Training camp has arrived for the Indianapolis Colts, and Anthony Richardson is still a member of the team.
His trade request, however, is still on the table, according to GM Chris Ballard, who met with local media members on Tuesday.
Ballard's intention at this time is to keep Richardson. The Colts aren't going to "give him away," Ballard said, via Mike Chappell.
That said, time will tell if that remains true. According to Joel Erickson, Ballard says the team understands that trading Richardson is still a possibility.

Peyton Watson is nearing a big payday after his breakout season. The Denver Nuggets are offering the UCLA product a five-year, $70 million deal, according to The Athletic's Tony Jones.
It's a tricky financial situation for Denver, which recently matched the Oklahoma City Thunder's two-year, $12 million offer sheet for sharpshooter Spencer Jones. The Jones move brought the Nuggets into the second apron, so they'll reportedly have to do some roster shuffling to be able to extend Watson.

For global oil markets, already in a precarious situation, critical logistical nodes just keep getting thwarted. Things keep going wrong. Oil prices have started rebounding in return, reaching levels not seen since the first weeks of June before the signing of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding as Brent futures (BZ=F) crossed $100 per barrel on Thursday.
"If a ceasefire does not materialize," Rystad Energy head of geopolitical ***** ysis Jorge León said, "the risk of a significant rebound in oil prices would be substantial."
As the war between the US and Iran initially began in late February, attention swung toward the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway responsible for roughly a fifth of the world's oil trade. Threats of violence and, eventually, direct attacks on vessels by Iranian military wings sent traffic through the strait collapsing, kicking off the largest energy supply crisis on record.
Six months down the road, as the conflict has reignited, the danger for the global oil market has diversified, no longer concentrated in a single waterway or oil-producing country. Instead, disruptions are accumulating across the infrastructure that carries crude from the Middle East, processes Russian oil into 11% of the world's diesel, and supplies fuel to consumers from Europe to Asia — and at a time when the market is already squeezed after half a year's worth of supply disruptions.

This is the ninth in a 10-part series of questions facing the Buffalo Bills as they head into training camp at St. John Fisher University.
One of the many things the safety tandem of Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde delivered for the Buffalo Bills during their tenure together was their innate ability to make game-altering plays, namely in the area of turnovers.
They played side-by-side in Sean McDermott's defense for seven seasons and during that time they combined for 38 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles and 10 recoveries, and there were another two picks, three forced fumbles and a recovery in the postseason.
This year, with veteran playmaker CJ Gardner-Johnson joining emerging Cole Bishop in the back end of new coordinator Jim Leonhard's defense, the Bills are hoping they can get a few more big plays from the safety position.

Pep Guardiola has turned down the Italian national team’s offer to become their head coach, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Catalan manager thought it over for several days before saying no. Among the reasons were his desire to take some personal time and his refusal to lead a project without being involved on a daily basis one hundred percent.
“Thank you, it’s an honor, but at this moment I don’t feel up to it,” the Spanish coach replied in the early hours of yesterday morning to the proposal put to him by Maldini and Leonardo.
The FIGC was offering him a long-term project, with its sights set on Euro 2028 and the 2032 World Cup. Guardiola, who left Manchester City after a decade in charge, did not even get as far as discussing the financial terms.
With Guardiola’s no now on the table, the Italian federation has activated its plan B. Andrea Pirlo now appears to be the leading candidate to take over the Azzurri bench.

Former Haas Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner believes Esteban Ocon is likely in his final year with the American outfit, predicting a Ferrari junior will be drafted in to replace the Frenchman in 2027.

It hopes to announce the new Italy coach within the week, with the Azzurri still reeling after failing for a third straight time to qualify for the World Cup.
Former Italy and AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini was named as the federation’s new technical director at the start of the month and was present at a meeting with the Serie A clubs on Thursday, along with new FIGC president Giovanni Malago and special adviser Leonardo.
“Honestly, we can’t give news about what’s happening. You’ve identified one of our targets,” Maldini said when asked about Guardiola in a news conference after the meeting.

The Brooklyn Nets still have some moves to make with the 2026 NBA offseason still containing some big names on the market that could sign as soon as LeBron James decides where he will play next. Brooklyn has made most of the moves that they're going to make prior to the beginning of the 2026-27 season, but they are projected to lead the league in cap ****** e against next season.
The Nets are projected to have $68.6 million in cap ****** e following the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac in a post on X on Thursday. Following the Nets are the Chicago Bulls ($55.6 million), Los Angeles Clippers ($53.8 million), Detroit Pistons ($43.9 million), and Milwaukee Bucks ($43.3 million) to round out the top-5 teams in cap ****** e that offseason.
While Brooklyn is projected to have the most cap ****** e in the league next summer, that figure would change if the Nets agree to a contract extension with forward Michael Porter Jr. at some point this offseason. Porter is eligible to sign an extension for four years and $234 million and while he is unlikely to get the maximum amount of money he is eligible for, the structure of his extension could change Brooklyn's offseason next year significantly.
More to the point, the Nets reportedly signed center Mo Wagner to a two-year, $18 million deal, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, but the Wagner signing has not been made official as of this writing. Former Spurs ***** istant Chip Engelland is leaving Oklahoma City to join the Houston Rockets, according to a report from ESPN's Shams Charania.
Engelland, long known as one of the league's best shooting coaches, built his reputation over nearly two decades on Spurs coaching staffs under Gregg Popovich from 2005-22. While in San Antonio, he built a relationship with Rockets coach Ime Udoka, who had two stints with the Spurs as a player (2007-09 and 2010-11) and served as an ***** istant coach from 2012-19.

I guess we could start by eliminating those who would not be considered longshots. No starter from a year ago should be in that category. I would also eliminate our first two draft picks, as they are being penciled in as starters as well. As far as free agent acquisitions, Davis-Gaither has a pretty clear path to starting, as does Arden Key. Both should, and frankly need to be, to see the Colts defense improve enough to elevate the entire team.
Maybe not every starter should be being counted on as major contributors? For me, if Travis emerged as a player that you start looking at wanting to lock up, that would mean he was making a pretty huge contribution. Fending off Farmer or Goncalves, would be setting the OL up for a couple of years of strong continuity. I would call Farmer a long-shot, but just barely. I don’t think many would be shocked if he won a role, but he does have a hill to climb as a rookie.
Seeing Dulin, NWI, Gould, or Burks might be candidates, if one of them holds on to a role that many want to see a proven veteran be brought in to take. Either of our draft picks, Giddens or McGowan, would be logical choices, provided they win a role or see the field often enough to help. Seeing AR or Leonard become the starter for any stretch, would mean that something went wrong. But, should either get the opportunity and run with it, it certainly would change the narrative for 2027.
There is a decent chance that Haulcey gets the first shot at Safety aside Bynum. There are some players who might push him, or push for time as a 3rd Safety/coverage LB. Wohler, Thomas, and Owens might get some opportunities, should Haulcey not take the role by the horns. If Ward or Sauce are not on the field, we have spent unwisely. If Walley is not on the field, we have ****** umed too much. It would, however, open up a chance to see if Taylor-Britt’s experience in the defense might play well. We have seen the other candidates at corner and a leap would have to be considered in the longshot range.
Boettcher is interesting prospect. Although not truly hyped, he doesn’t have a proven player to rise above. I think if Carlies really had something, we would have seen it by now. Behind Grover, the most likely options are Wooden and Adebawore to have some impact. On the edge, JTT and Clemons are the “vets”, along with the rookies Gumbs and Curry.

The Toronto Raptors are in one of the stranger situations in the NBA at the moment because of the whole Kawhi Leonard saga.
Unfortunately for the Raptors, until the Leonard situation gets resolved, there will be questions about whether they can realistically trade for him, or whether the deal will even go down as reported.
One way to fix some of these problems would be to go out and land other players. At the very least, the Raptors would know they have some other talent coming in. One trade idea was recently floated to bring back Norman Powell and Nic Claxton, two above-average players from the Chicago Bulls.
"Immanuel Quickley ($32.5 million) and Jakob Poeltl ($19.5 million) are both drawing above-value contracts for 2026-27," Alex Kirschenbaum wrote. "To get off Poeltl's money and return Powell to the Raptors, Quickley and Poeltl could be shipped out to Chicago in exchange for Powell and Claxton."

Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has outlined the club’s transfer plans for this window and pinpointed one position on the pitch that they “definitely need” to address with incoming players.
Liverpool have already signed defender Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes, although that deal was agreed back in January, and forward Victor Munoz from Osasuna this summer.
However, Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate have all left the club, while the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are sidelined through injury. Transfer guru Michael Edwards has also left Anfield this summer, throwing a lot of their plans up in the air.
Iraola was reticent to commit to an exact number of signings when he spoke to reporters in Chicago as part of Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States but acknowledged that a Salah replacement on the wing was a non-negotiable addition.
