Ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, the Warriors have revealed some new threads. Golden State is one of eight teams to receive new "Specter" jerseys from Nike. The Warriors' edition is prominently black with blue stripes on the right side and yellow number outlines. The seven other teams to receive "Specter" jerseys are the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. It seemed like a heartwarming ending. Chris Paul, the man who helped turn around the Clippers' culture and the transition from Donald Sterling to Steve Ballmer as an owner during the Lob City era, came back to the Clippers for his final season before retiring.

On paper, it could appear as though the league was taking away the 2029 Clippers pick the Sixers had the right to swap. But a league source confirmed a report from PhillyVoice that said the NBA was taking away a first-round pick the Pacers owe the Clippers from the Ivica Zubac trade and was not touching the Clippers' own pick, meaning the Sixers' right to swap that pick remains intact.

The league is also taking away five first-round draft picks from the Clippers in 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032 and 2033. The 76ers still have some Clippers draft capital from the trade that sent James Harden to Los Angeles in 2023, but that will be unaffected by the league's punishments, a source confirmed.

Andrew Wantz started and held the Clippers to just one run on three hits over four innings. Wants walked one and struck out three.
Gavin Hollowell pitched one inning in a rehab ***** ignment and allowed one run on two hits and two walks. He did not strike anyone out.
Shelby Miller pitched on back-to-back nights for the first time in his rehab and got the loss. Miller was charged with four runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out two. However . . .

Yesterday was a really bad day for the Los Angeles Clippers. The NBA found the franchise guilty of salary-cap circumvention in the Kawhi Leonard case, stripped them of five first-round picks from 2029 through 2033, fined the team $30.0 million, suspended Steve Ballmer for one year, and suspended Lawrence Frank for six months. Leonard was also fined $700,000, incredibly escaping barely harmed in all of this.
The one piece of good news, if we can even call it that, is that the league didn't block Leonard's move back to the Raptors. That trade had been on hold while the investigation was happening, and with the case now finished, the deal can move forward. Toronto had agreed to send Brandon Ingram, Gradey ****** , two unprotected first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a 2027 first-round pick swap for Leonard.
Those five lost first-round picks hurt the most. The Clippers were finally getting close to controlling their own future again starting in 2029, but now they won't make a first-round selection with one of those picks until 2034, although they should get the Raptors' 2031 and 2033 picks.
