Meghan Markle is reportedly "questioning" whether the Sussexes' U.K. move was the right choice. Fans are aware that Prince Harry and Meghan moved to the U.K. on August 26 and intend to stay in the country for an extended period of time. However, the couple hasn't exactly received the warm welcome they were seemingly hoping to get. This has reportedly led to friction between Harry and Meghan.
Meghan Markle reportedly wishes to spend more time in the U.S., while her husband, Prince Harry, wants to stay in the U.K. longer. According to a report by Closer, almost three months later, the Suits alum is debating her decision to move to the U.K.
The ****** ss of Sussex did not enjoy her stay in Britain when she got married to the Duke. It seems like nothing much has changed, and she is "terrified" that she's in for another round of misery. "Then there's the uncertainty over how things are going to go with the royals and the British public. Meghan is understandably pretty anxious about that and already wondering if this was a mistake," the source added.
The Sussexes were seemingly trying to make inroads with the royal family when King Charles made an important announcement. The monarch released a statement via Lord Chamberlain, ****** erting that the Sussexes remain private citizens. Harry and Meghan cannot use royal ****** les (HRH) or participate in royal engagements.
The Sussexes released a statement stating that they "were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance." The actress is reportedly hurt that there has been no acknowledgement of them from the royal family. It is quite "hurtful" because one positive word would silence their critics. On top of that, the bills are piling up for them, and the expenses are only increasing.

Democrats in Congress gained the power Tuesday night to more forcefully investigate President Trump and rein in his agenda, setting up confrontations that are likely to define the final two years of his presidency.
As party leaders on Wednesday celebrated retaking the House and Senate, they vowed to put Trump and his administration on the defensive with subpoenas and hearings, a role that voters made clear they want them to play. But they also said the top priority would be the issue that swept them to power: making life more affordable.
"We are going to work hard to drive costs down with the president or without him, period," Sen. Chuck Schumer, who is poised to become Senate majority leader, said at a news conference.
Schumer's fellow New Yorker and the House Democratic leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, echoed those priorities on CNN: "We ran on affordability, we won decisively on affordability, and now we have a responsibility to govern on affordability."
With power split between the legislative and executive branches, to what degree Washington avoids gridlock will depend on how Trump wields his veto pen and how the Democrats negotiate with him — and how they follow through on pledges to investigate what they called a corrupt administration.

Premiums for Medicare prescription drug coverage will jump an average of 50% in 2027, which may push normally complacent enrollees to shop around during this open-enrollment period.
The estimated average monthly premium for Medicare Part D stand-alone prescription drug plans (PDPs) is projected to be $51 in 2027, a 50% increase over 2026, when that figure was $34, according to KFF, a healthcare research and policy firm. Average monthly premiums for the eight national prescription drug plans are projected to range from around $6 to $204 in 2027, KFF said.
These stocks have soared the most today after the Democrats trounced Trump
Midterm elections deliver a 'blue wave.' The stock market sees green.
"With some plans increasing premiums substantially, the stakes are higher this year for people with Medicare stand-alone drug coverage if they sit on the sidelines during open enrollment," said Juliette Cubanski, a vice president and director of the program on Medicare policy at KFF. "There are relatively low-premium PDP options, but people facing large premium increases need to take action if they want to avoid paying significantly more."

CD ownership among American families surged 65%, jumping from 6.5% to 10.7% between 2022 and 2025, driven by higher deposit rates.
Median CD balances rose 23% while mean balances grew only 4%, signaling gains spread broadly among typical savers rather than wealthy account holders.
Treasury bills currently yield up to 4.39%, well above the national average 12-month CD rate of 1.76%, which trails inflation running at 3.7%.

The midterm elections are over. But as far as the stock market goes, Tuesday's voting results probably don't matter much, aside from some elevated market volatility.
But there's some good news about the midterms, and it has nothing to do with which party came out on top. Historically, the six-month period following midterm elections -- from November of the midterm election year to the following April -- is the best in the four-year presidential cycle for the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC). That's according to the Stock Trader's Almanac, which tracks market returns closely.

The Detroit Red Wings are moving forward without Dylan Larkin, and two of the team's biggest stars have made it clear that the remaining players aren't going to let the controversy derail their season.
Following Thursday night's emotional 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, Moritz Seider and Alex DeBrincat spoke about the challenges facing Detroit after Larkin informed the organization he would no longer play while awaiting a trade.
And while neither player dismissed what Larkin has meant to the franchise, both emphasized the importance of having players who are committed to the team.
Their comments offered an interesting glimpse into a locker room suddenly facing life without its former captain.

The Detroit Red Wings have spent months answering questions about Dylan Larkin. Following Thursday night's victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, head coach Todd McLellan made it clear that he's ready to talk about something else.
Winning hockey games.
Just hours after the organization officially suspended Larkin without pay, the Red Wings delivered an impressive 4-1 victory at Little Caesars Arena.
And afterward, McLellan had a message that should tell everyone exactly where his priorities stand.

Manchester United are considering an ambitious January move for Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as Michael Carrick searches for solutions to his side's growing attacking concerns.
According to Laurie Whitwell and Beren Cross of The Athletic, United have begun ****** sing potential centre-forward targets ahead of the winter transfer window, with Calvert-Lewin emerging as a player of interest.
The 29-year-old England international has rediscovered his goalscoring touch at Elland Road, making him an intriguing option for a Manchester United side facing an increasingly complicated period without Benjamin Sesko.
However, persuading Leeds to part with their leading striker could prove exceptionally difficult.
Calvert-Lewin's resurgence represents one of the more compelling stories in English football. Having endured several injury-disrupted seasons at Everton, the striker has rebuilt his reputation since joining Leeds on a free transfer in the summer of 2025.

The Los Angeles Kings found a way to win a game they shouldn't have needed to find a way to win on Thursday night. They might have a change in coaching strategy to thank for that.
After blowing a 5-1 third-period lead, the Kings defeated the Ottawa Senators 6-5 in overtime behind Quinton Byfield's game-winner. But almost as interesting as the wild swings of the game was something Drew Doughty revealed after it ended.
"It's the first year in my whole career that we've ever actually worked on three-on-three," the Kings' captain said. "A lot of credit to the coaches in that area. We worked on it in camp. We worked on it before the season started, and they had a bit of a game plan, which we didn't really have before either. So a lot of credit to them for making us work on it."
If the Kings ever had an offseason where they needed to improve that aspect of their game, it was this past one. They lost an NHL-record 20 overtime and shootout games in 2025-26, a huge part of the reason they finished with the Western Conference's second wild-card spot and were swept out of the playoffs in the first round. First-year head coach Peter Laviolette came in and wanted to make sure the Kings didn't post those numbers again.
"There's definitely a method to the madness, and there's got to be a buy-in to that, and I think the players bought in," Laviolette said. "There's a lot of review that went through it, and there's things that we talk about prior to games and then after games — the overtime games — and reviewing that. And I think the players have done a really good job of executing them."

During their annual Halloween game, the Carolina Hurricanes didn't just come out with a win against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but one franchise record was broken – and another NHL record was tied as they took the game with a 3-2 score.
With just over four minutes left in the first period, Jordan Martinook scored the first goal of the game – which would prove to be the only goal of the frame. Of course, there was a fan in the stands in a costume themed after Martinook's 'Meals with Marty' vlog – and yes, that fan was heavily focused on during the broadcast.

Valkyries bash 'unacceptable' start in WNBA Finals Game 6 loss to Dream appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
ATLANTA – Call it nerves, call it fatigue, call it championship anxiety, call it all of the above. Whatever was going on with the Golden State Valkyries in the first quarter of their 80-69 loss to the Atlanta Dream in Game 6 of the WNBA Finals, something wasn't right.
Their offense, which had had the juice and the fight the last two games to overcome the inefficient nature of how it functions, came out far too careful and tepid as the Dream blew up every on-ball screen they tried to set. Their defense, which has been the driving force of their magical run to the Finals, got torched. Atlanta rained down bucket after bucket as they shot 11-of-15 from the field and 6-of-8 from beyond the arc in the opening period, justifying the thunderous home crowd's decision to call out sick from work to watch their team shine.
Didn't matter that they eventually amped up their ball pressure and started forcing the Dream into some lazy passes. Didn't matter that they decided to get back to attacking the rim with reckless abandon in the second half, with their trips to the free-throw line helping them cut the deficit down to eight with 1:15 left in the game. Because by the time the Valkyries found the gear that makes them the Valkyries, it was too late.

Phoebe Dynevor became internationally famous through Bridgerton, and that sudden success also brought increased attention to her personal life. The British actress has experienced everything from relatively private relationships to a highly publicized romance followed by photographers and tabloids. Over time, however, Dynevor has become increasingly careful about separating her career from her relationships. Her romantic history has included actors and figures outside the entertainment spotlight, but her relationship with Cameron Fuller ultimately became the most significant chapter. After beginning their romance in 2023, the couple became engaged and later married.
Before Bridgerton transformed her public profile, Dynevor was linked to several men, including British actor Sean Teale and executive Simon Merrill. These relationships attracted comparatively limited attention, partly because they occurred before she became internationally recognizable as Daphne Bridgerton. The success of the Netflix period drama dramatically changed the amount of interest surrounding her life away from the screen.
That became especially clear in 2021, when Dynevor dated American comedian Pete Davidson. Their relationship generated intense media attention as the pair were photographed together and followed by celebrity publications. Dynevor later reflected on the experience of suddenly having strangers interested in something she considered an ordinary part of being a young woman. The relationship ended after several months, with their demanding schedules and distance widely reported as challenges.
A quieter chapter began when Dynevor was linked to actor and producer Cameron Fuller in 2023. The pair initially kept much of their relationship away from public attention, although they gradually began appearing together at events. Fuller comes from an entertainment industry family and has worked both in front of and behind the camera.
Their relationship reached another milestone in 2024. Dynevor attended the Met Gala wearing a pale pink Victoria Beckham gown and revealed a diamond ring on her left hand, bringing widespread attention to their engagement. Fuller and Dynevor largely continued their low key approach afterward rather than turning their wedding preparations into a constant public storyline.

Brad Pitt has found a surprising lesson in survival, one that has little to do with Hollywood or the physical challenges of his latest film.
As the actor reflected on the painful period surrounding his divorce from Angelina Jolie while promoting his survival thriller "Heart of the Beast," he credited the people who helped him endure it.
Filming a wilderness survival thriller also gave him a fresh perspective on navigating personal upheaval, rebuilding his footing, and taking life one small victory at a time.

For Brad Pitt, getting through life's hardest moments was not about maintaining a polished public image or pretending he could handle everything alone.

Walmart is reworking an iconic piece of pop culture history to bolster its holiday marketing and a "Who Knew?" brand platform starring Walton Goggins. The goal is to offer a unified marketing push with multigenerational appeal throughout the crucial gift-giving season.
The retailer in the past ran separate campaigns around different legs of the holiday season, such as the ramp-up to Black Friday, but has leveraged "Who Knew?" to streamline its storytelling. "Who Knew?," which launched last year, was developed to dispel misperceptions about the brand and position it as more style- and trend-forward as Walmart wins over higher-income shoppers.
"The holidays are an incredibly cluttered period of time from an advertising standpoint, and so the ability to break through is really important," Walmart CMO William White said in an interview. "Having one [theme], one campaign throughout the season allows a really quick read for customers to know it's Walmart."

Maryland men's basketball unofficially kicked off basketball season in Xfinity Center Sunday, taking on local foes West Virginia in its second of three preseason games.
The Terps started slowly, falling behind by as many as 19 points in the first half, before stringing together positive possessions after the break to complete the comeback with 10 minutes to go. From there, the teams went back and forth until an overtime period where the Terps kept the Mountaineers from making a field goal.
Now, a behind-closed-doors scrimmage is all that separates the Terps from their official season opener on Nov. 2 against Bucknell.
Here are three takeaways from Sunday's matinee.
Starting in his second consecutive preseason game, Boston University transfer Mike McNair Jr. took little time to make an impression on the home crowd.
