Every major AI chip story seems to lead back to Arm Holdings (ARM) as the industry's biggest players rely on the company's architecture to build their processors. As ARM gears up for its fiscal Q1 earnings on July 29, investors are eager to see if the company can continue to translate strong demand into sustained growth needed to justify its premium valuation.
Valued at $277.7 billion, Arm Holdings develops the processor technology that powers billions of chips globally, licenses that technology to semiconductor firms, and gets royalties on each chip shipped. The company earns money through licensing revenue and royalty revenue. While historically, Arm's business was dominated by smartphones, today its processors power PCs and laptops, cloud servers, AI data centers, automotive chips, smart TVs, IoT devices, and much more. Thanks to AI, the company now has new growth opportunities in Cloud AI, Edge AI, and Physical AI.

Realty Income (O) has paid 670 consecutive monthly dividends at a 4.76% yield, and EPR Properties (EPR) yields 5.91% with shares up 29% this year.
All five monthly payers yield above the 4.55% 10-year Treasury, carry covered payouts, and raised their distributions within the past 12 months.
Act now: the ******* yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Realty Income didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
For retirees who prefer their paychecks to arrive every 30 days instead of every 90, a small corner of the market delivers just that. With the 10-year Treasury yielding 4.55% as of mid-July, income investors are demanding a real premium from equity risk. The five monthly dividend payers below all clear that bar, and each combines a well-covered payout with a documented multi-year track record of monthly checks. This is a lineup built for cash flow that shows up like clockwork.
Realty Income wears the ticker "O" and the nickname "The Monthly Dividend Company" for a reason. Realty Income (NYSE:O) currently yields 4.76%, backed by a monthly cadence that has now stretched to 670 consecutive monthly dividends declared and 114 consecutive quarterly increases. The most recent monthly payout ticked up to $0.271, with the next payment set for August 14, 2026.

GE Vernova (NYSE:GEV) and NextEra Energy (NYSE:NEE) reported June-quarter results within 48 hours of each other. GEV sells the turbines, transformers, and grid gear every hyperscaler needs. NextEra owns the megawatts, the interconnects, and a Florida utility that hyperscalers want to plug into. Two ways to buy the same AI power bottleneck.
GE Vernova posted Q2 revenue of $11.10 billion, up 21.8% year over year, with bookings of $24.2 billion and a $176 billion backlog. Electrification revenue jumped 68%, and $2.7 billion of that came from data center orders in the quarter alone. CEO Scott Strazik told investors GEV is "on track to deliver 20 GW of annual gas turbine output in the third quarter of 2026, with 24 GW in 2028" and 30 GW by 2030. Americans hang on to jobs they don't favor for multiple reasons, including salary, geographical convenience and upward mobility. Increasingly, with inflation rising, career professionals are sticking to jobs they don't like primarily for the health care benefits.
Workplace experts call that syndrome 'job lock', and it's growing in the U.S. workplace.
According to a study by the West Health-Gallup Center on Healthcare in America, nearly one in four (24%) of American workers say they're "afraid" of losing their health insurance, and this fear is keeping them in their jobs. That's an 8% rise from 221, the study noted.
Given the skyrocketing costs of health insurance, as employer-sponsored family health insurance premiums have increased by about 26% over the past five years, that fear is justifiable.

Health policy has quietly become a stock-moving variable in 2026, and the figures are significant enough to matter. Approximately 2.6 million Americans discontinued ACA marketplace coverage this year after increased pandemic-era subsidies ended at the end of 2025, with health policy experts predicting that total enrollment would decrease to between 16.5 million and 17.5 million by year-end. Meanwhile, the Urban Institute has projected that 4.8 million more people will be uninsured in 2026 as a direct consequence of the lapsed subsidies, with certain HealthCare.gov-reliant states witnessing enrollment losses of 20% or more.
Whether this translates into fewer elective medical treatments is now a hotly debated topic in the healthcare industry, with Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISRG) emerging as the evident casualty. The company's shares plunged more than 12% before the bell on July 17, despite Intuitive maintaining its global procedure-growth prediction for its da Vinci surgical robots. Instead, the selloff was driven by the company's own admission that changes in insurance coverage could impact demand.
US da Vinci procedure growth slowed to roughly 12% in the second quarter, down from where Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISRG) expected to be at the beginning of the year, with a focus on surgeries that patients may defer. On the July 16 call, CEO David Rosa told ******* ysts that customer conversations indicated that fluctuating patient coverage and premium dynamics affect "when patients seek care," as opposed to if they seek it at all.
That reaction came at an awkward time, as a highly public disagreement was already taking place in the sector. Abbott, a major medical device and diagnostics manufacturer, had argued recently that blaming industry-wide procedure weakness on ACA disenrollment was a "flawed ******* umption." HCA Healthcare, the largest for-profit hospital operator in the United States, took the opposite stance, warning earlier of lower surgical demand and an increase in uninsured patients when pandemic-era subsidies expired.
Intuitive's own results now appear to support the HCA side of the argument, at least in procedures when patients can choose to delay. Stifel's response immediately reflected the tension: the firm reduced its price objective to $550 from $670 on July 17 while keeping a Buy rating on the company's shares, despite Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISRG) exceeding expectations in revenue, earnings, system placements, and procedure growth in the same quarter. Both US procedure and installed-base growth have slowed since the 2020-2021 COVID era, with management blaming the slowdown on ACA disenrollment and the basic law of large numbers as the installed base matures.

TORONTO (AP) — Amazon's Prime Video will exclusively broadcast Wednesday night national NHL regular-season games in Canada in English and French beginning next season as part of a new 12-year licensing agreement with Rogers Communications Inc. announced Tuesday.
The streaming service will also carry select Stanley Cup playoff series, including two first-round series and one second-round matchup annually.
The agreement spans the length of Rogers' $11 billion, 12-year deal with the NHL for national media rights on all platforms in Canada through the 2037-38 season. Terms were not disclosed.
"We're thrilled to expand our partnership with the NHL and Rogers in this landmark agreement, which brings even more premium live sports to Prime members in Canada," said Jay Marine, head of global sports at Prime Video.
Prime Video's lineup will include at least 26 national regular-season games, starting Sept. 30, and will be available to Prime subscribers in Canada at no additional cost; Rogers-owned Sportsnet retains the majority of national NHL games. A Rogers spokesperson said the playoff allocation will follow a draft format: Prime Video will receive the fourth and fifth selections among the eight first-round series and the third choice among the four second-round matchups.

The "get-in" price for the Philadelphia 76ers preseason home debut has surged following the team's signing of LeBron James, according to secondary ticket marketplace TickPick, far exceeding the average cost of a 76ers regular season home game ticket in 2025.
James announced his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Philadelphia 76ers last week.
The "get-in" price for James' preseason home debut against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 16 is $165 on the secondary market, which is 142% more expensive than the overall average purchase price ($68) for 76ers regular season home games in the 2025-26 season, according to TickPick.
Several non-premium tickets have reached as high as $589 for the preseason matchup on TickPick.
The vast majority of other preseason games in October featuring teams other than the 76ers have get-in prices well below the $100 mark, with some matchups offering tickets around the $30 range.

Crude oil prices dropped sharply on Monday as investors unwound geopolitical risk premiums following indications that tensions between the United States and Iran may be easing. The selloff erased much of the rally seen last week, when fears of a wider conflict briefly pushed Brent crude close to the $100-per-barrel level.
By 06:11 GMT, Brent crude futures were down 6% at $90.93 per barrel after briefly falling below $90 earlier in the session. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures declined 6.1% to $83.83 per barrel.
Last week, Brent climbed to around $100 a barrel after the conflict expanded beyond the Strait of Hormuz into the Red Sea, raising concerns over Middle Eastern oil exports.
However, market sentiment shifted after Washington paused its military campaign following 13 consecutive nights of strikes, allowing additional time for diplomatic negotiations after weeks of escalating hostilities.
Iran quickly responded to the move. According to Reuters, an Iranian official said Tehran would halt retaliatory attacks provided the United States maintained its suspension of military operations. Both governments have nevertheless indicated they are prepared to resume military action if negotiations fail.

After years of record-breaking growth, major market indexes are stagnating. The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) is down 0.42% over the past month, as of this writing, while the tech-focused Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) has sunk by nearly 2% in that time.
Some market indicators are also raising red flags over valuations. The S&P 500 Shiller CAPE Ratio, for instance, is the highest it's been since the dot-com bubble, suggesting the index is trading at a premium. The Buffett indicator is also at a record high of 236%. For context, Warren Buffett himself noted that when this indicator nears 200%, investors are "playing with fire."

Every NFL franchise eventually faces the same dilemma. A homegrown star develops into one of the league's best players. That, in turn, births conversations about a lucrative second contract. Few teams know more about difficult salary cap decisions than the Philadelphia Eagles.
Some teams respond by overspending to keep everyone together. Others watch key contributors leave and scramble to replace them. Howie Roseman and his staff have adopted a different approach.
Rather than reacting to expensive departures, Howie Roseman has built a roster with the expectation that they will happen. That's why the Eagles continue drafting premium talent even when there doesn't appear to be an immediate need. More often than not, they're preparing for tomorrow's roster before today's begins to change. It's a philosophy that has helped keep Philadelphia among the NFL's perennial contenders.
To outside observers, some of Philadelphia's draft selections have initially seemed puzzling. Why invest another premium pick on the defensive line when the position already appears loaded? Why draft a defensive back early with established veterans still in place? Why select an offensive lineman who may not start immediately?
The Eagles aren't drafting solely for the upcoming season. They're drafting for the seasons that follow.

Enterprise AI agents were meant to be the breakout software offering for 2026, yet instead they've become one of the major sources of buyer distrust. According to Anaconda and Forrester research, over 88% of AI agent pilots never reach production, as confirmed by independent polls from a16z and MIT Sloan's CIO panel, while Gartner predicts that more than 40% of agentic AI initiatives will be discontinued entirely by 2027 due to questionable ROI.
Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) walked into the gap between agent hype and agent reality when it placed its growth narrative on Agentforce, and by 2026, that bet has made Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) one of the worst-performing components of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, down around 31.48% year to date.
The immediate cause appears to be a credibility problem, not a demand issue. Bernstein downgraded Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) to Sector Weight from Outperform on July 9, removing its price target completely and citing poor customer feedback on Agentforce in particular. According to **** yst Jackson Ader, the released data doesn't yet indicate growing momentum, and a recent CIO survey found Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) to be "a standout for the wrong reasons."
That said, this interpretation is not uniform, and the debate on the market is serious. On July 14, Goldman Sachs reiterated its Buy rating and $242 price target, expecting organic growth to pick up in the third quarter as more details on AI monetization become available at Salesforce's Agentforce event in September. Goldman's more constructive reading is based on management's own acknowledgment of headwinds in Tableau, Commerce, and Marketing, which the firm sees as realistic rather than concerning, arguing that Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) is being open about a 12-to-24-month drag on its organic growth algorithm rather than covering it up.
Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM)'s historical valuation decline looks to be the most mispriced aspect of the market story. Shares are currently trading at a compressed forward earnings multiple of only 10.83x, a substantial drop from the stock's five-year historical average of over 127x. The disparity is even more obvious when compared to prominent peers such as ServiceNow, which trades at a forward P/E of around 20.43x and requires consistent revenue growth above 18% through 2028 to maintain its valuation premium. Salesforce's current valuation of less than 11x forecast earnings is in near-total deadlock, despite the company's strong free cash flow generation and substantial enterprise data integration.

Liverpool are ready to test Paris Saint-Germain's resolve over Bradley Barcola, with Nico Schira reporting that a bid worth more than €100 million is being readied for the France winger. The 22-year-old is understood to be Liverpool's leading target as the club plans for life after Mohamed Salah, although PSG are said to value Barcola closer to €150 million to €170 million.
That gap is significant, yet it does not appear to have deterred Liverpool from moving the situation forward. The key line from the update is clear, "Liverpool are now ready to submit a bid to #PSG over €100M to try to sign Bradley #barcola ," which points to fresh intent rather than background admiration. It also underlines that Barcola has moved to the front of Liverpool's thinking in the wide forward market.
Barcola is widely regarded as one of Europe's most dynamic young attackers. His pace, one v one quality and capacity to stretch defences make him a natural fit for Premier League football, and Liverpool's recruitment team will know they are dealing with a player whose ceiling remains extremely high. If Salah's long-term succession plan is being accelerated, this is the sort of profile Liverpool would be expected to pursue.
PSG's stance is equally important here. The suggestion that Paris would demand €150 million to €170 million indicates they are in no rush to sell and would only engage seriously on elite terms. That leaves Liverpool with a familiar decision, pay a premium for a priority target or ***** s whether the market offers stronger value elsewhere.
From Liverpool's side, an opening bid above €100 million would carry weight and demonstrate conviction. It would also set the tone for talks, even if it falls well short of PSG's reported expectations. Clubs often begin with a number that reflects both intent and room to negotiate, especially in a deal of this size.

There has long been an elephant in the Federal Open Market Committee's room as it tries to accomplish its mission of promoting maximum employment and stable prices. It's just much, much bigger now, and it's hard to ignore a $2 trillion elephant.
That's roughly how much the US government is issuing in new Treasury bills and bonds each year as the country's budget deficit swells. Its massive spending problem isn't new: The US has run a deficit for more than two decades, helped along by the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. But the economy is looking relatively healthy now, with inflation down from its decades-high record in 2022, shrinking to 3.5% in June. Weekly jobless claims just dropped to their lowest level since 1969. And yet the government is still issuing increasing amounts of debt. Economists say it's unsustainable.
Reducing the federal deficit may be Congress's job, but the central bank, led by Chair Kevin Warsh, has to contend with the economic effects of Treasury borrowing as it determines whether to hike, cut or hold interest rates steady. A committee that already is split on where interest rates should head will gather this week to decide what's next as a growing chorus of experts point to the problem the federal deficit poses.

Oh, the spoils of war.
The House of Representatives narrowly passed a record $1.15 trillion annual defense budget last week. It still needs Senate approval, but Washington's appetite for military spending is clear, and the US isn't alone. The EU, **** an and Middle Eastern nations have all been ramping up defense budgets, too, creating real sector opportunities for portfolios. Capturing them, however, takes more than pure defense-category investing: It requires knowing where the money actually flows.

A single first RMD can push a retiree two IRMAA brackets higher, jumping Medicare Part B premiums from $203 to $406 per month.
IRMAA brackets work as cliffs, meaning that crossing a threshold by even $1 triggers the full surcharge for the entire year based on income from two years prior.
Qualified Charitable Distributions and pre-RMD Roth conversions are the primary tools retirees use to reduce IRMAA exposure before distributions begin.
Two retirees, same $1 million, same 4% rule, buy one finished with $1.4 million, the other hit $0 in 12 years. Our free reader guide explains the flaw that separated them, and the income-first method built to avoid it.
The standard 2026 Medicare Part B premium is $202.90 a month, up from $185.00 in 2025, and for most beneficiaries, that number is the whole story. For a retiree who took his first Required Minimum Distribution in December and watched it land on top of his other income, the figure that arrived from Social Security was different: $405.80 a month. Same coverage, same doctors, two brackets higher on the Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount schedule.

Remember when gas was under $4 a gallon and you could take the family out to eat without taking out a second mortgage? Ahhh, those were the days.
As the cost of living rises, everyday expenses are eating into retirement savings. Americans currently participating in workplace retirement plans anticipate needing $1.2 million on average to retire comfortably, according to a Schroders survey released this month. However, just 30% believe they will reach $1 million due in large part to rising costs, debt and competing expenses. In fact, a third of those surveyed said they have more credit card debt than retirement savings. There are also signs that wealthier clients are feeling the squeeze. It's a great chance for advisors to help clients prioritize spending to stay on track for retirement without overextending their resources today.
"While many are still contributing to retirement, they're finding it harder to increase their savings each year," said Nathan Sebesta, an advisor at Access Wealth Strategies. "Retirement savings shouldn't simply be what's left over at the end of the month. It should be treated like any other essential bill."

Mark Twain may have been right when he quipped that all a person needs in life is ignorance and confidence. But when it comes to successfully navigating retirement, that's playing a dangerous game.
Many Americans make a lot of ****** umptions about retirement, from when they'll finally leave the job to when they'll claim Social Security, according to new research from J.P. Morgan ****** et Management. That's mostly a good thing, because planning for retirement requires a lot of forethought and careful financial and behavioral preparation. The problem is that many people seem to be working from faulty premises, starting with the belief that retirement is a one-time event that can be carefully orchestrated according to one's personal wishes. In reality, retirement is more of a journey than a one-time event, with timing that can vary widely due to factors not entirely (or even partly) within the individual's control. That's why the research compares the experiences of current retirees with the expectations of savers, while highlighting the important role that financial advisors can play in helping their clients cut through the noise.
"Retirees can offer a valuable reference point for [those people] still saving," said Michael Conrath, chief retirement strategist for J.P. Morgan ****** et Management. "This year's survey highlights several disconnects between what people expect and what retirees actually experience."

We've all heard the saying: If you wouldn't want it splashed across the front page of tomorrow's newspaper (or The Daily Upside newsletter), it's probably best not to say it at all.
The same rule applies when it comes to sharing sensitive estate planning information with general-purpose AI chatbots. It may seem like a harmless exercise to run one's trust-funding strategy or family business succession plans past the likes of Claude or ChatGPT, but doing so can actually subject that information to future discovery if the plan is challenged in court, according to a team of specialist attorneys at ArentFox Schiff. So advisors and their clients should utilize extreme caution when utilizing public generative AI tools as part of the estate planning process, especially in situations where a lot of wealth is at stake or a future estate dispute seems likely.
"It's fraught with risk when we recklessly invite AI into the attorney-advisor-client relationship," said Sarah Kerr Severson, a partner on ArentFox Schiff's private wealth and tax planning team. "There's no attorney-client privilege there. Courts have already confirmed that."

Our ******* ysts just identified a stock with the potential to be the next Nvidia. Tell us how you invest and we'll show you why it's our #1 pick. Tap here.
Gross margin expanded 530 basis points to 35.7%, driven by a shift toward high-margin, less cyclical revenue streams including brokerage, finance, insurance, and marina operations.
Management attributed the 7% decline in same-store sales to broader industry softness and lower unit volumes, though the company claims to be outperforming general industry trends.
Boat margins improved for the second consecutive quarter as industry inventory levels began to normalize, reducing the need for aggressive promotional activity.
The premium end of the marine market remains more resilient than value segments, aligning with the company's core product portfolio and customer base.

Tonight's A's starter is 28-year-old lefty Jacob Lopez. He throws a low-90s fastball, a slider, cutter, change and sinker. When he fools hitters, he's good at minimizing hard contact, but he doesn't fool them often enough and he walks a lotta guys, which equals a 6.64 ERA (and 5.77 FIP) for this season.
The reasons the A's left Oakland are complex, but here's the very simple version: John Fisher is a useless failson s**theap who wants as much public money as he can possibly get, because he sucks.
The slightly longer version? The Oakland Coliseum was an old-ish building in poor repair (several instances of raw sewage in the dugouts, a much cuter invasion of feral cats), and — more importantly — featured very little in the way of luxury/premium seating. The team had wanted a new building since at least 2001, and had floated the idea of leaving the city altogether but staying in the Bay Area. A notion of moving to San Jose (40 miles away) was nixed by the Giants, who had territorial rights there; one of moving to to Fremont (25 miles away) was nixed by the city of Fremont.
The A's signed a 10-year lease renewal in 2014, with the understanding that the team would seek a new stadium in the same county as Oakland. The team proposed several dumb, greedy ideas which were shot down, and eventually useless failson Fisher got his heart set on part of Oakland's Howard Terminal. The city was half willing to work with him on that one, since they had their own ideas about redeveloping the area, but there were significant problems including interference with other industries, infrastructure costs, environmental concerns, inevitable sea level rise, and so on.
Still, when the city and the team were only about $100 million apart on a $12 billion project, the deal fell apart in 2023. Useless failson Fisher announced he would be moving the team to Las Vegas. There's lots of details behind this, but the best explanation came from the then-mayor's chief of staff: "I don't think he [Fisher] got cold feet. I think he got an accountant."

On July 21, during CNBC's Mad Money program, host Jim Cramer used the daily chart **** ysis by options trader Bob Lang, founder of Explosive Options, to examine American Express Company (NYSE:AXP). Cramer pointed to the company's distinct cardholder demographic and high-margin annual fee structure, as he highlighted why the premium card issuer remains a long-time favorite for core portfolio allocations:
Now finally, there's one that I have been near and dear for as long as I can remember, and that's American Express. Now, this only has 10% of purchase volume with fewer cards in circulation, but their cardholders tend to spend a lot more money. Plus, they charge fees for their best cards, basically making you pay for access to their generous rewards programs. It's a fantastic business model. But remember, they do have credit risk.
Under Cramer's framework, American Express occupies a specialized niche compared to rival payment networks Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) and Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA). While Visa controls 60% of cardholders and Mastercard holds 25% to 30%, American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) commands roughly 10% of purchase volume. However, unlike Visa and Mastercard, which operate strictly as neutral tollbooths with zero balance-sheet risk, American Express operates as a direct card issuer. That closed-loop structure allows the company to capture premium annual membership fees and higher per-cardholder spending, though it requires absorbing credit default risk when consumers fall behind on payments.
On the technical side, Cramer highlighted that Lang noted that American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) has shown exceptional relative strength during recent broader market chop. After breaking out above its 200-day moving average in early June, the stock successfully retested that key support level on multiple occasions before surging higher on heavy volume. With the MACD indicator continuing to flash a buy signal, Lang sees a clear path toward $350, with a secondary upside target at its February peak of $370. It is the exact price level where sellers previously emerged. Furthermore, heading into Friday's quarterly report, Cramer shared Lang's bullish fundamental outlook on travel demand while offering his own tactical trading playbook for retail investors:
Now, I've gotta tell you, in his view, American Express is the best in class. Given that we've seen big numbers in travel here, Lang expects that Amex will shoot the lights out when it reports on Friday… I agree with him that this company's best of breed, but I also want to point out that American Express' stock, no matter what they seem to report, tends to sell off in response to earnings on that Friday even when the numbers are terrific. Then it gradually finds its footing afterwards and mounts strong rallies in between quarters, which is why I always say, you know, around like 10:30, 11, you might want to buy this one. I'm not kidding. It's been a good prediction so far.

Growth in last-mile delivery for big and bulky e-commerce items has slowed by half because stagnant home sales mean people are ordering fewer large-ticket discretionary items like furniture and appliances, cutting into profit margins, according to a report from Armstrong & ******* ociates and the National Home Delivery ******* ociation.
Armstrong & ******* ociates estimated the $10.6 billion market for residential delivery of oversized and heavyweight items will grow at a 5.1% compound annual rate through 2027, down from 10.6% over the past eight years, reaching an estimated value of $12.3 billion. Winning service providers will be those that can best execute core, commoditized services such as white-glove delivery, time-definite, returns and in-home ******* embly.
The expansion continues to be driven by major retailers and e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot and Lowe's, which have made large-format products central to their online offerings. Many third-party logistics providers (3PLs) support them, primarily utilizing independent contractors and freight brokerage operations, but the work is more complex and cost-intensive than for final-mile couriers in parcel networks who simply drop off packages at doorsteps, or in mailboxes.
As more consumers purchase ******* bersome products online, carriers face growing pressure to provide not just transportation to the curb, but a premium, in-home delivery experience that may include setup, installation, and even haul-away services, while keeping costs under control, the report said.
Demand for exercise equipment, mattresses, furniture and other large items is closely tied to switches in living locations. When people and businesses move, they tend to upgrade items, or add new ones to fill larger ******* es.

The Fund's investment strategy focuses on essential infrastructure that maintains competitive advantages, rather than chasing speculative momentum. The firm emphasizes secular long-term growth, regardless of which AI technologies prevail. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.

Brasada Capital Management stated the following regarding Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) distributes a wide array of products including fasteners, tools, safety equipment, and janitorial supplies, but at its core Fastenal is an outsourced procurement and supply chain partner for the industrial sector, helping to seamlessly manage customer inventory. Fastenal embeds itself within its customers' operations through local branches, automated industrial vending machines, FASTBins equipped with RFID technology, and dedicated Onsite locations where full-time Fastenal employees work directly on the customer's manufacturing floor. By handling the complexities of sourcing and replenishment, Fastenal ensures parts are always available, allowing clients to focus on their core competencies without the risk of costly production delays caused by a missing screw.
What makes Fastenal a high-quality business is that their customers have come to depend on them for cheap, mission critical parts – any delay or having the wrong type of fastener in inventory can mean millions of dollars in costs for the manufacturers in the form of slowdowns, shutdowns, poor product quality, or recalls. If you're missing a $0.30 screw on a $10K or $10M machine, you're just not shipping that machine, and if you have too many of those screws laying around, you're likely wasting ***** e and money. As such, Fastenal commands premium pricing power, high returns on capital, and reoccurring revenue. On top of that, Fast
