At about $644.38 a share, Meta Platforms (META) stock carries options that price a range from roughly $418 to $993 for about a year out. The floor of that band would take about a third off a position, and the ceiling would add more than half. Wide as it is, the range carries only a normal premium over how much the shares actually moved in the past year.

On each share, the ceiling is a gain of about $349 and the floor a loss of about $226. The gap is lopsided because a price can rise without limit but cannot fall below zero. The options put roughly a two-in-three chance on the stock finishing between them.
That leaves roughly a 16% chance of finishing above the ceiling and roughly a 16% chance of finishing below the floor. For a holder, the downside tail is the one to sit with: about one-in-six odds of losing more than a third. The floor also sits more than $100 below $525.23, the lowest price of the past 52 weeks. The shares are already down 15.6% over twelve months, against a 17.9% return for the S&P 500, though they have returned 13.0% over the past three months.

It was then Hedden was destined to be a quarterback with a supportive blended family. His parents and stepparents "made sure I made every tryout. They took me to camps. They helped me meet the coaches I wanted to learn from." And they attended every game, including during his two years at Furman and this season with the Aggies. After a 10-percentage-point jump in accuracy from his freshman season, Hedden entered the portal to "raise the ceiling a little bit" in pursuit of future pro opportunities. NMSU head coach Tony Sanchez's spread attack offered protection (312 pounds an O-lineman) and speedy targets. Slot receiver TK King has been GPS-clocked at nearly 23 mph and laser-timed at 20.74 seconds over 200 meters. "The biggest thing for me is I've got to remember that on game day, he's a little bit faster than he is in practice," Hedden said of King. "When he's running a route, you can throw it out there and he'll turn it on. We talk about it in the meeting room. Go make him run 100 meters to catch the ball." King's average target depth is 21 yards. He has catch-and-dashes of 46, 42 and 34 yards. The Aggies have sets of four and five receivers or up to two tight ends. Running back James Jones has no fumbles or negative-yard rushes in 30 carries. Jones also is an effective blocker who can roll into the flats. Hedden is 80% accurate on screens, hitches and check-down throws. "The quarterback in this offense is really a distributor," Hedden said. "We really focus on the things we're good at, and we repeat those things, and find new ways to do those things every week. It's really been a lot of fun to play in this offense with these coaches."
The Aggies' base is chaos, with shifts, movements and glove-to-glove combat in the trenches and running lanes. "When things get so cranky, like how many blitzes and stunts, it looks like Star Wars to us," weakside linebacker Sone Aupiu said. His first two NMSU seasons, Aupiu played middle linebacker. He moved to will linebacker last year but still trains at all second-tier positions, including jack, the stand-up edge defender. Helped by playing on the narrow side of the formation, Aupiu has freedom to jump lanes. "When it comes to gap schemes, that's what I love," he said. And she wants it to be on the biggest stage yet.
Representatives for Shields, the undisputed "GWOAT" of boxing who remains undefeated as a professional, have had recent negotiations to stage her next bout at downtown Detroit's Ford Field. Shields would be the first female boxer ever to headline a stadium card in the United States. Promoters believe the fight could draw 50,000 fans.
"We just feel like it's the right time to make history again, to break another glass ceiling," Dmitriy Salita, of Salita Promotions, told The Detroit News on Thursday.

CNBC reported that NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) CFO Colette Kress told investors on August 26 that fiscal 2028 revenue growth will reach 70%, far above the 44% average **** yst estimate tracked by LSEG, marking the company's first-ever year-ahead revenue forecast.
Applied to the roughly $396 billion consensus estimate for fiscal 2027, that guidance implies fiscal 2028 revenue near $673 billion to $700 billion. It would put Nvidia ahead of Apple and Alphabet and behind only Amazon among U.S. tech companies by revenue. The forecast followed fiscal second-quarter results that beat expectations across the board: revenue more than doubled to $96.22 billion, up 106% year over year, with data center revenue of $89 billion, up 117%, now making up 92% of total sales.
CEO Jensen Huang told investors AI has reached the point where it is doing productive, profitable work and that computing capacity itself is now translating directly into revenue. Shares jumped roughly 8.7% on the news, lifting the broader semiconductor sector. Management said the 70% figure shows supply constraints, primarily memory component shortages, rather than a ceiling on actual demand, and the outlook excludes China data center revenue.
The current quarter already delivered, not just promised. Revenue of $96.22 billion beat estimates by roughly $4 billion, and data center revenue's 117% year-over-year jump shows the AI buildout is generating historic growth today, not just in a projection.
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)'s customer base is broadening, which could reduce concentration risk. Huang said demand is now coming from hyperscale cloud providers alongside sovereign AI programs, neoclouds, AI startups, and enterprises. It means future growth depends less on any single large customer's spending decisions.

NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) biggest lingering investor concern was customer concentration, CNBC reported. Nvidia relies on hyperscalers Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, along with major buyers Meta and ****** eX, for an outsized share of revenue, and in May began splitting its data center reporting into "hyperscalers" versus everyone else, a group it calls AI clouds, industrial, and enterprise, or ACIE. In the first quarter, the two segments were nearly even, at $37.9 billion for hyperscalers and $37.5 billion for ACIE, with ACIE growing 31% versus a slower pace for hyperscalers. CEO Jensen Huang has said the "easiest go-to-market" is hyperscalers "because there are only five or six of them," versus "250,000 companies" in the broader industry Nvidia hopes to reach.
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)'s actual results answered the concentration question better than investors feared. In a later quarter, Data Center revenue reached $89 billion (beating the $85.8 billion forecast), while CFO Colette Kress noted that hyperscale revenue more than doubled. ACIE revenue surged 138%, an outcome showing the smaller, more diversified customer base is now growing even faster than the concentrated hyperscaler group Nvidia has leaned on most heavily.
Huang's own framing shows the concentration is a go-to-market choice, not a structural ceiling. Huang has described hyperscalers as simply the "easiest" customers to sell to first because there are only a handful of them, while pointing to roughly 250,000 other companies as the long-term addressable market. It means today's concentration shows where Nvidia started selling, not the limit of where it can sell.
Even Nvidia's most concentrated customers keep buying at scale despite their own cost pressures. Hyperscalers have continued purchasing GPUs in bulk even as their free cash flow gets squeezed by capital spending, evidence that AI infrastructure remains a top spending priority for these companies rather than an area facing near-term cutbacks.
The underlying dependence is still there, even if this quarter's mix improved. Nvidia continues to draw an outsized share of revenue from just three hyperscalers plus Meta and ****** eX. Each of those companies is actively designing its own custom chips specifically to reduce reliance on Nvidia. It is a long-term competitive threat that one strong ACIE quarter does not eliminate.

USC football shut out Fresno State on Friday night. The Trojans were able to earn a day off and watch college football on Saturday. The game you know the Trojans were watching on Saturday was Oregon versus Boise State. The Ducks got a severe test. Ducks Wire reacted:
"'I'm glad this game was how it was; we've got a lot to learn,' (Dante) Moore said after a career day with 378 yards passing. 'Thank God it wasn't a 40- or 50-point blowout, because this just shows us who we are right now, and what we have to attack coming into next week.'
"If that's what (Dan) Lanning instilled in his guys after a tense, nerve-wracking, and often frustrating season-opener, then I think the Ducks won in more ways than one. Did Oregon look good on Saturday? No, not by their standards. Did they play well? At times, but it was far too inconsistent. Is there a lot to clean up? Yes, undoubtedly. Is everything they're aiming for still out in front of them?
"Coaching a championship contender is hard. You want them to be so dominant that they blow every opponent out of the water, but you also want to keep them motivated and hungry enough to keep working hard. It's like a magic trick, or threading a needle. Lanning has walked that tightrope several times over the years, and he got a bit of an ****** ist on Saturday in Week 1. The Ducks played far below their standards against what we believe is a pretty good Boise State team. They still showed how good they can be, keeping the ceiling high, but left us thinking about how hard they need to work to reach their goals. In the coming weeks, Oregon will undoubtedly tip towards the side of blowouts and bloodbaths. They may eventually fall toward humility down the road, too."
Oregon fell well short of expectations, but it did win a tough game, which could fuel the Ducks' confidence. It will be fascinating to see how the Ducks evolve before they play the Trojans on September 26.

The University of North Carolina's football program has struggled, as they currently hold a losing record under head coach Bill Belichick. Amid the losses, UNC general manager Michael Lombardi has resigned after being placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. And recently, the current defensive coordinator Steve Belichick is also under investigation on suspicion of drug use while on the job. ESPN ****** yst Kevin Clark gives his take on the UNC saga as the team is only one game into their 2026 season.
On the latest episode of First Take, Clark was asked, "Should UNC already regret hiring Bill Belichick?" to which he gave a brazen response, ripping Belichick and the organization as a whole for their incompetence.
"Yeah, yes, and part of it, there's so much that goes into it; part of it is that the ceiling is eight wins, nine wins for Bill Belichick in college football. They simply don't have the resources; they don't want to put the resources towards building a playoff team. And I think that there was maybe an expectation that this was going to be old college football, and that Belichick could go into a living room and say 'look at my Super Bowl rings' and get five stars. That is no longer the case, if it ever was the case," Clark said.
"This is UNC football; it's always going to be on the back burner. So what this has done, this era in the last two years, has brought embarrassment to the university; the Michael Lombardi saga has brought more embarrassment to it, and now we have the Steve Belichick investigation; it's not gonna work from a football perspective and hasn't worked from an on-field perspective… Yes, they should regret hiring Bill Belichick, and yes, I think it will end sooner rather than later."
As the 1-0 Tar Heels try to look past the off-field turmoil, their next matchup will be a home opener against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers on August 12th.

JBM Packaging has opened a 52,500ft² site in Lebanon, Ohio, US, approximately a mile from its main base, as it expands its contract packaging, kitting and filling activities.
The facility will support up to 50 additional jobs.
It will house operations that had previously been run from rented premises in Queensgate, where JBM began its contract packaging business in 2021.
The new building has 28ft clear-height ceilings, dense warehouse racking and a layout intended to improve the movement of materials and completed goods.
JBM said the move lifts total machine capacity by 50%, giving it scope to handle a larger share of customers' packaging requirements, including planning, production and distribution.

In Part 1 of our 32 bets for 32 teams ahead of the NFL season, we went up and down the AFC, looking for value in both the team futures and the player prop market; contemplating the statistical ceiling for some, and breaking down why others might not meet expectations.
For Part 2, our attention turns to the NFC. Here is my favorite bet for all 16 teams:
Last season, we could feel positive statistical regression coming for Trey McBride touchdowns, as he was lined at 4.5 after a 2024 season where he scored just twice on 111 receptions.
McBride scored 11 times.
The market's done a better job adjusting to McBride than NFL defenses have, lining him at 6.5 touchdowns this season, but the Cardinals do have more red zone options this season. As a model of consistency with between five and 12 receptions in all but one game in 2025, and wanting to have a piece of McBride in some way, we'll bet on him to hit 100 receptions for a third straight season.

Brookfield and Bloom Energy have dramatically enlarged their wager on data-center electricity. On June 30, Brookfield **** et Management Ltd. (NYSE:BAM) and Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) expanded an AI infrastructure framework from $5 billion to as much as $25 billion. Brookfield can finance eligible deployments through its investment vehicles, while Bloom can supply fuel-cell systems that generate power near the customer. The arrangement attacks a genuine bottleneck, but its impressive ceiling is not the same thing as committed revenue.

Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) offers speed. Its systems can be installed on-site, reducing dependence on slow transmission projects and helping data centers obtain reliable power sooner. If AI demand keeps outrunning the grid, the company can turn its manufacturing platform into a central infrastructure solution. The bear case is execution at unprecedented scale. Equipment costs, fuel availability, service obligations, and project-specific economics will determine whether deployments create durable margins rather than merely large order headlines.
Brookfield **** et Management Ltd. (NYSE:BAM) brings capital formation and **** et expertise. It can choose projects, structure financing, and earn fees without manufacturing the equipment itself. A $25 billion framework expands the universe of potential **** ets and gives Brookfield access to long-lived infrastructure demand. However, capital is deployed only when projects meet contracts and underwriting criteria. Brookfield still bears financing, construction, counterparty, and **** et-performance risks through participating vehicles.
The partnership works because each side absorbs a different part of the problem. Bloom supplies technology and accepts manufacturing and performance risk. Brookfield organizes capital and accepts underwriting risk. Customers must still sign viable contracts. Investors should therefore resist adding the framework ceiling to either company's backlog. The opportunity becomes valuable one approved project at a time, with disciplined underwriting and execution.

With the summer transfer window set to close within the next two days, some significant news for ****** nal has emerged on Sunday as the exits of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Fabio Vieira have all been reported. Jesus will be joining Barcelona, while Martinelli is set to become ****** nal's record transfer with a move to Saudi side Al Hilal. Vieira will return to Hamburg on a permanent move after a successful loan spell last season.
The Fabio Vieira move is one that has been in the making for the last few seasons. He came into the ****** nal side from Porto in the 2022 summer window as an under-the-radar move with a high ceiling. While he displayed his technical quality at times, he just never seemed to adapt to the more physical nature of the Premier League, and he was soon in the window shop for the Gunners. A loan back to Porto in 24/25 was followed by his spell with Hamburg in 25/26 where he shone for the Bundesliga side.
The one drawback of the Hamburg loan was that any fee for a permanent move was never going to majorly move the needle. Considering their record fee for an incoming player was €14m for Filip Kostic, the expectation was that they would not come close to meeting ****** nal's original valuation of €20m. After negotiations this week, the Gunners brought their asking price down and reached an agreement of €9m for the midfielder.
Gabriel Jesus' also saw his role in the side lessen over the past two seasons due in large part to injuries. His addition in the summer of 2022 after joining from Manchester City was a landmark one in the Mikel Arteta era. His arrival took ****** nal from a being simply a competitive side to one that consistent challenged for the ****** le. The first 6 months of his first season were sublime as he immediately elevated the attack with his exceptional ability to receive the ball in tight ****** es and link up with the front line.
Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury in the 2022 World Cup that began a series of ongoing issues he never seemed to overcome. The cycle that followed was as predictable as it was frustrating. After recovering from an injury, he would show flashes of his brilliance before encountering another setback. The signing of Viktor Gyökeres last summer was a major indicator that the club was preparing for him to take a more diminished role in the attack, and a move seemed inevitable.

What are the early indicators, for better or worse? These are a few.
1.) Can NC State's defense be more consistently disruptive on passing plays? State's defense was really, really bad on passing downs last season—its havoc rate stunk, it was bad on a per-play basis, from an EPA basis, from pretty much every basis. Whole thing was ugly.
Virginia doesn't have a skill position group that's scaring anybody, and as long as Beau Pribula is the starting quarterback—which I don't think will last long—then the ceiling there is pretty low. But if he has four seconds to make a decision every time he drops back, he's going to look like Joe Montana. The battle between UVA's offensive line and State's defense might be the only thing that really matters in this game.
2.) Is CJ Bailey ready to be the kind of quarterback who can carry a team to a big win? The pressure is on now. Everybody knows what kind of player Bailey is, and what he can be—and he's being paid to deliver. Is he ready to handle it? He's working with a brand new bunch of receivers, and he is going to have to improvise for State to have success offensively. There will be breakdowns and misunderstandings and he will need to fix a few things in the moment to keep the ball moving. It's Week 0 and maybe the biggest game of his career so far.
3.) How good are Harvey Dyson and Popo Aguirre? NC State is counting on both to be important; I think it's fair to say both are high-floor guys, but can they be good enough to make the defense substantially better? Aguirre has the most work ahead of him on that one, and if he ends up a clear difference-maker, that changes the expectations for the defense. The margins for success on this defense are extremely small—if either of these guys has an off day, if either gets hurt, it's extremely bad news.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is facing a few questions, and shortcomings, entering his fourth NFL season.
He's not tall, he's quick but not particularly fast, he has decent but not great arm power and he has a high ceiling but a very low basement. He's also remarkably inconsistent from week to week.
One thing you can't argue with is that he's undeniably clutch. No quarterback has more game-winning drives since Young entered the league in 2023, and he's been ranked as the 10th-most clutch quarterback in the league by Bleacher Report.
Analyst Brad Gagnon writes:
This may seem odd considering his broad struggles three years in, but Young has actually led an NFL-high 12 game-winning drives since coming into the league in 2023. Part of that comes from the fact that the Panthers rarely blow teams out, but his 99.8 third-down passer rating in the second half of one-score games since 2024 indicates a significant clutch factor with the 25-year-old. Imagine where he could go with more support in key moments in the future.

On August 18, St. John's announced the signing of 6-foot-10 forward Reed Bailey, coming from Indiana. Entering his fifth collegiate season, Bailey now looks to put the 2025-26 season behind him and rediscover the form that made him one of the more intriguing players in the transfer portal.
Bailey posted 8.3 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 57% from the field last season at Indiana. After playing in a system that didn't maximize his strengths and being asked to play out of position, Bailey could have a much higher ceiling with the Johnnies.
The former three-star recruit comes from an athletic family. His father, Nathan, played basketball at Navy and Pittsburgh, while his mother, Linda, played volleyball at Pittsburgh. His siblings also competed collegiately across basketball and volleyball. Coming from Harvard, Massachusetts, Bailey wasn't heavily recruited, which ultimately led him to Davidson.
Bailey started all 97 games he played during his three seasons at Davidson. In those three seasons, Bailey was named Atlantic-10 Most Improved Player and First-Team All-Atlantic-10 after the 2024-2025 season. With this proven track record, Bailey became one of the premier transfer recruits, ranking 63rd in the portal, right behind future national champion Elliot Cadeau. Indiana ultimately landed Bailey, attracted by his combination of length, fluidity in transition, and ability to consistently threaten defenses around the paint. Within the Wildcats' offense, Bailey was used primarily as a power forward, working off the ball and serving as an off-ball screener.
Between all the high screens and low block movement, Bailey found himself open a lot, where he was fed his points. But Bailey isn't solely an off-ball player. There were plenty of instances where he received the ball at the top of the key and became the focal point of the offense, initiating the possession himself.

Two members of the Golden Gophers football team have suffered season-ending injuries.
Head coach P.J. Fleck, speaking Thursday at the Minnesota State Fair, announced that backup center Brett Carroll and sophomore defensive lineman Enoch Atewogbola have sustained injuries that will force them to miss the entire 2026 season.
Carroll is the No. 2 center behind starter Ashton Beers. The redshirt sophomore is a physical specimen at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds. He was a four-star recruit coming out of Olathe East High School in Kansas in 2024. He picked Minnesota over offers from the likes of Texas Tech, Illinois, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State.
Atewogbola is a sophomore who has not played in a game yet for the Gophers. However, he has a high ceiling as a former three-star recruit from Indiana who rushes off the edge at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds.
The Gophers open the season on Thursday, Sept. 3, at home against Eastern Illinois.
