Texas A&M's 2026 wide receiver rotation will be led by junior Mario Craver, who, after transferring from Mississippi State before the 2025 season, reeled in a career-high 59 receptions for 917 yards and 4 touchdowns and is widely considered one of the most dangerous players after the catch, averaging nearly 9 yards after contact.

We've been talking about Johnny Dawkins's clutch plays for a couple of days now, and we thought that it was time to get closer to the present and take a look at one of the great clutch plays in recent history: Isaiah Evans's game winner last year against Florida, then the defending national champions. Duke was trailing 66-64 with time running out.
As you'll see or possibly remember, Evans screened for Cameron Boozer, who was obviously the first option. But the Gators naturally double-teamed him, so Evans swung over to the left, behind the three-point line, and was wide open.
As the defenders followed the ball, he could have tossed it back to Boozer, who might have gotten a shot in the lane to tie it, but Evans, with the confidence of a deadeye shooter, stepped up and nailed the three, which gave Duke a one-point lead.
Good defense wrapped the game up, but Showtime Slim gets full credit for a masterful clutch shot.

Streamer HMBL Zay has finished a nearly 3,000-mile walk from Philadelphia to California.
The 27-year-old streamer, whose real name is Isaiah Thomas, completed his 124-day cross-country journey on Monday (July 27).

For the first time in a couple of summers, the Oklahoma City Thunder had to recast their complementary pieces. You can't keep the same roster forever. Especially in the NBA. This group experienced that for the first time this offseason as they said goodbye to Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins.
Getting underneath the dreadful second apron, the Thunder had to make three cost-cutting moves. Out go Dort, Joe and Wiggins. In come seven future second-round picks. Three of OKC's best recent developmental stories head out East. Dort and Wiggins went to the Atlanta Hawks and Joe to the Detroit Pistons.
Even with weighted hearts, don't think anybody was surprised to see the Thunder shake up their role players. When you read out their future team payrolls, think this summer was circled as one where changes were inevitable. And considering how the NBA playoffs ended, it was obvious that all three would likely get moved out as they were phased out of the rotation.
Chet Holmgren was the latest to give his reaction to OKC's cost-cutting summer. The All-NBA talent talked at a USA Basketball Foundation charity event in Southern California. He had a breakout season last year, but his no-show outing in the 2026 Western Conference Finals soured things for a lot of folks.

The Oklahoma Sooners made some key transfer portal additions this past winter, with many of them coming on offense. Once it was confirmed that quarterback John Mateer was going to be back in the saddle to run the show in Norman, the focus for OU turned to surrounding him with talent offensively.
One of those crucial portal additions was former Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone, who was a breakout player in Austin last year. Now, he crosses the Red RIver to the other side of the iconic rivalry, where he'll hope to help jump-start the Sooner offense.
According to ESPN's list of each top 25 team's x-factor for this upcoming season, Livingstone is the player for the Sooners that can heavily impact where Oklahoma ends up. The redshirt-sophomore should be slated into one of the outside receiver spots, likely the X-WR role that was held down by the combination of Keontez Lewis and Javonnie Gibson last season, and OU needs him to be an improvement piece there this fall.

The Raiders haven't gotten a lot of immediate contributions from their rookies classes that past couple years. That must change this year as they look to get off to a fast start in their rebuild. In the spirit of that, let's look at what we've seen from their rookie class through the first three days of training camp.
Day one of camp, Mendoza took the field as the newly minted backup to Kirk Cousins. This after Mendoza had been the number three QB throughout offseason workouts. He looks smooth playing under center and throws a very good ball. Each day he seems to be asked to make tougher throws and he has kept pace well. As of yet, he has not thrown an interception. Mendoza has said he has a long way to go to fully absorbing the playbook and having full command of the offense, but is feeling fairly comfortable already.
He was drafted to challenge for either a safety job or nickel cornerback spot. Perhaps a hybrid role like Jeremy Chinn played last season. As of yet, the first team safeties have consistently been Chinn and fellow incumbent starter Isaiah Pola-Mao with veteran addition Taron Johnson nailing down the nickel corner job. But lots of camp still to see if Stukes can earn more reps, perhaps with the first team.
He has been pretty routinely running with the third team and until pads go on, he won't have a shot to change that.
He was a college tackle who was projected as a center and drafted as a guard. The Raiders have been testing his versatility, playing him as the second team center behind Tyler Linderbaum and third team right guard behind Jackson Powers-Johnson and Caleb Rogers. Zuhn has had his struggles with giving up pressure inside and Friday he launched a snap way over Fernando Mendoza's head. Yeah, he's still working out the kinks.

Over the last several months, as Los Angeles Lakers star guard Austin Reaves neared his opportunity to opt out of his contract and cash in on a lucrative new one, many expected him to stay put. He eventually did by agreeing to a four-year, $185 million deal, but the process didn't come without anxiety.
He admitted that there was a point in the negotiations when he doubted he would end up staying with the Lakers. Indeed, the Detroit Pistons were one team that was "coming aggressively" for Reaves in free agency, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. Detroit finished first in the Eastern Conference last season but needed a little more star power and another legitimate scoring threat in its halfcourt game.
Vincent Goodwill of ESPN reported on "NBA Today" that Pistons superstar Cade Cunningham tried to recruit Reaves to the Motor City.
"Banking on internal improvement has been the thought going back from last summer when they didn't make a big move going into the season," Goodwill said. "They want to see how Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson and Ron Holland would play together and it led to 60 wins. Now you're thinking Detroit was going to go make a big move this past offseason. Cade Cunningham was very involved in the potential recruitment of Austin Reaves. Austin Reaves re-signed with the Lakers. Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving -- those were all names the Pistons were interested in. No moves materialized and now they're going to bank on the restricted free agent of Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson's extension."
The Pistons have made some incremental moves this summer, including bringing in veteran forwards John Collins, Tobias Harris and Taurean Prince and guard Isaiah Joe. But they have largely been left behind in the arms race that has taken place throughout the Eastern Conference over the past several weeks.

Less-than-truckload carrier Saia's shares were off 12% in midday trading on Thursday following a better-than-expected second-quarter report that was muted by management's softer third-quarter margin outlook. The company has made real estate investments totaling over $1 billion in recent years, and its new locations are still working to close the profitability gap to the rest of the network.
Saia (NASDAQ: SAIA) reeled in its full-year margin outlook on a Thursday call with ***** ysts. It now expects to hit the lower end of a guidance range calling for 100 to 200 basis points of year-over-year improvement.
"Our strong second quarter results highlight the continued enhancement of our expanded service offering, disciplined execution and the commitment of our team members," said Saia CEO Fritz Holzgrefe. "We achieved record revenue and tonnage, along with a second-quarter record in shipments, reflecting solid growth across our network."
The Johns Creek, Georgia-based company reported second-quarter earnings per share of $3.51 on Thursday before the market opened. The result was 84 cents higher y/y and 12 cents better than the consensus estimate. A lower tax rate compared to the prior-year quarter was a 2-cent tailwind. A $3 million decline in net interest expense was an 8-cent tailwind.
Revenue was 17% higher y/y at 957 million, largely in line with consensus. Both tonnage and yield increased by 8% y/y. (Yield was down 2% excluding fuel surcharges.)

There were fans on hand for training camp practice for the first time. And they were treated to the direct sun side of the field. The players, on the other hand, see the direct sun every day, and the 95 degree morning heat that comes with it. That didn't stop them from putting some good looking product on the field, though.
Here are a few standouts from today.
He was absolutely dealing. Perfect passes perfectly placed all day, leading to some great catches that seemed near impossible for defenders to get to. This included dime ***** in the back left corner of the end zone to Brock Bowers and the back right corner to Tre Tucker. Then a tight fit ball to Jack Bech in the back of the end zone.
Two days in a row now Brock has been among the standouts. His first great catch came on a deep crossing route from right to left, leaving Isaiah Pola-Mao with no chance at it. Later Brock gave rookie Zeke Masses a welcome to the NFL moment, beating him on a corner route for a touchdown.

Under former head coach Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M's wide receiver rotations struggled to find any consistency, no matter who was throwing the ball, and even after landing five-star Evan Stewart and four-star Noah Thomas in the historic 2022 recruiting class, injuries, a lack of development, and poor usage derailed both players' careers in College Station.
Stewart, who transferred to Oregon after the 2023 season, is currently a redshirt senior with the Ducks, while Noah Thomas transferred to Georgia after three seasons with the Aggies, appearing in 35 games and recording 73 receptions for 934 yards and 15 touchdowns, serving as A&M's starting X receiver during his final season, which was by far his most productive.

Jaxson Dart will be hoping to prove his worth this season following a frustrating 2025, which ended in a dismal 4-13 record for the New York Giants.
A lot has changed over this offseason, with veteran head coach John Harbaugh being brought in to try to steer the Giants back to success.
However, a lot will rest on whether Dart can take his game to another level with players like Isaiah Likely added to the roster to provide him with another outlet on offence.
The Giants will also see running back Cam Skattebo return to the field following his season-ending injury last year.

The Washington Huskies' defensive line underwent a massive facelift ahead of the 2026 season after losing ten players from the unit to graduation, the NFL draft, and the transfer portal.
However, Jedd Fisch still expressed considerable confidence in his defensive front, even as defensive coordinator Ryan Walters attempts to replicate the nation's No. 12 run defense from the 2025 campaign, when the Huskies allowed 100.08 yards per game.
"Night and day in a lot of ways," Fisch told Huskies Wire of Washington's defensive tackles during Big Ten Media Days on Thursday. "When you look at Elinneus (Davis), Derek Colman-Brusa, (Darin) Conley, (Desean) Watts, TI (Umu-Cais), Kai (McClendon), that's six guys that are interior D-linemen that have shown an ability to play at a very high level."
At outside linebacker, after injuries have ravaged the unit over Fisch's first two years at the helm, the depth also looks considerably different. The Huskies are looking to improve on a group that recorded just 24 sacks in 2025, which ranked No. 12 in the Big Ten, and have an experienced unit leading the way.
"(Russell) Davis is back, Isaiah Ward is back. Then you look at Jacob Lane on the other side, then Logan George; they've shown the defensive line in its totality is a different type of group than we've had in the five years that I've been a head coach. I think the ability for us to go in and out with players and keep them fresh in a long season, as well as the difference makers that I think we have there, is exciting."

The Chargers made a roster move ahead of the start of their training camp.
The NFL's transaction report for Friday shows that they placed offensive tackle Isaiah World on the non-football injury list.
World signed with the Chargers after going undrafted out of Oregon. He tore his ACL during the team's college football playoff loss to Indiana, so it may be some time before he's ready to get back on the field.
World played three seasons at Nevada before transferring to Oregon. He started 14 games at left tackle during his only season with the Ducks.
Chargers rookies reported to training camp this week. They will have their full squad in camp on July 28 with their first practice set for the next day.

As their latest free agency addition, the Houston Rockets announced the signing of 22-year-old forward Julian Phillips. At 6-foot-8 and 201 pounds, Phillips is well regarded for his elite athleticism and 7-foot-1 wing span.
Following one collegiate season at Tennessee, Phillips was the No. 35 overall pick by Boston in the 2023 NBA draft. From there, he spent his first two-and-a-half seasons with Chicago before being acquired by Minnesota via a February trade.

The 2026 SEC media days have come and gone this week in Tampa, Florida, and that means we're one step closer to the college football regular season.
As per usual, the SEC released the Preseason Media Poll All-SEC team on Friday, which was voted on by the media that was on hand covering this week's event. After the Oklahoma Sooners had just three players make the all-league predictions a year ago, OU was much more well-represented in 2026.
On the first team, both kicker Tate Sandell and long snapper Ben Anderson represented the Sooners. Sandell returned after winning the Lou Groza Award last season, while Anderson has established himself as one of the league's best long snappers over the course of his career.
OU had eight players selected to the second team. Wide receiver Isaiah Sategna III, offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, defensive linemen David Stone and Taylor Wein, linebacker Kip Lewis, defensive backs Eli Bowen and Peyton Bowen, and kicker/punter Grayson Miller all got the nod.

When the season is on, his job as a safety is to stymie any opposing success in his secondary, and when given the chance, to hit people hard enough to separate the ball from their body. It's football and he's good at it, but it's a far cry from what Raider Damuni did this summer to prepare for his last blast at BYU.
"We just got back," the senior told the "Y's Guys" livestream show this week about a trip to Tonga with a few of his teammates and head coach Kalani Sitake. While there, in addition to staging a football camp and a fireside, they advanced the mission of BYU-Pathway Worldwide throughout the island nation.
"When we play, we represent not just the people in Provo and Utah, but we represent the church and our faith and our faith is worldwide," Damuni said. "So being able to have that impact on people with the platform that we have as football players at BYU, that is why we want to go out and reach out to people, not just in the United States, but worldwide."

"We just got back," the senior told the "Y's Guys" livestream show this week about a trip to Tonga with a few of his teammates and head coach Kalani Sitake. While there, in addition to staging a football camp and a fireside, they advanced the mission of BYU-Pathway Worldwide throughout the island nation.
"When we play, we represent not just the people in Provo and Utah, but we represent the church and our faith and our faith is worldwide," Damuni said. "So being able to have that impact on people with the platform that we have as football players at BYU, that is why we want to go out and reach out to people, not just in the United States, but worldwide."

After a strong showing at the NBA’s 2026 summer league in Las Vegas, the Houston Rockets announced Wednesday that Isaiah Crawford was re-signed by the team.
A 6-foot-6 forward with shooting potential on offense and considerable versatility on defense, Crawford is now 24 years old.

Crawford appeared in 14 games as a two-way player for the Rockets in 2025-26, averaging 11.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 ******* ists and 1.2 blocks per 36 minutes played. He recorded career highs of 11 points and 6 rebounds in the season finale versus Memphis on April 12.
In 20 games while transferred to the Rockets’ G League affiliate, Rio Grande Valley, Crawford averaged 19.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.1 ******* ists, and 2.1 steals while shooting 51.5% from the floor and 39.2% from 3-point range.

Grizzlies point guard D’Angelo Russell is not believed to be a long-term piece in Memphis, with both sides expected to work together toward a resolution that would allow the 30-year-old to find a new home at some point this offseason — whether via a buyout agreement or a trade — sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Russell, who appeared in just 25 games last season in Dallas, arrived in Memphis earlier this month as part of an expansive six-team deal involving Milwaukee, Washington, Dallas, the LA Clippers and Detroit. The trade also sent center Isaiah Stewart, guard AJ Johnson, three future second-round picks, a conditional first-round pick and a second-round swap to the Grizzlies.

Jul. 22—MENNO, S.D. — After trailing 5-0 in the first inning, Parkston Post 194 rallied back to a 7-5 victory over Tabor Post 183 to send them into the American Legion Region 4B ****** le series on Wednesday.
With the win, Parkston (20-9) remains unbeaten in the Region 4B tournament and awaits its 2 p.m. matchup for Thursday's championship series where they will have two games to win one to send them into the Class B Legion state tournament July 31 through Aug. 4 in Madison.
Tabor packed the first punch with a 5-run first inning, but Parkston tallied two runs in the third, one in the fourth and four more in the fifth to score seven unanswered runs, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Carson Bueber to take the two-run lead in the bottom of the fifth.
Parkston was led by the bat of Jaxx Kurtenbach, who went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Kash Neugebauer and Bueber each had one hit and two RBIs. Grady Bowar earned the pitching victory after allowing two hits and zero runs with one strikeout in 2 2/3 innings of work in relief for Brycen Bruening, who allowed five runs and six hits with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings pitched.

Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams is "completely innocent" of the gun charges he is facing in Canada, his attorney told The Arizona Republic, and Adams will report to Cardinals training camp on time on Wednesday, July 22, in Tempe.
Adams, who turned 26 on Tuesday, July 21, turned himself into the Durham Regional Police on Sunday, July 19, near Toronto, and is facing charges for possessing a weapon by crime, possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a license, possessing a loaded firearm and possessing a prohibited device.
"Isaiah is completely innocent in this matter – he had no knowledge of any firearm, and he will be fully exonerated," attorney Adam Weisberg told The Republic.
Adams' sister, Allyson Mae Adams, 27, faces the same charges.
The siblings were among four people arrested as part of an investigation by the Durham Regional Police department's Guns and Gangs Unit, according a news release, which outlined the charges. The other two people were arrested on charges of trafficking fentanyl, after police found more than three kilograms of the drug in their vehicle.

Patrick was a very impactful receiver in 2020-21, but has encountered some difficult injuries as of late.
