Lady Gaga released a statement through her Haus Labs makeup brand, apologizing to beauty influencer Golloria.
Golloria previously made a video calling out one of the line's new products for a non-inclusive shade range, though Haus Labs asked her to remove it as the product was under an embargo.
"I truly apologize to Golloria," Gaga said in the statement, with the brand adding that it paused the launch and added five more inclusive shades following Golloria's "powerful voice."
Lady Gaga has apologized to social media star Golloria following a clash the pop icon's beauty brand Haus Labs had with the beauty influencer over a new product.
Golloria — a longtime supporter of Haus Labs for its typically inclusive shade range suitable for a variety of skin tones — previously shared a video criticizing the brand's upcoming Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil product for launching with only six shades. The influencer later said that Haus Labs reached out and asked for the post to be removed, which Gaga's statement confirmed — "on the technicality that she was under embargo," as the product hadn't yet hit stores.

Andrew Garfield is standing by his longtime belief that Spider-Man could be gay.
More than a decade after first proposing the idea, the "Amazing Spider-Man" star revisited his 2013 comments in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. Garfield said his support for a more inclusive version of the Marvel superhero has not changed.
"I just still believe that anyone can be in that suit," Garfield told the outlet while promoting his upcoming historical drama, "The Uprising," which is set to arrive in theaters Sept. 11.
Garfield said his original remarks were partly an "exercise of rebellion" but reflected a belief he continues to hold. Spider-Man's widespread appeal, he argued, comes from the character's ability to represent people across different backgrounds and identities.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California would allow Jews to voluntarily identify their Jewish heritage on state forms under a bill the state Legislature passed Monday.
The bill, which lawmakers sent to Gov. Gavin Newsom's desk, would require state agencies that collect demographic information to add "Jewish" as an option for ethnicity or ancestry. The goal is to give state officials and researchers better data on Jewish Californians, including their unemployment rates and representation in schools.
The data would enable lawmakers to create policies that address the needs of Jews in the state, said David Bocarsly, CEO of Jewish California, an advocacy group.
"It's about inclusion as a community," Bocarsly said, noting the Legislature has passed laws in recent years to collect more inclusive demographic data on Middle Eastern, North African and LGBTQ+ communities.
Some opponents of the bill are worried about the idea of the state collecting such data given the traumatic history of the **** government keeping records of Jews during the Holocaust. The proposal would bar agencies from disclosing "personal identifying information," and bill author Henry Stern, a Democratic state senator who is Jewish, said California already has robust privacy protections that should **** uage those concerns.

Toast, Inc. (NYSE:TOST) delivered strong second-quarter 2026 financial results, highlighted by raised full-year guidance across key profitability metrics. The restaurant management software provider raised its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA outlook to $805 million–$825 million, up from its previous projection of $790 million–$810 million. Management also raised its guidance for recurring gross profit streams, defined as subscription services and financial technology solutions gross profit, to $2,325 million–$2,355 million (23%–25% year-over-year growth).
For Q2 2026, total revenue reached $1.90 billion, climbing 23% year-over-year, while total gross profit reached $516 million. GAAP net income rose sharply to $154 million ($0.26 per diluted share) from $80 million ($0.13 per share) in Q2 2025. Adjusted EBITDA reached $221 million, inclusive of a $10 million one-time benefit from tariff refunds, which management plans to reinvest into strategic growth initiatives. Operational expansion remained robust: Annualized Recurring Run-Rate (ARR) surged 25% year-over-year to $2.4 billion, supported by 22% growth in Gross Payment Volume (GPV) to $60.7 billion. The company added a record 9,500 net new locations in the quarter, bringing its global active footprint to approximately 180,000 locations.
This raises a core question: Does Toast, Inc. (NYSE:TOST)'s operational momentum and platform expansion justify a valuation premium, or will increasing market saturation and macroeconomic pressure on restaurant spending cap further upside?
Bulls emphasize Toast, Inc. (NYSE:TOST)'s industry-leading software adoption and expanding ecosystem. Following the Q2 report, on August 12, Truist raised its price target on Toast to $39 from $33 on August 12, maintaining a Buy rating. The firm noted higher recurring gross profit estimates driven by location net adds and rising subscription SaaS ARPU as new product launches ramp up. Operational tailwinds received another boost on August 10 when Adyen announced an expanded partnership with Toast into the U.S., supporting Toast's more than $215 billion in annual GPV across 180,000 locations and scaling its global processing capabilities.
Bears argue that persistent inflation and consumer spending fatigue could pressure restaurant transaction volumes, impacting Toast, Inc. (NYSE:TOST)'s payment processing revenues. While DA Davidson raised its price target to $34 from $30 on August 10 following the Q2 beat, the firm maintained a Neutral rating, pointing to a balanced risk-reward profile. Additionally, Toast's Q2 EPS of $0.26 came in below certain consensus estimates despite top-line beats, reflecting ongoing investments in international scaling, enterprise sales, and AI features like Toast IQ Grow. Free cash flow also slowed to $130 million in Q2 2026 from $208 million in the prior-year period.

Last week, Good Good Golf released an ad spot for its co-branded Callaway driver. In it, Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark tackles a woman who dared reach for his driver, stands over her, and says, "Do not touch my new driver."
After swift and intense backlash, the ad was deleted, but not before several people preserved it on the internet.
"We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand," Good Good Golf, a YouTube phenomenon-turned brand, said in an official statement posted Saturday. "We have since taken that content down, and sincerely apologize. Good Good has always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive to all, and we will continue to ensure that is our mission moving forward."
Callaway Golf CEO Chip Brewer and Good Good CEO Matt Kendrick also released separate statements, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Those statements did not stop the avalanche. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp condemned the ad and Good Good's "disappointing" and "defensive" response. Golf Channel postponed the premiere of its Big Break x Good Good reality show. ****** 's Sporting Goods and Galaxy Golf reportedly pulled Good Good merchandise from stores.

Blake Lively has been awarded less than $410,000 (£320,000) in legal costs from Justin Baldoni.
The actor had requested $8.04 million (£6.07 million) following their It Ends with Us legal battle. A judge dubbed her request an "outrageously unreasonable demand".
In June, the Gossip Girl star filed a request to a federal judge asking that she be awarded the millions in legal fees and litigation costs following the dismissal of the defamation-related lawsuit brought against her by her It Ends with Us co-star and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.
Lively's lawyers argued that the work involved in defending the lawsuit was "comprehensive and necessary to achieve the complete win that was secured", adding that The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants star "has paid, and continues to pay" her legal bills.
Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, noted at the time, "Lively's fee request is so over-inclusive that it sweeps in fees for researching her own liability for perjury arising from her California CRD claim and her Rule 11 motion for which the Court has already denied fees," TMZ reported.
Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, addressed the bitter legal battle in a video posted to social media soon after.

Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe took aim at Enes Kanter on an episode of his "Nightcap" podcast, accusing the former NBA player of "rage baiting" for attention. Sharpe, alongside Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson and former NBA All-Star Joe Johnson, questioned Kanter's motives after he was ejected from a WNBA game following a heated exchange with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud.
Shannon Sharpe and Joe Johnson call out enes kanter for his antics after he got into with Natasha cloud. He doing too much for a guy who was a role player his whole career . Him getting into with the wnba feels like he’s looking for his 15mins of fame https://t.co/zgLTSABUfJ pic.twitter.com/fr3ASLwoQb
Sharpe and his co-hosts wasted no time calling out Kanter during an episode of "Nightcap," saying the former Boston Celtics player only attended to draw attention to himself and make a ruckus. "He probably ain't never been to no WNBA game. Then go there just to be the agitator, just cause ruckus, just to make the headlines. Come on, bro, what we doing?" Joe Johnson said.
Sharpe didn't seem as annoyed as others, saying Kanter's motive is likely to rile people up so he can garner attention. "He's rage baiting. Then he's gonna run to Fox News and talk about, 'See, this is what I'm talking about, they're not inclusive. They wanna have their cake and eat it too' and yada yada yada yada yada," he said.
Sharpe didn't end there; the 8X Pro-Bowler even came for Kanter's ability to perform, saying if he "were good," he'd still be in the NBA. "His own home country don't want him back," Sharpe said.

New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart addressed the WNBA's broad platform as competing rallies outside arenas continue following Sophie Cunningham's controversial statements on transgender athletes.
Ahead of Saturday's game against the Indiana Fever, Stewart emphasized that while public scrutiny is surging, the league must preserve its inclusive environment.
When Fever guard Cunningham revealed her stance on trans athletes participating in women's sports during an ESPN interview, she set off a massive chain reaction across the WNBA.
Demonstrations quickly popped up outside arenas in Seattle, Chicago, and Dallas, and by the time the Fever traveled to Brooklyn to face the New York Liberty, competing rallies were planned right outside Barclays Center.
Historically, Liberty's Stewart has been one of the WNBA's most vocal champions for social justice and a strong ally to the transgender community.

Stewart delivered a nuanced statement on the current debate surrounding trans athletes and the WNBA in an interview, directly addressing Cunningham's comments but not attacking her for having this difference of opinion.
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This league is incredibly inclusive, in what we continue to fight for and stand up against. So we don't want to take that platform away."

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart has always seen the WNBA as an inclusive place that has served as a safe ******* e for both its fans and the players. That's been challenged lately.
The WNBA has been the subject of recent debates on whether transgender women — people ******* igned male at birth who transition to align with their gender identity — should be allowed to participate in the league. There have been small rallies and protests outside Indiana Fever games after the issue came to a head when Sophie Cunningham of the Fever said in an ESPN profile published last month that she was opposed to transgender girls and women competing in girls' and women's sports. There are rallies planned before the Liberty face the Fever on Saturday night in Brooklyn.
"Knowing that rallies are happening on both sides shows the platform that the W has and the stunts for attention are just continuing to try and ride the wave that we have," Stewart told a small group of reporters Saturday morning. "I want Liberty fans and even Indy fans that are going to come here tonight to be able to have this arena be a safe ******* e."
At least three fans were asked by WNBA security personnel to cover shirts that had messages about transgender women participating in women's sports during last Sunday's game at Atlanta between the Dream and the Fever. The league later said the fans should have been free to wear those shirts.

Portland, Oregon, mother Allison Roberts filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against Portland Public Schools and her children's elementary school after allegedly facing retaliation over her opposition to their gender curriculum.
According to the Liberty Justice Center, which filed the lawsuit on behalf of Roberts, she initially expressed concern last year over Meriwether Lewis Elementary School's decision to repaint its traditional rainbow pride flag into an "Intersex-Inclusive Progress" variant to include support for racial and transgender ideology.
Though Roberts supported "being immersed" in Portland's gay community, she felt that the new flag was "an overtly political symbol that promotes values contradictory to her Christian faith," specifically due to its promotion of transgenderism.

The Atlanta Dream hosted the Indiana Fever on Sunday night in what was one of the most exciting games of the regular season. The Fever, led by superstar Caitlin Clark, who scored 26 points and dished out nine ****** ists, won the game in overtime with a final score of 95-91.
Unfortunately, some of the discourse surrounding the game on Monday had nothing to do with the amazing product on the floor. Two fans attending the game were wearing "XX-XY" shirts. The shirts are widley seen as a subtle way of advocating against transgender athletes participating in women's sports, a debate that has surrounded the Fever since reserve guard Sophie Cunningham's comments in a July 21 ESPN profile.
"I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I'm like, 'I never once said that,'" she said. "I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men."
The fans wearing the shirts on Sunday were forced to cover them with Dream apparel that was provided to them. Shockingly, on Monday, the Dream gave a statement on the incident, making it clear that the franchise does not support the decision that league's decision to cover the shirts.
"The Atlanta Dream believes in creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone," the team posted on its official X account. "Unfortunately, at last night's game, WNBA security took actions that fell short of that standard. At no point was Dream personnel involved in the decisions made by WNBA security.

Two fans were asked by league security to cover their shirts, which bore messages regarding transgender athlete participation in women's sports, during Sunday's game between the Indiana Fever and the Atlanta Dream. A statement from a WNBA spokesperson said the individuals should not have been asked to do so.
Per the statement, "The WNBA is aware of interactions at last night's game in Atlanta in which fans were asked by league security to cover their shirts. This should not have happened."
One individual was wearing a shirt in support of transgender people, while the other was wearing a shirt with the XX-XY message. During a segment called "Jam Cam" between the first and second quarters on Sunday, the State Farm Arena video board briefly showed a woman wearing a "Protect Trans Kids" T-shirt. Another individual wearing a T-shirt saying "Trans kids belong in sports" was shown on the broadcast during the end of the regulation and in overtime.
The security officials have been informed by the league that they acted incorrectly by asking the messages to be covered.

XX-XY Athletics—a two-year-old apparel brand founded by former elite gymnast Jennifer Sey with a mission to "protect women's sports"—is at the center of another WNBA controversy.
Two fans attending Sunday night's Atlanta Dream–Indiana Fever game were reportedly told they would need to cover their XX-XY shirts with Atlanta Dream shirts or they would be escorted from the arena.
A WNBA spokesperson confirmed the incident in a statement to Front Office Sports, saying, "The WNBA is aware of interactions at last night's game in Atlanta in which fans were asked by league security to cover their shirts. This should not have happened."
When reached for comment, the Dream first pointed to the league's statement, later adding: "The Atlanta Dream believes in creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Unfortunately, at last night's game, WNBA security took actions that fell short of that standard. At no point were Dream personnel involved in the decisions made by WNBA security."
Another source familiar with the situation said there were multiple interactions between security personnel and fans regarding apparel at the Gateway Center on Sunday, including with fans wearing messages representing different viewpoints on trans women competing in women's sports.

After the National ******* ociation of Black Journalists accused Stephen A. Smith of disparaging Black women, Stephen A. Smith is accusing the NABJ of conducting a personal hit job.
Smith received the "Thumbs Down" award at the NABJ's Saturday night gala in Atlanta, an dishonor given to individuals or institutions conducting "especially insensitive, racist or stereotypical reporting, commentary, photography or cartooning about the Black community or for engaging in practices at odds with the goals of NABJ."
With the "Thumbs Down" award typically being reserved for institutions, Smith, who brought First Take to the NABJ convention in 2024, is just the fourth individual to win the organization's biggest dishonor.
"Smith has established a recurring public pattern of disparaging commentary directed at prominent Black women across politics, sports, and media," the organization explained Saturday. "Such commentary reinforces harmful narratives, undermines the fair and respectful representation of Black women in public discourse, and stands in direct conflict with NABJ's longstanding commitment to accurate, responsible, and inclusive portrayals of Black communities."
Despite the pointed insult, the ESPN star and newfound political pundit still credited the NABJ for helping his career, calling it the "preeminent Black journalism organization existing." But Smith was blindsided by winning the award, and if the NABJ and its president Errin Haines sought to catch his attention, they succeeded. Smith responded Monday afternoon with a 45-minute retort on his YouTube channel.

"I'm the mayhem," said fishing guide Branden Trager in reference to his fishing and hunting guide company Adventures with Mayhem Outfitters. The business is based in Brush Prairie, Wash., but the Trager family splits time between Brush Prairie and the Long Beach Peninsula. "We're nomadic," he said.
Trager was in Astoria on the docks of the West End Mooring Basin on Saturday, Aug. 15 to ****** ist with the Lipstick Salmon Slayers tournament, a women-only salmon fishing tournament that brings hundreds to the Columbia River Buoy 10 fishery to compete for cash prizes and empower women fishers.
In line with the spirit of the event, Trager said he was there to support his wife Erica — the organizer of the tourney. She was busy at the event's other location setting up for a celebratory dinner that would lure the women anglers from the docks to a dinner that evening.
Trager's singular goal that day was to provide an inclusive atmosphere for the female salmon slayers lined up on the dock.
The intent was "to have a safe, welcoming environment and not have to worry about being the only girl on board, because that happens a lot as a fishing guide," said Trager. "We have a lot of instances where there is just one girl on the boat. Of course, we make her feel welcomed but it's super fun when it's six gals on the boat. Just being with each other while they are just having the best day of their lives."

One of the most polarizing figures in sports media is none other than ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. Depending on who you ask, there are plenty of reasons to either love or dislike Smith.
From his over-the-top television personality and controversial takes to, at times, uninformed ****** ysis, and political commentary, Smith draws viewers while also opening the door for controversy.
This week, Smith was voted for an award by the National ****** ociation of Black Journalists (NABJ). However, it was not a flattering award. According to multiple reports, Smith received the organization's "Thumbs Down" award.

Zoe Saldaña is growing frustrated with political questions, mainly because she doesn't find them being asked in equal measure across the industry. The Oscar winner said during a conversation at the Locarno Film Festival that she often participates in Q&As because she is eager to talk about the craft of acting. However, Saldaña keeps finding herself fielding political questions instead.
"One thing that's incredibly limiting, and frustrating, is when I'm the only person of color or the only woman on stage, and that happens quite a lot for women and for people of color. And I wait for my turn to be asked a question about my craft, and I'm asked the political question," Saldaña said, giving the following example: "What do you think we need to do to make films more inclusive?"

The Trump administration's Department of Transportation (DOT) has proposed loosening a 2011 Obama-era rule that requires airlines and travel sites to show the total price travelers actually pay.
The current "full fare advertising rule," which centers on consumer protection, requires both U.S. and foreign air carriers and ticket agents that advertise airfares to "state the entire price to be paid by the customer, inclusive of all mandatory taxes and fees," (including both government and carrier surcharges) at the first mention. The rule also prohibits any sellers of air transportation from "displaying in airfare advertisements charges that are included within the airfare more prominently or in the same or larger font size than the total single price."

"I hated it," Matthew Pearson recalls of his time playing rugby as a schoolboy. "It was very cliquey and I was always the last person to be picked."
But now, on a warm Wednesday evening, the 40-year-old from King's Lynn, Norfolk, is at a training session with East Anglia's newest gay and inclusive rugby team.
Pearson drives just over an hour every week to take part in the sessions with the Cambridge Yales, which launched in June and is regularly attracting about 40 players from across Cambridgeshire and the East of England.
When taking a break from training at Cambridge Rugby Club, Pearson admits he knew little about the sport before his first session.
"I'm very much learning and I'm definitely enjoying it. The coaches have been fantastic," he says.
