LAWRENCE — Kansas football lost 38-21 Friday at home against rival Missouri during non-conference play.

Here's how the Jayhawks (1-1) graded out from their defeat against the No. 23 Tigers (2-0):
The scoring drive the offense put together toward the end of the second quarter finally gave that side of the ball some momentum after a largely disappointing start to the game. But the momentum that could have given the Jayhawks didn't carry over into the second half, with turnovers ending their first two third-quarter drives. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Isaiah Marshall struggled with consistency, failing to instill much confidence in his potential this fall in his second start of the season as he went on to finish the game with three turnovers.
