Democrats try new tactic to remove Trump's name from Kennedy Center
Democratic lawmakers are fighting to restore the original name of what is now dubbed the Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and pushing to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
One House member has filed a lawsuit saying the Trump-appointed board acted illegally to rename the building. Two more filed resolutions condemning the name change, and three senators want to restore the name back to just Kennedy and prevent future presidents from naming things after themselves.

Citizens of the Central African Republic (CAR) will vote on Sunday in highly controversial presidential and legislative elections expected to extend President Faustin-Archange Touadera’s tenure beyond two terms for the first time in the country’s history.
Touadera, who helped put his country on the map when he adopted Bitcoin as one of its legal tenders in 2022, had earlier pushed through a referendum abolishing presidential term limits. White House to review status of all refugees admitted under Biden with no appeals
The Trump administration is ordering the review of all refugees admitted to the U.S. during the Biden administration, according to a memo reviewed by NBC News. It is the latest in a series of actions taken by the administration to dismantle the U.S. immigration system.
The decision would potentially affect more than 200,000 refugees who began the process of legally immigrating to the U.S. over the last four years. In order to receive refugee status, applicants first must go through an extensive vetting proces

Confused Trump, 79, Mistakenly Amplifies Calls to Impeach Himself
Donald Trump is struggling to stay on message after accidentally boosting a call to impeach himself.
The president, 79, went on a social media posting spree attacking a group of Democrats who last week released a video urging U.S. service members and the intelligence community to refuse illegal orders.
But while doing so, he posted a screenshot of Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired naval officer and one of six Democratic lawmakers featured in the video, from an anti-Trump account named “Impeach Trump a 3rd Time.”

The American penny is history. The nickel might be next.
The last pennies were pressed at the US Mint in Philadelphia on Wednesday, a victim of production costs higher than their worth coupled with limited usefulness. While the penny remains legal tender, banks and merchants are already reporting shortages.
But the factors that prompted the government to stop making pennies are even truer for the nickel. Pennies cost nearly 5 cents to make – 4 cents more than they’re worth. The nickel’s net loss is nearly 9 cents per coin.
