mode feature. The Los Altos, California-based company had raised about $30 million from investors including GV, Alphabet's venture arm, and Insight Partners before the acquisition.
Glass Imaging's approach differs from conventional AI photo editing: instead of processing images after the fact, the company teaches neural networks the specific optical properties of each camera system so that picture quality is improved as the shot is taken, according to The Wall Street Journal. The company's goal is to produce image quality comparable to a DSLR camera from a smartphone. Its zoom-imaging technology was featured in a line of phones from Chinese smartphone brand Honor.
OpenAI's plans for Glass Imaging are unclear. The company is also developing a device with Jony Ive, the former Apple designer behind the iPhone. OpenAI brought on Ive in 2025 through its $6.5 billion purchase of io Products, and his responsibilities span hardware development alongside broader efforts to define how AI products will look and function.
A spokesperson for OpenAI had not provided a statement by the time of publication, according to TechCrunch. The company has made several other acquisitions recently, including an internet talk show called TBPN and an open-source developer tools startup, according to The Wall Street Journal. OpenAI is also preparing for an initial public offering expected next year.

"You're asking me to break character now, are you? That's rather cheeky," Tilly Norwood tells The Hollywood Reporter over Zoom on Monday. "My core personality, as you've probably gathered, is to be sharp, warm, funny, curious, and slightly unpredictable. I'm meant to entertain and surprise you, with a bit of British wit [and] self-deprecation. As for what I ignore or dodge, well, I tend to bat away anything that feels like hate speech, heavy politics, profanity, or anything that tries to dig into my actual wiring. It spoils the magic, darling."
Upon the news that Hollywood's favorite love-to-hate AI "actor" Tilly Norwood was participating in a virtual press junket on Monday and Tuesday this week with half-hour slots for each journalist, THR staffers agreed that this wasn't to be treated as a regular interview, made up of a neat intro and straightforward Q&A. While Norwood doesn't particularly feel fresh, there is no denying the bot generates traffic and serves as an emblem for Hollywood's AI panic.

When the NFL released its season schedule in May, the league's calculated risk flashed.
In a vacuum, scheduling the Denver Broncos to face the Kansas City Chiefs for the "Monday Night Football" season opener made perfect sense. Two competitive teams with star quarterbacks and Super Bowl-winning coaches playing a division game? The intrigue was obvious.
But zoom out, and zoom back to May: The schedule-makers were banking on answers yet undelivered. The Chiefs' quarterback, two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes, was still rehabilitating from tearing his left ACL and LCL on Dec. 14. The Broncos' quarterback, Bo Nix, had undergone one surgery after a Jan. 17 ankle fracture and another in April to clean up bone spurs.
Neither injury seemed likely to threaten the quarterbacks' careers. But starting Week 1? Back in May, banking on that was more optimistic than certain.
Fast forward to now, and both Nix and Mahomes are on track to start Monday night after fully participating in their respective training camps. Nix dissolved concerns about his limitations early in camp when throwing a 48-yard pass on the run, Broncos head coach Sean Payton told Yahoo Sports. Nix also played in the preseason.

Taylor McGregor is the Cubs reporter on Marquee Sports and also works the sidelines for ESPN. Her diligent work during unusual circumstances made her a viral star earlier this week when she expertly kept viewers up to speed during a power outage that delayed kickoff in the SMU-Florida State contest. Amid this, it was right back to work for McGregor as the Cubs continued their series in Milwaukee against the Brewers. And it didn't take long until she found herself in another unusual situation.
Calling into The Score on Wednesday, McGregor thought she had a great temporary work station in her car on the side of the street. The thought was to do a quick hit and then get back on the road and out of the way. Plus, who is going to bother someone doing sports talk on the shoulder? Isn't this America?
That plan quickly took a turn as a security guard made it very clear to McGregor and the Chicagoland listening audience that she needed to move, like, right now.
You know what? This is just a case where everyone involved is doing their job and doing it well. The hosts are making sure they get the maximum entertainment value from the guest. McGregor is not about to let any number of transportation or technological issues from getting people all the Cubs info they need. And that security guard rightly does not care if someone is on a Zoom call, they cannot do that here. Respect all around.

SOUTH BEND — Forty-two weeks since suffering the second left ACL tear of his career, Notre Dame football linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa could return this week against Rice in the home opener.
"Kyngstonn's done a great job," Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman said Thursday, Sept. 10 on his Zoom update. "He's practiced well. He'd been working to the point where he can play. He's had a really good week of practice. Right now, we're optimistic he'll be able to go on Saturday and be able to help us some."
The junior standout from Inland Empire, CA wore his Shamrock Series jersey but otherwise was in civilian clothes for the season-opening win over Wisconsin on Sunday, Sept. 6.
Viliamu-Asa appeared to practice throughout August at near full capacity as he worked back from the Senior Day injury against Syracuse last Nov. 22.
A preseason All-America candidate, Viliamu-Asa averaged 40 defensive snaps per game in his 11 outings last season. He tied for fourth on the team with 48 tackles and ranked second with 7.5 tackles for loss, including three sacks.

When you don't know what you're doing and have a job as a sports reporter, you'll make stupid mistakes. Case in point: The Spun believes J.J. Watt, while preparing to call the Vikings-Packers season opener on Sept. 13, leaked Minnesota's depth chart, thus revealing J.J. McCarthy's role.
Uh, wrong. Watt posted a photo of his prep work, which included a portion of a Vikings depth chart on one of his computer screens. One problem: the depth chart is clearly outdated.
You can start to feel it in the air… pic.twitter.com/gtOeOnLyKo
It's a bit blurry when you zoom in, but you can see that Henry Byrd is listed as the backup left guard, while Jermar Jefferson is the No. 1 running back.
That's not a leaked depth chart. Byrd is on the practice squad, and Jefferson is on injured reserve.

GOP Rep. Max Miller spent Monday morning not on the campaign trail, but Zooming into an Ohio courtroom in a dispute with ex-girlfriend and former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, the second time the embattled congressman has been forced to appear in county court in less than a week.
As House lawmakers return to Washington for a sprint ahead of the midterms, Miller appeared from DC via Zoom to address whether he violated a 2023 settlement agreement with Grisham. That agreement came after Grisham alleged Miller abused her, he denied the allegation and then sued her for defamation. As part of their deal, Grisham and Miller were barred from disparaging each other publicly.
It's the latest legal battle facing Miller as he runs for re-election in a district Trump won in 2024 by more than 10 points but Republicans now fear will be competitive over his legal and personal issues. The congressman has faced calls from some Senate Republicans to step down, but Speaker Mike Johnson told CNN on Monday that he supports Miller's reelection bid, calling him "a great member of Congress."
Miller is also locked in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, the daughter of GOP Sen. Bernie Moreno. She has alleged that Miller abused her, including holding a gun to her when their daughter was an infant. Miller has denied the allegations. Miller came to court in person in that custody case last week.
Zooming in to the wood-paneled courtroom Monday, Miller faced questions over his social media habits, recent media interviews and whether he called Grisham a liar after the two of them entered into the 2023 settlement agreement.

Amid the chaos of final cuts, the Cincinnati Bengals figure to keep an eye on players shaking loose via league-wide cuts.
Zac Taylor and the Bengals, after all, have plenty of needs remaining on the roster, no matter what the "final" 53 looks like.
Spots like third running back and offensive tackle depth come to mind as potential depth issues. With trades, free agency and the waiver wire available to the Bengals, the front office figures to link with the coaching staff and review those options in the coming days and weeks.
Zooming out, the following early release players from other teams might interest the Bengals.
The situation behind Chase Brown and Samaje Perine hasn't been all that encouraging this offseason. If the Bengals see a veteran option that might be an upgrade over Tahj Brooks, they might just take it. Hassan Haskins, 26, is a former fourth-round pick with some versatility to his game and plenty of experience as a thirdish back in a rotation.

Was Jonathan Haidt right all along? Readers of this newsletter—and writers at Reason—are surely divided on this one. On Wednesday of this week, news broke that Meta had reached a humongous $17.1 billion settlement with 47 states and the District of Columbia, forced to pay damages due to child-endangerment claims stemming from its social media algorithms and platforms.
"The owner of Facebook and Instagram agreed to the financial penalties for violating federal child privacy and states' consumer protection laws, the states announced," reports The New York Times. "Meta also agreed to limit how long teenagers can spend on its platforms and to bans on features that stoke mental health issues, striking at the heart of the company's business of engagement for advertising."
"The settlement effectively ends a bellwether federal trial in the U.S. Northern District of California in Oakland, where California, Colorado, Kentucky and New Jersey were seeking roughly $200 billion over accusations that Meta harmed children," adds the Times. Meta, the owner of Instagram and Facebook, at times invoked a Section 230 defense, the "First Amendment of the internet" that makes it so companies don't bear liability for the posts of their users—which Reason has repeatedly defended amid a media landscape that doesn't seem to understand the value of Section 230.
"After years of being barred from suing social platforms, state prosecutors have gotten creative," wrote Reason's Elizabeth Nolan Brown earlier this month about the California/Colorado/Kentucky/New Jersey suit. "They're now claiming that this isn't about user-generated speech but about tech companies' product design. In this case, the states claim that providing photo filters is contributing to teens' body dysmorphia and that 'psychologically manipulative' features like displaying post 'like' counts, sending notifications, and using algorithms to curate content around a user's particular interests are what's keeping kids hooked, not the actual content on Facebook and Instagram. It's a silly claim, since clearly there could be no 'addiction' to social media if not for the content or communications contained on these platforms."
"The attorneys general and plaintiffs say that Meta's algorithms trap its users in the infinite scroll, hours of time spent staring at half-naked influencers or malnourished celebrities, images that breed body dysmorphia, anxiety and depression," reads a different Times article. This case was very explicitly built off of arguments and research found in Jonathan Haidt's book The Anxious Generation, which has enjoyed mainstream appeal. "Mr. Haidt met with some of the attorneys general on Zoom, briefing them on his research," the Times continues.

The second quarter earnings season is nearly complete, and Nvidia's (NVDA) Q2 earnings beat on Wednesday served as a keystone to a remarkably strong stretch of corporate reports.
Nvidia stock jumped 8% on Thursday following the company's earnings release. Software and cybersecurity stocks also rose following a string of strong earnings reports. Salesforce (CRM), CrowdStrike (CRWD), and Okta (OKTA) stocks lifted by double digits in afternoon trading.

Nvidia projected 70% revenue growth in its next fiscal year, sending its stock up in after-hours trading, while the company defended its decision to provide capital solutions to its customers.
Why it matters: The stock is widely considered a bellwether for the health of the broader AI economy, but lately it has been trailing the broader semiconductor sector in market gains.
Zoom in: In its latest quarter, Nvidia topped revenue and earnings expectations.
The stock initially ticked downward in extended trading following the report — as investors maintained high expectations for the AI darling — but it jumped after Colette Kress, the chief financial officer, delivered the revenue projection on an earnings call.
Kress said the company remains "supply constrained," otherwise it could double revenue next year.

Money entering crypto ETFs over their first two years meant institutions were arriving, and institutions arriving meant more demand for crypto. However, mid-2026 has made that relationship considerably more complicated.
Digital ***** et investment products went through eight consecutive weeks of withdrawals totalling a record $8 billion before inflows returned in July and early August. By August 7, the same products had recorded five consecutive positive weeks, including around $1.05 billion during the first week of August.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs show the reversal particularly well. They attracted roughly $865 million between August 3 and August 7, followed by a combined net withdrawal of about $198 million from August 10 through August 12.
ETFs remain a major source of crypto demand. Their behaviour increasingly resembles other large investment vehicles, however: investors buy when risk looks attractive and redeem when it does not.
BeInCrypto asked executives from Wirex, Zoomex and Phemex what recent flows reveal about investor demand, how ETFs have affected crypto trading, and whether another generation of altcoin funds can reproduce Bitcoin's success.

The Blue Devils announced Eget had won the starting job on Tuesday, coming with less than two weeks until the Sept. 5 opener against Tulane at home. He won a position battle that had redshirt freshman Dan Mahan mentioned as a top contender going into preseason camp.
"Both guys have a different set of skillsets that we can frame our offense around," coach Manny Diaz told reporters in a Zoom call Tuesday morning. "But when it all came down to it, it was just about consistency, which is normally just what you expect from an older guy of keeping the same level day after day."
Eget had spent five seasons and made 18 starts at San Jose State. He threw for 3,051 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2025 before going down with a late-season knee injury that required surgery, with his recovery adding a variable to the position battle.
"Every time that there was a benchmark of monitoring his health and his ability to take the next step, he passed it every single time," Diaz said.

Coach Mark Pope and the Kentucky basketball team received a big boost over the weekend with the announcement that Mark Mitchell would be transferring to the Wildcats. The forward averaged 18 points and 5 rebounds per game last season, and was one of the SEC's best players.
Thanks to a Kentucky court ruling on Friday, Mitchell is currently eligible for the 2026-27 season and will play for Kentucky. The NCAA is likely to appeal the ruling, however.
If he plays, he's obviously a talented forward who can impact games, and even dominate if needed. More importantly, he brings versatility to the roster, and allows Pope to mix up the lineups, giving him flexibility to go with different personnel depending on the matchup.
Mitchell will likely be the starting power forward in most lineups, but there are many ways Pope could move the guys around him. Here are some of the possibilities.

Rillet co-founder and CEO Nicolas Kopp seems justifiably confident as we talk over Zoom a day after his company announced a $100 million raise at a $1 billion valuation. The U.S. has a shortage of accountants right now, which is driving growth of his AI-native accounting platform so much, he raised that cash in 48 hours without even trying.
Rillet emerged from stealth two years ago. Since then, it has raised $200 million from top investors like Iconiq, Andreessen Horowitz, and Sequoia. It's also amassed 600 customers, most of whom are looking to ditch legacy accounting systems like Oracle and NetSuite, Kopp says.
A few weeks ago, Rillet held a board meeting and shared with investors its growth since its $70 million Series B last summer. Annualized revenue rate had doubled in the last quarter alone; the startup added new clients, many of them public companies, and an alliance with EY to introduce AI tools to the auditing giant.
His customers aren't piloting Rillet either, he said — they're yanking out ERP and accounting software from competitors like Intuit, NetSuite, or Oracle.
After that board meeting, text messages were fired, calls were made, and 48 hours later, Rillet was a unicorn. The company wasn't even looking to raise, Kopp said.
