The Aggies' base is chaos, with shifts, movements and glove-to-glove combat in the trenches and running lanes. "When things get so cranky, like how many blitzes and stunts, it looks like Star Wars to us," weakside linebacker Sone Aupiu said. His first two NMSU seasons, Aupiu played middle linebacker. Speaking to BBC Sport, Jones said: "Why should my opportunity to have a family be taken away from me because I want to pursue my career?"
Jones revealed she has already started her fertility journey with her fiancee after visiting a clinic to have their egg count checked.
The 29-year-old says that she's an "open book" on some subjects and wants to "share her journey" as she discusses both her upcoming wedding and family planning with equal comfort.
"We were looking to freeze, but actually the advice was we don't need to freeze yet so we can probably wait till after the wedding," said Jones. "That's where we were going to look to conceive."

Dragons co-captain Ben Carter will be fit for the start of the 2026-27 United Rugby Championship (URC) after recovering from a summer ankle injury suffered with Wales.
The lock was ruled out of the Nations Championship defeat by South Africa in mid-July after a blow in training.
Carter, who had started Wales' six previous games, was on crutches and saw specialists on his return to Dragons.
The 25-year-old did not need surgery and is working towards his side's URC opener at Benetton on Friday, 25 September (19:45 BST).

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — South Africa and New Zealand fly together to Baltimore on Sunday to conclude their epic rugby test series without key players Cheslin Kolbe and Ardie Savea.
Both suffered series-ending injuries on Saturday as the world champion Springboks beat the All Blacks 29-24 and grabbed a 2-1 lead in the four-test series.
Kolbe, South Africa's flawless goalkicker in the series, broke his jaw when he was run over by Luke Jacobson, and Savea, the All Blacks captain, possibly dislocated his right shoulder in a clearout by Jasper Wiese. Also, New Zealand center Quinn Tupaea damaged his MCL.
Neither team planned to replace them in the squad for the final match next Saturday at the NFL home of the Baltimore Ravens.

Scarlets have released summer signing Chris Apoua after the forward ruptured an Achilles in training.
The 34-year-old tight-head prop signed for the Llanelli-based club in August from Super Rugby side Moana Pasifika.
But the veteran, who has played provincial rugby in New Zealand with Northland and Southland, suffered a serious injury soon after linking up with Nigel Davies' squad and will miss the entire 2026-27 season.

The scene in Bilbao, in 2024, foreshadowed the change that would come. Michele Kang, the owner of OL Lyonnes, strode around the edge of the pitch in the San Mames to greet the travelling supporters of the women's football powerhouse, who were buoyed by her ambition and intent to invest. Barcelona won 2-0 to lift their third Women's Champions League **** le in four years, thanks to goals from their two Ballon d'Or winners Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas. But while Kang, the South Korean-born American billionaire and philanthropist, vowed that Lyonnes would return stronger, her sphere of influence was also primed to have an impact elsewhere.

Within two years, London City have disrupted women's football and have now set their sights on challenging for the WSL **** le. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) said the union had "put in the hard yards" and made improvements to the way it handled harassment and discrimination.

JUJUY, Argentina (AP) — Australia took its scoring chances and showed steel in defense, leading end to end to beat Argentina 27-21 Saturday in the first of two rugby test matches.
Tries in the first 10 minutes to hooker Brandon Paenga-Amoso and flyhalf Carter Gordon gave Australia an early buffer which it protected against an adventurous but less clinical Argentina.
Australia clung to its final six point margin for the last 27 minutes of the match when tiredness induced by altitude in the mountainous venue saw some sloppiness and imprecision invade its game.

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — Motor neurone disease has not stopped Jai Arrow's attempt to bring up a career milestone in Australia's National Rugby League.
Earlier this week, the NRL allowed an exception to its rules to allow the veteran forward a chance to be on the field for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in his 99th and 100th rugby league games for the club, if only for the first few seconds of the game.
Arrow was subsequently named co-captain and led South Sydney onto the field through a guard of honor for Saturday's game against the Gold Coast ****** ans Saturday, in an emotional scene that brought tears to players and fans alike.
The 31-year-old was visibly moved, frequently looking to the sky as he embraced several teammates while "You'll Never Walk Alone" played around the stadium.
As the referee signaled the start of the match, a brief pause allowed Arrow to be substituted without taking part in any play.

The Welsh Rugby Union has issued pitch safety advice to community clubs for the new season after a record-breaking summer.
Wales recorded its hottest ever day on 24 June with temperatures soaring to 35.9C in Cardiff, while July was the driest since records began 190 years ago.
The weather has left rugby pitches across the country bone dry, with surfaces as hard as concrete.
With the obvious injury risks to players, the WRU has written to all community clubs with guidance on how to ****** s the conditions before next week's opening matches.
It also says clubs can reschedule fixtures without risking any sanction up until mid-September, while match officials can overrule decisions on safety grounds.

At least one in four NFL players could develop chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a progressive brain disease linked to repeated head impacts, new research suggests.
Researchers found CTE in 215 of 878 former NFL players who died between 2016 and 2021, meaning 24.5 percent have died with CTE. The study was led by Dr. Daniel Daneshvar, a physician and researcher at Mass General Brigham and Harvard Medical School, along with researchers from Boston University and other institutions.
That figure may underestimate how common CTE is among former NFL players. Researchers examined the brains of 235 of the 878 players who died during the study period, leaving 643 brains unexamined.
CTE is caused by repeated head impacts and can only be definitively diagnosed after death. It is extremely rare without repeated head trauma. The disease can cause memory loss, confusion, mood changes, impaired decision-making, impulsive behavior and addiction, according to the American Brain Foundation.
CTE was first identified in boxers nearly a century ago and has since been found in other athletes exposed to repeated head impacts, including hockey, rugby, soccer, wrestling and bobsledding. Researchers have also found evidence suggesting military personnel exposed to repeated blasts may be at risk.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has called for a severe punishment following Brydon Carse's latest involvement in a nightclub incident, saying the ECB must take action strong enough to deter the entire England cricket setup from similar behaviour.

Carse became the latest England player to attract scrutiny after a video emerged showing the fast bowler handcuffed by police outside a nightclub. He was briefly arrested while out with Durham team-mates Ben Stokes and Matthew Potts, leading the England and Wales Cricket Board to investigate the incident.

Carse had been part of England's squad for two of the three Tests against Pakistan but was released to play for Durham after being left out of the XI for the first Test at Leeds. He contributed 26 runs and returned figures of 2-82 as Durham beat Derbyshire inside three days.

The 30-year-old then went out with his Durham team-mates to celebrate the victory, during which the incident occurred.

The ECB subsequently confirmed that Carse "will no longer be available for selection" for the second Test against Pakistan at Lord's on Thursday. Hampshire right-arm seamer Sonny Baker has been called up as his replacement.

Vaughan believes the latest episode requires a response that sends a clear message across English cricket.

"Someone is going to have to get a punishment that sends a shiver down the whole England cricket team and right down through the programme, so that everyone knows that if you misbehave or bring any kind of bad reputation on to this team, you know what's going to come," former England captain Vaughan said on BBC Radio. "It's the only punishment that will really hurt players."

Carse's case comes amid a series of off-field incidents involving England players over the past year. Last October, white-ball captain Harry Brook was punched by a bouncer outside a nightclub in Wellington, New Zealand, while Jacob Bethell and Josh Tongue were also present.

During the Ashes tour of Australia, Ben Duckett was filmed apparently drunk during England's holiday in Noosa.

Then, in June, former Test captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson broke a team curfew and were present when a member of England's security staff was punched by Saracens rugby player in a London nightclub.

Vaughan acknowledged that Carse could feel hard done by if he is punished heavily in light of the wider pattern of incidents.

"I hope Carse is getting good support around him. He is a character who can be a little bit loose and if you give him a bit of rope he'll take a huge amount of it. He needs people around him who are giving him better advice.

"I would feel for Carse if he is the one who takes the rap for what has happened over the past nine months, but somewhere, somehow, something has to be done to set a precedent that they won't stand for that behaviour any more," said Vaughan.

Boston was an rugby icon, a trailblazer for black players and the very first rugby league player to be awarded a knighthood - which he received in 2025 - ending the sport's 130-year wait for the honour.
He was born in Cardiff in 1934 and grew up playing rugby union before making the switch to rugby league and signing for Wigan Warriors in 1953 at 19-years-old.
A year later after just a few matches for Wigan, Boston was selected for Great Britain and faced Australia and New Zealand becoming the first non-white player to tour down under.

Rugby league legend Sir Billy Boston has died aged 92.
Last year, he became the first player in rugby league's 130-year history to receive a knighthood.
Born in Cardiff in 1934, Boston grew up playing union but - overlooked by his home club - came to the attention of rugby league scouts while on national service in the north of England, signing for Wigan in 1953 as a 19-year-old.
Despite having played just a handful of games in league, the young winger's talent was quickly evident and Boston was picked for the 1954 Great Britain side that went to Australia and New Zealand - becoming the first black British player to tour down under.
He reached the 100-try milestone in just 68 matches after his switch from union.

SYDNEY (AP) — Motor neurone disease is not likely to stop Jai Arrow trying to bring up a career milestone in Australia's National Rugby League.
The NRL is planning an exception to its rules to allow the veteran forward a chance to be on the field for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in his 99th and 100th rugby league games for the club, if only for a few moments.
Arrow, 31, was diagnosed in May with Motor neurone disease, which MND Australia describes as an umbrella term for a group of progressive neurological conditions where the motor neurones degenerate. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is the most common form, and ALS is often called Lou Gehrig's disease.
As part of an agreement with the Rabbitohs, the NRL granted South Sydney special dispensation to include Arrow as an extra player on Tuesday's official team list and an extra substitution in their rotation for the game against the Gold Coast ******* ans on Saturday. A similar dispensation will be allowed for South Sydney's last regular season game against Sydney Roosters.
According to the NRL, Arrow will get dressed in South Sydney playing kit for the two NRL game days in the Rabbitohs dressing room, lead the Rabbitohs team onto the field of play, be the team's first interchange of the match within the first few seconds after the opening whistle without taking part in any play during the game, and be able to sit on the interchange bench for the remainder of the game in his playing kit.
